A Study on the Helical Gear Inspection System for Vehicle Transmission Gear Manufacturing Line (생산라인용 자동차 변속기용 헬리컬 기어 검사 장치에 관한 연구)

  • This paper presents a study on the helical gear inspection system for application to vehicle transmission gear manufacturing lines. The special gear profile inspection system is not suitable for manufacturing lines due to the measuring time. The master gear method, which was used in this study and compared with the machined gear in the line, is more efficient and economical. In this paper, three helical gear inspection parameters were of concern: nick, run-out, and PCD (pitch circle diameter) error. To evaluate its influence on the accuracy, the gear measuring system was also studied. This system can be useful in practical vehicle transmission gear manufacturing lines, where imported equipment is currently being used.

  • The particulate matter that was emitted always come up by atmospheric environmental problem. Running on the road vehicles must have regular inspection at regular period and make sure the emissions of exhaust gases exceed the legal standards. Emission test for the atmospheric environment, but it is not free from the particulate matter. Currently, emission test of vehicle inspection is divided into regular inspection and close inspection. Regular inspection and close inspection differ not only the method of emission test, but also the facility standards that must have for this inspection. According to the "Regulations on the Implementation of Comprehensive vehicle Inspection, etc.", close inspection must have trapping device that is trap particulate matter by emission test to vehicle. However, regular inspection is different. Regular inspection do not specify any criteria for trapping facilities. Therefore, this study is confirm how to prevent the emission of particulate matter to the atmosphere during the year when mandatory trapping facilities are required to trapped particulate matter in the regular inspection.

  • X-rays are extensively employed for non-destructive inspection, applied to packaged food, human anatomy, and industrial products. Recently, this technology has extended to inspecting batteries in electric vehicles. Given the challenge of manual inspection for a substantial volume of batteries, deep learning is leveraged to detect battery defects. However, the effectiveness of deep learning heavily depends upon data size, and acquiring authentic defective images is a difficult and time-consuming task. In this study, we use data augmentation and investigate the impact of data size on battery inspection performance. The results provide valuable insights for enhancing the capabilities of the inspection process.

Emission Factor and Fuel Economy Calculation Using Vehicle Inspection and Maintenance Program (자동차 환경검사에 의한 대기오염물질 배출계수 및 연비 산출)

  • An objective of this study is to give practical information that could be used for calculating pollutant emission factors and fuel economy from Korean Inspection & Maintenance program, which has been using steady state acceleration simulation mode. Concentration results from I/M test is adequately converted to mass emission factors and fuel efficiency data, which have unit of g/km and km/L, respectively. Exhaust volume flow(EVF), which is for converting emission result from concentration to mass, is measured by tracer method in various vehicle speed - power condition. It is found that there is an apparent second order relationship between EVF and vehicle inertia weight. EVF is expressed in function of vehicle inertia weight in order to estimate EVF in I/M site without measuring device. Converted mass emission results from measured EVF and raw emission analyzer show a satisfactory agreement with those from conventional CVS-bag type measurement system. Mass emission factors and fuel efficiency from measured EVF and estimated EVF also show good agreement to each other. Considering that an I/M program has great advantages to recruit-based emission test in terms of the number of test vehicle, the information in this study can be used for developing an alternative procedure to collect more various data to establish national database of mobile emission factors and fuel economy, even though the driving cycle in I/M program is steady state cycle rather than transient cycle.

  • The automotive exhaust gases generated by the vehicles containing carbon monoxide, hydrocarbons and lead, is a large concern because of their harm to human health or the living environment. To reduce exhaust gas, it is important to develop a variety of techniques that are currently being used by elemental analysis to determine the optimal conditions. In this study, the anti-freeze coolant contained in the exhaust gas was examined, which can affect the emissions. The effects of the commercially available coolant from five domestic companies on the HC, NOx and $CO_2$ emissions were analyzed to determine the optimal amount of antifreeze. In addition, antifreeze products from the five companies were analyzed with respect to driving time of the cooling fan and the correlation of the NOx emission analysis. The temperature of the engine oil was matched using a manual gear of small passenger inspection standard speed $40{\pm}2Km/h$ so the vehicle could meet the specifications for inspection $90{\sim}93^{\circ}C$. The Company D fan operation time resulted in the shortest antifreeze, $CO_2$ and NOx emissions.

