Development of Pedestrian Dummies with Korean Anthropometric Data (한국인 표준체형을 고려한 보행자 더미 개발)

  • It is necessary to have a model that describes the anthropometry of the crash victim with a sufficient accuracy Koreans, however, do not have their own pedestrian dummies to be used in pedestrian collision tests. They have to use European and American dummies for their safety analysis. In this study scaled pedestrian dummies were constructed by using MADYMO. The dummies represent Korean average males and females aged from 25 to 29. The scaled Korean dummies and MADYMO human models were used to obtain and compare the pedestrian dynamic behaviors and injury criteria during the impact events.

  • According to the pedestrian protection regulations of Europe and Japan, the head injury must not exceed a limitation in the defined test condition for the protection of pedestrians from a vehicle crash. However, it is difficult to evaluate the performance of protection because each regulation has different test conditions such as dummy, impact speed and so on. This circumstance needs the development of a model that describes the anthropometry of the crash victim with a sufficient accuracy. We constructed scaled pedestrian dummies using MADYSCALE. Simulations were performed for various crash speeds and pedestrian postures. The scaled Korean dummies and HybridIII dummies were used to compare the pedestrian dynamic behaviors and head injury criteria during the collision. The HIC values of scaled korean dummies were found to be higher than those of Hybrid III dummies. The impact for gait posture was less than that for standing.

Observation on Neck Form Changes Related to Aging in Men(Part I) -Using the Sliding Gause Measurement Method- (성인남자 목부위의 연령별 형태변화에 관한 연구(제1보) -슬라이딩 게이지법에 의한 분석-)

  • As a means to get a better understanding of the kind of form changes to which is subject the neck of the men, in its aging process, several measurement recordings on a vertical and horizontal sections were carried. Subjects were young, middle aged and elder men (15 in their twenties, 11 in their forties and again 11 in their sixties) 1) The analysis of the meansurement results led us to distinguish 3 types of subjects according to the position of the their Adam's apple with regard to the horizontal plane containing their 7th cervical vertebrae point : clearly above (Type I), next to(Type II), clearly below(Type III). We found that young men correspond to the Type I and II, middle aged men to the Type ll and 111 and elder men only to the Type III. 2) The comparison of the horizontal sectional surface contained in the planes corresponding to the 4 points, shows a larger sectional surface for elder men in the Adam's apple plane, accompanied by a change of position of the Adam's apple forwards. As for the front neck point plane, the body sectiolial surface is larger in depth in elder men, without much change in breadth. And for the acromion point plane, we observed also an increase in depth, but with a decrease in breadth corresponding partially to the atrophy of the thoraric cage in eldermen.

  • In this study, as a part of practical and customized smart contents development planning research related to smart fitness contents associated with smart wear that can monitor physical activity, we investigated the potential needs for smart fitness contents through research. As a result, the potential needs for smart fitness contents is 'accessibility to use', 'inducement of interest', 'diverse story line' were derived at the stage of 'before exercise', 'Real - time voice coaching', 'accurate exercise posture monitoring', and 'personalized exercise prescription' were derived at the stage of 'during exercise'. At the stage of 'after exercise', 'substantial reward system', 'grading system', 'body figure change monitoring' and 'everyday life monitoring' were derived. At the stage of 'connection to the next exercise', 'triggering exercise motivation', 'high sustainability' wear derived.

