Development of Fabrication Method for Translucent Concrete and the Material Characteristics Associated with the Use of Mineral Admixture (반투명 콘크리트의 제조기법 개발과 무기혼화재 혼입에 따른 역학적 특성)

  • As recent concrete products changed to pursue high class, high quality, and high strength, as translucent concrete was developed to meet esthetic effects and exhibition purpose of structures. This study aims at introducing fabrication methods of various shapes of translucent concrete and evaluating feasibility of using mineral admixture such as fly ash, ground granulated blast furnace slag and granulated glass throughout experimental tests. As the result, it was found that compressive strength of translucent concrete block at 28 days is 32.2MPa and higher elastic modulus and Poisson's ratio than ordinary concrete block, which means that translucent concrete is widely applicable to structural purpose. Application of fly ash as a replacement of cement showed lower strength of 85 to 96% than Portland cement. In the meanwhile, ground granulated blast furnace slag showed 82 to 96% depending on the amount of replacement. The use of granulated glass as replacement of optical fiber was not applicable due to invisibility of light in concrete.

복분자 열매의 화학성분 및 휘발성 향기성분

  • 최근 복분자(산딸기)의 효능을 이용한 일반식품 및 기능성 식품 등의 제품 개발이 활발히 추진되고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 식품차원의 연구분야 일환으로서 먼저 복분자의 일반성분, 유리당, 유리아미노산, 무기성분 및 향기성분 등을 보고한 후 앞으로 생리 활성 연구 분야에 초점을 두고 연구를 진행할 하여 학문적 자료 및 산업에 응용할시 기초자료로 활용하고자 한다. 복분자의 수분은 5.39%, 총당은 17.3%, 환원당은 8.6%, 조단백질 10.6%, 조회분은 4.5%, 조지방은1.7%, 조섬유는 3.9%이고, 유리당 함량은 sucrose 1.52%, fructose 3.98%, glucose 1.24%이고, 유기산 함량은 citric acid 10.2%, oxalic acid 6.29%로 가장 많이 함유하고 있었고, 그 다음은 malic acid 1.94%였다. 총 아미노산은 7914.1mg%이고, 필수아미노산 함량은 2622.5mg%로 나타났다. 복분자에 가장 많이 함유되어 있는 아미노산은 aspartic acid 1260.3%, 그 다음은 glutamic acid 1054.3% 순으로 함유하고 있었다. 무기성분 K가 387mg으로 가장 많이 함유되어 있었고, 복분자에서 총 52종의 성분이 화인되었는데 확인된 성분들은 관능기별로 분류하면 amylalcohol를 포함한 alcohol류 11종, valeric acid를 포함한 acid류 13종, hexanal를 포함한 carbonyl류 20종, 2-heptanone를 포함한 hydrocabon류 5종 그리고 methyl palmitate를 포함한 ester류가 3종 이었다. 관능기별로 확인된 성분들의 총 peak area%를 살펴보면 alcohol류 11.56%, acid류 38.87%, hydrocarbon류 2.89%, ester류 0.80%, 총 70.32%가 확인되었다. Alcohol류에서 linalool가 3.78%, acid류에서는 caproic acid류가 14.40%, carbonyl류에서 2-hydroxy-4-methoxyacetophenone이 2.99%, hydrocabon류에서는 aromadendrene가1.59% 그리고 ester류에서는 methyl palmitate가 0.43%으로 가장 많이 함유하고 있었다.

Analysis of Components of Angelica dahurica Leaves (구릿대(Angelica dahurica) 잎의 유용성분 분석)

  • This study analyzed the sugar, amino acid, and mineral content of Angelica dahurica leaves to explore the physiology of the plant and to examine whether the loaves might be useful in food production. A. dahurica leaves contained moisture 76.30%, carbohydrate 7.58%, crude protein 4.01% crude ash 7.87% and 4.23% crude fat (all w/w). The content of reducing sugar in leaf was 1,687.10 mg/100 g. The total amount of free sugar was 57.30 mg/100 g, including 24.75 mg/100 g fructose, 23.95 mg/100g glucose, and 8.60 mg/100 g maltose. Total hydrolyzed amino acids were 139.25 mg/100 g. Total free amino acids were 215.99 mg/100 g, and that of alanine (61.52 mg/100 g) was highest. Total amino acid derivatives were 101.39 mg/100 g, and, of these materials ${\gamma}-aminoisobutyric$ acid was highest at 78.26 mg/100 g. In the When minerals were analyzed, the content of K was the highest (2,135.03 mg/100 g), followed by 916.47 mg/100 g for Ca.

