Fostering Primary Pre-service Teachers' Computational Thinking through Self-Assessment (초등예비교사를 위한 컴퓨팅 사고력 자기평가 방법)

  • It is urgent in the context of the Fourth Industrial Revolution that students become creative and integrative thinkers. In this vein, in the last few years, drawing upon constructivism as an innovative learning paradigm, new coding curricula using MIT's Scratch have been introduced in the number of countries to enhance computational thinking (CT). However, constructivism encouraging collaborative and active learning may not be explicitly utilized in instructional design focusing mainly on learning to code as technical skills - some of which exist today in large numbers of school and after-school code activities. To respond to such a misleading way of developing CT through coding, the present study aims to propose the benefits of CT self-assessment rubrics for primary pre-service teachers within a CT course entitled "Problem Solving by Computational Thinking". Our findings show how meaningful collaborative CT self-assessment in a group impacts their learning of CT. We end this paper with the discussion of implications of our findings for CT assessment towards a new paradigm in education.

A Study of Activity Participation Level and Functional Disability for The Elderly Aged Over 65 years (65세 이상 노인의 참여활동수준과 기능장애에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate activity participation level and functional disability based on ICF for the elderly aged over 65 years. Subjects were 100 senior citizens. We performed data collection using Korean Activity Card Sorting(KACS) and World Health Organization Disability Assessment Schedule 2.0(WHODAS 2.0). Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, Pearson's correlation, multiple regression. As a result of the survey of activity participation levels, retained level of activity participation of instrumental activity was highest at 75.06%. Among the WHODAS 2.0 sub-domain, 'getting along with people', 'participation in society' had the most difficulties and 'self-care', 'life activities' were the lowest. An analysis of the correlation between the activity retention rate and functional disability showed that there was a significant negative correlation. Significant factors influencing functional disability were activity participation level of social activity, instrumental activity and main work(retirement). We confirmed that activity participation level was important factor on functional disability. Further, we need standardization study for generalization.

  • This study explored the link between reproductive health knowledge, attitudes, and self-efficacy in young women from Uganda's Luwero district. A survey was conducted on 82 women in the Luwero region from May to July 2016, and the predictive power of knowledge and attitudes toward self-efficacy was evaluated through multiple linear regression analysis. Results showed positive correlations among these factors, with knowledge and attitude predicting self-efficacy. Specifically, understanding healthy puberty habits and valuing women's roles positively influenced self-efficacy for healthy behaviors. These findings emphasize the need to target these aspects in reproductive health education programs, crucial for addressing adolescent pregnancy and related issues in Uganda's rural areas.

  • The fingers are among the most commonly injured structures in traumatic injuries resulting from sports and work. Finger injuries encompass a broad spectrum of injuries to bone and soft tissues, including tendons, ligaments, and cartilage. The high resolution of 3T MRI with dedicated surface coils allows for optimal assessment of the intricate soft tissue structures of the fingers. There have been several reports on detailed MRI features of the basic anatomy and common pathological findings of the finger and hand. Understanding the normal anatomy and familiarization with common traumatic lesions of the ligaments, tendons, and pulleys of the fingers on high-resolution MRI will allow radiologists to perform accurate preoperative evaluations of traumatic hand lesions. The purpose of this study is to review the normal hand anatomy and common traumatic lesions of the finger on high-resolution MRI and correlate them with surgical findings.