An Analysis of Body Shapes in Aged Abdominal Obese Women for Apparel Pattern Design (복부비만 노년 여성의 의복패턴설계를 위한 체형연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to provide the basic data useful in designing apparel patterns for aged abdominal obese women. The body measurements of 318 women were taken at random, whose ages were over 60 and fields of action were colleges, sports centers, or business sites in Seoul and the neighboring districts. A total of 33 features in the upper body and lower body were used fer the anthropometric measurement and analysis using anthropometry. The collected measurement data were processed statistically using the SPSS 12.0 program for technical statistical analysis, t-test, frequency analysis, correlation analysis. The results of the study are as follows. 1. Subjects were classified into two groups as a result of analysis for measurement data. It was revealed that 251(about 79 percent) women of total subjects(n=318) have a characteristic of abdominal obese body type and elderly women of these group usually had big abdomen rather than hip. The criteria of abdominal obesity based on waist-hip ratio, WHR(=0.85). 2. Aged abdominal obese women have shown much larger size in most body measurements except items of some vertical length, such as bust ponit-bust point, font interscye, back interscye with circumference and depth of armscye, bust, waist, abdomen and hip while showing no difference in height, biacrominal breadth, hip width, neck shoulder point to breast point, crotch length. 3. Vervaeck index(=100.1) and Rohrer index(=1.7) indicated that the abdominal obese women were fat in overall body. And aspect ratio of waist(=0.86), abdomen(=0.92) and hip(=0.75) also appeared high that the shape of cross sections in those regions was similar to a figure of circle 4. In view of the correlation coefficient between hip circumference and the rest measurement items, and between hip circumference inclusively of the abdomen protrusion and the rest measurement items, there were found some differences for each group. In case of Group (abdominal obese group), the former is smaller than the other. 5. In case of Abdominal obese women, hip circumference inclusively of the abdomen protrusion is more mutually related to the rest items related to make apparel pattern as waist circumference, depth of armscye and so on than what hip circumference is. This result indicated which must be considered hip circumference inclusively of the abdomen protrusion to make apparel patterns for abdominal obese women unlike women of common body types.

Application of the Detection of External Contamination on Radiation Workers for Bed Type Whole Body Counting Using Monte Carlo Method (몬테카를로 방법을 적용한 bed type 전신계측기의 방사선작업종사자 외부오염 검출 응용)

  • Monte Carlo method was applied to discriminate the external contamination on radiation workers in nuclear power plants for internal dose assessment generally used with a bed type scanning detector whole body counter. Korean voxel model with internal contamination was used to estimate the detection patterns of whole body scanning. Also, the BOMAB model with various external contamination was assumed to compare with detection of radionuclides inside the human body. From the comparison of detection efficiency between front and back side up, external contamination was easily distinguished.

  • The solid-state electrolyte based on polymer is applicable to various electrochemical devices including supercapacitor, battery, sensor, actuator and has great attention to develop its ionic conductivity from conventional polymer electrolyte by uisng wide range of ionic liquids. The research about ion gel as a solid state electrolyte with the ionic liquid has focused on the wearable and flexible electronic device to use as the high electrical and electrochemical performances, mechanical strength of polymer. In this work, we have investigated and developed solid-state electrolyte based on the ionic liquid and polymer with enhanced ionic conductivity and stability.

