  • Polycrystalline $La_{2.1}Sr_{1.9}Mn_3O_{10}$ with layered perovskite structure have been successfully synthesized and investigated with respect to their thermoelectric, electric and magnetic properties. The large magnetoresistance (MR) effect with $-{\Delta}{\rho}/{\rho}_0$ of ∼120% at 0.85T was observed in a wide temperature range below a cusp temperature in resistivity of about 120K, which is well below the magnetic $T_C$. At high temperature, a singnificant difference between the activation energy deduced from the electrical resistivity and thermoelectric power, a characteristic of small polaron, is observed. All of the experimental data can be well explained on the basis of the small polaron model.

Preparation and Characterization of La0.8Ca0.2MnO3 (La0.8Ca0.2MnO3의 합성 및 특성연구)

  • The powders of L $a_{0.8}$C $a_{0.2}$Mn $O_3$ Colossal Magnetoresistance (CMR) materials were synthesized by sol-gel process. Lanthanum(H), Calcium(II) and Manganese(III) 2,4-Pentanedionate were dissolved in a mixed binary solution consisted of propionic acid and methanol with PEG (15 wt%) aqueous solution. The progress of reactions was monitored by FT-IR spectroscopy. The Lao scao.2Mn03 gel powders were annealed at various temperatures. The structural changes were investigated by FT-IR, CP/MAS $^{ 13}$C solid state NMR spectroscopy and XRD. The thermochemical property, particle characterization, microstructure of sintered sample, and cation composition of gel powder were studied by TG/DTA, FE-SEM and ICP-AES. The magnetic characterizations were identified through measurement of magnetic moment by VSM.

The Study on the relationship between the brain function of obese population and their level of obesity based on brainwave (뇌파기반 성인 비만인의 뇌기능과 비만도와의 상관성 연구)

  • This study was to examine the correlation between the brain function of adult suffering from obesity and the level of their obesity based on brainwave measurements. Based on the result of Body Composition Analysis (BCA) examination, population of 651 overweight pupils was chosen from June 2011 to December of 2012 in S city, I hospital. These patients were measured by timeseries linear analysis for their brain function and observed via brainwave activities. The results have been thus far; first, as their BMI (Body Mass Index) and level of obesity (body fat percentage) were higher, degree of mental stress and resistant to stress marked lower. These results prove that by managing the stress resistant ability and attention ability, self-controlling ability, one can expect a positive effect on finding a methods to ease the obese-related problems.

Characteristics of Coaxial Typed Magnetic Sensor Using Amorphous Wire (자성와이어를 이용한 동축케이블형 자계센서의 특성)

  • Co-based amorphous magnetic wire with a diameter of $125{\mu}m$ and a length of 40 mm was used as an inner conductor of a coaxial cable to construct a magnetic sensor. Sensor characteristics was measured up to 3 GHz with applied up to 60 Oe by using network analyzer. Frequency dependence of impedance for this sensor was very close to the impedance resonant pattern of transmission line and 250 MHz was obtained as a 1/4 wavelength without external magnetic field. Large impedance change was measured in the magnetic field range between 0 Oe and 1 Oe, which was influenced by permeability change of magnetic amorphous wire. Because ${\Delta}Z/{\Delta}H$ value of $300{\Omega}/Oe$ was obtained at 0.1 Oe, this coaxial cable with amorphous wire can be useful as a magnetic sensor.

  • 반도체 Hall 효과를 이용하여 자계를 검출하여 이를 전압신호로 출력하는 자기센서로는 주로 GaAs, InSb, InAs 등의 박막이 사용되고 있다. 자기센서의 응용분야가 최근에는 직류전류의 무접촉 검출, 자동차의 무접촉 회전 검출, 산업용 기계의 제어용 무접촉 위치검출 분야로 확대되고 있어 그 수요가 급증하고 있다. 이중 Hall 소자의 응용분야중 많은 활용이 기대되고 있는 자동차용 무접촉 센서는 -4$0^{\circ}C$~15$0^{\circ}C$의 온도범위에서 안정하게 작동하여야 하므로 온도 안정성이 매우 중요하다. 그러나 Hall 소자 시장의 80%를 점유하고 있는 InSb Hall 소자는 온도가 올라감에 따라 저항이 급격히 낮아지는 성질을 가지고 있으므로 10$0^{\circ}C$ 이상의 온도에서 사용하는 것이 불가능하다. 한편 InAs(에너지갭~0.18eV)는 InSb보다 에너지 갭이 크므로 고온에서도 작동이 가능하고 자계변화에 따른 출력의 직진성이 매우 좋다는 장점을 가지고 있다. 이러한 InAs Hall 소자를 실현하기 위해서 가장 중요한 것이 고품위의 InAs의 박막 성장기술이다. InAs 박막을 성장하기 위해서 사용되고 있는 기판은 GaAs이다. 그러나 GaAs 기판과 InAs 박막 사이에는 약 7% 정도의 격자부정합이 존재하기 때문에 높은 이동도를 가지는 고품위 박막을 성장시키기가 매우 어렵다. 이에 본 연구에서는 분자선에피택시 방법을 이용하여 GaAs 기판위에 고품위의 InAs 박막을 성장하는 기술을 연구하였으며, 성장된 InAs 박막의 특성을 DCX 및 Hall effect 등으로 조사하였다. InAs 박막 성장시 기판은 <0-1-1> 방향으로 2$^{\circ}$ off 된 GaAs(100)를 사용하였다. InAs 박막성장시 기판온도는 48$0^{\circ}C$로 하고 GaAs buffer 두께는 2000$\AA$로 하여 As flux 및 Si doping 농도등을 변화시켰다. 그 결과 Si doping 농도 2.21$\times$1017/am에서 10,952cm2/V.s의 이동도를 얻었다.

