Variations of Agronomic Traits on the Progenies of the Different Callus Origin and Subculture Period in Rice (벼에서 캘러스 유기원와 계대배양 기간에 따른 재분화 계통의 주요 농업형질 변이)

  • Variations of agronomic traits were evaluated on the progenies of regenerated rice plants of different callus origin and subculture period. From eighty-eight percent to ninety percents of ovary culture-derived plants (OCP) and anther culture-derived plants (ACP) were not segregated within the lines in major agronomic characters. Compare to ACP and OCP lines, the seed culture derived lines (SCP) showed more segregation (17%) in major agronomic traits among the lines. The most frequent segregating traits were grain fertility (6.1%) in ACP, leaf color (4.2%) in OCP and grain fertility (4.9%) and leaf color (4.9%) in SCP lines. The SCP line showed more variation in culm length, panicle length and heading date than those of OCP and ACP lines. The variation of agronomic traits in SCP lines was tended to increase with prolonged subculture. Culm and panicle length were shorter than those of original cultivar in all three types of tissue culture-derived lines (OCP, ACP and SCP).

Development of Hybrid Rice Facilitated by Cytoplasmic Genetic Male Sterility II. Responses of Korean Cultivars to the Chinese Cytoplasmic Genetic Male Sterile lines (웅성불임성을 이용한 수도잡종품종개발 II. 중공의 세포형질 유전적 웅성불임계통에 대한 몇가지 한국품종의 반응)

  • Chinese CGMS (Cytoplasmic-Genetic Male Sterility) is being transfered to Korean cultivars which will be used as CGMS maintainers. These maintainer lines along with the Chinese CGMS lines and their maintainer lines were crossed with another group of Korean cultivars which will be used as the fertility restorers, and their yield heterosis were examined. The yield heterosis was calculated as high as 113.0-221.1 % in terms of heterosis (F$_1$/Midparent) with the grand mean of 150.5%, and, 86.1-179.8% in terms of heterobeltiosis (F$_1$/better parent) with the grand mean of 125.3%. Among the female parent groups, Chinese mainteiners were the highest following by Chinese MS lines and the Korean maintainers were the lowest. Heterobeltiosis of yield components were 92.7%, 120.0%, 103.0% and 112.0% for number of panicles/unit area, number of grains/panicle, fertility per cent and 1000 grain weight, respectively. Path-coefficients of yield components to the yield were calculated. The highest one was number of grains per panicle ranging 0.8073-0.8649 followed by the 1000 grain weight ranging 0.2000-0.5032. The grain yield ratios to the grand mean were calculated in terms of combining ability. It was highest with the Chinese maintainers followed by Chinese MS lines and The Korean maintainers were lowest. This facts bring cautions to the breeding efforts to transfer the Chinese CGMS in to Korean maintainers.

  • A cytoplasmic-genetic male sterile line(MS) in rapes of which fertility is not restored under any temperature regimes and have the better quaility of and oil cake was developed. A MS line named Mokpo-MS, which is form the cross between Tower and Isuzu and its stamens is degenerated completely by interact~g with cytoplasmic and nuclear genes was selected. This MS line was found as a complete cytoplasmic-genetic male sterile having the quality of oil and oil cake were greatly improved by introducing Zero-erucic and Zero-glucosinolate gene from Tower.

An Analysis on argumentation structure development of preservice teachers through argumentative writing on earth science related SSI (지구과학 관련 사회적 문제(socio-scientific issue)와 관련된 논증적 글쓰기를 통해 알아본 예비교사들의 논증구조 발달 분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the degree of argumentation structure development and factors of development of preservice teachers through SSI related argumentative writings. The study was conducted with 16 preservice teachers that students taking elementary science education theory class in K university located in Chungbuk. The testees wrote six SSI related argumentative writings (once a week), and we examined the degree of argumentation structure development and the change in the recognition of SSI of the preservice teachers by comparing the writings before and after the experiments. The experimental results showed that argumentation structure of the preservice teachers'writings improved and argument level (argument capability) of them also increased as the number of writing was increased. Factors that affect the argumentation structure improvement are mainly argumentation structure education, a number of writings, feedbacks, and subjects related to SSI. In this aspect, the argumentative writing on SSI has the effect of developing scientific sophistication and enhancing the decision-making power of students, and it has positive impacts in science education.