  • This study provides a program to promote effective project instruction. With a 4 step learning model as preparation, planning, implementation and evaluating it was adapted to a course of study in automobile electricity fields of college. The purpose of this study was to document project process from the learner's point of view and examine the effect of project instruction with recognition of learner who has completed a course of project study. The data from 28 learner in hardware and software automobile electricity fields of college were collected and interpreted statistically by t-test at the .05 level of significance. It was concluded as follows. It emphasizes the importance not only of motivating active group effort and cooperative relationship between group members, but also communication with presentation in order to have a successful accomplishment of a project.

Research on the Relation of the Exhaust Gas Concentration between Lug-Dowrn3 Test Mode and D147 Test Mode on the Driving Car Using Diesel Fuel (운행경유화 배출가스 Lug-Down3 모드 부하검사방법과 D147모드 부하검사방법간의 배출농도 상관성 비교 연구)

  • In this paper, we estimated the D147 mode test, which is introduced as a new emission test mode for the driving car using diesel fuel. And we compared the D147 test mode, Lug-Down3 test mode and no load acceleration test mode. And the exhaust gas concentration between the three modes was compared. The exhaust concentration at the D147 mode is lower than the exhause concentration at the Lug-Down 3 mode and higher than that at the no load acceleration test mode. Also the correlation factor was estimated between the D147 mode and Lug-Down 3 mode.

  • 본 논문에서는 자동차 핵심부품 중 하나인 알터네이터 수풀의 육안검사를 대체하기 위한 머신비전시스템을 개발하는 목적이 있다. 플라스틱 사출물의 경우 일반적으로 미성형, 찍힘, 뜯김, 크랙 등의 불량 유형이 발생하는 데, 이를 전수검사하기 위한 머신비전 시스템의 설계와 검사 알고리즘을 개발하고자 한다. 개발된 시스템은 산업현장에 적용하여 절대적판정의 안정성을 도모하고, 생산성 향상 및 부품의 표준화를 확립하는 데 기여할 수 있다.

A Study on the Inspection Standards and Methods of Two-Wheeled Motorcycle Headlight (이륜차 전조등 검사기준 및 검사방법에 관한 연구)

  • This paper has presented the headlight inspection standards and methods of two-wheeled motorcycles considering Korean Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (KMVSS), Korean Motor Vehicle Inspection Standards (KMVI) and the inspection standards of the International Motor Vehicle Inspection Committee (CITA). As a result of analyzing the headlight luminous intensity test result with fixed inspection equipment, 21% does not meet the inspection standard proposed in this study, and 33.3% in mobile inspection equipment does not meet. The average luminous intensity of motorcycle less than 50 cc is 8,340 cd, so all the lightweight small sized motor cycles do not meet the proposed headlight inspection standard.

  • 최근 자동차 제조업과 조선산업 등에서는 용접구조물의 정밀 용접분야에 레이저-아크 하이브리드(Laser-Arc Hybrid) 용접기술 개발이 활발히 진행되고 있다. 이는 고속용접, 고밀도, 저열입량 등의 특징을 갖는 레이저 빔 용접과 저가, 넓은 GaP 연결능력 등의 특징을 갖는 기존의 아크 용접법의 장점을 결합하여, 양산시간을 단축하고, 생산비를 절감하며, 품질을 향상시키는데 목적이 있다. 이와 더불어 레이저-아크 하이브리드 용접부에 대한 검사 평가 기술에 대한 수요가 증가하고 있으며, 특히 박판(Thin Plate) 용접부의 비파피 검사 기술이 요구되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 자동차용 차체 모듈 생산 공정에서의 레이저-아크 하이브리드 용접부에 대한 초음파 비파괴 검사를 수행하였다.
