Task-Oriented Approaches to Developmental Coordination Disorder: A Literature Review (발달성협응장애와 과제-중심 접근법(task-oriented approach)에 대한 문헌 고찰)

  • Objective : This study aimed to provide an overview of task-oriented approaches for children with developmental coordination disorder, including its definition, diagnosis, causes, and assessment, through a literature review. Subject : Eighteen international articles published between January 2000 and September 2023 were analyzed to explore the intervention strategies of Neuromotor Task Training (NTT) and Cognitive Orientation to daily Occupational Performance (CO-OP). The objectives of the interventions mentioned in the reviewed articles were categorized according to the criteria of the Occupational Therapy Practice Framework-4 (OTPF-4). The results showed that NTT more frequently set goals in the area of client factors, while CO-OP set goals only in the area of occupation. This difference in goal setting can be explained by the strategy differences between the two interventions. Conclusion : A broader and deeper understanding of strategies for interventions with task-oriented approaches to developmental coordination disorder can increase awareness of the disorder and provide a more solid basis for evidence-based practice.

  • 웹이라는 환경은 다양한 정보원천을 생성해냈고, 온라인 소비자는 시간과 노력의 비용을 줄여 보다 합리적인 의사결정을 하기 위하여 웹 정보탐색을 한다. 특히 인터넷 환경은 정보를 획득하는 비용을 낮춤으로써 유용한 정보원천의 역할을 수행하고 있다(Bakos, 1997; Bar-Ilan, 2001). 그러나 너무 많은 정보는 오히려 소비자들의 의사결정을 방해할 수 있는데, 이때 소비자들은 정보원천에 대한 인지경향, 즉 신념수준을 가지고 자신에게 필요한 정보를 취사선택하게 된다(Schuman and Johnson, 1976). 이러한 관점에서 온라인상에서의 구매의사결정과 관련해서 주요하게 참조되는 정보원천을 파악하는 것은 의미있는 일이라 할 수 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 사전조사를 통해 온라인 주요 정보원천으로 온라인 구매경험, 온라인 구전정보, 판매자 정보를 도출하였다. 그리고 이러한 정보원천이 제품만족, 정보만족에 미치는 영향관계를 알아보고, 이어서 정보만족과 제품만족이 인터넷 쇼핑몰에 대한 소비자의 전반적인 만족에 미치는 영향을 살펴보았다. 분석결과, 온라인 정보원천의 모든 변수들이 정보만족에 유의한 영향관계를 갖는 것으로 나타났으며, 제품만족과의 관계에서는 판매자 제공정보가 유의하지 않게 나타났다. 또한 정보만족과 제품만족 모두 소비자의 전반적인 만족에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이와 같은 결과는 온라인상에서의 정보의 중요성을 입증하는 것으로, 온라인 소비자의 정보원천에 대한 이용과 평가를 이해하는데 새로운 시각을 제공해주고, 정보원천에 대한 관리와 활용에 관한 실무적 시사점을 제시해 줄 것으로 기대된다.

The Study on Automatic Speech Recognizer Utilizing Mobile Platform on Korean EFL Learners' Pronunciation Development (자동음성인식 기술을 이용한 모바일 기반 발음 교수법과 영어 학습자의 발음 향상에 관한 연구)

  • This study explored the effect of ASR-based pronunciation instruction, using a mobile platform, on EFL learners' pronunciation development. Particularly, this quasi-experimental study focused on whether using mobile ASR, which provides voice-to-text feedback, can enhance the perception and production of target English consonants minimal pairs (V-B, R-L, and G-Z) of Korean EFL learners. Three intact classes of 117 Korean university students were assigned to three groups: a) ASR Group: ASR-based pronunciation instruction providing textual feedback by the mobile ASR; b) Conventional Group: conventional face-to-face pronunciation instruction providing individual oral feedback by the instructor; and the c) Hybrid Group: ASR-based pronunciation instruction plus conventional pronunciation instruction. The ANCOVA results showed that the adjusted mean score for pronunciation production post-test on the Hybrid instruction group (M=82.71, SD =3.3) was significantly higher than the Conventional group (M=62.6, SD =4.05) (p<.05).

Development of Reading Strategies to Learn for Integrating Reading and Writing through Creative Writing (창의적 글쓰기를 활용한 읽기와 쓰기 통합지도용 학습독서 전략 개발)

  • The aim of this study is to develop and suggest a reading strategy to learn for integrating reading and writing. The reading and writing strategy could be divided in directed strategies related to the cognitive process and indirected strategies to carry out the process successfully. Therefore, its strategies are constructed of the indirected strategy corresponding with the instructional design model and the direct strategy containing specific action plans of the model's progressive stages. When considering the reading to learn could be run as a program in the school, in this study, the basic model of the indirected strategy is devised with four steps of 'preparing-designing-implementing-evaluating'. And the implementing stage of the read to learn combining reading and writing is consisted of six steps as 'selecting subjects-considering contents-searching-writing-correcting-publishing'. Also, proper indirected strategies such as graphic organization and checklists are suggested in order to assist reading and writing activities in the implementing stage.

