  • The purpose of this paper is to study for a failure examples producing in electronic control air conditioner in vehicle. The first example, it looked for the repetitive fuse cutting phenomenon that the diode using for a surge voltage prevention of inner A/C relay damaged because of no absorbing the surge voltage by short of diode when the A/C is off. The second example, it knew the icing phenomenon of evaporator that the A/C ECU didn't control the A/C because of inner cutting of fin thermo sensor. The third example, it verified the operation trouble phenomenon because of the A/C switch and for sensor burned in flames by short phenom enon when the sheath of the cable has peeled off. Therefore, the driver have to manage the optimism system of a car by thoroughgoing inspection and improvement the failure phenomenon.

  • Sternal fractures, once thought of as an uncommon phenomenon, have occurred with an increasing frequency, paralleling the incidence of motor vehicle accidents. The tremendous force necessary to cause sternal fracture and this bone's prominent position overlying major intrathoracic and mediastinal structures, have important implications in the assessment and treatment of patients. This evaluation is based on the review of 72 patients of traumatic sternal fracture treated at the Department of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery, Seoul Adventist Hospital during the last 4 years from March 1993 to February 1997. The frequency was 12.2% of nonpenetrating chest trauma and average age was 43.2 years old. Automobile accidents(84%) and sternal body fractures(95.8%) with anterior displacements(19.4%) was the most common cause and fracture site. Increase of cardiac isoenzymes was more frequent and higher in sternal fracture than chest contusion but there was no relationship between the time to take normalization of them and the mode of trauma.

  • The purpose of this paper is to study for failure examples of emission gas recirculation and air control and catalyzed particulate filter system in diesel engine vehicle. The first example, the researcher found the fact that the much engine oil came into the intake manifold causing diaphragm damage of EGR valve. The engine oil entered into combustion chamber of engine so that a car emit the polluted exhaust gas when driving. The second example, the researcher certified the sticking phenomenon of carbon and foreign substance with the throttle flap so that the exhaust fumes discharged exhaust port. The third example, the regeneration function don't activated to not detect the temperature of exhaust gas because of damage in the sensor. Thus, the researcher must meticulously manage his car not in order to take place the problem of environmental pollution.

Alternative to Improve the Lighting of Crosswalk on Rural Highways (지방지역 도로 횡단보도 조명 개선 방안)

  • While rural highways carry on lower traffic volumes, the deviations of running speeds between vehicles appear to be higher on rural highways than urban highways. The speed characteristic of rural highways is adding to pedestrian-related accidents which occur on a crosswalk with poor sight distance due to the limits of car headlights and lighting. Specially, the aged was mostly occupied in nighttime-related accidents on crosswalks, and pedestrians crossing on the far side of approaching vehicles appear to have the probability of fatality higher than the near side. An alternative is needed to resolve the compounded accidents, and then this study is to establish a new approach to an optimum lighting environment on a crosswalk to improve pedestrian safety. This study was conducted by a survey and a field study on the lighting of existing crosswalks. The field study shows that the existing lighting has the problem of wasting energy and impeding walking due to glare. The survey shows that nighttime sight distance on a crosswalk is required to improve and that road users prefer to be brighter pedestrian waiting space together with the crosswalk. Thus, a lighting environment that is not too bright and illuminates the crosswalk and the pedestrian waiting space is needed to implement.

  • The purpose of this paper is to study for fire example by fuel leakage in LPG Vehicle. At first example, the car was repaired the fuel line that was connected with pressure hose between fuel regulator and injector in engine. But the service man was not very tighten with regular torque. At a result, the gas leaked on hot parts of engine. It verified the production of fire by engine heat. At second example, when the repair man, after replacement the injector, inserted the injector in a assembling part of it, he didn't the transform condition of fixing part. Therefore, the tearing phenomenon of O ring producted the controlled leakage of fuel by the injector deflection. It found the fact that the fuel leaked with gap of O ring. At third example. the fuel-cut solenoid valve was lined with pressure regulator unit. But the service man didn't throughly certify the leaked work of connected parts after repaired it. As a result, it certified the fire by engine heating leaked liquefied petroleum gas. Therefore it have to minimize the fire production that the driver should do no problem to throughly manage the fuel system.

