The purpose of this study is to develop the Clinical Kinesiology Class Contents(: CKCC) by utilizing movies and investigate the effects of its application to clinical kinesiology learning. The developed CKCC were applied to the clinical kinesiology classes for 47 second year student of physical therapy and occupational therapy in K college in G City. CKCC includ movie scenes that can demonstrate the action of muscles effectively, for better student understanding, as has already been shown widely. The interest and understanding of CKCC by the class was analysed. The results show that the developed CKCC is very effective implement for stimulating students' interest(p<0.05) and understanding(p<0.05) of clinical kinesiology classes.

Compression stockings are widely used for prevention of varicose vein. Depending on manufacture, there are diverse types of compression stockings available. Most common type of compression stocking might be the one cover calf of a lower leg which has 20~30 mmHg pressure. Despite being widely used, possible side effects that may occur by wearing compression stockings have not been studied much. We analyzed for a long wearing effect of compression stocking. Participants wore the compression stocking over one leg for 7 days. During the period, all the participants did their ordinary works wearing the compression stocking. Electrocardiogram (ECG), ankle-brachial index (ABI), blood pressure (BP), and electromyogram (EMG) were measured at 0 day, 3rd day and 7th day. There was no effect of wearing compression stockings from ECG, ABI or BP. Only EMG that was measured on the covered muscle increased proportionally to the wearing time. Interestingly, EMG from the opposite leg that had never been covered by compression stocking decreased in proportion to the wearing date. These results suggest wearing a compression stocking for varicose vein may cause unintentional increase or decrease of EMG from the wearing or non-wearing legs, respectively.

Cytogenetic analysis plays an important role in examinations of a variety of human disorders. Over the years, cytogenetic analysis has evolved to a great extent and become a part of routine laboratory testing; the analysis provides significant diagnostic and prognostic results for human diseases. Microarray in conjunction with molecular cytogenetics and conventional chromosome analysis has transformed the outcomes of clinical cytogenetics. The advantages of microarray technologies have become obvious to the medical and laboratory community involved in genetic diagnosis, resulting in greatly improved visualization and validation capabilities. This article reviews how the field is moving away from conventional cytogenetics towards molecular approaches for the identification of pathogenic genomic imbalances and discusses practical considerations for the routine implementation of these technologies in genetic diagnosis.

10개월경의 그리폰 벤딘 수컷 강아지가 8개월경부터 점점 운동 실조 및 마비증상을 나타내어 머독대학 동물병원에 내원 하였다. 내원 했을 때 주변에 매우 민감한 반응과 경계를 늦추지 않았지만 호흡과 심박수 및 체온은 정상이었다. 일반 방사선 사진 및 척수조영사진(myelography)을 촬영하여 확인한 결과 환축추의 불안정에 따른 척수의 복측 압박을 확인할 수 있었다. 외과적 고정은 복측 접근을 통하여 2개의 키르크너 강선(Kirschner wire)과 자가골이식을 실시하였으며 8주동안 외부 고정을 하였다. 수술 후 5개월 동안 지켜본 결과 증상은 꾸준히 좋아졌으며 환축추 관절으 관절고정술(arthrodesis)은 완벽한 고정을 유지하고 있었다.

혈당강하 요구르트의 개발을 위해 Streptococcus salivarius subsp. thermophilus와 Lacto-bacillus acidophilus 145, Bifidobacterium infantis 혼합균주에 사균인 FK-23 유산구균, 피니톨, 식이섬유, 백강낭콩 추출 분말, 에리스리톨, 바나바 추출물 등의 기능성 성분을 포함한 요구르트를 제조하여 정상인과 혈당치가 높은 당뇨 환자를 대상으로 간이 임상시험을 실시하였다. 1. 정상인의 식후 혈당치는 일반 요구르트를 섭취했을 때보다 혈당 강하 요구르트 음용시 더 낮게 측정되었으며 임상대상자 대부분에서 동일한 현상이 나타났다. 2. 혈당치가 높은 당뇨환자 10명을 대상으로 식후 혈당치 변화 및 음용기간 중 혈당치 변화를 확인한 결과 혈당 강하 요구르트를 음용하기 전보다 음용 후 혈당치가 식후 30 당증가 억제율도 임상대상자의 80%가 감소하는 효과를 나타냈다. 3. 30일간 혈당 강하 요구르트를 음용한 후 식후 혈당치의 변화를 확인한 결과 음용전보다 음용 후 120분 경과 때, 혈당치가 59 mg/dL 감소하였으며 음용기간이 증가할수록 지속적으로 감소하는 경향을 나타내었다.

