The purpose of this study was to obtain the relationship between life styles and obesity indices, and to investigate the influence of life styles on obesity indices among adults who examined health checkup in an university hospital. The subjects for this study were 4,112 adults who underwent medical examinations at a health center of a university hospital in Daejeon city from Jan 2012 to Dec 2013. We surveyed the life styles and obesity indices of study subjects from self-recorded questionnaires and medical examination charts after confirmed IRB of the hospital. As a results, the levels of obesity indices of subjects was closely correlated with increasing age, and life styles as alcohol drinking, smoking, regular exercise, overeating, meat consumption. The influence of life styles on obesity indices was incident in female than in male. And the main risk factors were regular exercise factor in obesity indices in both sex.
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects of proprioceptive exercise on walking velocity, activities of daily living(ADL) and depression in elderly women. This study was nonequivalent control group pre-post test design. Subjects were divided into two group(exercise group=17, control group=15). Experimental group conducted proprioceptive exercise program for eight-week. Walking velocity was assessed by 10m-walk test and depression and ADL were assessed by questionnaire. The collected data analyzed by Wilcoxon singed rank test and Mann-Whitney U test. The exercise group significantly improved walking velocity. But control group changes were negligible. The program was effective on walking in elderly women.
This work has performed to find what activities of daily living are required for the intensive interests when inpatient elderly more than 3 months has been supported and convalescent care, where the inpatient elderly were judged by the inpatient assessment report in the time of December, 2013. According to the estimation with logistic function of the relationship between the state of decision making recognition technology and the Activities of Daily Living(ADL), the intensive cares for the elderly are required in the parameters of 'Having meal' and 'transferring sitting' when they are severed and convalescently cared as the degree of functional independence for ADL are severly proceeded. In addition, the senescence and disease the activities except 'Having meal' and 'transferring sitting' seem to be influenced by the decline of body function more than the state of decision making recognition technology for daily living.

The purpose of this study is to present a more effective daily checklist than the formal routine check before the experiment to prevent accidents in the university laboratory. To do this, we reconstructed the current daily checklist and previous research data and conducted a second Delphi survey. As a result, there were four general safeties such as arranging the laboratory, three mechanical safeties such as abnormal condition of machine and tool tightening parts, three electric safeties such as prohibition of loading around the electric distribution panel, six chemical safeties such as handling and managing harmful factors, three items of fire safety such as fire extinguisher inspection, five cases of gas safety gas container inspection, one item of biological safety such as the state of hand sterilizer management and one other item, which were provided in the daily checklist as twenty six categories in total. According to the opinions of related experts, it is necessary to have an easy and simplified daily checklist for actual daily checkups.

Objectives: The purpose of this study was to identify and relationships among quality of life, perceived health status, pain and difficulty of daily activity with degenerative arthritis living in island residents. Methods: The participants were 601 degenerative arthritis patients. Data were collected using structured questionnaires from June 23th to Oct. 08th, 2008 and analyzed using the SPSS 12.0 program. and it included descriptive statistics, t-test, $x^2$-test, Pearson correlation coefficient. Results: The mean quality of life score was 115.87, perceived health status was 4.40, pain was 6.31 and difficulty of daily activity was 77.62. On the demographic variables, age, living arrangement, level of economics showed significant difference for the quality of life and sex and age showed significant difference for the perceived health status, pain, difficulty of daily activity. On the disease-related variables, duration of disease, use of analgesic drug showed significant difference for the dependent variables. There was a significant positive correlation among the quality of life, perceived health status, significant negative correlation pain and difficulty of daily activity. Conclusions: These results suggested that nursing intervention program including pain reduction, enhancing the perceived health status, ADL abilities and quality of life were necessary for the osteoarthritis patients in island residents.
The purpose of this study is to investigate daily lives of the intellectually disabled living in residential facilities. The daily time use method that monitors and records 24 hours of the subject was used for the analysis of daily lives of the institutionalized disabled and verbal interaction patterns within each facility. In particular, the analysis focused on 'frequency of activities' and 'lives', with the method of time budget. Based on the activity category table of the 2004 nationwide Time Use Survey, the analysis aimed to identify differences and similarities between the non-disabled and the disabled in terms of daily time use. The interaction pattern analysis method on grounds of the Flanders Category system(1963) indicates the level, the type, and the full details of interaction between the institutionalized disabled and the living rehabilitation teachers. This study is all the more significant in that it monitored the daily lives of the institutionalized disabled for the first time to allow in-depth understanding about the daily lives of the disabled; analyzed interaction patterns between the institutionalized disabled and living rehabilitation teachers; applied time budget study method, a frequently used one in adjacent fields, and therefore should serve as a valuable source material for future studies.
The purpose of this study is to search for values and meanings of everydayness as a design concept by organizing concepts of 'everydayness' shown in contemporary architecture and systematically describing its characteristics through various analysis methods. 'Eerydayness' shown in contemporary architecture is defined and the criteria of case study are suggested, so that characteristics of everyday can be identified by systematically classifying and analyzing the Japanese cases in order to find the values and meanings of everydayness. The findings of this study are as follows: first, materials that show users' everydayness has indefinite potential as an element of architecture concept, and they play the role of communication and sympathy between architecture and users; second, implementation of everydayness leads to design emergence; third, everydayness can be widely applied to architecture; fourth, everydayness can be implemented regardless of architecture uses. In conclusion, the value of everydayness in contemporary architecture is that it draws user-based diverse and fresh architectural expressions that lead to opulent designs. To users, everydayness improves satisfaction of life gained from architecture and provides rich life environment because it changed common human life to a form of art.
Modern architecture tends to split the everyday life and the space of human. Position of architecture should be on the relationship between nature and human need. It will be study on the everyday life of architecture from architecture and everyday life of human relationships. Based on this study, it makes clear the visual aspects of architectural experience to acquire spatial tones for analyzing architectural Everyday-ness. In this case, Portugal's modern architectural space was impressing, because of the construction of local color and architectural vocabulary of the Everyday-ness. Therefore, the Everyday-ness of Architecture by relationship analysis reveals the space of these spatial tones. Spatial characteristics of the Everyday-ness of architecture be analyzed of simplicity, purity, locality, reminiscent, continuity, and transition, etc. Expression elements of spatial tones can be derived into five classes such as light, color, material, pattern (texture), and depth. In conclusion, spatial characteristics of the Everyday-ness and expression elements of spatial tones consist of configuration matrixes to analyze the spatial tones of the contemporary architecture in Portugal. As a result of this study, the expression characteristics of spatial tones of contemporary architecture in Portugal are background-ness, one-ness, and inherence. I hope this study will be applied to the basic data of the architectural Everyday-ness.
