Location and Spatial Variations of Ceramic Industry in Miryang City, Kyongnam Province, Korea (밀양시 요업의 입지와 공간변화)

  • The locational characteristics of ceramic industry in Miryang city, Kyongnam province, were clarified by means of examining the process of its formation, spatial variation, locations and their changes. The government policy on industry and the business fluctuation are important in the quantitative changes of the industry. The spatial variation of industry toward the outer part of area are the results of equilibrium between the decrease of firms in inner city and the increase of firms in outer part. The births and deaths of firms played important role in the processes of spatial variations. The industry location has lasted by the accumulation of location decision of 'potential entrepreneurs' who learned knowledges on the industry and had personal contacts with the business-related persons for long time. The main factors on the locational decision of firms are personal factor, raw materials, land, water and market. The locational problems have mainly related with plant expansion, land, marketing, labour and capital. They caused investment changes and caused relocations of firms. Such disadvantages as raw material exhaustion, shortage of land and congestion within the agglomeration area, development of road transportation and local government policy on industry location, induced recent decentralization of industry to outer part.

  • 접근성이란 특정 목적을 가진 통행자가 한 지점에서 다른 지점으로 얼마나 쉽게 갈 수 있는가 를 나타내는 척도를 말한다. 따라서 접근성은 주로 공간적인 거리나 시간이 가장 중요한 요인으로 작용하며 최근에는 공간적 거리보다는 접근시간이 더 중요한 접근성 척도로 사용되고 있다. 본 연구는 GIS공간분석기법과 접근성이론을 접목하여 도시시설의 적정후보지 평가방법을 정립한 후 현재 검토되고 있는 수도권 도심공항터미널 입지 후보지 중 어떤 후보지가 이용들의 총통행시간을 최소화하는 후보 지인가에 대해 평가해보았다. 평가 결과 다음과 같은 사실을 밝힐 수 있었다. 첫째, 수도권 전체로 볼 때 평균접근시간이 가장 양호한 후보지는 쌍문터미널(현 간이 도심공항터미널)이고, 2위는 현 삼성동 도심공항터미널과 강남고속터미널, 3위는 동서울터미널과 남서울터미널 순으로 나타났다. 둘째, 수도권전체 이용자들의 총통행시간을 최소로 하는 도심공항터미널 후보지는 접근성이 가장 양호한 쌍문동터미널이 아니라 현 서울역이 1위이고, 2위는 강남고속 터미널, 3위는 용산 역으로 나타났다. 셋째, 터미널 후보지간의 가중평균접근 시간은 도심인 서울시내에 입지한 후보지와 수도권 외곽에 입지 한 후보지간에 큰 차이가 없으나 총 이용자 접근시간은 서울시에 입지한 후보지보다 외곽의 후보지가 훨씬 높게 나타나 뚜렷한 차별성을 보이고 있다. 넷째, 최적후보지 1,2,3순위 모두 서울도심과 강남도심에 입지한 지역들로 나타나 교통의 접근성 보다는 아직 인구밀집도가 주요 도시시설의 입지결정에 주요한 결정요인 되는 것으로 나타났다.해석 시스템을 구축할 예정이다. 추후에는 하수도 관망해석 컴포넌트와 하수도 업무 컴포넌트와의 통합부분에 대한 연구가 진행되어야 할 것이다.7.0로 하고 표준(標準) EDTA 용액(溶液)을 소량(少量)넣고 8N-KOH로 pH $12{\sim}13$으로 하고 N-N 희석분말(稀釋粉末)을 지시약(指示藥) 으로써 표준(標準) EDTA 용액(溶液)으로 적정(滴定)하여 Ca 치(値)를 얻었다. Ca와 Mg의 합계결정치(合計決定値)와 Ca 적정치(滴定値) 차(差)로 Mg 치(値)를 얻었다. 음(陰) ion 구분(區分)으로부터 상법(常法)에 의하여 $MgNH_4PO_4$의 침전(沈澱)을 만들어서 HCl에 녹키고 일정량(一定量)의 표준(標準) EDTA 용액(溶液)을 넣어 pH 7.0로 한다음 완충액(緩衝液)으로 pH 10으로 하고 BT 지시약(指示藥)을 써서 표준(標準) Mg $SO_4$용액(溶液)으로 적정(滴定)하여 P 치(値)를 얻었다. 본법(本法)으로 Na-phytate를 분석(分析)한 결과(結果) Na-phytate의 분자식(分子式)을 $C_6H_6O_{24}P_6Mg_4CaNa_2{\cdot}5H_2O$라고 하였을 때의 이론치(理論値)에 비(比)하여 P가 98.9% Cark 97.1%, Mg가 99.1%이고 통계처리(統計處理)한 결과분석치(結果分析値)와 이론치(理論値)는 잘 일치(一致)된다. 그러나 종래법(從來法)에 의(依)한 분석치(分析値)는 이론치(理論値)에 비(比)하여 P가 92.40%, Cark 86.80