This study aims to analyze physicians' online information search process to solve the clinical questions at the point of care. To achieve this purpose, ten university hospital-based physicians participated in-depth interviews and observation studies. Based on Wilson's problem solving process, this study analyzed the characteristics of each information search stage and efficiency of online searching. The results showed that participants tend to relatively immediately formulate their clinical questions. However, basic searching strategies were only used and a few preferred information sources were chosen. However, average satisfaction degree of online searching appeared high with 5.7 (7 Likert-scale) and problem-solving index increased after searching. As physicians are likely to use well organized and evidenced-based credible information easily, it implies the needs for an integrated search system within the electronic medical record (EMR). In addition, as other online resources' awareness is lower comparing Google and PubMed, active promotions and training of other resources are needed.

Objectives: The purpose of the study was to identify the factors influencing the nursing students' Clinical Competency. Methods: A sample of convenience was 185 nursing students, and a questionnaire was used to measure their self-leadership, critical thinking disposition, self-directed learning ability, problem solving ability and clinical competency. Results: A significant positive correlation was found among clinical competency, self-leadership, critical thinking disposition, self-directed learning ability and problem solving ability. Grade of which the participant was in, interpersonal relationship, critical thinking disposition, problem solving ability, and self-directed learning ability were significant predictive variables of which accounted for 53% of the variance in clinical competency. Conclusions: The results from this study can be used to develop the programs for improving clinical competency.

This study was done to investigate and compare satisfaction of clinical practice and its influencing factors between associate and bachelor nursing students. The participants were 420 nursing students in two cities. Data were collected through self-report questionnaires, and analyzed using the SPSS/WIN 19.0 program. Satisfaction of clinical practice in associate and bachelor nursing students correlated with self-esteem, self-efficacy, interpersonal relationships, and satisfaction of major. Significant factor influencing satisfaction of clinical practice in associate nursing students was satisfaction of major, and this factor accounted for 26.8% of the variance in satisfaction of clinical practice. And significant factors influencing satisfaction of clinical practice in bachelor nursing students were satisfaction of major, interpersonal relationships and gender, and these factors accounted for 31.9% of the variance in satisfaction of clinical practice. The above findings indicate that satisfaction of clinical practice in nursing students is influenced by satisfaction of major and interpersonal relationships. Therefore, when nursing interventions are developed to improve satisfaction of clinical practice in nursing students, these factors need to be considered.

The purpose of this study was to investigate an effect of resilience of clinical nurses on their job stress and burnout. A convenience sample of 166 subjects were recruited from one general hospital. The mean score of resilience, job stress, burnout were 2.48, 4.00, and 2.98 respectively. The relation between resilience and burnout was effected with the negative correlation. The explanation power of resilience of clinical nurses on burnout was 24.8%. In conclusion, we found that resilience decreased clinical nurse's burnout. From this result, we suggest resilience improvement programs for clinical nurses will be developed and implemented.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the level of achievement and satisfaction of pediatric nursing clinical practice by nursing students' evaluation. The subjects were 115 nursing students from the K university of B city and completed the child nursing practice from February 24 to June 24, 2016. Collected data were analyzed using SPSS 18.0 program and content analysis. Nursing students' achievement of learning ability and satisfaction of clinical practice were high, and there was a significant difference in achievement of learning ability according to age. 'To feel a sense of frustration about restricted practice experience' were from self-evaluation. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a clinical practice strategy that can improve the achievement of the learning ability of the technology area and improve the satisfaction of the training institute.