우리나라 네트워크 마케팅에 대한 기독교적 평가와 참여

  • 우리 사회는 정보화와 다원화로 빠르게 변화하고 있다. 경제현상도 변화하고 마케팅의 기법도 다기해지고 있다. 네트워크마케팅(NWM)이란 다단계마케팅(MLM)과 통용되는 개념으로 직접마케팅(Direct Marketing) 기법 중의 하나로 비교적 새로운 유통방법이다. 피라미드와 혼동되어 한 때 비판의 대상이었던 네트워크 마케팅이 실정법에 근거한 새로운 경제활동의 하나로 국민경제에 기능하게 되었다. 올바른 네트워크 마케팅과 실정법에 대한 이해가 필요하며 경제활동의 하나인 이 분야에도 하나님의 주권과 방법이 실현될 필요가 있다. 이 사업에 참여한 성도들은 주님의 피로 사신 교회의 목적에 충실한 행동과 성숙한 신앙인의 자세와 태도로 임할 필요가 있다. 무엇보다도 자신의 재정적 능력범위에서 사업에 참여하는 것이 바람직하다. 일확천금이나 일시에 거금을 번다는 사실과 다른 선전에 현혹되지 말고 자기 자금이나 적정수준의 자본금으로 사업에 참여하는 것이 요구된다. 현행 방문판매법은 교사나 공무원 등의 우월적 지위를 이용하여 상대방에게 다단계 판매를 강요하는 것을 금지하고 있다. 교회에서도 교회 본래의 목적인 복음 전파와 예배 등의 활동과 상치되거나 방해해서는 곤란할 것이다. 자기의 구원과 삶이 바로 서고 이웃을 돌아보아 사랑을 실천하며 복음을 전파하고, 살아서 하나님의 나라를 이 땅에 구현하고 죽어 천국에서 주님과 함께하는 성숙한 신앙생활에 근거해야 할 것이다. 교회도 네트워크마케팅에 대한 바른 이해가 필요하며, 관련 교리에 대한 정확한 이해와 적용이 요구된다고 할 수 있다. 네트워크마케팅에 대한 실정법이 제정되어 있고 현실에 맞게 수차례 개정되어 오고 있으므로 이에 대한 바른 이해가 요청된다. 또한 과학의 발전에 중세의 교회가 이해를 새롭게 한 것처럼, 경제 현상의 변화에 대해서도 통전적인 이해가 요구된다. 이 세상은 근본적으로 하나님이 창조한 세상이기 때문에 이 세상 자체를 악하다고 볼 수 없고 더구나 구원을 이 세상에서의 이탈로 볼 수 없다. 진정한 구원이란 원래 하나님이 보시기에 아름다웠던 그 세상으로의 회복을 포함한다. 이런 면에서 하나님 주권 신앙 하에서 구원이란 전 인격적인 구원, 전 우주적인 구원이 된다. 그렇기 때문에 성도는 세상의 삶과 학문, 예술, 정치, 경제, 사회를 포함한 모든 분야를 하나님의 뜻 가운데서 그 원래의 목적에 부합할 수 있도록 회복시키는 일에 적극 참여해야 한다.

  • 유역 특히 상습침수지구의 통합관리는 유역이라는 한정된 범위 내에서 물에 영향을 미치거나 물에 의하여 영향을 받는 모든 인간 활동과 자연현상을 통합적으로 고려하는 것이다. 이러한 관점에서 유역관리는 유역 차원에서 물을 경제적이고 공평하게 관리하고 분배하여 수자원에 대한 장기적이고 지속가능한 해결방안을 마련하는 것이다. 여기에는 정부, 시민사회 및 기업 행위자가 사회경제적 개발목표와 정책형성, 집행계획을 수립하는 것으로부터 시작된다. 유역관리를 위한 의사결정들은 행위자들과의 영향으로 수정되며, 이런 과정에서 토지와 수자원에서 분쟁이 발생하며, 수자원 관리자는 자연현상, 물 사용, 재정적, 인적자원 및 외부적인 요인으로 인해 목적을 달성하는데 부합하지 않을 수도 있다. 효과적인 유역관리를 위해서는 제약조건하에서 수자원 관리자가 의사결정에 정보를 주고 주요 행위자들과 협력을 통해서 이루어 질 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 유역관리를 위한 의사결정을 행위자기반모형(Agent based Model, ABM)으로 이해하고자 하며, ABM은 유역관리의 이해당사자간의 정책과정을 도출하고 다양한 유역관리 대안을 평가하고 유역관리의 영향을 설명하는 모델이다. 본 모형은 관측자료를 통해 상향식 접근법으로 가능한 많은 세부사항을 모의할 수 있다. 분석과정은 자료의 수집, 모델 확립, 모델의 개발, 통계자료 수집 및 모델의 결과와 실제 시스템의 보충된 관측자료를 비교하는 검증 순으로 진행되며, 본 모델에서의 행위자는 과거의 행동으로부터 주위 환경의 반응하는 패턴을 확인하고 개발하며, 이러한 패턴은 정책들을 구별하기 위해서 이용되며, 이러한 과정에서 강화학습이 이루어진다. 이를 통해 행위자의 익숙한 방식의 합리적인 행동과 정책들의 상관관계를 평가할 수 있으며, 강화학습을 통해 실제적인 통계적인 모델이 가능하다.

