MCC의 부유부상 효율에 미치는 MCC의 표면에너지와 액상의 표면장력의 영향에 대한 기초연구

  • 우리나라 제지산업은 화학펼프의 80%를 수입에 의존하고 었으나 고지회수율 및 이용율이 세계적으로 볼 때 매우 높은 환경친화적 산업이다. 고지 재활용 공정 중에 서 가장 핵심적인 공정인 부유부상 공정은 고상계의 표면특성 차이를 이용하여 소수성 의 잉크업자를 기포에 부착시켜 부상을 통하여 제거하는 공정이다. 고지 사용의 고도화 를 위해서는 부유부상 공정의 효율 증대가 절실히 요구되고 있다. 또한 부유부상 공정 의 핵심적인 인자로 부유부상을 통하여 제거되는 고형물질의 표면 특성 특히 소수화도 가 중요하다는 것은 보고된 바 있으나 부유부상에 필요한 표면 특성의 존재 여부와 표 면 에너지와 부유부상 효율의 관계 등에 관한 기본적인 연구가 더욱 필요한 실정이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 부유부상 공정을 기초과학적 측면에서 규명하기 위해 마 이 크로 크리 스탈린 셀룰로오스(Microcrystalline cellulose: MCC)를 모델 물질로 사용하 고 이들의 표면특성을 접촉각 측정을 통하여 평가하였다. 친수성의 표면 특성을 지닌 M MCC의 표면 특성을 소수성으로 바꾸기 위하여 AKD(alkyl ketene dimer)의 함량별로 사이징 처리하여 소수성을 지닌 잉크를 모벨링 하고 친수성 MCC를 염색시약을 이용 하여 흑색으로 염색함으로써 소수화 된 MCC와의 색차를 두어 섬유를 모델링 하였다. 이렇게 제조된 MCC의 소수화 정도를 평가하기 위하여 분말상태인 MCC를 pellet으로 제조하여 각기 다른 표면장력과 표변특성을 지난 용액을 이용하여 Advancing Contact A Angle을 측정하고 다양한 방법으로 이를 분석하여 시료의 표면에너지를 평가하였다 그 리고 부유부상 셀내의 액상의 이온강도와 표면장력 등 화학적인 인자에 의한 부유부상 분리효과를 평가하였다.있었다 (그림 2). 칼렌다는 종이를 높은 전단력과 압축력으로 변형시키는데 비해 도침은 단순히 압축 압력만을 종이에 가하는 것이 다르다고 볼 수 있는데, 라 이너지와 백상지가 같은 조건하에서 왜 이러한 큰 차이를 보이는 이유를 아직 알수 없다.해 동일한 공정 데이터들올 이용하여 보편적으로 사용하는 통계기법 중의 하나인 주성분회귀분석을 실시하였다. 주성분 분석은 여러 개의 반응변수에 대하여 얻어진 다변량 자료의 다차원적인 변 수들을 축소, 요약하는 차원의 단순화와 더불어 서로 상관되어있는 반응변수들 상호간 의 복잡한 구조를 분석하는 기법이다. 본 발표에서는 공정 자료를 활용하여 인공신경망 과 주성분분석을 통해 공정 트러블의 발생에 영향 하는 인자들을 보다 현실적으로 추 정하고, 그 대책을 모색함으로써 이를 최소화할 수 있는 방안을 소개하고자 한다.금 빛 용사 둥과 같은 표면처리를 할 경우임의 소재 표면에 도금 및 용 사에 용이한 재료를 오버레이용접시킨 후 표면처리를 함으로써 보다 고품질의 표면층을 얻기위한 시도가 이루어지고 있다. 따라서 국내, 외의 오버레이 용접기술의 적용현황 및 대표적인 적용사례, 오버레이 용접기술 및 용접재료의 개발현황 둥을 중심으로 살펴봄으로서 아직 국내에서는 널리 알려지지 않은 본 기 술의 활용을 넓이고자 한다. within minimum time from beginning of the shutdown.및 12.36%, $101{\sim}200$일의 경우 12.78% 및 12.44%, 201일 이상의 경우 13.17% 및 11.30%로 201일 이상의 유기의 경우에만 대조구와 삭제 구간에 유의적인(p<0.05) 차이를 나타내었다.는 담수(淡水)에서 10%o의 해수(海水)로 이주된지 14일(日) 이후에 신장(腎臟)에서 수축된

Comparison of Germination Characteristics and Daily Seed Germinating Pattern in 8 New Cultivars of Perennial Ryegrass Grown under Alternative and Natural Room Temperature Conditions (자연실온 및 변온환경에서 퍼레니얼 라이그래스 신품종 8종류의 발아특성 및 일일 발아패턴 비교)

