우리 주변에서 인터넷에 접근할 수 있는 기반시설이 풍부하게 제공 되어 최근 출시되는 많은 가전제품과 전기전자 제품들은 인터넷에 접속하여 웹브라우저나 휴대폰을 이용하여 원격으로 감시하고 제어할 수 있다. 그러나 기존의 제품들은 대부분 인터넷 인터페이스가 없기 때문에 네트워크에 접속할 수 없어 불편함이 많았다. 따라서 본문에서는 주변의 가전제품 및 전기용품들을 인터넷 환경에서 감시하고 제어할 수 있는 인터넷 전원 콘센트를 위한 임베디드 WEB 제어환경을 설계하고 구현하였다. 본 논문에서 사용한 인터넷 전원 콘센트 제어기는 위즈넷사에서 개발한 하드웨어 TCP/IP 프로세서인 W5300을 사용하여 AVR 마이크로프로세서로 운영 가능한 인터넷 인터페이스를 설계하고 임베디드 WEB 서버를 구현하였다. 하드웨어 TCP/IP 프로세서를 사용하여 이더넷 인터페이스를 구현함으로서 소형의 8비트 마이크로프로세서로 완전한 TCP/IP 스택의 구현이 가능하여 개발제품의 가격 경쟁력과 소형화에 기여할 수 있다.

본 논문에서는 PON(Passive Optical Network)망의 장애진단을 위한 임베디드 네트워크 제어기를 설계하고 구현하였다. 본 연구에서 구현한 임베디드 네트워크 제어기는 PON망의 가장 말단인 수용가의 인터넷 공유기에 부착되어 수용가의 인터넷 선로장애를 진단할 수 있도록 구현함으로서 인터넷 서비스 제공자(ISP)의 NMS가 점검할 수 없는 영역까지 장애를 진단할 수 있다. 또한, 임베디드 네트워크 제어기는 PON망의 장애진단 뿐만 아니라 수용가의 가전제품 전원제어나 다양한 센서를 부착하여 제어할 수 있도록 제작하여 간단한 홈오토메이션 제어기로 활용할 수 있도록 설계하였다.

In this paper, new structures of embedded internet remote control systems, which can control electo-mechanical systems, are developed. For this, remote interface system structure using embedded system are developed first, then the way of internet remote control and the PC program for the control are discussed. The developed syste in this paper can be applied to home automations such as to control entrance doors, lights, consumer electronics and other industrial applications. To show the example illustrations, in this paper, the deyeloped system has been applied to multiple motor control systems. The results show that the developed system can directly be applicable into the real industrial field.

현대 산업이 무선인터넷 산업구조, 이동통신 서비스 사업자 중심의 무선인터넷 사업 패러다임으로 변화되어 소형 임베디드(Embedded) 장비를 이용하여 장소의 제약없이 다양한 응용프로그램의 사용과 인터넷의 접속이 가능하게 되었다. 이에 본 논문에서는 플랫폼에 독립적인 자바기술을 이용하여 임베디드장비를 이용하여 지하철 운행시간 검색이란 응용프로그램을 구현하였다.

Recently, the importance of embedded system is growing rapidly. In-order to satisfy the real-time constraints of the system, high performance embedded processor is required. Therefore, as in general purpose computer systems, embedded processor should be designed as multicore architecture as well. Using MiBench benchmarks as input, the trace-driven simulation has been performed and analyzed for the 2-core to 16-core embedded processor architectures with different types of cores from simple RISC to in-order and out-of-order superscalar processors, extensively. As a result, the achievable performance is as high as 23 times over the single core embedded RISC processor.

This paper explains the design and development of the stand-alone high sound quality Internet Radio system, which is aimed for a small embedded type audio device rather than a general PC type. This device is designed to work with an Internet connection. This kind of system is not standardized so far, and also the related algorithm is not open to the public. So it is necessary to analyze several receiving algorithms of current radio receivers, and develop our own hardware in order to overcome these obstacles, finally to get the high quality of sound radio. The main electronic components of this Internet Radio are TCP/IP interfaces, an audio MP3 decoder, an I/O interface, and a Flash Memory Card with advanced audio multicasting for the next-generation Internet Radio. Basic structures and implementation issues of the next-generation most-versatile digital music player, and Internet Radio receivers, are discussed.

기존의 컴퓨터 시스템보다 한정된 자원을 갖는 임베디드 시스템은 사용이 늘어나고 있지만 효율적인 관리 시스템이 부족하였다. 본 논문에서는 정보가전기기, PDA, 휴대폰등과 같은 인터넷으로 연결된 임베디드 시스템으로 구성된 분산 시스템 환경을 가정하고 임베디드 시스템의 효율적인 관리를 위한 관리 시스템 프레임워크를 제안하고 이를 구현한다. 제안하는 임베디드 시스템 관리 프레임워크는 이의 응용을 통해 임베디드 시스템의 상태를 모니터링하고 시스템의 성능저하, 작동정지를 사전에 방지하는 소프트웨어 재활 기법을 사용하여 임베디드 시스템의 관리 비용을 절감하고 성능을 향상시킬 수 있게 된다.

초고속인터넷, 무선통신의 보급과 유비쿼터스 환경으로 발전하면서 기반기술인 임베디드 시스템의 중요성이 커지고 있다. 임베디드 SW는 휴대폰, 디지털 TV, 셋톱박스, 홈네트워크는 물론 스마트카드, RFID, 센서노드 등 광범위한 분야에서 활용된다. 향후 임베디드 SW의 개발 경쟁력은 국가 경쟁력의 지표가 될 전망이어서 중요성이 더욱 커질 것으로 보인다.

현재의 가전기기들은 인터넷과 결합하여 정보가전기기로 변해 가는 추세이다. 현재 시판중인 몇몇의 인터넷 정보가전기기들이 있지만 불필요한 기능이 많고 복잡하며 일반기기에 비해서 너무 비싼게 현실이다. 이 논문에서 제시하고자 하는 모델은 필요로 하는 기능을 쉽게 사용학 수 있으면서 저렴한 가격에 임베디드 웹서버를 연결하여 인터넷 정보가전기기를 사용할 수 있는 모델을 제시한다.
