  • In this paper, we explore how the concepts of fatigue society and self exploitation are related with the gifted and gifted education. Gifted students' burnout are the result of an excess of positivity. The violence of positivity stems from over-producing, over-achieving or over-communicating. Especially, this paper tries to warn gifted students' maladaptive perfectionism, high expectations of themselves and their surroundings, high task commitment, and excessive self criticism could make the gifted the high risk group who burnout themselves in this fatigue society. In addition, it is discussed how the gifted students' suicides are closely related to the issues of fatigue society and self exploitation structurally. Most importantly, we examine that why and how the concept of fatigue society results in ultimate decline of creativity. Finally, we discuss some ways to overcome this over-achieving fatigue society and their implications in the aspects of gifted students' creative lives and products.

  • This study examined the mediation effects of covert narcissism on the relationship between game addiction and aggression. For this study, 578 middle school boys in Chungcheong areas were included in the analysis. The results are as follows. First, correlation analyses showed that game addiction was positively correlated with covert narcissism and aggression. In addition, covert narcissism showed positive correlation with aggression. Second, step-wise regression analyses were conducted to examine the relative size that sub-factors of game addiction and covert narcissism explained aggression. It could be known that three factors of game addiction(tolerance, disregard of everyday life, damage of control) and two factors of covert narcissism(exploitation/self-centeredness, oversensitivity/vulnerability) showed significant explanatory power for aggression. Third, the Structural Equation Model was designed in which factors of game addiction and covert narcissism with significant explanatory power for aggression were included. Covert narcissism was found to partially mediate the influence of the boys' game addiction on aggression. Finally implications of this study and directions for future research were discussed.

  • This study aims to explore the relative influences of covert narcissism and evaluative concerns perfectionism on SNS addiction tendency, and the mediating effect of evaluative concerns perfectionism in the influence of covert narcissism on SNS addiction tendency of undergraduates. The results of this study can be summarized in the following. First, control failure and disturbance of adaptive, avoidance of negative emotion, and virtual life orientation and withdrawal were best accounted for by exploitation/self-centeredness. On the other hand, absorption and tolerance was best accounted for by hypersensitivity/vulnerability in undergraduates. Also, SNS addiction tendency was accounted for by only socially prescribed perfectionism of evaluative concerns perfectionism. Second, evaluative concerns perfectionism partially mediated the relations between covert narcissism and absorption and tolerance and between covert narcissism and virtual life orientation and withdrawal, while it didn't mediate the relations between covert narcissism and control failure and disturbance of adaptive and between covert narcissism and avoidance of negative emotion.

  • This study examines the effect of the wedge between voting rights and cash flow rights of controlling shareholders on the implied cost of equity. Prior studies posit that controlling shareholder's voting rights exceeding cash flow rights causes expropriating minority shareholders. Using date from 793 group-affiliated Korean firms for 10 years from 2005 to 2016, the result shows that there is a positive and significant relationship between controlling shareholders' wedge and implied cost of equity. This result implies that investors regard the controlling shareholders' wedge as potential agency cost in which they require additional risk premium because controlling shareholders have a strong incentive to pursue their private interests trough tunneling practices.

  • This study suggests that lifelong education is regarded as a support system for lifelong learning, which includes all activities of educational characteristics, which ultimately has the goal of universalization of self - education. The goal is to successfully adapt to life. Statements supporting the need for lifelong learning have been found to be based primarily on the impossibility of this system to provide sufficient education to accelerate social change and to last a lifetime. The obstacles to implementation included inertia, resistance to change, motivation and cost. Opponents are likely to regard lifelong education as an attempt to expand compulsory education for exploitation and control purposes. This study found that there is an important consensus among supporters, but many questions remain. The full feasibility of lifelong education is considered to be far removed, and lifelong education should be interpreted as a source of direction and purpose, and ideals that society should aim for.

