National preference enables a nation to achieve more advantageous position regarding international relations. Considering this benefit, the purpose of this study is to explore determinants of national preference between Korean and Japanese college students. To pursue this aim, two versions (translated to Korean and Japanese) of survey were conducted in Korea and Japan in 2015. A total of 370 (206 of Koreans and 164 of Japanese) college students were participated in the survey. Specifically, participants were asked to respond perceptions toward multiculturalism, international experiences, and consumption of media contents. Further, participants were asked to describe their knowledge and perception toward cultural contents of partnered country via open-ended questions. The results implies that Japanese music and books are significant determinants among Korean students in developing national preference toward Japan whereas Koran drama is more an effective factor among Japanese students to build national preference toward Korea. Based on the result, theoretical and practical implications were discussed.

In this research, Collectivism's influence on Japanese employee's volunteerism in IT Multinational Enterpise (MNE) was investigated with empathy mediating. Previous research on Hofstede's cultural dimensions were mostly conducted at national levels. However, in this study, Yoo's Cultural value Scale (CVSCALE) was used to analyze colletivistic tenedencies at individual levels and its influence on volunteerism. A total of 220 self-administering online surveys were distributed to IT MNE employees in Tokyo, Japan for three weeks period. 160 usable surveys were collected and analyzed with SPSS 21.0. Findings indicate collectivism positively influenced volunteerism in individuals with empathy as possible antecent of volunteerism. In conclusion and application, the significance of this research lies in indicating collectivism's positive influence on volunteerism and empathy as possible antecedents of volunteerism in Japanese employees even though Japan has displayed stronger individualism than the rest of East Asian neighbors.

우리나라의 건축사제도나 건축법 그리고 건축관련 교육제도 등이 일본의 그것과 유사하거나 깊은 관련이 있음을 부정할 수 없다. 이는 건축 초기 법제정과정에서 일본의 건축제도를 참고할 수 밖에 없었던데도 원인이 있겠으나 같은 동양문화권으로서 역사나 문화가 유사한 것과도 깊은 관계가 있다고 볼 수 있다. 그러나 같은 동양문화권이면서도 중국은 이미 건축가인증제도나 교육제도 등의 정비에 있어 구미식 모델, 특히 AIA의 제도를 도입하는 등 세계화에 따른 시장개방에 적극 대처하고 있는데 반하여 우리나라와 일본은 이에 크게 뒤지고 있는 듯한 감이 있다. 오는 4월 16일부터 19일까지 제주도 서귀포에서 열리는 동북아3국 건축사협의회에서는 시장개방 대응과 건축사자격상호인증 등을 주의제로 다루게 된다. 따라서 이러한 때에 우리와 제도적으로 매우 흡사한 일본의 건축관계 현황을 알고, 그것을 타산지석으로 삼아 앞으로의 대안을 수립하는데 참고가 되기를 바라는 뜻에서 일본의 건축계와 관련된 여러 가지 자료들을 소개하고자 한다.

This study have been reviewed Korea's railway system and railway cultural heritage status and suggested several solutions as a recognition of the importance of cultural property and development of the railway train had developed. Through the analysis of Japan's excellent conditions of a conservation and management of cultural heritage railway system, we would like to offer a direction of Korea's future heritage railway system. There were many changes during the time of a government owned railroad and the time after privatization in Japan by starting from administrating a systematic cultural railway at an institution that directly operates and constructs the railway train, which would be the point Korea need to approach considerately. Therefore, in this study, we would like to compare and analyse cultural heritage railway system between Japan and Korea and propose advanced solution for Korea's preservation of the Railway Heritage in the future.

일본국제종합인쇄기자재전 JGAS 2013이 지난 10월 2일부터 5일까지 나흘 간 약 3만1000 여명의 관람객이 참가한 가운데 막을 내렸다. 국내에서도 한국후지제록스를 비롯한 다양한 프린팅 기업들이 일본 동경을 방문해 일본 및 전 세계 인쇄 시장의 트렌드를 공유하고 새로운 인쇄기기와 솔루션을 경험해보는 시간을 가졌다.

본지에서는 이번호부터 일본의 의료제도와 병원경영에 대한 연재를 시작하고자 한다. 일본의 의료제도나 병원운영에 대하여 잘 알려진 것 같으나 막상 그 실체에 대하여 정확한 지식이 부족한 실정에서 우리나라의 의료에 직.간접으로 많은 영향을 주고 있는 일본의 의료제도의 전반에 대한 소개와 함께 현장에서 접한 일본병원계의 실상에 대한 상세한 정보는 우리 병원계에도 많은 참고가 되리라 믿는다. 연재를 맡아줄 남상요교수는 연세대학교 보건대학원을 졸업하고 1988년 도일하여 1993년 일본동경대학교에서 보건학 박사학위를 마친 후 동경대학교 보건관리 학교실 객원 연구원, 병원 종합컨설팅회사인 일본ITEC(주)연구원을 거쳐 1994년 귀국하여 현재 유한전문대학 의무행정과 교수로 재직하고 있다. 전공은 병원행정으로써 약 6년간 일본생활 중 일본 전국의 병원 및 의료관련 기관들을 방문하여 병원 운영에 관한 조사와 컨설팅업무에도 관여하였다. 의료료란 결국 한나라의 문화의 반영이라는 관점에서 직접 일본에서 생활하면서 느꼈던 의료를 포함한 사회,문화에 관한 기술은 독자 여러분의 흥미와 더불어 유익한 정보를 제공해 주리라 믿는다

최근 시장개방과 더불어 각종 문화매체의 통한 문화교류와 급속도로 증가하고 있는 인터넷 이용은 현대사회의 대중문화의 글로벌화를 만들어 현대인의 가치관에 큰 변화를 주고 있다. 특히 20세기 이전까지 전통적인 사회를 고수하고 있던 비서구권의 문화가 보다 서구적이며 비전통적으로 변화되어 가고 있다(Featherstone, 1990). 1988년의 이미 Triandis 등의 연구자들은 일본문화에 대한 연구에서 일본인들의 가치관이 전통적인 집단주의 측면보다 서구적인 개인주의 측면이 보다 강하게 나타나기 시작한다고 보고하였다. (중략)
