  • 지금까지는 주로 대기질 기준을 근거로 24시간 평균 TSP(total suspended particulates), PM$_{10}$, PM$_{2.5}$를 측정하여 왔다. 대기 에어로졸의 농도나 입경분포에 영향을 미치는 배출량, 기온, 상대습도, 풍향, 풍속, 혼합고 등이 12~24시간 이내의 스케일로 변한다(Shen et al., 2002). 그러므로, 대기 에어로졸의 일변화 특성을 파악하기 위하여 실험실에서 사용되던 실시간 에어로졸 입경분포 측정기가 대기 에어로졸 모니터링에 활용되고 있으며(배귀남 등, 2003; Woo et at., 2001; Laitinen et al., 1996), 최근에는 대기 에어로졸을 모니터링을 목적으로 개발된 제품이 시판되고 있다.(중략)략)

Characteristics of Photosynthesis with Growing Stages by different Shading Materials in Panax Ginseng C. A. Meyer (차광재료에 따른 생육시기별 인삼의 광합성작용의 특성)

  • To investigate the influence of shading materials with growing stages in Panax Ginseng C. A. Meyer, the diurnal change of photosynthesis, stomatal conductance, transpiration and its any correlation were measured. The net photosynthetic rate and stomatal conductance of ginseng were higher in the morning than in the broad day. The net photosynthetic rate was increased as the PAR (Photosynthetically Action Radiation) was increased and it was reached the maximum at the $200\;{\mu}mol/m^2/s$ of PAR in overall leaves. Transpiration rate was increased in the afternoon compared to in the morning. The transpiration rate was higher in rain shelter shading plate than in polyethylene net. A linear equation was obtained between net photosynthetic rate and stomatal conductance in the morning. SPAD was higher in rain shelter shading plate than in polyethylene net through all growth stages. It may result from the decrease of growth progress. From investigating photosynthetic characteristics, we concluded that shading plate of rain shelter was more an efficient material to ginseng growth.

Effects of No-Tillage and Split Irrigation on the growth of Pepper Organically Cultivated under Plastic Film Greenhouse Condition (무경운과 분할관수가 시설 유기재배 고추 생육에 미치는 영향)

  • This study was carried out to investigate the effect of no-tillage and split irrigation on the growth of pepper plant under green house condition in Jeonnam province. Moisture content of soil at whole quantity irrigation in tillage was increased rapidly regardless of soil depth for initial irrigation and then was decreased continuously until next irrigation. Deviation of moisture content in soil was decreased with increasing depth of soil. Moisture contents of top soil and subsoil (20 cm) at whole quantity irrigation in no-tillage were increased with sunrise, and then decreased with sunset. Moisture contents of top soil in tillage, and top soil and subsoil (20 cm) in no-tillage at half quantity irrigation indicated a cyclic diurnal variation by evapotranspiration. Salinity of soil was increased after initial irrigation and then was decreased continuously until next irrigation. With increasing depth of soil, increases of salinity in soil was delayed. Salinity of top soil in no-tillage was increased between AM 11:00 and AM 12:00, and then showed the highest level between PM 2:00 and PM 6:00 on a cyclic diurnal variation by evapotranspiration. Salinity of subsoil (30 cm) in no-tillage was not measured a cyclic diurnal variation. Moisture content and salinity of soil was positive correlation regardless of tillage and no-tillage cultivation. Growth of pepper in no-tillage cultivation was higher than that in tillage cultivation. Main branch Length and stem diameter of half quantity irrigation plot was higher than that of whole quantity irrigation plot regardless of tillage and no-tillage cultivation. After harvesting, the number of pepper fruits of half quantity irrigation plot was increased remarkably by 49% and 47%, in tillage and no-tillage cultivation, respectively. Pepper yield of no-tillage cultivation plot was higher by 8% than that of tillage cultivation plot. Pepper yield of half quantity irrigation plot was increased remarkably by 36% and 39%, in tillage and no-tillage cultivation, respectively.