  • This paper analyzes the actual 'content' and 'role' of the intrinsic motivation of creative laborers during the creative production process. Based on semi-structured intensive interviews with 16 light-entertainment television PDs in South Korea, this paper articulated that intrinsic motivation towards creative work could be understood as a desire to maintain their level of enjoyment from creative work. The desire was classified into two different types of 'enjoyment', one was the enjoyment based on the expectation regarding the creative job, and the 'enjoyment' experienced primarily related to the creative production process that allows creative workers to actualize individual creative ambitions. In addition, such intrinsic motivation tended to provide a strong driving force for creative workers as they endured unfavorable working conditions that resulted from market principles(viewership ratings), economic stability, and work-life balance. This paper proposes that the tendency of creative workers to endure various undesirable working conditions is based on a strong intrinsic motivation to maintain their level of enjoyment from their creative career.

  • This study was conducted to pursue Christian education with the socially underprivileged in the era of the Corona-19 pandemic. Corona-19 is a disaster which is caused, destroyed and exploited by human being. At the time of the indiscriminately spreading global pendemic, we must work together to overcome our selfish self-centeredness and make an attempt for everyone in need. It is a study on how humans can help each other survive in the era of Corona-19 and its post-corona. The problem is that there is too much discrimination between the state, race, and economic capacity, and in the end, the extreme discrimination of capitalism is appeared in society and across the country. There is no significant difference in the confirmation rate when Corona-19 infiltrates, but there is a big difference between those with and less in mortality. As a result, today's reality is that people who have a hard time living because they have less usually are far more vulnerable to blocking and defeating virus attacks. Unfortunately, this is the current situation. From the standpoint of a large discourse, attention is paid to climate change and ecological environment, and as a micro discourse, a number of societies who live with tremendous discrimination according to the gap between the rich and the poor (it is gender, race, disabled, nationality) that exist in almost all countries on the planet. We need attention to the weak. To this end, discourses on vaccine inequality, discourses on the needs of the disabled, discourses on different racial damages, discourses on polarization and dystopia, and discourses on educational inequality were treated as the reality faced by the socially underprivileged in the Corona 19 pandemic. To explore Christian education with the socially underprivileged, to explore ways of sharing, giving, and solidarity for win-win, discourse on inter-dependence and mutual responsibility of mankind, direct counter-measures for the socially underprivileged, and critical literacy education. He proposed a discourse on Korea, a discourse on Homo sapiens, which must return to being a part of creation, and finally a theology of friendship with the weak. Christian education based on Bible words must go forward in the era of the Corona 19 pandemic, hungry, naked, nowhere to go, sick, but dying because of being unable to get a remedy. He emphasized the need to establish a caring theology of friendship and pursue a life in which thought and practice harmonize. Thus, the paper proposed the spirit of Christian education not only doing something for the socially weak, but with the socially weak in the daily life.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the characteristics of Confucianism, Buddhism, and Taoism and to examine the characteristics of Intermixture of Three Religions in Journey to the West. This novel, which has the structure of satire, hope, and surrogate satisfaction while being the center of satire and humor, is a refuge for the people. Even today, it can be said, however, that for the people, Confucianism, Buddhism, and Taoism was not a distinctly separate system of religions. Journey to the West story is about the liberation of Buddhism that is obtained through Taoism training. In the celestial world, not all gods are perfect, and often make mistakes. In such a story, the mistakes of beings living as human beings are simply insignificant. What is not different from the structure of life in this world is still a world of nature. The world is rife with absurdities, both on earth and in heaven. The characteristics of Intermixture of Three Religions can be summarized in several ways. First, the Trip of Samjang is not just to gain the enlightenment of illegal but rather to seek a greater sense of meaning. Second, the means to gain enlightenment is that it does not claim that one is right or good. Third, mercy, goodwill, and respect for life for oppressed and exploited peoples are common to all religions. Fourth, this story suggests that everything from the beginning is already a matter of mind. Fifth, all of the logic of Three Religions in this novel can be said to be "preliminary." Human life implies that it is going on a planned path, perhaps as a fate. But the important thing is, as in all religions, even if the road is a planned one, Journey to the West is strongly and persuasively speaking that it is the way of life as well as the attitude of living silently in carrying out its duties.