  • This study analyzed the effect of fairness of personnel management systems of public organizations on job satisfaction and job performance. For hits, satisfaction, problems, and improvements of personnel management systems were investigated targeting 4 personnel management systems which are being operated in Chungcheongnam-do and analyzed the correlations between job satisfaction and job performance with it. Personnel fairness has the positive effect on job satisfaction and performance of public servants. When personnel management is done by considering career, degrees of work difficulty, and efforts, job satisfaction and performance can increase. This shows that fair personnel management plays the important role in organizations and employees' morale. As the various personnel management systems are being operated in Chungcheongnam-do, the fact that personnel management of public servants is done according to objective evaluation materials and procedures with the same principles should be recognized.

  • To produce quality software products, engineers must feel personally responsible for the qualify of products. Superior products are not produced by mistake; engineers must strive to do quality work. Every engineer is different and has own process improvement method. To be most effective, engineers must plan their work and they must base their plans on their own personal data. To consistently improve their performance, engineers must personally use well-defined and measured processes. The Personal Software Process(PSP) is a self-improvement process designed to help software engineers control, manage, and improve the way they work. It is a structured framework of forms, guidelines, and procedures for developing software. Properly used, the PSP provides the historical data you need to better make and meet commitments and it makes the routine elements of your job more predictable and more efficient. Then, PSP is the very useful tool to train the students in Programming Language Course. An Exploratory Study on Consumers' Design Sensitivity of Luxury Brand Products and non-Luxury Brand Products and Its Effect on Purchase Intention (명품과 비명품 브랜드에 대한 소비자의 디자인 민감도 차이에 대한 탐색적 연구)

  • This study attempts to explore the design sensitivity of both luxury and non-luxury brand products, and its effect on purchase intention. As a result, there was no difference in design sensitivity between luxury and non-luxury brand product, but the effect of design sensitivity on purchase intention was found different between luxury and non-luxury brand. It shows that for luxury brand, the people with high design pursuit of the brand have high purchase intention while for non-luxury brand, the people with high design value of the brand have high purchase intention. It indicates that for luxury brands, consumers already recognize the value of its design, which does not affect the purchase intention. For non-luxury brands, it would be important to let consumers recognize their design value.

  • This study is concerned with proposing a new construct named "spatial metaphor" in the field of user interface design for web. Recently, web has been recognized as an important vehicle of delivering messages and information to customers. Since both hyperlink and multimedia technology are crucial part of web, its user interface requires a new approach to enhance user's acceptance of web. In this sense, we introduced a new concept named "spatial metaphor" instead of hierarchical menus. As a theoretical basis, Davis (1986)'s TAM(Technology Acceptance Model) was used to test the statistical validity of the proposed spatial metaphor. For test web site, we developed a prototype designed by using atomic-web system and spatial metaphor. By using the prototype, we built a web-based questionnaire system so that respondents can use it directly before answering the questionnaire. To prove its statistical validity, we collected valid questionnaires and tested with LISREL. In this way, statistical validity of our proposed approach was proven.approach was proven.

Exploiting Quality Scalability in Scalable Video Coding (SVC) for Effective Power Management in Video Playback (계층적 비디오 코딩의 품질확장성을 활용한 전력 관리 기법)

  • Decoding processes in portable media players have a high computational cost, resulting in high power consumption by the CPU. If decoding computations are reduced, the power consumed by the CPU is also be reduced, but such a choice generally results in a degradation of the video quality for the users, so it is essential to address this tradeoff. We proposed a new CPU power management scheme that can make use of the scalability property available in the H.164/SVC standard. We first proposed a new video quality model that makes use of a video quality metric(VQM) in order to efficiently take into account the different quantization factors in the SVC. We then propose a new dynamic voltage scaling(DVS) scheme that can selectively combine the previous decoding times and frame sizes in order to accurately predict the next decoding time. We then implemented a scheme on a commercial smartphone and performed a user test in order to examine how users react to the VQM difference. Real measurements show that the proposed scheme uses up to 34% fewer energy than the Linux DVFS governor, and user tests confirm that the degradation in the quality is quite tolerable.

A Courseware Design using Metacognitive Strategy (메타인지 전략에 기반한 코스웨어 설계)

  • Most of a courseware evaluated negatively by short of instructional strategy to improve learning effects. Designing a courseware is a time-taking and challenging task. Therefore, a method is required that helps to easily design courseware that is effective to learning. This study proposed a method for designing and management courseware by utilizing a metacognitive strategy. We made a design the coursewase efficiently using concrete instructional model frameworks as metacognitive stragety and tried to improve the quality of courseware for learning effects. We applied our proposed method to teacher's college students in Korea who were taking the "Courseware Development" course. After analyzing it's effects, the responds can design courseware easily and monitor the design direction while their designing. Also, they can design the courseware systematically and implement detail instructional strategy by using concrete instruction model frameworks as metacognitive strategy. However, they were not easy to develop concrete instructional model frameworks at first and we need sharing it among the designers.