Effect of Feeding with High γ-Aminobutyric Acid (GABA) Containing Giant Embryo Black Sticky Rice (Oryza sativa L.) on Alcohol Intake in C57BL/6 Mice (GABA 고함유 흑찰거대배아미의 투여가 C57BL/6형 생쥐의 알코올 섭취량에 미치는 영향)

  • It is known that black sticky rice with giant embryo (BSRGB, Milyang 263) and giant embryo rice (GER) contains higher levels of GABA than rice. Therefore, feeding BSRGB, GER, or rice freely to C57BL/6 mice with two-hour alcohol intake for 16 days was investigated. For two-hour alcohol intake, a repeated measure ANOVA (three treatment groups repeated across 16 days; 8 two-day blocks) yielded a significant group by block interaction (df=16, F=3.109, p=0.004). The independent t-test showed that significant suppression of two-hour alcohol intake was observed when subjects were administered with BSRGB, compared with the rice alone across all the two-day blocks (p<0.05). The paired t-test revealed that a significant suppression of two-hour alcohol intake was observed starting 4 to 16 days after freely feeding with BSRGB compared to before feeding. However, there is no significant difference in the two-hour alcohol intake observed between the before and after administration of rice. A repeated measure ANOVA revealed no significant group by block interaction for 22-hour water intake and body weight. However, a repeated measure ANOVA revealed a significant grouping by block interaction for food intake. These results indicate a change of two-hour alcohol intake is presumably caused by GABA, which is found in higher levels in BSRGB than in rice.

Characteristics of Diurnal Variation of High PM2.5 Concentration by Spatio-Temporal Wind System in Busan, Korea (시·공간적 풍계에 따른 부산지역 고농도 PM2.5의 일변화 특성)

  • This study was to analyze the characteristics of diurnal variation of high $PM_{2.5}$ concentration, $PM_{2.5}/PM_{10}$ concentration ratio by spatio-temporal wind system (wind speed and wind direction) for high $PM_{2.5}$ concentration (over the 24 hr environmental standard of $PM_{2.5}$, $50{\mu}g/m^3$) in the air quality observation sites (Jangrimdong: Industrial area, Jwadong: Residential area) that were measured for 3 years (2005. 12. 1-2008. 11. 30) in Busan. The observation days of high $PM_{2.5}$ concentration were 182 at Jangrimdong and 27 at Jwadong. The seasonal diurnal variation of hourly mean of high $PM_{2.5}$ concentration and of $PM_{2.5}/PM_{10}$ concentration ratio showed a similar pattern that had higher variation at dawn, and night and in the morning than in the afternoon. Durning daytime in summer at Jwadong, the $PM_{2.5}/PM_{10}$ concentration ratio increased because a secondary particulate matter, which was created by photochemical reaction, decreased the coarse particles of $PM_{10}$ more than the fine particles of $PM_{2.5}$ concentrations in ocean condition. We did an analysis of spatio-temporal wind system (wind speed range and wind direction) in each time zone. The result showed that high $PM_{2.5}$ concentration at Jangrimdong occurred due to the congestion of pollutants emissions from the industrial complex in Jangrimdong area and the transportation of pollutants from places nearby Jangrimdong. It also showed that high $PM_{2.5}$ concentration occurred at Jwadong because of a number of local residential and commercial activities that caused the congestion of pollutants.

Screening of Vitality Indicators from Four Subtropical Plant Species by Chlorophyll Fluorescence Analysis (엽록소형광을 이용한 아열대성 식물 4종의 활력도 지표 검색)