On the Location arid Development of Industrial Complexes in Chonbuk Province (전북지역 산업단지의 입지 및 발달에 관한 연구)

  • In Korea, as the state has played a vital role for industrial development, the location and development of industrial complexes have not been merely decided by economic factors but political and social factors as well. The location of industrial complexes in Chonbuk province has not been decided by industrial enterprises to be located there, but by investment strategies of the state. In the early stage of industrialization, Chonbuk could not attract a large-scale major complex because it had relatively inferior infrastructure for industry and uneasy access to overseas export markets, as compared to the capital region or the Southeast region of the country, and it has been left behind as a periphery in the national industrial system. Since 1980, the spatial policies for lessening regional disparities had much contributed to the development of industrial complexes in this province. The industrial complexes leading to the development of manufacturing activities in this region have also great influenced on structural changes of manufacturing as well as changes in the structure of the regional economy. Especially, capital goods manufacturing tends to increase in this region as the development of sectors required relative higher skill and technology mainly occurs in these complexes. And where the large-scale industrial complexes are located greatly influences the locational patterns of manufacturing in this province. The patterns of the industrial complexes in this region have concentrated in Chonju, Iksan, and Kusan, which are the largest cities in this province. Given these three cities to be very closely proximate, it seems to be easy to build network between them to develop the manufacturing activities in the near future.

Characteristic Changes and the Locational Implications of Foreign Direct Investment in Korea After the Economic Restructuring Programs (경제구조조정 이후 외국인투자의 특성변화와 입지적 의미)

  • This study aims to reveal what locational changes of foreign direct investment are prominent in Korea after the economic restructuring programs beginning in 1997. These locational changes would have some potential impacts on the local or national economy. One can expect that concentration in the Seoul Metropolitan Area (SMA) would have intensified after the restructuring because the competitiveness focus would have led foreign investors to high potential areas. An analysis of the data on foreign-invested companies in the manufacturing sector shows that this expectation has come into reality. Within SMA, Seoul shows even bigger changes in the locational share than surrounding areas. Also prominent are increases of the locational share of the SMA in the electrical and electronic companies and in those companies with less than fifty percent investment share. But this pattern is not found distinctly by home country of investment.

  • The objective of this study was to improve the accuracy of calculation and estimation of solar radiation and duration of sunshine, which are the most important variables of photovoltaic power generation in deciding the location of photovoltaic facilities efficiently. With increasing interest in new and renewable energies, research on solar energy is also being conducted actively, but there have not been many studies on the location of photovoltaic facilities. Thus, this study calculated solar duration and solar radiation based on geographical factors, which have the most significant effect on solar energy in GIS environment, and corrected the results of analysis using diffuse radiation. Moreover, we performed ordinary kriging, a spatial statistical analysis method, for estimating values for parts deviating from the spatial resolution of input data, and used variogram, which can determine the spatial interrelation and continuity of data, in order to estimate accurate values. In the course, we compared the values of variogram factors and estimates from applicable variogram models, and selected the model with the lowest error rate. This method is considered helpful to accurate decision making on the location of photovoltaic facilities.

  • Recently people are starting to pay attention to the vacant house. Vacant house across the country are expected to be a Million. Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs has created a new legal provisions regarding maintenance to Vacant on the Construction Law. But Vacant house information systems in government are not available Other countries to clarify the role each entity to manage these Vacant and manages the Vacant. The national government has made the operating budget support program for the Vacant management. The local government has made legislation of self-government to create a DB for the Vacant management. A non-profit corporation is developing a program operated by the Vacant, and the Vacant intermediaries to consumers. Therefore, our country is also to expand the national budget for the Vacant administration, local governments should establish a comprehensive management system for managing and providing Vacant house research and DB.

