  • The citrus leafminer (CLM), Phyllocnistis citrella Stainton, is an oligophagous pest of Rutaceae family, especially Citrus spp. occurring in most worldwide citrus-growing areas. This study was conducted to evaluate a sex pheromone chemical of CLM, (Z,Z)-7,11-hexadecadienal (7Z,11Z-16:Al) in monitoring CLM by trap types, the diel activity and the influence of some weather factors on trap catch. CLM was well attracted on a trap baited 7Z,11Z-16:Al 1mg. Sticky wing trap was more effective than bucket trap. Most caught CLM were attracted at 2$\sim$6 a.m. regardless of season, and activity time of CLM was affected by sunrise time as well as sunset time. The trap catch of CLM was more influenced by wind velocity than temperature for activity time of CLM. The number of caught CLM was fallen at below 13$^{\circ}C$, but there was little effect for trap catch at over that temperature. The average wind velocity at over 2.0 m/sec made the number of caught CLM drop down. The precipitation did not affect the number of caught CLM when the average wind velocity was lower than at 2.0 m/sec.

  • Sun position computed by Michalsky shows maximum $1.5^{\circ}$, $0.88^{\circ}$ and 2 minutes differences in azimuth, altitude, and sunrise and sunset times respectively compared with Korean Almanac. The 2-axis solar tracking system, which consist control panel with ATmega128 CPU, BLDC motor-cylinder actuator and 2-axis link mechanism, was developed. Computed azimuth and altitude of sun for a current time, and latitude and longitude of tracker position built are controlled in real time by BLDC motor-cylinder actuators comparing with the position feed-backed by Hall sensor. The use of BLDC motor is free in maintenance. Implementation of a home-return function by Hall sensor is to minimize the cumulative error.

  • The objective of this study was to increase the generating efficiency of concentrated photovoltaics (CPV) by using hybrid solar tracking. Further, the proposed system was demonstrated to have the ability to extract thermal energy from a concentrated photovoltaic system by using thermal absorbers containing heat pipe, which could then be used for a heating system or hot-water supply. The average electrical efficiency was 16 during the day, and the average thermal efficiency was 62. Therefore, this system demonstrated a total efficiency (electrical thermal) of 78. All the processes, i.e., tracking of the sun, calculation of the sun's position, reinstatement of the heating device toward the east for tracking on the next day, and system shutdown, were programmed using Simulink. A parametric analysis of the heat pipe, concentration ratio, and inlet velocity was also performed in terms of the operating temperature of the CPV and the outlet temperature. The simulation and experimental results for the thermal absorber were found to be in good agreement.

  • 무선영상취득시스템(WIA 시스템, Wireless Image Acquisition System)은 라즈베리 파이에 전용 카메라와 WiFi 모듈을 장착하여, 하천의 영상을 실시간으로 촬영하여 무선으로 서버로 전송하는 시스템이다. 이 시스템이 갖는 가장 큰 이점은 시스템을 구성하는 비용이 매우 저렴하다는 점이다. 라즈베리 본체와 카메라 모듈, WiFi 모듈 모두 매우 저렴하고, 또 사용하는 전력이 작아서 상용 전원이 아닌 태양광 발전이나 배터리 등을 이용할 수 있다. 따라서 비용과 장소에 구애받지 않고 손쉽게 어디든지 설치하여 하천의 상시 감시나 계측에 활용할 수 있다. 또한, 상용 전원을 이용하지 않아도 되기 때문에, 산간벽지나 오지 등의 소하천 관리에도 적합하다. 본 연구에서는 이 WIA 시스템을 경상남도 김해시의 대청천에 적용하여 홍수 시 하천의 수표면을 촬영하고, 촬영된 동영상을 분석하여 수위와 유속을 동시에 계측하여 유량을 산정하였다. 라즈베리 파이에 $640{\times}480$ 화소의 카메라를 장착하여 10분 간격으로 10초간의 동영상을 촬영하고, 이를 WiFi 모듈을 이용하여 무선으로 서버로 전송한다. 전송된 동영상을 분석하기 전에 설치 지점의 3차원 좌표 변환 자료와 횡단면 좌표를 입력하여 대상 지점의 측정 매개변수를 설정한다. 즉, 이들 자료에서 영상 내의 표정점과 측정선을 설정해 둔다. 그 다음, 전송된 동영상을 시공간 영상으로 만들어 수위를 분석한다. 비슷한 방법으로 동영상에서 유속을 분석하고, 분석된 수위와 유속, 그리고 미리 설정된 횡단면 좌표를 이용하여 유량을 산정해 낸다. 설치된 WIA 시스템을 실제로 운용하여, 2017년 9월 11일의 06:10~19:00의 호우 사상 전체를 분석하였다. 10분 간격으로 촬영된 10초간 동영상 중에서 적절한 분석이 가능한 영상 77개에서 수위와 유속을 분석한 결과, 최대 수위는 0.746 m(간이수위표 기준), 최대 유속은 0.962 m/s, 최대 유량은 $12.977m^3/s$에 이르렀다. 지점 특성상 다른 유속계를 이용한 검증은 사실상 불가능하였다. 또, 하폭이 넓어서 일출 전과 일몰 후의 촬영 자료는 분석이 어려운 점이 있다. 이러한 기술적 문제들을 보완하면, WIA 시스템을 이용한 소하천의 수위와 유속 측정 시스템은 경제성이고 효율이 높은 관측시스템으로 유망할 것으로 기대된다.

