  • Polysaccharides extracted from mushroom have been most commonly used to enhance the immune system. Also polysaccharides maintaining the moisture extent on epidermal tissue have an effect on the removal of necrotic tissue and the restoration of epidermal tissue through enhancing the immune system at skin layers. In this work, polysaccharides were from Schizophyllum commune studied about the burn and wound healing activity in the epidermal tissue on rats through in vivo experiment and hematological values. And antibacterial activities were examined using pathogenic microorganisms causing the secondary inflammation.

  • The object of this study is to prepare microcapsules containing a diisocyanate compound, apply them to self-healing protective coating, and evaluate the self-healing capability of the coating by atmospheric moisture. Isophorone diisocyanate (IPDI) polymerized under humid atmosphere, indicating that IPDI can be used as a healing agent. Microencapsulations of IPDI were conducted via interfacial polymerization of a polyurethane prepolymer with diol compounds. The formation of microcapsules was confirmed by Fourier-transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy and nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy. The mean diameter, size distribution, morphology and shell wall thickness of microcapsules were investigated by optical microscopy and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The properties of microcapsules were studied by varying agitation rates and diol structure. The self-healing coatings were prepared on test pieces of CRC board. When scratch was generated in the coatings, the core material flew out of the microcapsules and filled the scratch. The self-healing coatings were damaged and healed under atmosphere with 68~89% relative humidity for 48 h, and SEM and impermeability test for the specimens showed that the scratch could be healed by atmospheric moisture.

  • This study analyzed the effect of forest therapy program on reduction of stress of teachers and their positive and negative emotions based on the survey of 221 teachers who participated in the overnight Happiness School Edu-healing Camp held for teachers by the National Center for Forest Healing. For data analysis, a paired sample t-test was conducted using the SPSS 24.0 program to examine the difference in the stress reaction index of teachers and their positive and negative emotions before and after their participation in the forest therapy program. The results indicated that teachers who participated in the program showed a significant decrease in the stress response index and the values of sub-domain such as physical symptoms, depression symptoms, and anger symptoms. Moreover, all teachers exhibited a significant decrease in stress. This result verifies that the forest therapy program is effective in reducing the stress of teachers and their negative emotions. These results are expected to be used to promote more active forest therapy programs for teachers exposed to a high level of stress.

  • For efficient predictive analysis, self-healing research is needed that enables the system to recover autonomously by self-cognition and diagnosing system problems. However, software development does not provide formal contextual information analysis and appropriate presentation structure according to external situation. In this paper, we propose a prediction analysis method based on the change contents by applying the extraction rule to the functions that can act, data, and transaction based on the new Goal-scenario. We also evaluated how well the predictive analysis met through the performance indicators for achieving the requirements goal. Compared with the existing methods, the proposed method has a maximum 32.8% higher matching result through performance measurement, resulting in a 28.9% error rate and a 45.8% reduction in the change code. This shows that it can be processed into a serviceable form through rules, and it shows that performance can be expanded through predictive analysis of changes.

  • In order to resolve coverage hole problems caused by indoor-BS (IBS) faults, we propose a new frame structure and practical algorithm based on optimization technique. Our main contributions can be described as follows: 1) a frame structure with healing channels for solving abnormal IBS faults; and 2) an efficient heuristic resource allocation algorithm with fixed IBS selection to reduce the complexity for the optimization problem. Through intensive simulations, we evaluate the performance excellency of our proposed algorithm with respect to average cell capacity and user fairness compared with conventional algorithms.

  • The purpose of this study was to develop an aloin-loaded wound dressing with an enhanced healing effect. The cross-linked hydrogel films were prepared with poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA) and carboxyl methyl cellulose (CMC) using a freeze-thawing (F-T) method. Their gel properties, release of drug, in vivo wound healing effect and histopathology were then evaluated. In the wound healing test, this aloin loaded PVA/CMC hydrogel showed faster healing of the wound made in rat dorsum than the aloin carbomer 934 gel or the control (carbomer 934 gel) due to phytochemical activity of aloin and moisture of CMC. In conclusion, the aloin-loaded wound dressing composed of 5% PVA, 5% CMC and 0.125% aloin is a potential wound dressing with enhanced wound healing effect.

  • This study investigated the effectiveness of "Healing Stay in Forest," a long-term stay forest therapy program implemented by National Center for Forest Therapy in 2019 with 49 participants by measuring pre- and post-questionnaire responses and physical changes, such as blood pressure, body composition, and HRV. Results confirmed statistically significant reduction in negative emotions and enhancement of autonomic nerve balance in the participants. Regarding the changes in the evaluation of physical fitness based on medical history, some significant differences were observed in grip strength and standing high jump, in which participants with no medical history showed better results than those with medical history. These findings are important for verifying the effectiveness of long-term stay forest therapy (6 nights and 7 days).
