The impact of system factors in mobile payment systems on cognitive trust and emotional responses (모바일 간편 결제의 시스템 특성이 인지적 신뢰 및 감성 반응에 미치는 영향)

  • Various services using smart phones are being provided, and a variety of services are also provided in payment fields. Since the mobile payment services is closely related to the monetary part, various characteristics of the mobile system have a close relation with use trust. In this study, accessibility, compatibility, and security were selected as important factors in the mobile payment systems. We will examine how these system factors affect users' cognitive trust, emotional responses such as positive emotions and satisfaction. We surveyed users of mobile payment systems to achieve our research purposes. SPSS 23 and SmartPLS 2.0 were used for the analysis. The results showed that all system factors influenced cognitive trust and emotional response. However, positive emotions did not affect satisfaction. However, when we examine the relationship between emotional responses, positive emotions do not affect satisfaction.

The Effects by Learners' Characteristics on Scientific Conceptual Changes using Cognitive Conflict Strategy (인지갈등 전략을 이용한 과학 개념변화에서 학습자 특성의 효과)

  • Cognitive conflict plays a very important role towards conceptual change in science education. Many research were conducted on the topic, but they were limited and failed to determine the effectiveness of cognitive conflict strategies for conceptual change on science instruction. It is worth noting that the levels of cognitive conflict varied the same given situation. Besides, the conceptual change resulted in different forms, despite the same level of cognitive conflict. Assuming that one explanation could be found in the learners' characteristics, this study investigated the cognitive conflict and scientific conceptual change by learners' characteristics of middle school students. A proper understanding of the cognitive conflict will help science teachers to apply effectively the strategies towards science conceptual instruction. In this study, learners' characteristics are 'intelligence', 'cognitive level', 'general grade of science subject', 'cognitive style', 'personality', and 'attitudes related to science'. The results says; the intensity of cognitive conflict correlated with students' personality (reflectiveness) and attitudes related to science, and conceptual change correlated with intelligence and cognitive level.

Language style of the President of the Republic of Korea: linguistic and psychological properties in Presidents' Address (대한민국 대통령의 언어스타일: 연설문에 나타난 언어적 특성과 심리적 특성)

  • This study quantitatively analyzed the speeches of the former 8 Presidents of the Republic of Korea. Unlike the previous studies, this study analyzed both the content word and the functional word related to the psychological phenomenon. In Study 1, six language style indicators such as clout, authenticity, presidentiality, cognitive complexity, femininity, and psychological health were developed. Also, as presidential speeches have been made recently, authenticity, presidentiality, psychological health tended to increase, but cognitive complexity tended to decrease. These tendencies were supported by linear trend analysis. The linguistic differences were distinct not only among individual presidents but also by groups based on the political orientation of the president. In the progressive presidential speech, more clout, cognitive complexity, femininity were observed. In contrast, more authenticity and presidentiality were observed in the conservative presidential speech. In Study 2, it was demonstrated whether the developed language style indicators show reliability in the most recent President's speeches. Finally, it was discussed that the relationship between language style indicators, fitness of the political tendency between the regime and the general public since 2000s, and the characteristics of femininity indicator.

A Social Approach as a Metatheory to Understand Everyday Information Practices of the Disadvantaged (사회 취약계층의 일상적 정보행태 연구를 위한 메타이론: 사회적 접근법)

  • The study reviews theoretical and empirical research literature in information needs, seeking and uses in order to search for the most pertinent metatheories for studying information practices of the disadvantaged. The study examines the salient features and main theories/models of each cognitive, affective and social approach in the user-centered paradigm through analyzing prior information practices studies. While analyzing the main features of each cognitive, affective and social approach, the study points out the limitation of research using the cognitive and affective approaches to fail to theorize the relationship between individuals and complex and dynamic socio-cultural contexts in information practices. As an alternative, the study suggests using the social approach as a pertinent metatheory for understanding information practices of the disadvantaged who are entangled with myriad social contexts and issues. In order to verify the pertinence, the study examines the advantages of the social approach through analyzing both the main models related to everyday information practices under social constructionism and the main findings from information practices of the disadvantaged.

A Study on the Relations between Co-cognitive Factors and Leadership of Elementary Mathematically Gifted Students and General Students (초등수학영재 및 일반학생의 인지적 조합요인과 리더십의 관계 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to find out the relation between co-cognitive factors, personal affective and characteristic features as the basis that prompts talented behaviors and leadership. The subjects of the study were 77 elementary mathematically gifted students attending at the gifted education center affiliated with University of Education in D metropolitan city and 110 elementary students in metropolitan city and provinces. The results of this study are as follows. First, elementary mathematically gifted students had higher levels than general students in every subdirectory of co-cognitive factors and the difference was statistically significant. Second, there was a difference between leadership of elementary mathematically gifted students and that of general students. Also, the level of gifted students' leadership was higher than the latter. Third, when it comes to the relation between co-cognitive factors and leadership, both of gifted students and general students showed positive correlation between subdirectory of co-cognitive factors and that of leadership. Consequently, development of co-cognitive factors will lead to improvement of leadership since co-cognitive factors positively influence on leadership. Therefore, it is desirable that co-cognitive factors are considered when developing a program for leadership.

