Smart Social Grid System using Interactive Sketch Map (인터랙티브 스케치맵을 활용한 스마트 소셜 그리드 시스템)

  • Recently, one of the received attraction fields in web based service is 'Human Relationship Service' that is called SNS. This relationship map service is able to deliver information to user more easily and visually because it is intuitive data that is linked with offline real world. While past map service put physical real information in the map, present map service is evolving into new communicative platform that expresses social relationship beyond simple search platform that shows real world. In this paper, we propose smart social grid system using sketch map that is based on online map service structure. This system has features such as standardized interface provision for various SNS, use to governance hub tool in case of establishing a personal network through expanded social grid, a role of bridge to mashup software linked with other SNS, user environment construction that reproduces social grid data, and the faster service setup by improved search technology.

An Ecosystem Model and Content Research of the Satellite Information Utilization Business (위성정보 활용 사업의 생태계 모델과 콘텐츠 연구)

  • Satellite-derived data is collected by observing the Earth and is used in various fields such as national defense, natural disasters, location-based services, infrastructure, environment, energy, marine, and insurance. This study aims to present the virtuous cycle structure of the satellite information data industry and the business ecosystem model of the industry. As a research method, cases were collected and categorized from the following areas: literature, online, application, and content. The results show that the ecosystem model of the satellite information data industry provides an approach to content services in public and commercial areas, and develops various algorithmic technologies to facilitate content production and services at the level of complex general-purpose technologies. Second, in terms of content typology, satellite information data can be subdivided into monitoring content, urban space monitoring content, and satellite information content. Third, the consumption value of satellite content could be subdivided into informational value, environmental, social and governance (ESG) value, educational value, and content value. In order to expand the global content market, Korea will need to focus on creating an ecosystem for the satellite information industry and discovering differentiated content. It will also need to increase the popularization and accessibility of data to the general public and promote the Korean K-Satellite Information Data Industry ecosystem through government support, policy efforts, and policies such as establishing legal systems, increasing investment, and training human resources.

Development of Interactive Signage using Floating Hologram (플로팅 홀로그램을 이용한 인터랙티브 사이니지 개발)

  • We have developed an interactive signage system based on floating hologram by combining hologram technology and ICT technology, which can be competitive to small businesses that have excellent products and services. The developed interactive signage system can be used for publicity and marketing of small business owners at low cost, introducing menus with 3D hologram images, and providing various contents responding to user's hand movements. The developed system is able to detect 10 finger movements at a rate of 290 frames per second in a range of 60cm and a range of 150 degrees. We also confirmed that the virtual touch function operates normally by dividing the user's motion recognition into the hover zone and the touch zone by the physical motion experiment of the leap motion object.

  • Intelligence of collaborative environments starts from a trial to provide optimal services to with users based on real-time information about participants and environments of the collaboration itself. Up to now, we can collect information such as temperature, light, time, each participant's gestures, faces, voices, and locations by adopting ubiquitous computing technologies. However, since social relationship is intrinsic to collaborative activities, the relationships and roles among participants should be fully considered to provide optimal services. To do so, we have to integrate collected data from various sensors and extracted data about relationships and roles among participants as unified one context. Thus, this paper designs collaborative services filtered, by using the integrated data as a context, and introduces an implemented example, context-aware based interactive display service, called as smart meeting system (SMeet system).

  • This paper describes a digital video recorder-based approach to realising interactive programmes on digital television. So far, it is very difficult that the most interactive programmes included the vast quantities of the content, whatever it is data or HD-ready broadcasting, are broadcasted on digital television via the set-top box. Furthermore it is not possible to envisage until IPTV was appeared. Even though IPTV makes possible for streaming the interactive services via broadband, it is not easy to receive tremendous contents for interactivity as set-top box at once. In this paper it will suggest an effective solution to resolve the download dilemma for the interactive services on DTV by employing the set-top box fitted with digital video recorder.

