  • The magnetocaloric effect and magnetization behaviors have been studied for $La_{1-x}Pb_{x}MnO_3$ (x=0.1, 0.2, 0.3) alloys. The Curie temperature increased from 195 K to 352 K with increasing Pb concentration. A large magnetic entropy change (${\Delta}S_M$), which is calculated from H vs M curves associated with the ferromagnetic-paramagnetic transitions, has been observed. The maximum ${\Delta}S_M$ of $La_{0.8}Pb_{0.2}MnO_3$ was 1.22 J/kg K at 294 K for an applied field of 1.5 T. Adiabatic temperature change (${\Delta}T_ad$) was measured directly by a special cryostat. The maximum ${\Delta}T_ad$ of $La_{0.7}Pb_{0.3}MnO_3$ was 1.00 K at 352 K for an applied field of 2 T.

  • This paper is research paper on the MPD(Magnet Position Device) for the outdoor MGV(Magnet /Magnet Gyro Guidance Vehicle). Usually, MGV is used in indoor environment because of a measurement height of the magnet position device. CMPD(Commercial magnet position device) has 30 mm measurement height, so this is suitable structure in indoor environment like to a flat surface. Outdoor environment is an uneven and irregular, So Outdoor MGV must has a suspension. But CMPD is unsuitable for outdoor environment because of a collision with a surface caused by suspension. Thus, measurement height of the outdoor MPD is positively necessary more than 100 mm. So, we suggest the outdoor MPD using analog magnet hall sensor, moving average filter and Characteristic(rate of the magnet hall sensor) function of the localization. Result of the experiments, the proposed Magnet Position Device for the outdoor MGV has localization accuracy 4.31 mm, measurement height 150 mm and width 150 mm and is efficient more than CMPD.

  • The new rocks of the oceanic crust, like basalt, are created in the mid-oceanic ridge, and the magnetic polarities of the rocks are supposed to be oriented as following the Earth's magnetic field. An extensive magnetic survey of total field at sea level reveals mainly unusual north-south magnetic stripes parallel to the axis of the mid-oceanic ridge, especially in the Atlantic Ocean. From this stripes the Earth's magnetic field is considered as repeatedly 'flipped'(the N pole becoming the S pole, and vice versa) and many times over geological time. The discovery of stripes of alternately normal and reversed-magnetized rocks forming the ocean floor has been a key evidence for the sea-floor spreading, continental drift, and plate tectonics. This study introduces a simple apparatus to explain a possible mechanism of the magnetic reversal in the new oceanic crust, which makes a magnetic stripe adjacent to the mid-oceanic ridge. The apparatus shows a bar magnet effect of adjoined stripes to have a special magnetic polarity on the rocks in the center of the mid-oceanic ridge. The new magnetic stripe seems to be generated not only by Earth's magnetic field, but also by neighbored stripes in the mid-oceanic ridge, acting as a bar magnet.

  • The current study examined the effects of the type and context of self-talk on task performance, task-post emotion, and perceived stress. Participants were 100 undergraduates in Busan. Participants were randomly assigned to one of four the experimental groups that were set by combining the narrative condition (the first-person versus non-first-person) to the content condition (self-reinforcing versus self-critic) to measure their pre and post intervention responses. For the analysis, we performed two-ways analysis of variance using the difference value of dependent variables comparing the pre and post-intervention. As a result of the analysis, we found that content condition of self-talk significantly influenced task performance, task-related confidence, emotion response, and perceived stress. That is, the self-reinforcement self-talk group showed better performance, higher task-related confidence, more positive emotion, lower negative emotion and less perceived stress than the self-critic self-talk group. The contents conditions of self-talk interacted with the narrative condition of self-talk to predict perceived stress, indicating that only non-first person/self-reinforceing self-talk group showed reduced levels of perceived stress.

  • This study was a descriptive research study targeting medical students to determine the impact of self-directed learning ability, self-regulated learning, and communication ability on self-efficacy in performing medical treatment. This study randomly selected medical students from Region J, located in Province G, as the approximate population, and a total of 125 copies were finally analyzed. Descriptive statistics were analyzed using t-test, ANOVA, correlation, and multiple regression analysis using IBM SPSS/25. Self-efficacy in performing medical treatment was related to self-directed learning ability (r=.61, p<.001), self-regulated learning (r=.50, p<.001), and communication ability (r=.33, p<.001). There was a positive correlation with all of them. As a result of analyzing the variables that affect the subject's self-efficacy in performing medical treatment using hierarchical multiple regression, self-directed learning ability was found to be the factor that best predicts self-efficacy in performing medical treatment, followed by self-regulated learning and communication ability. The total explanatory power was 46.6%. Acquiring specialized knowledge and becoming a doctor after graduation through clinical practice and acquiring the basic clinical practice skills necessary to successfully perform one's duties are important tasks that medical students must accomplish. Therefore, in order to improve medical students' self-efficacy in performing medical treatment, the importance of improving health care, major satisfaction, and life satisfaction must be recognized and managed. In addition, efforts to develop programs and improve systematic systems that can improve self-directed learning, self-regulated learning, and communication skills should also be supported.