  • 취업열기가 뜨거워지고 있는 가운데 취업시장의 문턱에 들어서는 학생들은 본인의 이력관리를 위해 수많은 노력을 하고 있다. 이 시스템은 교내의 모든 학생들이 미래 직업을 준비할 수 있도록 하고 학교생활을 하는 과정에서 자기성찰의 기회를 제공하여 자기 계발 방향을 찾도록 하는 것이 주된 목적이다. 따라서 본 시스템은 취업시장의 문화를 혁신하고자 하는데 목적이 있다. 본 개발 시스템은 학생의 대내외적인 활동에 활용되는 모든 자료를 체계적으로 정리 및 관리할 수 있는 시스템으로 대학에서 취업을 목적으로 진행하는 프로젝트 관련수업의 결과물과 포트폴리오 관리에 목표를 두고 주로 학생의 취업연계 기능에 초점을 맞추어 개발되었다. 학생들은 학생간의 포트폴리오 정보를 공유하고 해당 시스템의 평가모듈을 통해 교수의 조언과 평가를 받아 보다나은 결과물을 창출 할 수 있다. 이렇게 학생, 교수, 기업이 서로 의사교류를 통해 원만한 관계를 유지할 수 있으며 학생과 기업 간의 win-win 효과를 얻을 수 있다.

A Study on the Practice of Performance Assessment in the Elementary School Mathematics - Focussing on Self-assessment and Peer-observation - (초등학교 수학과 수행평가 실천에 관한 연구 - 자기평가.동료평가.관찰평가를 중심으로 -)