Performance Validation of Five Direct/Diffuse Decomposition Models Using Measured Direct Normal Insolation of Seoul (서울지역 실측일사량을 이용한 일사량 직산분리 모델의 정밀성 검증 연구)

  • Five direct/diffuse decomposition models were validated using the eight years data set of direct normal beam insolation measured in Seoul. The comparison has been performed In terms of the widely used statistical indicators such as MBE, RMSE, CV(RMSE), t-Statistic and Degree of Agreement. Result indicates that most of the correlations exhibit a tendency to underestimate the direct normal beam insolation except Bouguer's model. Most of big discrepancies between the measured and the predicted values was mainly shown in near the sunrising and the sunset period. Even though the investigated five models showed fairly large disagreement for the measured values by 34%$\sim$48% of CV(RMSE), Udagawa's correlation which includes the effect of solar altitude variation appears to performs always better in every statistical error tests.

Measurement and Practices of Workaholism for Korean Workers (일중독 측정과 실태)

  • Workaholism refers to a state in which work is the center of self, a state in which other life other than work is deemed worthless, and a state in which one feels that his or her life ends when things get lost. There are concerns that South Korea's work-centered institutions, cultures and long-time labor practices expose workers to workaholism. This study identifies the prevalence of workaholism and its risk factors among workers using a representative sample from Korean Labor and Income Panel Study. The results of empirical analysis of the wide range of workaholism showed that 7.0% of Korean workers were work-addicts. Male, workers working long hours, daily workers, employers, the self-employed were more likely to be work-addicts. Those who think that workload is high beyond regular working hours are more likely to be work-addicts. These results were also confirmed by regression analysis. It suggests that policies to shorten working hours and strengthen job and income stability can reduce the risk of workaholism and balance between work and life.

  • A study on the diel activities and feeding habits of Pseudobagrus brevicorpus living in the Daegacheon Stream of Nakdonggang River was conducted in September 2017. Diel activity took place during the night, just after sunset and just before sunrise. Pseudobagrus brevicorpus swam in the middle depths, and when they found prey organisms, approached and consumed them immediately. Fish were divided by age into three groups. Prey organisms whose index of relative importance in the stomach contents exceeded 1% belonged to the orders Ephemeroptera (80.8%), Diptera (8.6%), and Trichoptera (8.5%). An index of relative importance by age showed that the Ephemeroptera are very important prey organisms, and the sizes of prey organisms increase with fish growth.

  • A Photovoltaic power streetlight is a system that uses solar energy to charge a secondary battery and then uses it for night lighting through a lamp, and can be configured as a standalone or grid-connected type by installing an LED streetlight at the load end. The energy generated through the solar cell module can be charged to the secondary battery through the charge/discharge control device, and then the LED street light can be turned on and off by comparing the power generation voltage and the charging voltage according to the monitoring of solar radiation, or by setting a specific time after sunset or sunrise. Based on these contents, this paper designed and manufactured a simulated solar power streetlight for education using new and renewable energy utilization and storage functions. Using these educational equipment, students can 1) understand the flow of energy change using renewable energy including sunlight as electric energy, 2) understand new and renewable energy, and cultivate basic design and manufacturing application power of related products, 3) The use of new and renewable energy through power conversion and strengthening of practical training and analysis through hardware production can be instilled.