Development of a Lightweight Construction Material Using Hollow Glass Microspheres (중공 유리 마이크로스피어를 활용한 경량 소재 개발)

  • Concrete is the most widely used construction material. The heavy self-weight of concrete may offer an advantage when developing high compressive strength and good dimensional stability. However, it is limited in the construction of super-long bridges or very high skyscrapers owing to the substantially increased self-weight of the structure. For developing lightweight concrete, various lightweight aggregates have typically been utilized. However, due to the porous characteristics of lightweight aggregates, the strength at the composite level is generally decreased. To overcome this intrinsic limitation, this study aims to develop a construction material that satisfies both lightweight and high strength requirements. The developed cementitious composite was manufactured based on a high volume usage of hollow glass microspheres in a matrix with a low water-to-cement ratio. Regardless of the tested hollow glass microspheres from among four different types, compressive strength outcomes of more than 60 MPa and 80 MPa with a density of 1.7 g/cm3 were experimentally confirmed under ambient and high-temperature curing, respectively.

Manufacture of Nutritionally Balanced 'Sunsik' for the Moderns: Its Quality Characteristics (현대인을 위한 기능성 영양균형선식의 제조와 품질)

  • This study was conducted to investigate the quality characteristics of functional 'sunsik' as the nutritionally balanced diet for the moderns. The major nutrient of nutritionally balanced 'sunsik' was carbohydrate, while contained lower contents of protein and lipid than general 'sunsik'. Sucrose was the major free sugar of nutritionally balanced 'sunsik', and major organic acids were malic, tartaric, oxalic and citric acid. Free amino acids were predominantly serine, arginine, alanine and glutamic acid. Linolenic acid $(12.52\%)$ was contained in the nutritionally balanced 'sunsik'. Ca, Mg, K, Na and Fe were found as major minerals. Antioxidant activity was about $29\%$ compared to BHA and BHT(200 ppm), and about $40\%$ of $\alpha-tocopherol$(400 ppm). Sensory evaluation of nutritional balanced 'sunsik' gained higher sensory score in color, cooked aroma, flavor, chewiness and overall acceptance, compared to the general 'sunsik'.

Proximate, Sugar and Amino Acid Compositions of Dolsan Leaf Mustard(Brassica juncea) (돌산 갓의 일반성분, 당 및 아미노산 조성)

  • To furnish basic data for the utilization of leaf mustard as a raw material of salted and fermented vegetable food, major chemical compositions of Dolsan Leaf Mustard (DLM) were investigated. The moisture and ash contents of DLM were 87.5% and 1.4%, respectively. Compared with other Korean traditional or Japanese leaf mustard, DIM contained more crude protein (3.8%) but less crude fat (0.3%) and crude fiber (1.3%). As an alkali food, leaf and leat stalk had pH of 5.7 and 5.8, titratable acidity of 687 and 318mg/100g and alkalinity of 2.5 and 5.2, respectively. The major free sugar in DLM was glucose and fructose was also detected in a small amount. The contents of total and reducing sugar in leaf and leaf stalk were 574, 352, 820 and 538mg%, respectively. Total amino acid contents of leaf and leaf stalk were 8.0 and 2.5% on wet basis. Although the amino acid compositions of leaf and leaf stalk were different each other, glutamic acid and proline were the major amino acids in both of the leaf and leaf stalk. Significantly higher amount (ca.10.3-fold) of free amino acid was present in leaf (3074mg%) than in leaf stalk (298mg%). Glutamic acid and aspartic acid were the major free amino acids and essential amino acid contents in leaf and leaf stalk were 869 and 68mg% being 22.9 and 28.3% of total free amino acids.

Change in the Polyphenol Content of Cheongdobansi Persimmon Fruit during Development ('청도반시' 과실의 성장 중 일반 및 폴리페놀 성분의 변화)

  • The proximate composition, and the levels of total phenols, phenolic acids, and DPPH radical scavenging activity in Cheongdobansi persimmon fruits assayed during development (from July to October), were investigated. All of moisture, crude protein and crude fiber contents decreased as picking time was delayed, however, crude fat content rose. Crude fiber content increased after September. Total phenol content tended to fall during development. The principal phenolic acids were chlorogenic acid, caffeic acid, p-coumaric acid and salicylic acid; the level of each phenolic acid tended to decrease during development. DPPH radical scavenging activity fell as picking time was delayed. Thus, harvest time influenced the levels of chemical components and the antioxidative properties of persimmon fruit. It follows that unripe fruit may be utilized as a raw material yielding many useful products.

