부순모래 사용에 따른 원전 구조물용 콘크리트의 기초적 특성 (Fundamental Characteristics of Concrete for Nuclear Power Plant Using Crushed Sand)

  • 본 연구에서는 원전 구조물용 콘크리트의 잔골재로 부순모래를 사용하기 위한 연구의 일환으로 기존의 부순모래 생산공정에서 임팩트크러셔(Impact crusher)의 성능(회전수)을 높여 입형을 개선하고 ASTM C 33에 적합하도록 입도를 조정한 부순모래의 입형 및 입도 특성을 검토하였으며, 강모래에 대한 치환률에 따라 콘크리트를 제조하여 콘크리트 배합 특성, 굳지 않은 콘크리트 특성 및 경화한 콘크리트 특성을 검토하였다. 실험결과, 대부분의 콘크리트 특성이 강모래만을 사용한 콘크리트와 동등한 수준으로 나타났지만, 강모래에 대한 치환률 50% 이상일 경우, 치환률 증가에 따라 허용 범위 내에서 공기량, 압축강도 및 인장강도는 다소 감소되는 것으로 나타났다.

  • 철강 산업에서 발생되는 슬래그 부산물 중 전기로슬래그는 슬래그 자체의 팽창반응성으로 인해 콘크리트용 원자재로서 활용이 불가능하지만, 슬래그의 팽창반응성을 제거한 전기로산화슬래그는 콘크리트용 골재로서 활용이 가능하다. 본 연구에서는 산화 전기로슬래그 잔골재를 사용한 콘크리트의 기초품질 특성을 검토한 것으로서, 산화 전기로슬래그 잔골재는 입형이 둥근 풍쇄전기로슬래그 및 입형이 부순모래와 유사한 파쇄 전기로슬래그 잔골재가 있으며, 본 실험에서는 파쇄 전기로슬래그 잔골재를 사용하였다. 잔골재에 대해 용적 대체한 경우에서의 콘크리트의 품질 특성을 검토 결과, 전기로슬래그 잔골재는 골재 자체의 밀도가 일반 천연골재에 비해 매우 높고, 흡수율이 매우 낮기 때문에 전기로슬래그 잔골재 대체율이 증가할수록 동일 유동성을 확보하는 단위수량은 감소하는 경향을 나타내고 있으며, 동일 단위수량 적용시에도 콘크리트의 강도 발현 특성은 증가하는 경향을 나타내고 있다.

대형 입형펌프 운전 중 공진현상의 진동 저감을 위한 스티프너 설계 및 성능 검증 (Design of Stiffeners for Reducing Resonant Vibration of Large Vertical Pumps and Its Performance Verification)

  • This case study presents a practical method to reduce resonant vibration of large vertical pumps. The pumps are driven at 400 rpm rated speed by induction motor. The vibration was not significantly large when operated at this rated speed. Large vibration was occurred when the pump was operated below the rated speed for flow control. Due to the large vibration resonance, variable speed operation of the pump was not possible for several months at worst cases. To find an efficient vibration control method, the flexural responses of pumps for both normal and transient operations were measured. The measured modal characteristics were compared with those of finite element analysis. When the pump was operated at a specific rpm, the natural mode whose resonance frequency is twice the rotating angular speed induced the large vibration. The retrofit utilizing stiffeners to reduce this resonant vibration were performed. Effects of designed stiffeners on reducing vibration were validated through tests after actual installation.

고유동콘크리트의 충전특성에 미치는 골재 입형의 영향 (The Influence of the Aggregate Grain Shape on Compactability of High Flowing Concrete)

  • This study aims to examine the influence of the unit powder content of concrete and the fine aggregate ration of high flowing concrete after the improvement of grain shape of the coarse aggregate. According to the experimental results, flowbility and compating of concrete presents the best states in the S/a which has the smallest void ratio. The coarse aggregate after improvement of grain shape has been changed from 0.68 circular ratio of disc shape to 0.73 circular shape. It lead to be down 6% of fine aggregate ratio (from 47% to 41%), which is satisfactory to compacting. Also, the improvement of grain shape of the coarse aggregate lead the lowest unit powder content to be down 60kg/㎥ from (530kg/㎥ to 470kg/㎥). And about 11% unit water content can be reduced as unit powder conent is down.

  • This study investigates influence of particle properties of crushed sand on the duality of concrete. The test shows that an increase of fineness modulus(FM) resulted in high slump and air contents, while compressive strength decreased due to decreased adhesion with reduction of surface area. As grain shape become rounder, the slump of concrete increased, due to reduction of internal friction, and increased air contents. The reduction of adhesion by abrasion of surface declined compressive strength during the process of manufacturing crushed sand. Increase of powder contents decreased slump and it also decreased air contents due to the effect of filling air void. In addition. using powder contents increased compressive strength, but could not find any difference of bleeding and tensile strength with particle properties.

  • The quality of cement mortar products largely depends on various work conditions, specially on the grading and grade shape of aggregates. However, the effect of grading and grade shape on the quality is not considered by both KS codes and production processes, resulting in the increase of the possibility of quality degradation. The objective of this study was to investigate the effect of grading and grade shape on the strength and absorption characteristics of cement mortar products. Flexural and compressive strength increased with the increase of fineness modulus and W/C. The strength increase was measured larger with river sand than with crushed sand. Absorption tended to decrease with the increase of fineness modulus and W/C, but did not affected by the source of sand.

재생골재 입형이 재생골재콘크리트의 압축강도와 슬럼프에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Recycled Aggregate Shape on Compressive Strength and Slump of Recycled Concrete)

  • The efforts have improved the absorbtion that in order to high the quality of recycled aggregates, and the shape. For the shape of recycled aggregates, the shape of usually aggregates can affect the strength of concrete in an indirect way. So that, in the study, effects is investigated the shape of recycled aggregates that affects the compressive strength and slump. In the result, the a improved shape have a beneficial effect on compressive strength and slump for of a high quality recycled aggregate, and these appear a larger effects in unit water ; $175kg/m^3$ or specified strength ; 24MPa.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the influence of the flowability and the compressive strength of concrete after the improving of grain shape of the coarse aggregate and fine aggregate fineness modulus. According to the experimental results, the coarse aggregate after improvement of grain shape it lead to be down by 6% fine aggregate ratio, from 47% to 41%. The 0.5% increase of fine aggregate fineness modulus lead to 3% increase of concrete slump, and 1% reduction of concrete air content. While compressive strength on fine aggregate fineness modulus, it was increased until fineness modulus 3.0, but after it reached by 3.5 it was decreased. The compressive strength of the coarse aggregate after improving the grain shape was decreased by 6% due to loss of the adhesion of cement paste.