  • 유비퀴터스 컴퓨팅 또는 퍼베이시브 컴퓨팅 분야는 최근 많은 연구와 개발이 이루어지고 있는 반면 그 비전과 영향을 효과적으로 보여주는 응용이나 서비스가 마땅히 떠오르지 않고 있다. 막상 한 두 가지의 훌륭한 기반기술을 개발하여 확보하여도 그것을 효과적으로 보여줄 수 있는 응용이나 서비스를 개발하는 것은 또 다른 도전과제인 것이다. 본 논문은 시나리오 기반 방법론 (Scenario-Based Development: SBD)을 이용하여 유비퀴터스 컴퓨팅 환경에서 필요한 서비스와 응용을 발굴하는 방법을 제시한다. 본 논문에서 제시하는 방법에서는 개발 주최가 보유하고 있는 요소 기술들을 나열하고, 그 기술들이 갖고 있는 문제점을 파악하기 위하여 사용자 설문을 실시한다. 설문을 분석한 결과로 문제 시나리오를 작성하고, 문제 시나리오 분석을 통하여 해결 시나리오를 작성한다. 이 두 시나리오를 작성하고 분석하는데 있어서 유비퀴터스 컴퓨팅의 개념과 기술적 특성을 반영한다. 최종적으로 해결 시나리오로부터 새로운 응용 서비스를 발굴하여 프로토타입 시스템을 개발하게 된다. 마지막으로 제시된 방법론을 이용하여 개발된 OSGi 기반의 스마트 홈 방범 시스템, 상황인지 방송 컨텐츠 제공 시스템, 그리고 개인 안전 감시 시스템, 이렇게 세 가지 시스템을 간단하게 소개한다.

  • The study focuses on analysing situation of disasters and characteristics in construction process which the technical construction firms accomplish. Besides, the study aims at the role and responsibilities of technical construction firms in construction safety. It is found out by a questionnaire and interviews in this study that safety control and management have a key role to prevent accidents in construction projects. Based on the result of the research, it is concluded that institutional improvement and support strategies are suggested and that additional to the support of the government and institutions in charge of the field of construction safety the effort of the first contractor, the second contractor and the laborer it is also important.

An Analysis of Concepts and Inquiry Activities related to the 'Earth Science' Area in the South Korean Elementary School Textbooks to the Current & A Study on the Improvement of Future Textbook (우리나라 역대 초등학교 교과서에서 다루어진 '지구과학' 영역의 중심개념과 탐구활동 분석 및 차기 교과서 개선 방안 모색)

  • This study aimed to analysis of concepts and inquiry activities related to the 'Earth Science' area in the South Korean elementary school textbooks to the current and to seek the improvement of future textbook. For the study, we were collected South Korean elementary school textbooks to the current. After the collection had been made, we were analyzed related to the 'Earth' area in the South Korean elementary school textbooks and were extracted central concepts and inquiry activities. The result of this study: First, there were 'A change in the land', 'Strata and Fossil', 'Volcanoes and Earthquakes', 'Earth and Moon', 'The weather', 'The Solar system and the Star', and 'Seasonal Change' in the central concepts related to the 'Earth' area in the South Korean elementary school textbooks to the current. Second, central concepts were almost the same but the curriculum was changed. Third, inquiry activities also were confirmed to be maintained with little change. This result was believed that it can provide a variety of suggestions at this point in changing the curriculum.

  • 현재의 배전자동화 시스템에서는 빠르게 계통의 변화를 이해하고 변화에 대한 대응을 할 수 있도록 전압 손실계산, 공급예비력 확보, 부하융통 방안수립 등을 주 업무로 하는 회선별 단선도를 가지고 있다. 또한 부하밀집 지역 같은 경우는 다수의 설비 symbol이 매우 근접하게 배치되어 있지만 단선도를 통해 계통을 단순화시켜 계통의 연결 관계를 쉽게 파악하고 운영한다. 하지만 도시가 점점 발전함에 따라 배 전자동화 시스템의 단선도 화면에 symbol이 많아져 계통이 크고 복잡해 졌을때 단선도가 화면을 넘어가는 현상과 선로의 중복 현상이 나타난다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 배 전자동화 시스템의 회선별 단선도 자동 생성 알고리즘은 계통이 크고 복잡해 져도 autodrawing기법을 통해 한 화면에 모두 보여 주고, 중복 현상을 없애기 위한 선로의 구성과 중복 현상 발생 때에도 좌표를 재배치 하는 알고리즘을 제안한다. 알고리즘을 통해 해결하며 또한 제안한 알고리즘을 검증하기 위해 VC++6.0을 기반으로 구현하였고, 이를 배전 자동화 시스템의 데이터베이스를 이용한 단선도와 비교를 통해 검증하였다.

  • This paper presents a GA for service restoration in electric power distribution systems. The aim of the service restoration is to restore service with maximizing the amount of total load restored while minimizing the number of required switch operation when a fault or overload occurs in distribution system. This paper develops GA for service restoration problem with constrained multi-objective optimization problem. The results show the effectiveness of the proposed method for solving the problem.

  • In this paper, a fault location algorithm is suggested for line to line faults in distribution networks. Conventional fault location algorithms use the symmetrical component transformation, a very useful tool for transmission network analysis. However, its application is restricted to balanced network only. Distribution networks are, in general, operated in unbalanced manners, therefore, conventional methods cannot be applied directly, which is the reason why there are few research results on fault location in distribution networks. Especially, the line to line fault is considered as a more difficult subject. The proposed algorithm uses direct 3-phase circuit analysis, which means it can be applied not only to balanced networks but also to unbalanced networks like distribution a network. The comparisons of simulation results between one of conventional methods and the suggested method are presented to show its effectiveness and accuracy.