  • 요통(Lowback Pain)을 유발하는 주요원인으로 알려져있는 MMH(Manual Materials Handling) 작업에 있어서 작업조건의 변화가 근육의 활동과 피로도에 미치는 영향을 평가하기 위해 4가지 서로 다른 작업조건하에서 몸통부위(Trunk)의 주요근육에 대한 EMG 파형분석을 실시 하였다. 본 연구에서의 분석대항작업은 실제 작업조건과 유사하레 설계된 120분간의 단속적인 인양(Lifting)/하역(Lowering) 작업으로서 작업중량은 작업자의 MVIS(Maximum Voluntary Isometric Strength)를 기준으로 설정되었으며, 매 10분 간격으로 EMG 측정이 이루어졌다. 작업물이 작업자의 정면에 위치한 대칭형(Symmetric) 작업의 경우 배면부(Dorsal) 근육인 천극근(Erector Spinae)과 활배근(Latissimus Dorsi)이 활동근(Active Muscle)인 것으로 나타났으며, 정중면(Medial Plane)을 중심으로 좌우측 근육이 동일한 근력을 발휘하였다. 작업물이 작업자의 한쪽 측면에 위치한 90도 비대칭형(Asymmetric) 작업의 경우 천극근과 활배근외에 작업물과 반대쪽 외사근(External Oblique)이 활동근으로 추가되었으며, 작업물과 반대쪽의 근육들이 더욱 큰 근력을 발휘하였다. 작업의 반복에 따른 근육의 피로도를 평가하기 위해 실시한 EMG 파형의 Spectral Analysis 결과, 비대칭형 작업시 작업물과 반대쪽의 천극근에서 작업시간의 경과에 따라 중위주파수(Median Power Frequency)가 저주 파수대로 천이(Lower Shift)하는 현상이 나타났으며, 일정한 작업량이라도 작업중량을 줄이고 작업 빈도를 높여서 작업할 경우에 이러한 현상이 더욱 두드러졌다. 작업시간의 경과에 따른 MVIS의 감소 현상은 작업빈도가 높고 비대칭형 작업일 때 가장 크게 나타났다. 총손실을 줄이고, 상대적 비용절감효과를 갖게할 수 있다고 하였다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 성인 여성기성복의 치수적합성을 높이기위하여 출산 후 중년에 접어 들면서 체형이 변화되는 것을 고려하여 연령을 분류하고(18세-34세, 30세-51세), 각 연령 집단에 따른 체형을 각각 3가지로 분류하였다. 이에 따라 의복 생산시의 총손실을 줄이기위한 상의, 하의생산시 필요한 부위별 최적규격치 간격을 제시하였다.적인 기능으로 보여지는 것에 좁혀서 작업능력의 연령증가 변화에 대하여다원적 평가를 하는 것이 실제적이라고 할 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 인간이 가지고 있는 다수의 기능중에서 수지교 치성과 연령증가와의 관계를 조사한다. 만약 연령증가 만으로 수지교치성을 평가 할 수 없는 경우에는 어떠한 요인이 수지기민성의 변화에 영향을 미치는가를 검토한다.t list)에서 자동적으로 사건들의 순서가 결정되도록 확장하였으며, 설비 제어방식에 있어서도 FIFO, LIFO, 우선 순위 방식등을 선택할 수 있도록 확장하였다.   • The purpose of this study is to ensure safety by measuring External radiation dose ratio (ERDR) by traits of patients in many ways after administering radiopharmaceutical($^{18}F$-FDG) for PET Torso scan, and to decrease ERDR of those to RI technologist, caretakers, and those who frequently exposed to radiation by arousing attention to radiation dose. Radiopharmaceutical was administered to 80 patients who conducted PET Torso from January to June, 2013. Radiation dose emitted from the patients was measured according to body shape(BMI), water hydration, height, amount of radiation administration. From the moment immediately after the radiopharmaceutical was administered, ERDR was measured by personal traits of patients. The radiation dose increased in proportion to the administered amount of the radiopharmaceutical, and there was no significant difference depending on the body shape of the patients. When water was supplied and the height was normal, the radiation dose was lower compared with the cases where water was not supplied and height was not normal. There is a need for making efforts to minimize the working time through sufficient education and mock training before those who RI technologist with sources of radiation for complying the radiation safety management rule. And they should minimize the ERDR by wearing a protective gear.

A analysis of Proper Workbench for Body Type of Dental Technician (치과기공사의 체형에 적합한 작업대의 분석)

  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate the height of workbench in dental lab for ergonomic body type which dental technicians are suitable and suggest to effective improvement of workspace. For this purpose, we measured the height, weight, body sizes of total 77 junior majoring in dental laboratory science where they study school located in Gyeonggi and Chungcheong area and we research uncomfortable body type when they had a clinical training. For comparative analysis we had visited 15 dental lab and 2 dental lab of general hospital and we had measured the height of workbench and desk including chair and then We had statistical analysis measured value. Especially we analyzed the important factor causing inconvenience for work environment. As a result, we had examined, we found following results The sand table was the most uncomfortable equipment, when they have clinical training. There is no correlation between sexual characteristics of junior in college and selection of uncomfortable equipment. It is reasonable to assume that sand table which is lower than recommended height brings out inconvenience. It is analyzed that the optimum height of sand table in dental lab for junior in college is lower than the recommended height. The optimum height of sand table in dental lab has deviation according to height of junior in college. The height of worktable in dental lab was lower than recommended height. The recommended range could not apply to posture of dental technician with different height uniformly.
