MPEG-4 based XMT APIs for Scene Description (장면 기술을 위한 MPEG-4 기반 XMT API 구현)

  • MPEG-4 시스템은 장면 자체를 하나의 구성 요소로 여기는 기존의 시스템과는 달리, 그 장면을 구성하는 부호화 또는 복호화된 A/V 객체(Audio/visual Objects)들을 하나의 단위로 인식하여, 다양한 멀티미디어 컨텐츠의 장면을 구성(Scene Composition)하고 표현 하는 것에 그 특징이 있다. 이러한 MPEG-4 시스템의 객체 기반 특징은 다양한 사용자와의 대화성(Interactivity)을 가능하게 하며 , 또한 편리한 컨텐츠 편집 및 재사용 등이 가능하기에 차세대 디지털 방송 컨텐츠 제작에 중요하게 활용될 전망이다. 객체 기반 A/V 편집 도구는 MPEG-4를 기반으로 차세대 디지털 방송 컨텐츠 제작을 용이하게 하기 위한 제작/편집 도구로써 , 장면을 표현하기 위하여 BIFS(Binary Format for Scene description)와 XMT(eXtensible MPEG-4 Textual format) 포맷을 모두 사용하고 있다. BIFS 포맷은 저작된 결과물을 바이너리 형태로 표현하기 때문에, 저작된 결과물을 전송하는 데에는 용이하나, 중간에 저작된 결과물을 확인하기 어렵고, 또한 기존의 다른 어플리케이션과의 상호 작용(Interoperability)과 교환(Exchange)에도 어려움이 따른다. 이에 반해, XMT는 차세대 마크업 언어로 각광 받고 있는 XML 에 그 기반을 두고 있기에 저작된 결과물을 제작자가 쉽게 저작물을 이해할 수 있으며, SMIL 과 X3D 같은 다른 어플리케이션과의 상호작용과 교환 또한 용이하게 한다 XMT는 기술 방법에 따라 XMT-A 와 XMT-0 두 가지 형태가 있으며, XMT-A 포맷은 VRML에서 발전한 X3D(extensible 3D)를 바탕으로 MPEG-4 시스템의 특징들을 수용하여 구성되고 BIFS와 일대일로 대응된다. 반면에 XMT-0는 멀티미디어 문서를 웹문서로 표현하는 SMIL 2.0 을 그 기반으로 하였기에 MPEG-4 시스템의 특징보다는 컨텐츠를 저작하는 제작자의 초점에 맞추어 개발된 형태이다. XMT를 이용하여 컨텐츠를 저작하기 위해서는 사용자 인터페이스를 통해 입력되는 저작 정보들을 손쉽게 저장하고 조작할 수 있으며, 또한 XMT 파일 형태로 출력하기 위한 API 가 필요하다. 이에, 본 논문에서는 XMT 형태의 중간 자료형으로의 저장 및 조작을 위하여 XML 에서 표준 인터페이스로 사용하고 있는 DOM(Document Object Model)을 기반으로 하여 XMT 문법에 적합하게 API를 정의하였으며, 또한, XMT 파일을 생성하기 위한 API를 구현하였다. 본 논문에서 제공된 API는 객체기반 제작/편집 도구에 응용되어 다양한 멀티미디어 컨텐츠 제작에 사용되었다.

  • Many information retrieval systems have a simple process structure that a client process for a user is mapped to a server process for information retrieval. That is, when using information retrieval systems, each user is allocated a big process that consists of user interfaces, retrieval automatic indexing systems and storage systems. Therefor when many users use the information retrieval systems, it might be difficult to use the information retrieval systems. This is because the system overhead is increased as enormously much as users cannot use them. In this paper, we propose a new process structure for constructing efficient information retrieval systems that solves the problem resulting from he process structure. The proposed process structure contributes to the whole operational performance improvement of information retrieval systems and the efficientnt use of computer system resources. It is constructed based on a multi-threading scheme and a transaction processing monitor.

  • This paper analyzes the implications of the change in the way China conducts public diplomacy, through an in-depth study of international education programs promoted under China's public diplomacy strategy. The leadership of Xi Jinping is now trying for China to become the top power in the world, not just a G2 country, based on China's economic growth over the past 40 years. Also, as a vision for the goal, the leadership is presenting the dream of the great revival of the Chinese nation. Currently, the international education program promoted at the level of public diplomacy in China is operated in an active, mid- to long-term manner within the national strategy, away from the past passive and responsive method. In other words, while China's past international education program was a passive model for dispelling the "Chinese Threat Theory," China's current international education program is evolving into an active model that can promote the "Chinese" order in the world.

  • The Traffic controller currently used in Korea is a switch control system that directly transfers 220V of high voltage to traffic lights one to one. This method requires a lot of cables, and there are concerns about electric shock. Accordingly, Korea Road Traffic Authority added the digital communication signal controller standard using digital communication method to the standard specification of the communication signal controller of the National Police Agency. Based on these specifications, this paper intended to develop digital communication call controllers. In addition, it was verified that even if the digital communication signal controller and analogue communication call controller were mixed, they could operate in the signal control system currently in operation.

