Study on the Levitation Stability of Maglev Vehicle considering the Vibration of Steel Switch Track (강재 분기기의 진동을 고려한 자기부상열차 부상안정성 연구)

  • Generally, in the train area, switch tracks have required high reliability because this system is directly associated with derailment. Especially, switch tracks of Maglev vehicles must be moved in terms of the whole geometric characteristics, in which the bogies are encased in the switch track. For this reason, switch track was constructed with steel lighter than concrete girders. But, the steel switch track was weak because of structural vibration as well as structural deformation. Therefore, it is important to predict the levitation stability when a vehicle passes over flexible switch track. The aims of this paper are to develop a coupled dynamic model to describe the relationship between a Maglev vehicle and switch track and to predict the levitation stability. In order to develop the coupled dynamic model, a three dimensional vehicle model was developed based on multibody dynamics; a switch model was made using the modal superposition method. And, the developed model was verified using comparison measured data.

Self-assembly of Retinoic Acid-conjugated Poly(Amino Acid)'s Derivative (레티노익산이 접목된 폴리아미노산 유도체의 자기조립 현상)

  • In this study, a poly (amino acid)s derivative grafted with retinoic acids, which could form self-assemblies in an aqueous solution, was successfully synthesized. The synthesized amphiphilic poly (amino acid)s were controlled with 5, 10, 30 mol% substitution of retinoic acid. Then, the amphiphilic poly (amino acid)s were self-assembled by inter/intra molecular stacking of retinoic acids in an aqueous solution. Also, the increasing the degree of substitution (DS) of retinoic acids decreased the size of self-assembled nanoparticles and induced structural transition to bilayer structure from spherical structure. The retinol was stably encapsulated into a core of self-assembled nanoparticle with 10 mol% of DS. This strategy to prepare the self-assemblies of amphiphilic polyaspartamide will serve to improve the efficiency of targeted delivery for a functional cosmetic with various biological modalities.

Relationship between Graft Appearance on Follow-up MRI and Knee Stability after Double Bundle ACL Reconstruction (이중 다발 전방십자 재건술 후 이식건의 자기공명영상 추시와 슬관절 안정성과의 관계)

  • Purpose: This study examined the relationship between graft appearance on follow-up magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and knee stability after double bundle anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction. Materials and Methods: For each patient, 1.5 tesla MRI's were obtained. The signal intensity of grafts was divided into 3 grades by Sononda's classification. The course of grafts was divided into two patterns: straight and curved. We assessed Lachman test, KT 2000 arthrometer and anterior drawer stress radiograph using Telos$^{(R)}$ in $30^{\circ}$ knee flexion for anterior stability and evaluated pivot shift test for rotatory stability. The correlation between graft appearance on MRI and the results of knee stability tests was evaluated. Results: The anteromedial (AM) graft was evaluated as being grade 1 in 66.7%, grade 2 in 26.7%, and grade 3 in 6.7% of the cases and the posterolateal (PL) graft was assessed as being grade 1 in 63.3%, grade 2 in 33.3%, and grade 3 in 3.3% of the cases according to the signal intensity. The AM graft was evaluated as being straight in 83.3% and curved in 16.7% of the cases, and the PL graft was assessed as being straight in 86.7% and curved in 13.3% of the cases according to the course. The course of AM graft was correlated with the results of anterior stability tests and the course of PL graft was correlated with the result of rotatory stability test. However, the signal intensity of grafts was not correlated with the results of anterior stability and rotatory stability tests. Conclusion: The course of AM is correlated with anterior stability and the course of PL is correlated with rotatory stability on follow-up MRI after double bundle ACL reconstruction.

Multi-objective Genetic Algorism Model for Determining an Optimal Capital Structure of Privately-Financed Infrastructure Projects (민간투자사업의 최적 자본구조 결정을 위한 다목적 유전자 알고리즘 모델에 관한 연구)

  • Private financing is playing an increasing role in public infrastructure construction projects worldwide. However, private investors/operators are exposed to the financial risk of low profitability due to the inaccurate estimation of facility demand, operation income, maintenance costs, etc. From the operator's perspective, a sound and thorough financial feasibility study is required to establish the appropriate capital structure of a project. Operators tend to reduce the equity amount to minimize the level of risk exposure, while creditors persist to raise it, in an attempt to secure a sufficient level of financial involvement from the operators. Therefore, it is important for creditors and operators to reach an agreement for a balanced capital structure that synthetically considers both profitability and repayment capacity. This paper presents an optimal capital structure model for successful private infrastructure investment. This model finds the optimized point where the profitability is balanced with the repayment capacity, with the use of the concept of utility function and multi-objective GA (Generic Algorithm)-based optimization. A case study is presented to show the validity of the model and its verification. The research conclusions provide a proper capital structure for privately-financed infrastructure projects through a proposed multi-objective model.