  • 아열대성 식물 4종 (문주란, Crinum asiaticum var. japonicum; 박달목서, Osmanthus insularis; 죽절초, Chloranthus glaber; 파초일엽, Asplenium antiquum)을 대상으로 자연 환경요인의 변화에 따른 엽록소형광을 분석하여 이들 식물의 활력도를 검토하였다. 여름철 일변화에 있어서 양지에 자라는 문주란과 박달목서는 Fv/Fm이 새벽과 밤에는 0.80~0.83 범위의 높은 값을 보이지만, 낮시간에는 0.65~0.73으로 낮았다. 1-qN과 1-qP도 낮시간에 크게 낮아졌다. 음지에 자라는 죽절초와 파초일엽의 Fv/Fm은 높아서 0.83~0.85 범위를 유지하였으며 일변화적 특성은 관찰되지 않았다. 1-qP의 변화는 거의 관찰되지 않았으나 1-qN이 낮시간에 다소 감소하는 경향을 보여주었다. 죽절초와 파초일엽에서는 광억제가 거의 일어나지 않으나 문주란과 박달목서에서는 낮시간의 고광에 의한 광억제가 나타난다. 하지만 여기에너지의 일부를 열의 형태로 방출하여 광피해를 완화시키고 있는 것으로 보인다. 겨울철에는 Fv/Fm이 모든 종에서 0.8 이하의 값을 나타내었는데, 특히 문주란의 Fv/Fm 값은 다른 3종 보다 더 낮았다. 그리고 모든 종에서 일변화적인 특성은 관찰되지 않았다. 문주란의 1-qN은 낮시간에 다소 감소하였지만, 나머지 3종의 식물은 높은 값을 나타내었다. 그리고 l-qP는 문주란과 박달목서에서는 낮시간에 0.6 범위로 낮아졌다. 이는 종에 따라 차이가 있지만 겨울철 저온의 영향을 받은 결과로 보인다. 한편, 여름철 문주란과 박달목서의 O-J-I-P곡선은 거의 유사하며 낮에 뚜렷하게 낮았고, 죽절초와 파초일엽에서는 일변화적 특성은 두드러지지 않았다. 그리고 P $I_{NO}$ 와 SF $I_{NO}$ 가 죽절초를 제외한 3종에서 여름철 낮시간에 증가하였다. 겨울철의 O-J-I-P곡선은 모든 종에서 낮시간에 다소 낮아지지만 큰 변화는 없었다. 그리고, 문주란, 박달목서, 파초일엽에서 $\psi$o/(1-$\psi$o)가 낮시간에 다소 증가하였다. 이로부터 P $I_{NO}$ , SF $I_{NO}$ , $\psi$o/(1-$\psi$o)등의 변수는 식물의 활력도를 검정하는 지표로 활용될 가능성이 높다고 할 수 있다.

A Study on Characteristics of Crassulacean Acid Metablism in Leaves and Stems of Portulaca oleracea L. (쇠비름(Portulaca oleracea L.)에 있어서 잎과 줄기의 돌나물 과형 유기산대사(CAM)의 비교)

  • Diurnal acid fluctuations, stomatal resistance, and morphology and anatomy were investigated in leaves and stems P. oleracea L. growing under the natural environmental condition. A CAM-like pattern of acid fluctuation was exhibited not in leaves of the young purslane but in its stems. Defoliated stems showed a decreased in diurnal changes of total acidity as compared with normal stems. Excised stems stored in continuous darkness exhibited diurnal acid rhythms, and they showed light deacidifications for three days. Kranz-type arrangement was observed in leaves, but not in stems. Micrography of cross sections of stems showed cells with relatively large vaculoles and a few chloroplasts. The number of stomata was 3,275cm-2 in leaves, while the stomata could not be observed in stems. Stomatal resistance was high at night and low in daytime in leaves of the young purslane, and the range of its value was 5~40 sec.$\textrm{cm}^{-1}$. But stomatal resistance in leaves of the water-stressed plant was comparratively high in day time, and its value was 30 sec.$\textrm{cm}^{-1}$. The result of these studies showed the possibility that the stem of P.oleracea L. possesses CAM under certain stressed conditions.

  • 연안도시의 경우 해양 배경농도의 영향과 내륙과 비교해 강한 풍속조건이 형성됨으로 오존농도의 일변화 폭이 적으며 야간에 농도상승 현상이 빈번히 나타난다. 또한 일반적으로 여름철 주로 발생하는 해풍에 의해 고농도를 경험하게 되는데, 이는 해풍역전으로 인한 연직혼합의 억제와 (Lu and Turco, 1994) 해풍전선의 이동 (McElroy and Smith, 1991), 해풍의 내륙침투 시 생기는 Fumigation 효과(Entwistle, et al., 1997; Zhang et al., 1998) 등으로 설명되어 진다. 아울러 해륙풍순환으로 생기는 오전의 대기정체현상은 오후의 오존의 광화학 생성과 축적에 기여하게 되며 (Liu et al., 1994), 해풍 발달 시에는 오존 및 전구물질이 내륙 수송되어 풍하측 지역에 고농도가 나타나게 된다(Zhang et al., 1998).