Spatial Regression Analysis of Factors Affecting the Spatial Accessibility of the Public Libraries in Busan (공간회귀분석을 이용한 부산지역 공공도서관 접근성 영향 요인 분석)

  • Public library accessibility directly affects library usage, and the disproportionate distribution of accessibility is a decisive factor limiting the equitable provision of library services. In this regard, this study analyzed the spatial accessibility of public libraries in Busan and identified the factors affecting accessibility of public libraries using spatial regression analysis. As a results of the analysis, the accessibility of public libraries in the Busan showed large deviations by region. Also, spatial distribution of public libraries had no correlation with the settled population and use of public transportation, and location of public libraries was inefficient, in terms of social equity. The results of this study will assist to understand the spatial accessibility of public libraries in Busan, to identify factors that affect the accessibility. Moreover, this study is expected to be utilized as fundamental data for releasing disparities of the spatial accessibility and selecting new location of public library in Busan.

  • 본 논문에서는 서울시를 대상으로 2020년 기준 자치구별 공공체육시설의 개수를 분석하고, 도출된 서비스 지역 적정 개소 수를 기준으로 추가 설치가 필요한 자치구 내 입지를 예측하였다. 기존 공공 체육시설 수와 선행연구의 입지 지표를 활용해 회귀분석을 바탕으로 유의한 입지요인을 도출하고, 이를 변수로 한 k-means 군집화를 통해 자치구별 입지 후보군이 될만한 행정구역상 동을 구분하였다. 이후 선정된 행정구역 내 기준 인구 당 공공체육시설 비율이 같아지도록 공공체육시설 설치 개수를 결정한 다음 각 구역의 중심점으로부터 가까운 동 순으로 공공체육시설의 추가 설치가 필요한 동을 선정하였다.

A Study on the Selecting Factors of Manufacturing and Logistic Hub in Far Eastern Area (극동지역 제조 및 물류거점 선정요인 중요도 분석에 관한 연구)

  • As geopolitical, archaeological and strategic interests on cooperation with countries in the Far Eastern Area is gradually increased, countries are competing to attract or install a logistics or manufacturing hub in their countries. In this study, we investigated the relative importance of factors on the main three and nine detailed criteria from the domestic and overseas experts on Far Eastern Area. Using AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process) analysis, priority importance of factors was derived. As a result, we find that the most important factor was economic factor. In detail, industrial complex creation was the highest factor and the institutional guarantees for the investment on policy and transportation network was second highest factor. Based on analysis result, specific competitiveness level in the 10 region of Far East was follows. Hunchun, Vladivostok, Yanji, Tumen, Rajin, Hassan, Ussuriysk, Cheongjin, Mihaylov Skiing, Nije Jeuchinski were showed in order. Hunchun showed the highest competitive level in location, topography, compliance to the around cities, transportation network, industrial complex, excellence in logistics facilities, long-term investment plans, institutional guarantees for investment, customs efficiency and political stability. However, in other factors such as population and number of households, public facilities, potential demand and resource utilization, Vladivostok showed the highest level.

The Evolution of Economic Structure and the Locational Characteristics of Enterprises in Border Region of Gyeonggi Province (경기도 접경지역의 경제구조변화와 기업의 입지특성)

  • The purpose of this paper analyzes the characteristics of economic space in Gyeonggi border regions. Especially, this study focuses on understanding the environment enveloped the enterprises because today, largely influenced factor for regional economic development is enterprises. Since 1990's the change of the spacial organization in Korean Capital region has been inducing the functional transformation in Gyeonggi border regions so that new function -beyond military functions- is developed in these regions. By the disindustrialization in core region contributed to the industrialization in periphery, border regions are developed as a concentrated space of traditional industries and small size manufactural firms. The most important pull factor is facility for obtain a factory site and favorable condition of land price. Globally, the reasons to locate enterprise in these regions are found not in positive and progressive strategies but in passive and defensive strategies. Therefore few enterprise carried about influences of economic cooperation between North and South Korea at the moment of decision of their site. The survey reveal that enterprises didn't highly estimate the environment in border regions as their business activities. The first dissatisfied condition is insufficiency of labour and difficulty of access for administrative and high level services, due to geographical separation. Considering the recent tendency of spacial reorganization in Capital region is not always good for border regions, border regions have to employ a policy with the object of ameliorating regional business environments and growing up a potentiality of endogenous development.