  • Reliability should be assured to support the stable ubiquitous sensor network services in wireless sensor networks. Data transmission reliability is the most important one in the reliability factors in USN. When we consider the wireless communication environment of sensor networks, data transmission reliability requires the performance improvement. For this, this paper introduces the method that can handle the reliability and the performance together. The proposed scheme uses the self relay signal between sensor nodes to deliver the ACK and the next data is scheduled to be sent on acceptance of this self relay signal. For the evaluation of the performance improvement, the analysis and the simulation have been done.

  • 희토류 영구자석, $Nd_2Fe_{14}B$ 화합물에 대한 자체충족적 국재밀도함수근사 전자 구조 계산을 수행하여 이 물질의 전자기적 물성을 연구하였다. LMTO(Linearized Muffin-Tin Orbital)에너지 띠 방법을 사용하여 상자성, 강자성상에서 구한 $Nd_2Fe_{14}B$ 화합물의 에너지 띠구조를 토대로 하여 자성을 포함한 제반 물성, 즉 희토류금속과 천이금속의 결합(bonding)효과, 전기적, 자기적 구조등을 고찰하였다. Boron 원자의 역학은 근접 Fe 원자와의 혼합 상호작용을 통하여 Fe의 원자의 자기모멘트를 많이 줄이는 효과를 주며 또한 구조 안정성에 기여한다는 결과를 얻었다. 강자성상에서의 Fe 원자들의 평균 자기모멘트는 약 2.15 ${\mu}B$로 계산되었는데 이중 Boron 원자로 부터 가장 멀리 떨어져 있으며 12개의 Fe 원자들로 둘러싸인 Fe(j2-site)원자가 가장 큰 값(2.7 ${\mu}B$)의 자기모멘트를 갖고 Boron 원자와의 혼합 상호작용이 가장 큰 Fe(e-site)원자가 가장 작은 값(1.9 ${\mu}B$)의 자기모멘트를 갖는다.

Effect of Low Temperature Annealing on the Magnetoresistance in Co/Cu Artificial Superlattice (Co/Cu인공초격자에서 저온 열처리가 자기저항에 미치는 영향)

  • Thermal stability of Co/Cu artificial superlattice (AS) prepared by RF-magnetron sputtering and the effect of low temperature annealing on the magnetoresistance of the AS have been investigated in this work. Dependence of annealing behavior on the Cu spacer thickness, Fe underlayer thickness, and kind of the underlayer was examined and the relationship between the interfacial reaction and magnetoresistance was studied. It turned out that when Co/Cu AS was annealed at low temperature ($<450^{\circ}C$), the magnetoresistance could increase in the case of AS with thick spacer Cu ($20~25\AA$) layer, whereas it decreased in the case of AS with thin spacer Cu ($7\AA$) layer, which of the former is in contrast with previous reports and the latter in consistent with them. The increase of magnetoresistance is due to increase of interfacial atomic sharpness, which is supported by low angle X-ray diffraction analysis. The thermal stability of Co/Cu AS was better in the case of thick Fe underlayered AS. Interfacial reaction (separation of intermixed Co and Cu) could be observed at lower temperature for (200)-textured samples than for (111)-textured samples, which can be interpreted in terms of interdiffusion kinetics depending on the crystallographic orientation.

Application of Genetic Threshold Auto-regressive Model to Forecast Flood for Tidal River (감조하천의 홍수위 예측에 있어서 한계자기회귀모형의 응용)

  • 한계자기회귀모형(TAR)을 응용하여 동시에 해조와 홍수의 영향을 받을 때 삽교천 감조구간의 삽교호수위관측소의 월 최고수위를 예측하는 모형을 구축하였으며, 모형구축과정에서 유전알고리즘으로 한계값과 자기회귀계수의 매개변수를 최적화한다. 계산결과 한계자기회귀모형은 감조하천의 비선형성특성을 모의 할 수 있으며, 예측의 정확도와 예측성능의 안정성을 확보할 수 있다. 연구결과 유전한계자귀회귀모형으로 감조하천구간의 월 최고수위를 예측하는 것이 가능하며, 또한 감조하천구간에서 기타 수문요소의 비선형성 서열예측 중에서도 광범한 실용가치가 있다고 본다.