Self-government Frame and Discourse Effect of 'Healing' Phenomenon in Korea (초기 힐링담론의 자기통치프레임과 담론효과)

  • Based on the Foucault's governmentality, this study has described the self-government strategy that healing discourse is implemented during 2011-2013. Healing discourse's priority is the existence value of individual and full concentration about self is needed more than anything. In this process, people who need to heal and comfort are limit to de-politicized individuals. Healing discourse emphasizes that the current enhancement in order to become reflection and growth of self. Demands of reflection and growth is substitute the critics of the era and society, but also act as a specific code of conduct to individuals. While emphasizes the reflection and personal growth, healing discourse has top priority of the current value. However, in this process, criticism of the era issues and social structural factors are fundamentally excluded. People accepted healing discourse actively, decided empowering self by reflection and remorse. On the other hand, there is a crack and specificity in the dominant reception discourse likewise some subjects criticized that there is no realistic consolation, exposed the antipathy to the older generation, denied the way of problematized objectification. But this is a partial denial about healing as concrete technology, not fundamental resistance about neoliberal orders.

Spatial and Directional Sensation Prosthesis for the Blind (시각장애인을 위한 공간 및 방향감각 보조시스템)

  • In this study for the prosthesis of the spatial and directional sensation for the blind, an ultrasonic scale system and an electronic compass system were developed. The ultrasonic scale utilizes 40 ㎑ sound for the detection of distance to the barrier and the spatial information is transferred to the blind by various sound interval, which is proportional to the distance. The electronic compass utilizes a magnetoresistor bridge for the detection of the magnetic field strength of earth in horizontal plane. The information for the direction of the earth's north is transferred by tactile stimuli by a vibrating motor band around upper head. Detection distance of the ultrasonic scale is ranged from 0.065 to 3.26 meters, and the detection angle resolution of the electronic compass is about 22.5 degrees. The integrated system of the ultrasonic scale and the electronic compass was developed. Distance information is converted to the location of the tactile stimulation along the clockwise direction by a vibrating motor according to the distance installed around upper head of the blind. The intent of this article is to provide an practical prosthetic tool of spatial and directional sensation for the blind. Daily practice of this system will improve the usefulness of this system.

Diffusion and Thermal Stability Characteristics of W-B-C-N Thin Film (W-B-C-N 확산방지막의 특성 및 열적 안정성 연구)

  • In case of contacts between semiconductor and metal in semiconductor circuits, they become unstable because of thermal budget. To prevent these problems, we use diffusion barrier that has a good thermal stability between metal and semiconductor. So we consider the diffusion barrier to prevent the increase of contact resistance between the interfaces of metals and semiconductors, and the increase of resistance and the reaction between the interfaces. In this paper we deposited tungsten boron carbon nitride (W-B-C-N) thin film on silicon substrate. The impurities of the $1000\;{\AA}-thick$ W-B-C-N thin films provide stuffing effect for preventing the inter-diffusion between metal thin films $(Cu-2000\;{\AA})$ and silicon during the high temperature $(700\~1000^{\circ}C)$ annealing process.

Characteristics of Thin-Film Inductors Using EeZrBAg Magnetic Thin Films (FeZrBAg 자성막을 이용한 박막 인덕터의 임피던스 특성)

  • Double rectangular spiral thin-film inductors were fabricated using $Fe_{86.7}Zr_{3.3}B_{4}Ag_{6}$ thin film with high permeability and resistance, in which easy axis of magnetization of the thin-film was perpendicular or parallel to the current direction. The perpendicular geometry inductor revealed higher inductance than the parallel geometry one, because spin aligns of magnetic film were more easily along the field direction due to higher field intensity in the perpendicular geometry. The increase of the inductance, however, resulted in the decrease of resonance frequency. The permeability was monitored by annealing the thin-films at different temperatures. With increasing the permeability, the inductance increased, but total resistance also increased due to the increase in magnetic core loss. As the resonance frequency was higher in air-core inductor than in magnetic thin-film core inductor, it is suggested to increase the resonance frequency that the characteristic of air-core inductor rather than the magnetic properties of the thin-film should be enhanced..

  • The planar type inductors have a good potential for the application of miniaturized low power DC-DC converters. For those high quality application, the reduction of coil loss and also magnetic films which have good high frequency properties are required. Fabricated inductor was consisted of FeTaN/Ti magnetic film and electroplated Cu coil thickness of 100$\mu\textrm{m}$ and $SiO_2$ as a insulating layer. The inductor was designed double rectangular spiral shape for magnetic field highly confining within the device. The measured value of inductance and resistance were 980 nH and 1.7 $\Omega$ at 1 MHz as operating frequency of device. The Q factor is 3.55 at 1 MHz.