  • 최근 관련 기술의 발전과 디지털 컨버전스의 가속화로 모바일 제품이 소형화, 다기능화 되어 가고 있다. 이러한 경향에 따라, 다양한 기능을 지원하기 위한 높은 사양의 디스플레이가 요구되고 있으며, 많은 업체들이 고화질, 고해상도 디스플레이의 개발에 경쟁적으로 매진하고 있다. 그러나 사용자의 인지적 특성을 고려하지 않은 고해상도 경쟁은 생산비용만 높이는 결과를 초래할 수 있다. 본 연구는 디스플레이의 설계 요소별 선호도를 분석하고, 사람이 탐지할 수 있는 두 자극 간의 최소한의 차이역(difference threshold)인 JND(Just Noticeable Difference)을 활용하여, 설계 요소의 인지적 특성을 파악하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위하여 모바일 제품에 주로 사용되는 TFT-LCD 를 평가 대상으로, 30 명의 피실험자를 대상으로 JND 측정실험을 수행하였으며, 실험결과를 바탕으로 디스플레이에 대한 주요 설계변수들의 특성을 파악하였다. 이 연구결과는 사용자의 선호도를 고려한 모바일 제품의 디스플레이 설계지침으로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

The Effect of Intervention on Improving Cognitive Function of Patients with Dementia in Korea : A Systematic Review of Randomized Controlled Trials (국내 치매환자의 인지기능 향상을 위한 중재의 효과: 무작위 대조군 실험연구의 체계적 문헌고찰)

  • The purpose of this study was to systematically review about randomized controlled trials the characteristics and effect of cognitive function intervention for patient with dementia. We searched studies published from January 2010 to June 2021 in 5 databases. A total 1,104 studies were found and included 27 studies in final analysis. Methodological quality was assessment with the Cochrane's RoB(risk of bias) tool. Mini-Mental State Examination(MMSE) was the most used as the assessment tool for identifying the cognitive function. Cognitive function intervention were exercise, art, cognitive stimulation, reminiscence, music, multimodal cognitive rehabilitation, virtual reality, horticultural, computerized cognitive training, intentional snoezelen, beauty, cooking, korean traditional familiarity program. Most of the intervention except exercise 2, virtual reality 1, beauty 1 were effective in improving cognitive function. This study provided a clinical evidence for planning and implementing intervention for cognitive function intervention. In the future, various intervention studies suitable for the characteristics of dementia should be conducted by improving the quality of research methods.

The Impact of User Interface Types Characteristics on the Information Media Usage Behavior (사용자 인터페이스 유형별 특성이 정보매체 이용의도에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구)

  • Whereas traditional user interface are well accepted modes of information exchange, the new digital conversion type's of information media is relatively complex and provides new means of transaction with user interface. User interface can be decomposed into two component: the physical structure through which information media is controlled, and the presentation of the content. This research explores the two user interface element have different effect on the adoption of information media and, as such, can influence perceived usefulness, perceived easy of use, and intention of use. The hypotheses have been tested with the survey of 148 end-users examines two interface characteristics factors such as efficiency, error, design, entertainment, accuracy, and vividness, and so on. The research summarized in this paper decomposes the influence of interface elements of physical structure interface and content presentation interface to gain a better understanding of how interface stimulates user's perceived usefulness to adopt the information media.

Effects of Elderly Characteristics and Service Characteristics on the Use Intention of Government 24 (고령자 특성 및 서비스 특성이 정부24 이용 의도에 미치는 영향)

  • As non-face-to-face contact was activated due to the progress of the 4th Industrial Revolution and COVID-19, the government's civil service was also rapidly reflecting this phenomenon. However, there were cases in which it was quite burdensome and rather uncomfortable for the elderly who were relatively alienated from the digital culture. Therefore, in this study, we tried to empirically analyze the factors that affect the use of government 24(a government civil integration service) by the elderly. For this purpose, the characteristics of the elderly and the characteristics of services were paid attention. As the characteristic factors of the elderly, cognitive characteristics, psychological characteristics, and physical characteristics were derived, and as service characteristics, usefulness, ease of use, security, and government support were derived when using government 24. The effect of these factors on the intention to use Government 24 was empirically analyzed. For empirical analysis, a survey was conducted targeting the elderly in their 60s and older, and 250 valid sample were used for analysis. The analysis results were as follows. Among the characteristics of the elderly, cognitive characteristics, psychological characteristics, and physical characteristics were all found to had a significant negative (-) effect on the intention to use Government 24. On the other hand, usefulness, ease of use, and government support were found to had a significant positive (+) effect on the intention to use government 24. On the other hand, security was not tested for a significant relationship with government 24 use intention. Among the variables that have a significant impact, the psychological characteristics of the elderly had the greatest impact on the intention to use Government 24. Usefulness, cognitive characteristics, physical characteristics, ease of use, and government support were in order. The fact that this study conducted an empirical analysis by combining the characteristics of the elderly and the characteristics of services was meaningful at the academic level. In addition, considering that psychological characteristics appeared to be the most important factor, it seemed necessary to consider these points to promote the use of Government 24 by the elderly.

Deep learning based environmental sound classification for selective noise canceling (선택적 노이즈 캔슬링을 위한 딥 러닝 기반의 환경 인지 기술)

  • 본 논문에서는 선택적 노이즈 캔슬링을 위한 환경 인지 기술을 제안한다. 기존의 노이즈 캔슬링은 모든 소리를 구분 없이 차단하여 여러 가지 문제를 유발할 수 있으며 공통된 노이즈 캔슬링 동작으로 각 소음에 최적화된 성능을 보장할 수 없다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해 제안하는 방법은 대표적 오디오 특성인 멜-스펙트로그램과 스펙트로그램 기반의 시간적 특성 벡터를 사용하여 환경 인지를 진행한다. 본 논문에서는 attack, rotation, sawing으로 구성된 3가지 소음과 speech, tonal로 구성된 2가지 비 소음으로 총 5가지 클래스를 분류한다. 제안하는 방법에서 특성 벡터로 멜-스펙트로그램만을 사용했을 때 87.5%의 분류 성능을 보였으며, 스펙트로그램 기반의 시간적 특성을 추가했을 때 분류 성능이 91.2%로 향상되었다.
