A Study on the Level of Perception to Internet Shopping′ Benefit - Risk in Relation to the Internet Searching Value Types of College Student Consumers (대학생소비자의 인터넷탐색가치유형과 인터넷쇼핑에 대한 혜택-위험 지각정도에 관한 연구)

  • This study explored the Internet searching values(utilitarian searching value and hedonic searching value) of college student consumers, typed the Internet searching values to four types, and analysed the level of perception to Internet shopping' benefit-risk according to the Internet searching value types. The subjects were 361 college students. We used Cronbach'$\alpha$, multiple regression, one-way ANOVA, and Scheffe' test as statistical analysis. The results were summarized as follows : 1) According to the Internet searching values, college student consumers were classified into 4 types - high utilitarian/high hedonic type, high utilitarian/low hedonic type, low utilitarian/high hedonic type, and low utilitarian/low hedonic type. 2) Both high utilitarian/high hedonic type and low utilitarian/high hedonic type had high level of perception to Internet shopping' benefit-risk.

Differences across Types of web Navigation Value and Shopping Mall in Evaluation of website attributes for Apparel Shopping (인터넷 탐색가치와 인터넷 쇼핑물 유형에 따른 의류제품 쇼핑 웹사이트 속성 평가의 차이)

  • The purposes of this studs were 1) to identify web navigation values and classify consumers based on these values and 2) to determine differences between consumer groups and between types of shopping mall in evaluation of website attributes when shopping apparel. The data were collected via a self-administered questionnaire from 204 male and female students who experienced shopping at the website, living in Cheju and analyzed by factor analysis, cluster analysis and t-test. Two factors of navigation value were found and labeled as; information value and entertainment value. Two groups were identified based on navigation value; users of information value (53%) and users of entertainment value (47%). Significant differences between two groups were found in evaluating website attributes selling products of various types regarding apparel products and processes for information search, order and payment. However, for shopping mall website selling only apparel products, differences between two groups were not significant in evaluating most attributes except for two items to evaluate apparel products. Differences between shopping mall types (shopping malls selling products of various types and selling only apparel product) were significant in evaluation of internet users of information value regarding attributes of apparel products while differences between shopping mall types were not significant in evaluation of users of entertainment value regarding all attributes. Internet users of information value showed favor to shopping mall website of department store type chi e internet users of entertainment value showed favor to shopping mall website selling only apparel products.

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze searching value types of Internet consumer information and to identify difference of information characteristics by searching value types. The online survey was conducted by 262 netizens. We used SPSS10.0 package and statistical analysis as follows : factor analysis, cluster analysis, one-way ANOVA, and Duncan's multiple range test. The results were summarized as follows: 1) searching value types of Internet consumer information were classified into 3 types - high benefit/high risk type, middle benefit/middle risk type, high benefit/low risk type. 2)In the degree of significance for information characteristics, consumer recognized accuracy as the most important then comes variability, utility, up-to-dateness, and reliability in that order. 3) high benefit/high risk type among searching value types was evaluated the most affirmative types for Internet consumer information.

Internet Shopping Value, Store Image, Customer Satisfaction, and Re-Visit Intention - A Comparison by Product Types - (인터넷 쇼핑가치, 점포이미지와 고객만족 및 재방문의도 - 구매제품유형별 비교 -)

  • This study aims to prove the connection between satisfaction and re-visit intention of customers by examining shopping value and store image depending on product types purchased at Internet shopping malls. The finding of this study revealed that shopping value could be classified into hedonic and utilitarian value, while store image could be extracted into six dimensions such as reputation, product and information service, customer service after purchase, atmosphere, convenience, and safety. Both search goods and experience goods among store image factors were found to have stronger effect on utilitarian shopping value than hedonic shopping one. In addition, it was found that store image and shopping value had an effect on customer satisfaction and re-visit intention depending on product types, with a significant difference. These findings are expected to provide marketing complications for the understanding of differentiated market segments in the Internet shopping mall market, which is facing ever-growing market.