A Generation from Entity-Relationship Model to XML Schema Model (개체-관계 모델에선 XML Schema의 생성)

  • The XML is emerging as standard language for data exchange on the Web. Therefore the demand of XML Schema(W3C XML Schema Spec.) that verifies XML document becomes increasing. However, XML Schema has a weak point for design because of its complication despite of various data and abundant expressiveness. This paper shows a simple way of design for XML Schema using a fundamental means for database design, the Entity-Relationship model. The conversion from the Entity-Relationship model to XML Schema can not be directly on account of discordance between the two models. So we present some algorithms to generate XML Schema from the Entity-Relationship model. The algorithms produce XML Schema codes using a hierarchical view representation. An important objective of this automatic generation is to preserve XML Schema's characteristics such as reusability, global and local ability, ability of expansion and various type changes.

A Phenomenological Study on the Job Stress experienced by Emotional Labors: Focusing on the Call Center Consultant (감정노동자가 경험하는 직무스트레스에 관한 현상학적 연구: 콜센터 상담사를 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the content of job stress experienced by call center consultants. For that purpose, the investigator interviewed 11 call center consultants one-on-one in D City, conducting qualitative analysis of content of job stress they experienced according to Giorgi's phenomenological analysis procedure. As a result, there were classifications of job characteristics and individual characteristics. They were further classified into 8 categories and 24 subcategories. As for job characteristics, there were "limitations of work performance," "work burden," "inflexible work style," "uncontrolled customers," and "controlled demand." As for individual characteristics, there were "psychological instability," "personality vulnerabilities," and "poor coping resources." The categories of job characteristics and personal characteristics were classified into limit and control levels, respectively. It is found that poor coping resources mediate between job stress and personal characteristics. Based on these results, we discussed not only the existing organizational responses but also the combined interventions that mitigate the psychological stress after the unstable psychological state of the individual.

  • The Resident Registration Number(RRN) system has been effectively acted as a national identification system since it was enforced. On the other hand, there are some problems such as leakages of personal informations including RRNs on a large scale and each RRN makes a pair with each person in all areas of the society. Nevertheless leakages of them might cause a big damage, there is no radical countermeasure for they are never changed in actual fact. In Republic of Korea, a RRN acts as a primary key of a database, so it has to be protected by severing the connectivity between leaked RRNs and the other personal data. In this paper, the Unconnected Random Personal Identification Number system is proposed for preventing damage of data spills by removing a dependency which the RRN has. Furthermore, this paper suggests the solutions against some potential issues in the system.

A Study on the Development plan of Logistics Competitiveness of Hunchun Region (훈춘지역 물류경쟁력 발전방안 연구)

  • The Hunchun area is the only development and opening line in Jilin Province and the Changchun-Jilin-Tumen Developmental Plan area, and as a hub area for regional logistics, promoting the logistics competitiveness of the Hunchun area is an important factor in promoting economic development in the Northeast region. The purpose of this study is to derive the factors for activating logistics competitiveness in Hunchun area by applying SWOT analysis and to present them to policy-makers by drawing priority of factors for promoting logistics competitiveness in Hunchun area through AHP survey of Chinese and Korean logistics experts. According to the analysis, the weighting was high in order of opportunity factors and strength factors, and the priority was high in order of factors such as promotion and expansion of One Belt, One Road policies, active support through national policies, construction of international logistics center cities, construction of logistics centers, and supply of bulk cargo. Finally, from a comprehensive perspective, this study presented policy implications such as SO Strategy (Strength-Occupancy Strategy) and ST Strategy (Strength-War Strategy) focusing on the strengths of the Hunchun Region for the strategy of strengthening the logistics competitiveness of the Hunchun area.

A case analysis on the change of stage-discharge relationship by control factors - based on actual survey data - (통제요인에 따른 수위-유량관계 변화에 대한 사례분석 - 실측자료를 기반으로 -)

  • 이론적으로 하천의 흐름은 시간과 위치에 따라 수위와 유량의 관계가 일대일로 대응한다는 가정을 두지만, 실제 하천은 여러 가지 통제요인에 의해 다양하게 변화한다. 특히 하천 상 하류 일부구간에서 인공적인 골재채취나 준설작업과 같은 하도공사가 이루어진다면 하천의 흐름은 일시적인 수위변화가 아닌 단면의 변화 나아가 수위에 따른 유량의 증가 및 감소를 일으키게 된다. 또한 모래하상이나 식생의 영향을 받는 하천의 경우에도 빈번한 단면 및 유속의 변화를 볼 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 2007년부터 2011년까지 유량조사사업단에서 측정이 이루어진 4개 수계 577개 지점을 대상지점으로 선정하고, 이들 중 2개년 이상 측정이 이루어져 단면변화 및 지점의 수리특성 여부를 비교할 수 있는 한강 55개, 낙동강 49개, 금강 43개, 영산강 55개 지점의 수위-유량관계 변화여부를 검토하였다. 본 연구는 경년변화 없이 일정한 수위-유량관계를 보이거나 보와 같은 단면 통제에 의해 단순한 기간분리가 발생되는 지점, 4대강 공사가 진행 중인 지점, 미미한 단면변화에 의해 저수위의 수위-유량관계가 변화된 지점들은 분석 대상에서 제외하고, 중수위 이상에서 수위와 유량의 관계가 변화하는 지점들을 찾아 그 원인을 파악하고 사례를 분석하는데 중점을 두었다. 검토 결과 중수위 이상에서 수위-유량관계가 변화되는 요인으로 크게 상류와 하류에서 하천준설을 실시하여 수위에 따른 에너지선의 증가 및 감소를 일으킨 경우와, 제방공사에 의해 고수위가 변화가 발생되었거나 그 해에 배수영향을 받았는지 여부 또는 하도에 자생하는 식생의 영향 그리고 모래 및 자갈하천에서 발생되는 큰 단면변화 등으로 나타났다.