  • 최근 산업 전반에 걸쳐 가상세계와 현실세계, 방송과 통신, IT 기술과 전통산업 등 다양한 분야에서 융합연구가 진행되고 있다. 그리고 교육분야에서는 주입식 교육을 탈피하는 창의력 중심으로의 교육 패러다임의 변화를 고려하고, 교육격차 해소와 교육복지 실현을 위한 새로운 교육서비스 제공이 요구되고 있으며, 결과적으로 자기주도형 미래 인재를 육성하기 위한 고품질의 인터랙티브 교육콘텐츠 기술이 시급히 요구되고 있는 실정이다. 이에 따라 최근에는 ICT(Information & Communication Technology) 기술을 교육과 융합하여 학습자에게 실재감과 몰입감을 제공하고 학습자의 체험 기반 학습을 지향하는 이러닝 콘텐츠 기술이 개발되고 있다. 본고에서는 증강현실 기반 실감형 학습기술, 가상현실 기반 체험형 학습기술, 인터랙티브 e-book 기술 관련 신기술 개발동향에 대해 살펴보고자 한다.

  • 본 논문에서는 사용자에게 동일한 경험과 최적화 된 웹 매거진의 디자인 서비스 설계 연구를 위해 해상도 혹은 디바이스에 따라 유연하게 변화되는 반응형웹 매거진의 표현방식에 따른 변화를 살펴보았다. 웹 매거진의 표현방식은 멀티미디어, 인터랙티브 환경, GUI 디자인으로 구성 되어 있다. 이를 토대로 점유율이 높은 대표 웹 매거진을 선정하여 표현 방식을 살펴본 결과 멀티미디어 요소에서는 동일한 디자인에 최적화 된 크기 변화를 주는 방법과, 협소한 해상도에서는 비교적 중요도가 떨어지는 디자인 요소를 숨기는 방식으로 설계 되었고, 인터랙티브 환경과 GUI의 변화에서는 요소들의 정렬의 변화로 동일한 시각적 이미지와 최적화된 이미지 배열의 형태를 보여주었다.

  • 최근에 딥러닝 기술인 GAN (Generative Adversarial Networks) 연구는 Image-to-Image translation 분야에서 활발하게 이뤄지고 있다. 이러한 기술을 바탕으로 사용자에게 편의와 재미를 제공하는 서비스가 애플리케이션 및 웹사이트의 형태로 개발되고 있다. 이에 본 논문은 CycleGAN 모델을 사용하여 이미지를 변환하고, 이를 인터랙티브 웹페이지를 통해 사용자와 실시간으로 상호작용하며 결과 이미지를 제공할 수 있는 방법을 연구하였다. 모델을 구현하기 위해 Tensorflow 및 Keras를 사용하였고, Django와 HTML5, CSS, JavaScript를 사용하여 웹사이트를 제작하였다.

  • Advances in IoT data analysis technology have made it easier to analyze situation and provide interactive services based on the context. Most of digital signage application have been used to provide information uni-directionally, but in the future it will evolve to provide personalized content according to the individual user situation and responses. However, it is not easy to modify or apply the existing interactive digital signage platforms due to their hardware dependency. The proposed platform is modularized by dividing main functions into two, the cloud and the edge, so that advertisement resources can be easily generated and registered. Thus, interactive advertisement can be rendered in a timely manner based on sensor analysis results. At the edge, personal data can be processed to minimize privacy issues, and real-time IoT sensor data can be analyzed for quick response to the signage player. The cloud is easier to access and manage by multiple users than edge. Therefore, the signage content generation module improves accessibility and flexibility by handling advertisement contents in the cloud so that multiple users can work together on the cloud platform. The proposed platform was developed and simulated in two aspects. First is the provider who provides the signage service, and second is the viewer who uses the content of the signage. Simulation results show that the proposed platform enables providers to quickly construct interactive signage contents and responses appropriately to the context changes in real-time.

A Study on the Interaction Factors Influencing Use Intention of Interactive Video Services: focusing on Timing Flexibility (인터랙티브 비디오 서비스 사용 의도에 영향을 미치는 상호 작용성 요인에 관한 연구: 시간 유연성 개념을 중심으로)

  • Interactive Video Service(IVS) is a new type of media service that enables users to interact with others in the process of casting and watching videos in a system. 'Timing flexibility', which divides IVS into real-time IVS and non-real-time IVS, is one of the significant factors of interactivity. The objective of this study is to identify critical factors of interactivity in IVS and to compare their effects in terms of timing flexibility. To achieve the objective, prior literature has been reviewed to establish a theoretical framework, and twelve active users of IVS have been interviewed to develop research model of IVS. Finally, an online survey has been conducted to verify the research model. The results indicate that Technical Factor, Communication Factor, and Contents Factor of IVS are found to be the important interaction factors in IVS; and their impacts on the intention to use IVS were found to be affected by timing flexibility. This paper ends with theoretical and practical implications of study results.
