회전형 MR 댐퍼를 이용한 반능동 현가장치의 퍼지 스카이-훅 제어 (Fuzzy Sky-hook Control of Semi-active Suspension System Using Rotary MR Damper)

  • 최근 고층건물의 방진시스템 및 자동차의 현가장치 분야에 MR 유체를 이용한 반능동 진동제어에 관한 연구가 활발히 진행되면서 MR 유체의 밸브모드 특성을 이용한 선형 MR 댐퍼가 널리 사용되고 있다. 그러나 전단모드를 이용한 회전형 MR 댐퍼에 관한 연구는 초기단계에 머물고 있다. 본 연구에서는, 주행로봇의 무한회전형 액츄에이터용 회전형 댐퍼의 진동제어에 관한 연구를 수행하였으며, 퍼지 로직을 기반으로 한 회전형 MR 댐퍼용 진동제어 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 퍼지제어기의 입출력 이득과 멤버쉽 함수의 모양은 유전자 알고리즘을 이용하여 조정하였다. 시뮬레이션 결과는 MR 댐퍼에 충격력이 가해질 때 퍼지 스카이-훅 제어의 제어성능을 보여준다.

순간중심을 이용한 평면 3 자유도 자동차 모델의 롤 운동 해석 (Roll Motion Analysis of a 3 D.O.F. Planar Car Model using Instantaneous Centers)

  • In this paper, a planar car model with 3 degrees of freedom was analyzed using the concept of the roll center. To avoid ambiguity, force components which require experimental data were excluded. Only kinematic approach was used to find the position and orientation of the vehicle body and the position of the roll center. The roll center was found by the pole with infinitesimal movement and Kennedy-Aronhold theorem. Centrodes, which are the loci of instantaneous centers of planar motion, were constructed with analyzed results to show characteristics of vehicle body motion. To verify the presented analysis method in this paper, the locus of the roll center and the motion of a 3 D.O.F. planar car model were compared with those of the 1 D.O.F. model.

  • The role of bushing elements linked between suspension parts is to enhance ride quality and handling stability by the spring and damping effect from the elastic deformation. In this paper, a theoretical derivation and computer implementation off a bushing element are proposed. Three different vehicle models are generated to test the developed bushing module. The developed bushing module is implemented as a bushing module in the vehicle dynamic analysis program AUTODYN7.

  • In this study, we perform the optimization of trailing arm bush in a vehicle rear suspension to improve the ride and handling performance. A design problem was formulated considering 2 objective functions and 7 constraints related to vehicle ride and handling performance. PIAnO, one of the PIDO (Process Integration and Design Optimization) tool, was used to automate analysis procedures and perform a design optimization. In order to assess relation between performances and design variables, we perform the DOE (Design of Experiments). To find the optimal solution, we used Progressive quadratic response surface method (PQRSM), one of the design optimization techniques equipped in PIAnO. As an optimization result, we got an optimal solution and could improve lateral force steer off-center by 43.0% while decreasing brake compliance at wheel center by 8.1%.

  • 쇽옵서버 피스톤로드(shock absorber piston rod)는 자동차의 충격과 진동의 흡수에 작용하는 자동차 현가장치(suspension equipment)부품의 일종이다. 피스톤로드는 자동차 충격흡수에 매우 밀접한 영향을 주기 때문에 제조에 있어서 고도의 정밀도와 표면 매끄러움이 요구된다. 피스톤로드의 제조공정은 선삭, 홈가공, 밀링, 전조 등 여러 공정으로 구성되는데, 여기서 품질불량에 가장 크게 영향을 주는 공정은 선삭공정(lathing process)이다. 이는 선삭공정의 가공공구(insert component)가 주원인으로서 반복되는 가공으로 인한 공구의 마모(abrasion)나 파손(breakage)이 주요 원인으로 지적되고 있다. 따라서 가공 데이터를 수집 분석하여 공구의 교체시기를 파악한다거나 가공 부품의 측정 데이터가 관리도 상하한선 내에 있는지 등 가공 공정 전반에 대한 체계적인 공정관리 시스템 개발이 요구된다. 본 연구에서는 자동차 쇽업서버 피스톤로드 제조공정의 가공 정보를 체계적으로 수집하여 관리하고 분석하는 자동차 쇽업서버 피스톤로드 제조공정에 대한 공정관리시스템을 개발하는 것이 목적이다. 개발결과 피스톤 로드의 측정 치수 변화 및 불량발생을 측정, 감지할 수 있었으며, 본 시스템을 통해 가공공구의 치수오차를 보정(compensation)하고 공정의 불량발생을 조기에 방지 함으로써 불량률은 1/5로 경감하고 작업자 수도 1/2로 감소시킬 수 있었다.

  • Kinematic design sensitivity analysis for vehicle in suspension systems design is performed. Suspension systems are modeled using composite joins to reduce the number of the constraint equations. This allows a semi-analytical approach that is computerized symbolic manipulation before numerical computations and that may compensate for their drawbacks. All the constraint equations including design variables are derived in symbolic equations for sensitivity analysis. By directly differentiating the equations with respect to design variables, sensitivity equations are obtained. Since the proposed method only requires the hard point data, sensitivity analysis is possible in suspension design stage.

외력과 부싱변형을 고려한 무질량 링크 모델 개발 (Development of the Massless Link Model including External Force and Bushing Deformation)

  • In this paper, a massless link model transmitting external forces is developed to achieve the numerical efficiency in simulation of vehicle suspension systems. Forces acting on links are resolved and transmitted to attached points with a quasi-static assumption. Also, a theoretical derivation and computer implementation of a massless link with bushing elements are proposed. In the massless link with bushing elements, one end is connected to the adjacent body with bushings and the other end is connected with a spherical joint. The deformation of a massless link with bushing elements is theoretically determined by minimizing the potential energy function with quasi-static equilibrium assumption at each time step. Several simulations with a full vehicle model are carried out to compare the efficiency of the developed massless link component. From the results, it is concluded that the proposed approach can reduce the computational time considerably.

랙-피니언 조향기구의 조향오차 최적설계 (Optimum Design for Reducing Steering Error of Rack-and-Pinion Steering Linkage)

  • This paper addresses an optimization for reducing a steering error of a rack-and-pinion steering linkage with a MacPherson strut independent front suspension system. The length, orientations and inner joint positions of a tie-rod are selected as design variables and Ackerman geonetry, understeer effect, minimum turn radius, wheel alignment and packaging are considered as design constraints. Nonlinear kinematic analysis of the steering system is performed for calculating the values of cost and constraints, and Augmented Lagrange Multiplier(ALM) method is used for solving the constrained optinization problem. The optimization results show that the steering error are considerably reduced while satisfying all the constraints.

  • An analysis of handling characteristics of a vehicle is performed for step and pulse steering input, which may be very useful in suspension design stage. Many developed computer programs for vehicle dynamics require test data of compliance effects for proto type car. Therefore, these programs are not suitable for automobile development stage. Using the raw design data of suspension and steering system, we analyze the vehicle behavior for step and pulse steering input with commercial multibody dynamics program, ADAMS. Simulated results are in good agreement with vehicle test results. Vehicle handling characteristics parameters which are very useful in automobile suspension design are evaluated from the analysis.