  • Research was initiated to investigate the early establishment characteristics and germination patterns of perennial ryegrass (PR, Lolium perenne L.). Eight cultivars of PR were evaluated in the study. Experiment was conducted under a room temperature condition of $6^{\circ}C$ to $23^{\circ}C$ (natural conditions). Daily and cumulative germination patterns were measured and analyzed on a daily basis. Significant differences were observed in germination pattern, days to the first germination, days to 50% germination, days to 75% germination, and germination percentage with different environments and cultivars. Germination percentage was variable with cultivars at the end of study. It was 66.25 to 93.50% under natural conditions. There were considerable variations in the early germination characteristics and germination pattern among the entries according to different conditions. The first germination was initiated between 3 and 5 DAS (days after seeding) under ISTA (International Seed Testing Association) conditions. But it started between 6 and 8 DAS under natural conditions, being 2 to 4 days later as compared with that under ISTA conditions. It was 8 to 12 DAS that reached to days to the 50% germination, which was 2 to 5 days after the first germination. Days to the 75% germination were 10.08 to 13.70 DAS under natural conditions, being 2.07 to 5.70 days slower as compared with ISTA conditions. 'Pennant II' was the fastest cultivar. But the slowest was 'Catalina II' that was 3.62 days later than 'Pennant II' under natural conditions. Considering days to the first germination, days to 75% germination, and germination pattern etc, 'Pennant II' and 'Brightstar II' were regarded as excellent cultivars under both conditions. From this study, information on differences in germination characteristics and patterns would be usefully applied for golf course design and construction, when established with PR.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate optimal condition for making marinated crabs sauce added mulberry branches(M/B), which is effective in removing smells and storing food with antibacterial function of microorganism, and present the biochemical properties, VBN, changes of microorganisms and amino acids, and sensory evaluations. pH increased along with aging process when the same amount of M/B. After 1 day of aging, salinity decreased significantly along with the added amount of M/B(p<0.001). Sweetness decreased along with the aging process. L-value decreased as the aging proceeded, so the color turned darker. a-value and b-value showed significantly high figures with 1 day aging and G4(p<0.05). VBN of G4 was lower than that of other groups, meaning the lowest level of decomposition. The samples with M/B showed lower number of microorganism than the G1 due to antibacterial function(p<0.05). Total free amino acid content was the highest in G5 and it increased along with aging process. Characteristic difference test results showed bitterness, grass flavor, and astringent flavor increased significantly as the amount of M/B increased(p<0.05). Savory taste was the highest (p<0.001). Fish flavor was the highest in the G1 and it decreased as the amount of M/B increased(p<0.001). In the preference test conducted on general consumers, flavor, taste, and general preference was statistically significant(p<0.01).

Effects of Radish Root Cultivars on the Dongchimi Fermentation (동치미 발효에 미치는 무 품종의 영향)

  • Physico-chemical and sensory characteristics of six dongchimi cultivars were evaluated. Moisture and sugar contents were 94.2% and $4.30^{\circ}Brix$ for three spring radish cultivars, while 92.9% and $7.30^{\circ}Brix$ for three autumn ones. pH $(5.7{\sim}6.1)$ and acidity $(0.09{\sim}0.12%)$ did not show significant differences among cultivars. pH decreased steadily up to 21 days to reach optimum pH of 4.0. The maximum number of total lactic acid bacteria, $10^8{\sim}10^9\;CFU/mL$, was reached at pH 4.0. The final acidity of spring radishes was lower than that of autumn ones, and was proportional to the sugar content of the radishes. The firmness of spring radish decreased rapidly compared to the autumn ones. Cheongbok was found suitable for dongchimi, because its firmness level was maintained around $165.0{\times}10^3\;N/m^2$ at 35 days. Sensory evaluation revealed 96371 among spring radishes and cheongbok among autumn radishes scored high in firmness, chewiness, flavor, and overall acceptance. These results suggest that autumn radishes are suitable for dongchimi fermentation with cheongbok being the best among the cultivars.

Changes in Growth and Productivity Characteristics by Sowing Date on Spring Sowing Rapeseed (Brassica napus L.) in Paddy Field of Southern Region of South Korea (남부지역 유채(Brassica napus L.) 논재배 봄파종 시 파종시기에 따른 생육 및 수량 특성 변화)

  • The purpose of this study was to determine the optimal sowing date for the spring sowing cultivation of rapeseed (Brassica napus L.). To determine suitable rapeseed sowing dates for spring sowing cultivation, changes in growth, flowering characteristics, and seed production were investigated in Muan, South Korea between 2019 and 2020. 'Jungmo7001' is the suitable variety for spring sowing because of its early flowering characteristics, high seed yield, and the fact that it occupies the highest cultivation area in South Korea. When the yield of 'Jungmo7001' was investigated in 2019 and 2020, the highest yields recorded were 243 kg/10a in February 28, 2019, and 294 kg/10a in February 18, 2020. As a result, the optimal rapeseed seeding period is considered to be mid-to-late February in the southern region. There was no statistically significant difference in seed crude oil content. The content of oleic acid (C18:1) decreased, but that of linoleic acid (C18:2) and of linolenic acid (C18:3) increased significantly depending on the sowing date.

