Impact of social relationships on self-related information processing and emotional experiences (사회적 관계가 개인의 정보처리와 정서경험에 미치는 효과)

  • Do social situations have an impact on an individual's information processing and emotional experiences? Two studies were conducted to investigate relationships between self-reference effects, emotional experiences and social information processing. Study 1 examined whether biases favoring self-related stimuli could occur automatically. Participants had to judge whether sequential geometric shape-label pairs matched or mismatched. The results showed that self-related stimuli are more rapidly processed than friends/others-related stimuli. In Study 2, the participants had to recall items which were presented with different instructions (either chosen by a friend or by the computer). Here we explored whether the self-reference effect is reduced in a social learning condition. When comparing the social learning condition (seated in pairs) with the nonsocial learning condition (seated alone), the participants recalled more self-related words in the nonsocial learning condition than in the social learning condition. Importantly, the automatic self-reference effect disappeared in the social learning condition. More friends-related words were recalled in the social condition than self-related words. In addition, while tasting chocolates, the participants judged them to be more likeable in the social condition than in the nonsocial condition. These results implicated that social processing can be useful for reducing the automatic self-reference effects and shared experiences are perceived more intensely than unshared experiences.

A Study of the Relationship between Decision Making Abilities in Young Children and Self-directed Learning Abilities (유아 의사결정력과 자기주도 학습능력 간의 관계 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the relationship between decision making abilities young children and their self-directed learning abilities. A survey was carried out using 160 young children in the J region. The collected data were analyzed by Pearson correlation and multiple regression techniques using the SPSS statistics program. The conclusions are as follows : First, decision making abilities in young children exhibited a positive correlation with their self-directed learning abilities. Second, decision making abilities in young children were an influential variable in terms of their self-directed learning abilities. As a result, decision making abilities in young children were an important variable in predicting their self-directed learning abilities.

  • SAW 소자에 응용 가능한 자성박막재의 개발을 목적으로 RF 스퍼터링법으로 증착한 (Fe(sub)0.6Co(sub)0.4)(sub)89Zr(sub)11/Fe(sub)1-xCo(sub)x)Zr(sub)11(x=0, 0.6, 0.9)<원문잠조> 비정질 다층박막의 자기특성을 조사하였다. 수직자기장중열처리를 행하였을 때 상온에서 비자성 Fe(sub)89Zr(sub)11 층의 삽입에서만 다층박막화의 효과가 나타났다. 일 예로 (Fe(sub)0.6Co(sub)0.4)(sub)89Zr(sub)11(30${\AA}$)/Fe(sub)89-Zr(sub)11(40${\AA}$)<원문참조> 박막시편에 1kHz, 50 mOe의 여기자기장으로 평가된 최대 미분투자율${\mu}$(sub)d.max는 단층막의 750에서 1650으로 2배 이상 증가, 구동 바이어스자기장 Hw는 20 Oe에서 6Oe로 3배 이하로 감소하는 양호한 특성이 얻어졌다. 그러나 다른 중용 특성인 자왜는 34% 정도 감소하는 것으로 추정되었다.

  • This study sets the cut points of affective achievement scores based on the criteria referenced assessment. The modified Angoff method is applied to the standardized mathematics affect inventory which had validity and reliability. The cut points are set for 6 factors i.e. learning directivity, self control, anxiety, interest, cognizing value and confidence. As the results, among percentages of factor that middle school 2nd grade students in Korea achieved, the proportion of cognizing value is the highest. And there are no difference of the proportions as for gender, differentiated instruction, and region.

  • This study was carried out to investigate the difference of gender of academic self-efficacy, external motivation, interest and science achievement for high school students of Korea and to verify the structural relationship among these variables using PISA 2006 data. The major findings of this study are as follows. According to Multi-group analysis, Latent means analysis (LMA), where boys were used as the reference group, girls showed lower latent mean values on the academic self-efficacy, extrinsic motivation and interest. Academic self-efficacy was found to have a greater effect on achievement compared to external motivation and interest. According to structural equation modeling (SEM) analysis, academic self-efficacy and extrinsic motivation affected interest. Academic selfefficacy, external motivation, and interest affected science achievement. Lastly, interest mediated academic selfefficacy and external motivation on science achievement.

  • In accordance with the educational paradigm that values self-directed creative education, school libraries and public libraries emphasize self-directed learning support through curriculum-linked programs as their main tasks. For self-directed learning, it is essential to provide learner-centered educational knowledge information, and there should be abundant textbook-linked references that can deepen and expand the curriculum reflected in textbooks. This study established KDC-linked information related to unit and cross-curricular learning topics through the analysis of elementary school textbooks and curriculum-linked books, restructured KDC system based on major subjects in the elementary school curriculum, and established a curriculum-linked subject information. Libraries can strengthen support for self-directed creative learning for elementary school students in an online environment by linking library content targeted for each user with elementary school education content focusing on learning topics in the curriculum.