  • In this study, it is explored whether positive and negative emotions affected hedonic and utilitarian values experienced while shopping apparel in the Internet. In addition, the effect of hedonic and utilitarian shopping values on store approach behaviors was explored. For this study, Babin and Attaway's research model that was used for off-line shopping malls was adopted to investigate the relationships among research variables. Data obtained through experiments with 278 female college students were submitted for an analysis. Exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation modeling with AMOS 6.0 were used to analyze data. Based on the model test, negative emotions negatively affected hedonic and utilitarian shopping value perception while positive emotions positively affected hedonic and utilitarian shopping value perception for the Internet apparel shopping site. Hedonic and utilitarian shopping values positively influenced attitude toward the Internet shopping site while only utilitarian shopping value affected revisiting Internet apparel shopping site. Managerial and academic implications were generated based on results.

  • This research is a study on the model of the economic value measurement of Internet Business properties(especially security property) that will take considerable parts in ail transactions. The study can contribute to decide the priority of investment among several Internet Business properties and justify the cost for improving Internet Business elements. However the study have some research limits not to be analyzed by the empirical verification. Future research agenda includes the practical survey of WTP of Internet Business properties, and the practical availability of the proposed model. Especially, many problems will occur in the process of the empirical analysis, so additional works should be done in the future.

  • This study attempts to estimate the size of economic value that could be created by the adoption of a new internet protocol, IPv6. The existence of externality and diffusion effects in the adoption of a new platform technology makes it difficult to capture the exact costs and benefits of IPv6 adoption. Hence, this study employed multiple evaluation methods rather than relying on single method to increase the validity of results by averaging the value of different methods. Futhermore, the proposed evaluation model includes qualitative variables such as expert opinions, as well as quantitative variables, to incorporate various stakeholders' perspectives. Finally, the policy implications for IPv6 adoption and the limitations of this study are discussed.

The Structural Relationship Among eCRM Establishment Affected Factors (E-CRM 구축 영향 요인간의 구조적 관계)

  • 본 연구는 eCRM 활용을 위한 운영 속성별 모델의 한 형태인 인터넷 콘텐츠를 기반으로 하여 그 특성을 파악하고, 이들 특성들에 의해 고객들이 사이트를 탐색하는 동안 경험하게 되는 플로우가 방문빈도 및 방문지속성인 고객밀착도에 어떠한 영향을 주는지 또한 고객밀착도가 eCRM의 활용에 어떠한 영향을 미칠 수 있는지에 대해서 연구하고자 하였다. 연구결과 콘텐츠 특성 요인 중 탐색의 편리성 및 디자인이 고객밀착도에 유의적인 영향을 미쳤다. 이는 인터넷 밀착도를 높이기 위해서는 인터페이스 중 탐색의 편리성과 콘텐츠의 디자인을 높게 지각할수록 고객의 방문빈도 및 지속성이 증가한다는 점을 시사하고 있다. 또한 콘텐츠 특성과 플로우 관계검증 결과 유의하게 결과가 도출되었다. 이는 콘텐츠가 가지고 있는 독특한 특성이 고객들로 하여금 흥미성, 새로움 추구 및 자발성을 이끌어 내야한다는 점을 시사한다. 플로우와 고객 밀착도와의 관계를 검증한 결과 유의적인 영향을 나타냈다. 이는 고객들이 사이트를 탐색하는 동안 플로우의 경험을 많이 할수록 밀착도인 방문빈도 및 방문 지속성이 높아진다는 점을 시사하고 있다. 마지막으로 고객밀착도와 eCRM 활용요인과의 관계를 검증한 결과 밀착도는 eCRM 활용요인인 고객유지(충성도), 신규고객확보(구전효과), 소비자 개발(고객 생애가치)에 모두 유의적인 결과를 보였다. 그러므로 eCRM을 활용하기 위해서는 인터넷 콘텐츠의 전반전인 고객밀착도를 제고할 수 있는 방안을 적극적으로 모색해야 한다.