  • This study is to recognize a problem in the practice of performance assessment in elementary school, and to find out some suggestive points for improvement of teaching·learning method in elementary mathematics through assessment by reducing time restriction according to assessment through the practice of self-assessment, peer-assessment and observation, and then by reflecting the results of assessment on teaching learning plan. For that, the questions of study set up are as follows ; 1. How should self-assessment and peer-assessment be applied to in elementary mathematics assessment? 2. How should the time for 'let's play an interesting game' be managed for assessment of elementary mathematics? 3. How should the results of assessment be reflected on the Process of teaching and learning of mathematics? To solve these problems, a researcher of this thesis performed self-assessment, peer-assessment on 40 students of second grade under her charge as a class teacher, and applied observation in the time management process for 'let's play an interesting game' for a semester. self-assessment was made by mathematics journal, self-assessment chart, peer-assessment was by the analysis of conversation record among students in the situations of assessment, and observation was by observation of activity when playing with the results data of play analyzed. the concrete methods of application as follows ; First, mathematics journal was applied $1{\sim}2$ times by each unit with reconstruction into the level of second grade on the basis of the preceding-study models. Second, peer-assessment was applied to the unit-assessment time and the play-activities time by the method of recording·analyzing the contents of conversation among students in the process of assessment. Third, mathematical attitude & dispositions of students making use of the self- assessment table were examined referring to the teaching learning plan. Fourth, the time management for 'let's play an interesting game' was made through the prior recognition of play method and the joyful play-activities by use of the play-plate. Assessment depended on analysis of play-activities results of students making use of an observation form. Fifth, the results of self-assessment, peer-assessment, and observation were analyzed, and then they were made use of as self-observation data, of teacher her/his self, or teaching·learning improvement data. Students' self-assessment datum (mathematics diary, self-assessment sheets, conversation contents in the process of assessment) and observation materials (check lists, Play-activity result materials, conversation contents in the process of play) obtained in the process of application was analyzed as follows ; 1. From the practice of self-assessment in form of mathematics journal, I could obtain not only datum showing how much students was understanding the learning aims by unit time and to any degree they reached but also information about their response to learning datum and favorable type of learning. 2. Assessment by self-assessment chart was useful in planning the mathematics teaching learning process because it helps ascertain mathematical attitude & dispositions of students. 3. Through the application of peer-assessment, students had the opportunity of communicating with other students looking back on his/her explaining process, and teachers could obtain basic materials for assessment of students. 4, In case of time management for 'let's play an interesting game', there was natural extension of play made through time-security by prior looking into the method of play-activity, and then, for a remained time, by making children play a new game. 5, I could easily record the activities of students by use of the observation. form, and make use of it as basic data for descriptive assessment. 6, Each kinds of data obtained from the results of assessment was helpful for securing self-observation materials in the process of teaching learning and for their betterment in mathematics subject. However, because they were in the second grade of elementary school and there was an individual difference, some students could not make use of mathematics diary or self-assessment form properly. In case of these students, assessment data would be obtained through interview or observation. And for effective operation of play, its purpose & method and matters that demand special attention when play-acting should be clearly guided. Also, when applying an effective play in addition to play activities in textbook, to lessons, interesting mathematics lessons could be guided.

The Development of the Items on Mathematical Instructional Evaluation based on the Teacher's Practical Knowledge (교사의 실천적 지식을 반영한 수학 수업평가 기준 탐색)

  • This study is to establish the items on instructional evaluation based on the teacher's practical knowledge in mathematics educations. Namely, this study deals with the items on how pre-service or in-service teachers reflect and revise their own or peer's class. To accomplish this, first of all the items on instructional evaluation was developed by researchers of this study on the basis of the results of two previous study. One is the literature of Elbaz(1981) and the other is the literature of Hwang(2013). Elbaz(1981) defined the definition of practical knowledge and five sub-domains of the practical knowledge. On the other hand, Hwang(2013) defined the teacher knowledge in mathematics education and four sub-domains of the teacher knowledge. According to these four domains, Hwang(2013) developed the items on the instructional evaluation in mathematics class. From now on, based on these two study, this study was to develop the items on the instructional evaluation involving the practical knowledge. Futhermore, the final and ideal items on the instruction would be established through the reflection and comments of professionals such as mathematics teachers, professors, and researchers.

A Qualitative Study on Utilizing Peer Mentoring for Teachers' Self-efficacy Improvement and Peer Metoring Perception of Pre-Service Music Teachers (동료멘토링을 활용한 중등 예비음악교사들의 교사로서의 자기효능감 향상과 동료멘토링 인식에 대한 질적연구)

  • The purpose of this study is improving the teachers' self-efficacy for pre-secondary music teachers. The research questions for this study were the improvement for teachers' self-efficacy for pre-secondary music teachers and the pre-secondary music teachers' perception about peer mentoring. In this study performed the interview and analyzed the in self-reflection journal in order to identify the improvement effect of teachers' self-efficacy and the participants' perception change in the peer mentoring. As the results from analyzing the change in participant's perception about peer mentoring the mentors had the opportunity to review previous learning contents and practice experiences while developing their team activity and for the mentees. Mentees said that they were given various help from the mentors' advices and their interactions and communication with mentors. From these results, it could identify that there was positive change in participant's perception about the peer mentoring. Based on these results, this study analyzed that it would need to require some chances for pre-secondary music teachers to be given some educational practice and field experience utilizing various teaching methods in order to improve their self-efficacy and the perception of peer mentoring.
