  • Information Culture Index (ICI) is the quantitative value that represents people's information literacy levels. Also, it diagnoses the people's knowledge, ethics, emotion, and practice synthetically. As the Internet and cell phone addiction have been increasing when people access information on the web recently, it is necessary to analyze the meaning of the ICI from the Internet and cell phone addiction perspectives and to confirm if it goes well in the right direction. In this paper, we analyze the characteristics of the people who have high ICIs. At the same time, we perform the statistical analysis combining ICIs with the Internet and the cell-phone addiction levels. In particular, the meaning of the Information Practicing factor, which is one of the ICI factors, is examined. By doing these, we confirm if the current ICI works correctly or not, and propose a better way for measuring ICIs. In order to do these, we survey and analyze data with basic statistical methods and structural equation model.

The data were derived from the 13th Korea youth risk behavior web-based survey 2017 in Korea and analyzed considering complex samples analysis. The subjects were general families 61,320(98.5%) and multi-cultural families 956(1.5%). Multi-cultural youth had higher rates of unhealthy and unhappy and the percentage of depression, suicidal ideation, weekday and weekend smartphone overdependence, experience problems with using smartphone in friend than general youth. In addition, suicidal ideation 1.270 times, weekday and weekend smartphone overdependence 1.359 times and 1.297 times respectively and experience problems with using smartphone in friend 1.603 times was increased in multi-cultural youth compared to general youth. • The purpose of this study was to investigate the degree of sexual behavior. In particular, this study focused on the self-esteem, internet pornography addiction, and relationship satisfaction of freshmen as important predictors of sexual behavior and examined the dynamics of the relationships among the variables. The participants in this research were 1,806 university freshmen: 932 males and 828 females. All respondents submitted their answers on a self-report questionnaire. The data were analyzed with descriptive statistics and Pearson's correlations that used PASW 18.0, and AMOS 18.0, a statistical program for structural equation modeling(SEM), to estimate the hypothesized structural equation model. The major results of this study were as follows: (1) Relationship satisfactions mediated the relationships among self-esteem, internet pornography addiction, and sexual behavior. (2) Sexual behavior between male and female freshmen showed different influences on the test of the structural model invariance across the groups.

  • The study looked at the impact on the health of the spine caused by the increasing addiction to smart phones, and examine the moderating effect of adjusting spinal health according to cognitive strength. All subjects used the smartphone by measuring the diagnostic scale of the smartphone addiction, the angle of forward inclination of the cervical spine, and the amplitude variation of the cognitive Gamma-Peak of the brain waves. As a result, as the use of smart phones increases, the spine angle significantly increased (p<0.001), as cognitive strength increased, the spine angle decreased significantly (p<0.01). The cognitive strength also showed the effect of adjusting the spine angle through interaction with the degree of use of a smartphone (p<0.05). This results in a higher degree of smartphone use in lower and middle cognition strength groups, which results in a higher angle of forward tilt in the cervical spine.

  • The analysis was conducted for studying the degree of internet addiction and the difference between addicted group and non-addicted group based on usage time. The target group is consisted of 30 people who receive the training at home. The purpose of this training is to reduce digital divide for the disabled with reduced mobility. As a result, the typical user group, less than the 31-point appeared as 4 cases, the potentially dangerous user I group, from 31 to 54 points appeared as 25 cases, the potentially dangerous user II group, from the 54-67 points appeared as only one person. However, there was no game addiction case, more than 67 points. In addition, there was no significant difference in impulsivity and aggression between the high-risk group of 9 persons using internet more than 2.7 hours and the typical user group of 21 persons with less risk. From the result, there are two possibilities. On the one hand, an increase of the usage time for the disabled might not lead to addiction. Or, on the other hand, a measure of addiction for non-disabled might not suitable for the disabled addiction examination.

The analysis of 20-50 aged 494 disabled people resulted, that the smartphone addiction rate of the disabled people was 12.55%. Smartphone use-, mobile messenger-, SNS- and game time were nearly the same or higher than the potential and high risk group from the survey on internet overdependence 2015. In the question about the awareness of smartphone addiction they answered the smartphone addiction is severe in the society, and they are aware of smartphone addiction counseling center. But they will not get a service form the centers. That suggests, that the government should promote the policy of smartphone addiction for the disabled. It should provide institutional strategy and structural change for prevention of smartphone addiction for the disabled.

The main results of the survey and analysis of 1,154 university students located in Gyeonggi Province are as follows. First, the prevalence of Internet gaming disorder among university students was 14.0 percent, which is very high. Second, the perceived stress had a positive correlation with the Internet gaming disorder. The more negatively perceived stress events occurred by university students, the higher the degree of internet gaming disorder was. Third, social support had a negative correlation with perceived stress and internet gaming disorder. The higher the support of parents, friends, and others, the lower the perceived stress and the lower the internet gaming disorder. Fourth, social support partially mediated the relationship between perceived stress and Internet gaming disorder. Even though stress was negatively perceived, the degree of internet gaming disorder was low when social support was high. Fifth, among the lifestyle habits of students, the rate of alcoholism was higher in the Internet gaming disorder group than in the non-disorder group. Finally, the results of the study and ways to prevent Internet gaming disorder among university students were discussed.