Carbon Dioxide Fluctuation in Suncheon Bay Measured by Infrared and Ultrasonic sensors (적외선과 초음파 센서로 측정한 순천만 이산화탄소 변동)

  • Wind and temperature were measured with a three-dimensional ultrasonic anemometer and the carbon dioxide concentration was measured using an infrared sensor in the tidal flat of Suncheon Bay. In general, as the temperature increases, the concentration of carbon dioxide increases, and as the temperature decreases, the carbon dioxide also decreases in the atmosphere. However, since photosynthesis declined immediately after the sunset, the concentration of carbon dioxide increased as the temperature decreased. In addition, near the high tide when the tidal flat is covered with seawater, the atmospheric turbulence was strong despite an increase in temperature, resulting in a decrease in carbon dioxide concentration. It is necessary to quantitatively evaluated the effects of photosynthesis, respiration and atmospheric turbulence on the change of carbon dioxide concentration over tidal flat ecosystems.

Multi-Section Flow Measurement Method Using Radar(Electromagnetic) Surface Flow meter (레이더(전자파) 표면유속계를 이용한 다측점 유량측정 방법)

  • 유량은 도섭법, 보트법, 횡측선법, 교량법 및 부자법 등 다양한 방법으로 측정되는데, 이들 측정방법 모두 많은 수의 관측자를 필요로 한다. 이들은 하천에 직접 들어가서 측정하거나, 인공구조물인 교량과 재방에서 측정되는데, 도섭법, 보트법, 횡측선법이 전자이며, 고수위 및 고유속으로 하천에 들어가지 못하는 경우에는 교량법 및 부자법을 사용하여 유량을 측정한다. 최근 지구 온난화로 따른 이상 기후가 빈번히 발생하고 있으며, 이로 인한 많은 피해가 발생하고 있어, 하천 수위, 유속 모니터링에 대한 중요성이 더 커지고 있다. 2022년 1월부터 시행 중인 「중대재해처벌법」으로 집중호우 및 일몰 이후에는 안전상의 문제로 유량측정이 어려운 상황으로 필요한 시기에 유량 데이터를 확보에 제약이 있다. 이에 관측자 없이도 유량을 측정할 수 있는 방법을 이용하여 중대 재해의 위험성을 해소하고자 하였다. 유량측정 방법으로 설치 회수가 용이한 비접촉 방식에서 영상표면유속측정 방식과 레이더(전자파)표면 유속측정 방식 중, 집중호우 및 태풍 발생 중 가시성이 확보되지 않아도 측정이 가능한 레이더(전자파) 표면유속계를 이용한 다측점 유량측정 방법을 개발하였다. 비접촉 다측점 유량측정시스템 Master 1대에 8대의 Slave를 연결할 수 있어 총 9개의 측선을 측정할 수 있게 개발하였다. 특히, 하천 및 수로 등의 표면 유속을 비접촉으로 측정하고 하천 단면을 이용하여 유량측정이 가능한 장비로 별도의 수중 및 수상 주조물 작업이 필요 없고 장비의 손상 및 유실 가능성이 거의 없고 역류 상태에서도 측정이 가능하다. 유속은 24GHz의 레이더 주파수를 송수신하여 도플러 변이를 이용하여 측정하였고, 수위는 80GHz의 레이더 주파수를 사용하여 왕복 시간을 거리로 환산하여 측정하였다. 유량은 각각의 유속계에 단면을 입력해 놓으면 유속분포법, 중간단면적법 및 지표유속법을 적용하여, 각각의 측선에 대한유량과 총 유량을 산출하였다. 그 결과, 기존 방식 대비 상당한 개선 효과를 확인하였고, 향후 환경부 등 중앙부처의 수문조사 사업에서 그 역할이 기대된다.