Approximate Composition and Physicochemical Properties of Plum (Prunus Salicina) (국내산 자두 주요 품종의 일반성분 및 이화학적 성분 특성)

  • Approximate composition and physicochemical properties of 2 cultivars of plum (P. salicina), Humoosa and Daeseok, were examined. The contents of crude fat and N-free extract were different between 2 cultivars. Total mineral contents of Humoosa and Daeseok were 30.00 and 17.99% respectively, and S, K and Mg were major minerals in both cultivars. Humoosa has higher contents of fructose whereas Daeseok has higher contents of sucrose. Major organic acid in flesh was malic acid. While citric acid was major organic acid in the peel of Humoosa, malic acid was major in the peel of Daeseok. Glutamic acid, alanine and ${\gamma}-aminoisobutyric$ acid were major free amino acid in both cultivars and their total contents were about the same.

  • 탄소나노튜브는 큰 길이 대 직경 비와 뛰어난 전기적 특성으로 인해 차세대 전계 방출 소자로 주목 받고 있다. 실질적인 전계방출 디스플레이로의 응용을 위한 대면적 제작과 유리 기판 사용을 위해 이용되었던 페이스트(paste)법은 높은 전기장 하에서 장시간 전계방출시 탄소나노튜브 전계방출원과 페이스트(paste)간의 낮은 접착력 때문에 발생하는 탄소나노튜브의 탈루현상(omission)과 유기물질(organic paste)에서 발생하는 탈기체(out-gassing) 문제점이 있었다. 최근 이런 문제점을 개선하기 위해 유기물질(organic paste)를 대체하여 금속바인더(metal binder) 물질을 사용한 결과들이 보고되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 유리기판 위에 제작된 탄소나노튜브 전계방출원의 수명 향상을 위하여 금속바인더와 후속 열처리법의 변화에 따른 전계방출 안정성을 분석하였다. 금속바인더는 접합층/ 접착층(soldering layer/ adhesive layer)으로 구성되어 있으며, 일반적인 소다석회유리(soda-lime glass)에 스퍼터(DC magnetron sputtering system)를 이용하여 증착하였다. 접착층은 유리기판과 접합층의 접착력 향상을 위해 사용되며, 접합층은 기판과 탄소나노튜브 전계방출원을 접합하는 역할과 전계방출 측정시 전극이 되기 때문에 우수한 전기 전도성과 내산화성을 필요로 한다. 본 실험에서는 일반적으로 유리기판과 접착력이 좋다고 알려진 Cr, Ti, Ni, Mo을 접착층으로 사용하였으며, 접합성과 전기전도성, 내산화성이 뛰어난 귀금속 계열의 금속을 접합층으로 사용하였다. 탄소나노튜브를 1,2-디클로로에탄(1,2-dichloroethane, DCE)에 분산시킨 용액을 스프레이방법을 이용하여 증착시켰으며, 후속 열처리 방법을 통하여 접합층과 결합시켰다. 금속바인더와 후속 열처리법의 변화에 따른 접착력과 표면형상(morphology)의 변화를 주사전자현미경(scanning electron microscopy)를 이용하여 분석하였으며, 다이오드 타입에 디씨 바이어스(DC bias)를 사용하여 전계방출특성을 측정하였다[1,2].

Preparation of Onion Hydrolysates with Enzyme (효소에 의한 양파가수분해액의 제조)

  • The changes in chemical constituents of onion in Korea and the degree of hydrolysis in onion by-drolysates by treatment of viscozyme L, celluclast 1.5L, pectinex and cereflo were investigated. Proximate compositions of onion in Korea were as follows; The contents of moisture, protein, lipid, carbohydrate and ash were 89~90%, 1.8~1.9%, 0.4~0.5%, 7.1~8.5% and 0.3~0.5%, respectively. Major free sugars were identified to be glucose, fructose and sucrose and major free amino acids were as cysteine, histidine, arginine and glutamic acid. The degree of hydrolysis by treatment of viscozyme L, celluclast 1.5L, pectinex and cereflo was 69%, 71%, 80% and 62%, respectively. During the enzymatic hydrolysis, free sugar and total sugar content increased however, pyruvic acid content decreased significantly.