  • The purpose of this paper is to study for the emission gas control of passenger car. The first example, the PCSV never open when operating condition, but it opened by causing malfunction because of trouble. As a result, the purge gas entered into surge tank, a mount of fuel was displayed with excessive supply on tester. Therefore, it certified the bad-condition of the engine when idling by decreasing of fuel injection quantity from engine ECU. The second example, the hose activating a EGR valve didn't supply the vacuum pressure because of assembling the other part. Thus, it knew the bad-condition of engine that the EGR valve would not work normally by leaking with the other port. The third example, as the rear oxygen sensor of two sensor were fault-installing by changing the sensor of other a car it could not detect of oxygen quantity. Finally, it found the phenomenon of abruptly decreasing vehicle speed when braking a car. Therefore, the system including with emission control has to drastically manage by maximizing condition to role decreasing the emission gas.

An analysis of behavioral characteristics in drivers in roll-over accident (전복사고 운전자를 대상으로 자동차 안전장치에 대한 행동특성 분석)

  • This is to analyze of driver behavioral and the accident characteristics in rollover. The study period was January 2011 to May 2014 and the subject of study was 102 person who were drivers visited the emergency room. Research tool includes a damage information of the vehicle, accident mechanism, damage to the patient clinical information with the injury data from the ROAD Traffic Authority. For data analysis, SPSS 18.0 was used for t-test, ANOVA and Chi-square test. Injury Severity Score average score according to the vehicle type is 6.00 points in the smaller vehicle, at high vehicle 11.78 points, from the other vehicle that showed 14.70 points. Significant differences between the three groups did not show (P=.267). Men did not use a seat belt significantly compared to women(P=.007). Vehicle type and weather, this was no correlation with whether or not use the seat belt(P=.755, P=.793). But showed a tendency to smaller size vehicles drivers do not use a seat belt, the weather could see a little more inclined to use a seat belt rather than a sunny day. Finally, in rollover accidents as in other types of accident it was confirmed that the seat belt has a great influence on the damage.