  • We propose a D-ATR UWB (Differential-Average Transmitted Reference Ultra Wide Band) system based on impulse radio. The TR-UWB systems including traditional TR (Transmitted Reference) and ATR (Average TR), exhibit a problem of reduced data rate, since reference signals are additionally transmitted. To tackle this issue, the transmitter of the proposed D-ATR system employs a differential coding like the conventional D-TR system. In addition, the receiver of the proposed system has the structure that can improve signal-to-noise ratio of the reference template used in the correlation process, by recursively averaging the received reference signals like the conventional ATR system. The simulation results in the IEEE 802.15.4a UWB multipath channel models reveal that the proposed D-ATR system achieves much better bit error rate performance as compared to the conventional D- TR system.

  • 기존의 철도차량용 무선전력전송 시스템은 Medium-voltage (MV) 60 Hz 중전압 AC 계통 전압을 Low-voltage (LV) DC로 변환하기 위해 저주파 변압기와 정류기를 사용한다. 하지만 수 MW급의 대전력을 낮은 DC 전압으로 전송하려면 인버터는 수백 A - 수 천 A 이상의 전류용량을 가져야하므로 정류기의 출력 단에 직렬 또는 병렬로 연결된 여러 개의 고주파 변압기를 필요하게 된다 (그림 1참조). 이러한 저주파 변압기, 정류기 및 고주파 변압기는 크고 무거우므로 낮은 전력밀도 및 높은 시스템 가격의 원인이 된다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 저주파변압기, 정류기, 고주파 변압기를 사용하지 않는, 여자 코일을 이용한 새로운 멀티레벨 무선전력전송 시스템의 토폴로지를 제안한다. 제안된 멀티레벨 무선전력전송 시스템은 멀티레벨 인버터의 각 출력 단에 여자코일 (excitation coil) 이 연결되어 있다. 이 여자코일들은 급전코일 (transmitter coil) 에 전기적으로는 절연되었지만 자기적으로 강하게 결합된다. 여자코일들이 발생시킨 자기장은 급전코일에 유도전압을 발생시키고, 급전코일에서 수백 A 이상의 큰 전류를 흐르게 하여 급전코일에서 강한 자기장을 발생하도록 한다. 이 자기장은 급전코일과 수 cm 이상 떨어져 자기적으로 약하게 결합된 집전코일 (receiver coil) 에 다시 유도전압을 발생시켜 전력을 전달하게 된다. 제안한 새로운 멀티레벨 무선 전력 전송 시스템은 시뮬레이션을 통해 검증했다.

Diagnostic Performance of Simulated Abbreviated MRI for Early-Stage Hepatocellular Carcinoma Screening: A Comparison to Conventional Dynamic Contrast-Enhanced MRI (초기 간암 선별 검사로서 단축 자기공명영상 검사의 진단능: 고식적 역동학적 자기공명영상검사와의 비교)

  • Purpose To compare the per-patient diagnostic performance of simulated abbreviated MRI (AMRI) to that of conventional MRI (CMRI) with full-sequence dynamic gadoxetic acid (GA) enhancement for early-stage hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) screening in high-risk patients. Materials and Methods A total of 201 consecutive patients at high-risk for HCC, who underwent 3T liver MRI, were included in this retrospective study. The AMRI protocol comprised T2-weighted imaging, hepatobiliary phase imaging after GA injection, and diffusion-weighted imaging. For each patient, two AMRI and CMRI image sets were independently reviewed by two radiologists. Inter-reader agreement was assessed using Cohen's kappa value. A composite reference standard was used to determine the diagnostic performance of each image set for each reader. Results A total of 93 HCCs were detected in 79 patients. The inter-reader agreement was almost perfect for both image sets (κ = 0.839, 0.948). In AMRI, the per-patient sensitivity and negative predictive values (NPV) were 94.9% and 96.4%, respectively. In CMRI, the per-patient sensitivity and NPV were 96.2% and 97.5%, respectively. Conclusion AMRI, using only three sequences, had a comparable diagnostic performance to CMRI in screening early-stage HCC. AMRI could be an alternative HCC screening tool for high-risk HCC patients.

The Significance of Traditional Storytelling in the sense of Performance Theory (연행론의 관점에서 본 전통 스토리텔링)

  • Storytelling is a compound of two words, 'story' and 'telling'. While the static aspect of 'story' has been emphasized, the dynamic and specific aspect of telling has been ignored. So, in the argument of 'storytelling', it is necessary to break from talking about 'story' and discuss the matter in terms of 'telling' and 'interaction'. In order to accept this need, the term 'Traditional Storytelling' is coined to engage 'oral-storytelling situation' more actively. When 'storytelling' is expressed by a storyteller, it can be referred to 'traditional storytelling', called 'oral performance'. In fact, the storytelling, which has a long history, originated from oral storytelling such as 'oral narration'. It is natural that our current storytelling isn't the same storytelling of an oral period, but the traditional storytelling casts a few crucial viewpoints to us these days when 'telling' has a significant meaning. In the first place, it is 'reflexivity' that we should note in the form of traditional 'storytelling'. It is a kind of self-reference which means reflecting and looking back at oneself in the form of narration. Through this reflexivity, the storytelling is affected by the site of telling and an aspect of one-off thing very frequently. Another point we need to note is a frame. Through this frame, the traditional storytelling come to hold time and space of narration.