Yield and Quality of Black Soybean (Glycine max L.) in Paddy Field under Different Sowing Dates (검정콩 논재배에서 파종시기가 수량 및 종실 특성에 미치는 영향)

  • Recently, Black soybean (Glycine max L. Merr.) is being cultivated in paddy fields instead of rice. However, research related to the effective sowing date is insufficient in paddy fields. This study aimed to identify the sowing date for stable cultivation of black soybean by investigating its yield and seed characteristics in a paddy field. In the study, cultivation experiment with five different sowing dates (May 25, June 10, June 25, July 10, July 25) were conducted in 2019 and 2020. Days from sowing to flowering can be shortened by delaying the sowing date. In the present study, the yield of black soybean in paddy fields was the highest with June 10 as the sowing date and was calculated as 224 kg·10a-1 and 200 kg·10a-1 in 2019 and 2020, respectively. However, the highest values of seed coat cracking was 51.1±5.1% and that of total anthocyanin contents was the 3.99±0.72 mg/g, both of which were observed in 2020 for the experiment with May 25 as the sowing date. Regression analysis showed a positive correlation (R2=0.9312) between soil water contents and seed coat cracking rate during the flowering period. Hence, the soil water contents during the flowering period would have a negative effect on the seed coat development.

A Comparative Study on the Material Element in Traditional Palaces of Korea, China, and Japan (한ㆍ중ㆍ일 궁궐건축의 재료특성 비교연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to ascertain the material design element in traditional palaces among those in the neighboring three nations of East Asia, notably Korea, China and Japan. Undoubtedly the ultimate goal to be pursued has to be inquiry into the identical prototype of Korean material design element. The cultures of East Asia, finely balanced between survival and extinction, sought to tame the natural world. They transformed its raw materials so as to more convenient human life. In this study, the material of the traditional palace is characterized by the actual use. It is to be noticed that the mainly common characteristics of the material is naturalism'. That is, the kind of material is differed from the country - marble or granite, nanmu or cypress -, the East Asian countries have similarity and make use of their own native materials. The typical features of China are glassy surface by artificial process, the meandered curve. In Japan, made-up rough surface by artificial skill. While the major features of Korean material design element are rough surface by natural process.

Illite Polytypes: The Characteristics and the Application to the Fault Age Determination (일라이트 폴리타입: 그 특성과 단층 활동연대 결정에의 활용)

  • The 1M and $2M_1$ stacking sequences are the most frequently encountered in the illite species among the possible 6 polytypes. The $1M_d$, derived from the 1M polytype which exhibits a variable degree of disorder in the stacking sequence, is also observed in illite samples. In this paper, the author introduces and reviews the theoretical background of the quantitative analysis method of illite polytypes, and considers the possibility to determine the fault age and its reactivation age using K/Ar age-dating based on the quantification of illite polytypes in the fault system. For the increase of the accuracy and precision of the illite age analysis method, the occurrence, identification, and mineralogical characterization of illite polytypes should be defined in detail. The broadening effect of (hkl) reflections, due to disordering of 1M polytype and the presence of I/S minerals with expandability, are also considered as the main parameters controlling the quantification of illite polytypes using the WILDFIRE(C)simulation.

Characteristics of Embryo Growth and Dehiscence during the After-ripening Period in Eleutherococcus senticosus (가시오가피의 종자 후숙처리시 배의 생장과 개갑 특성)

  • It has been reported that E. senticosus is effective for strengthening the liver, reduction of blood sugar levels, antistress and rainforcement of stamina. However, most of the extraction from this medicinal plant is imported from foreign countries. Therefore, farmers have tried to grow it in this country even though it is difficult to propagate by seeding method. This study was carried out to improve seeding propagation using seeds in National Honam Agricultural Experinment Station from '92 to '93. The seeds of E. senticosus were immature embryo at the time of gathering seeds in autumn, and needed wet stratification treatment for after-ripening. Embryo elongated slowly for a few days after stratification treatment, and cotyledon started to develop from 40 days after treatment. There were significantly positive correlation between after-ripening period and the ratio of embryo length. Dehiscence was the highest in the ratio of embryo length of 60∼70%, and percentage of dehiscent seed after treatment for 150 days was 76.5%.

Quality of Licorice (Glycyrrhiza uralensis) Powder Added Kimchi (감초분말첨가 김치의 품질)

  • Effects of licorice (Glycyrrhiza uralensis) powder as sugar substitute on kimchi quality was evaluated by investigating acid formation, lactic acid bacteria growth, and sensory properties of licorice powder added kimchi. Initial pH of licorice powder added kimchi unripened and ripened for one day did not differ from those of other samples, but slightly increased thereafter 2-3 days ripening. Acidities of unripened and kimchi ripened for 1 day significantly increased by addition of licorice powder, while that of kimchi ripened for 2-3 days significantly decreased (p<0.05). Addition of licorice powder had no significant effect on lactic acid bacteria count of kimchi compared to sugar. Overall acceptability and taste of 0.1 and 0.2% licorice powder-added kimchi ripened for 1-3 days were similar to or slightly higher than those of reference sample, whereas addition of 1.0% licorice powder resulted in lowest overall acceptability, taste, odor, and texture. Licorice powder addition generally did not change color of kimchi.