마지막 최대빙하기 이후 북극해 스발바드군도 Van Mijenfjorden의 고환경 변화

  • Van Mijenfjorden은 스발바드 군도의 Spitsbergen 서부에 위치하는 두 번째로 큰 피오르드로 온난하고 염분도가 높은 북대서양의 표층수가 북극해로 유입되는 Gateway에 위치하기 때문에 전지구적이며 지역적인 기후변화의 영향을 받는 지역이다. 1999년 IMAGES 프로그램의 일환으로 프랑스 탐사선인 'R/V Marion Dufresne'을 이용하여 북극해의 스발바드 군도에 위치하는 Van Mijenfjorden (77$^{\circ}$ 46.87'N and 15$^{\circ}$ 17.81'E)에서 약 18m의 빙ㆍ해양 퇴적물 코아(MD99-2305)를 시추하여 마지막 최대 빙하기 이후의 고환경변화를 연구하였다. AMS 14C 연대 측정에 의하면 diamicton 층인 하부 2m를 제외한 16m의 퇴적층은 지난 12cal. ka BP경에 피오르드에 존재하던 조수빙하(tidewater glacier)가 해빙되기 시작한 이후에 퇴적되었다. 특히 유기지화학 자료와 부유성과 저서성 유공충의 산출양상 그리고 저서성 유공충인 C. reniforme의 산소ㆍ탄소 안정동위원소 비에 의하면 코아 MD99-2305에는 Van Mijenfjorden에서 홀로세 동안에 일어난 퇴적환경변화를 잘 기록하고 있다. 특히 홀로세 동안에 피오르드내의 퇴적환경 변화는 조수빙하의 확장과 후퇴와 밀접한 관계가 있으며, 유기물의 탄소동위원소(13Corg) 비는 -24에서 -22$\textperthousand$ 값의 변화를 보인다. 이는 Van Mijenfjorden 퇴적물에 공급된 유기물은 육상과 해양기원이 혼합되어 퇴적되었음을 지시한다. 지난 12 cal. ka BP 이후 13Corg 값이 뚜렷하게 변하는 것은 Van Mijenfiorden에서 조수빙하의 변동과 표층수에서의 생산력의 변화를 강하게 반영한다. 강하게 반영한다.53%가 이공계 출신, 100대 기업 CEO의 38.4%가 이공계 출신, 대입수능시험에서 자연계 지원비율이 감소 -40.1%('99)\$\longrightarrow$34.7%('00)\$\longrightarrow$29.4%('01)\$\longrightarrow$26.9%('02)\$\longrightarrow$30.3%('03)\$\longrightarrow$31.5%\$\longrightarrow$'04)필요성, 효과적인 운전자 교육 정책 등이 그것이다. 자동차 긴급 피난 차선은 유용한 시설로 여러곳에서 그 기능이 발휘되고 있으므로 많은 고속도로 관계자들은 설계, 시공 및 유지 관리 측면에서 유의해야 할 것이다.미세조직을 광학현미경으로 압출방향에 평행한 방향과 수직방향으로 관찰하였고, 열간 압출재 이방성을 검토하기 위하여 X선 회절분석을 실실하여 결정방위를 확인하였다. 전기 비저항 및 Seebeck 계수 측정을 위하여 각각 2$\times$2$\times$10$mm^3$ 그리고 5$\times$5$\times$10TEX>$mm^3$ 크기의 시편을 준비하였다.준비하였다.전류를 구성하는 주요 입자의 에너지 영역(75~l13keV)에서 가장 높은(0.80) 상관계수를 기록했다. 넷째, 회복기 중에 일어나는 입자들의 유입은 자기폭풍의 지속시간을 연장시키는 경향을 보이며 큰 자기폭풍일수록 현저했다. 주상에서 관측된 이러한 특성은 서브스톰 확장기 활동이 자기폭풍의 발달과 밀접한 관계가 있음을 시사한다.se that were all low in two aspects, named "the Nonsignificant group".   • High-speed 3D vision systems are essential for autonomous robot or vehicle control applications. In our study, a stereo vision process has been developed. It consists of three steps : extraction of edges in right and left images, matching corresponding edges and calculation of the 3D map. This process is implemented in a VME 150/40 Imaging Technology vision system. It is a modular system composed by a display, an acquisition, a four Mbytes image frame memory, and three computational cards. Programmable accelerator computational modules are running at 40 MHz and are based on TMS320C31 DSP with a $64{\times}32$ bit instruction cache and two $1024{\times}32$ bit internal RAMs. Each is equipped with 512 Kbytes static RAM, 4 Mbytes image memory, 1 Mbytes flash EEPROM and a serial port. Data transfers and communications between modules are provided by three 8 bit global video bus, and three local configurable pipeline 8 bit video bus. The VME bus is dedicated to system management. Tasks between DSPs are distributed as follows: two DSPs are used to edges detection, one for the right image and the other for the left one. The last processor computes the matching process and the 3D calculation. With $512{\times}512$ pixels images, this sensor generates dense 3D maps at a rate of about 1 Hz depending of the scene complexity. Results can surely be improved by using a special suited multiprocessors cards.

Evaluation and Improvement of a Subsidy Policy on Early Scrapping of Old Diesel Vehicles (노후경유차량 조기폐차 보조금 지원 제도 성과분석 및 개선방안)

  • A subsidy policy on early scrapping of old diesel vehicles has been activated to improve air pollution in Seoul metropolitan area. The benefit-cost analysis on this policy evidently shows cost effective as benefit is greater than cost. The policy currently provides 80% of old diesel vehicle's worth within the maximum amount capped which limited the effects on increasing the level of subsidy. Therefore, to induce more old diesel vehicles scrapped, it is needed to consider that the level of subsidy and the maximum amount are raised at the same time. Meanwhile, taking account of insufficient subsidy amount, granting older vehicles more subsidy would be a good way of extending the policy effect.
