Local governments within the boundaries of a state need increasing flexibility to satisfy diverse economic, social, and environmental goals in their particular geographical setting. However, many candidates in the local election in South Korea tend to see local politics as an extension of national-level politics. In particular, this paper mainly deals with how the voters' evaluation of a president's performance has influenced subnational elections in South Korea. Our analysis suggests that the fate of candidates in subnational elections is shaped by the performance of the incumbent president in both economic development and foreign affairs.

This study attempt to evaluate the recreation space(two patterns ; one is open space ; forest, water-front space and free open space, the other recreational fercilities) located in the natural area based on clarifying the relationship between the physical conditions of these spaces and human response(users' cognitive evaluation and users' activity pattern). On this standpoint it was proceeded to analyses of the information which was collected by interviews to users who were in this open space at the natural park of Osaka Prefecture. Through this study, the results were summarized as follows ; 1) Forest and waterfront space are considered to be a basic factor of the composition in natural recreation areas. There was difference on the recreational value depending on condition of forest composition. The hardwood-forest apparently high in its efficiency. 2) Free open space is a definite recreational space surely wide in its scope of active of recreational use. The site should be setted up considering the plants conditions around and geographical features according to the recreational activities, and the ground cover should be well controlled. 3) The recreational facilities in natural settings such as the sightseeing tower, the insect display hall, and the camp site appeared to produce low value as a recreational space. It was desirable that recreational activities be allowed within the scope. Consequently, we should carefully consider environmental capacity and landscape to designing these spaces 4) Traditional history and cultural properties are recognized as part of recreational resource as and also as essence of the compositions. So continuos care and proportion of history and cultural properties should be guaranteed.

Oil leaked from underwound storage tanks and leachate from sanitary landfills have been known as contaminant sources of the high-quality groundwater resources. The mobility of contaminants in the aquifer largely depends on the groundwater flow and the determination of associated hydraulic parameters is essential for a proper remediation of contaminated grnundwater. This study aimed at determining an optimum set of hydraulic parameters for an unconfined sandy aquifer of a laboratory scale through comparison of various methods. Results showed that the specific yield obtained from gravity drainage experiment was an average of 0.20 with minor variations in aquifer depths. and the permeabilities obtained from Dupuit approximation and slug test gave similar values of 5.33 cm/min and 5.85 cm/min but the constant head method gave 0.17 cm/min, which is much ion than the other methods. This experimental evidence reveals that the permeability of the unconfined sandy aquifer could be accurately determined by Dupuit assumption or slug tut rather than by constant head method conducted for a disturbed separate soil column.

Objective : The purpose of this study was to systematically review sex differences in episodic memory. Methods : We searched previous studies published in all electronic databases between 2010 and 2019. The key terms used in the search were 'sex differences' or 'gender differences' and 'episodic memory' or 'autobiographical memory'. 8 studies were finally extracted for analysis. Results : The 8 studies had evidence levels of II (67.5%) and III (37.5%), which are quite high. Healthy younger adults or healthy adults were recruited to examine sex differences in episodic memory. Assessment methods for episodic memory were mainly divided into cognitive tasks or standardized tests using visual or auditory stimuli. Subjects were instructed to memorize the stimuli and asked to recall them after some time. Overall females outperformed male. In particular, there were significant sex differences in verbal episodic memory. In contrast, there was no significant sex difference in visual episodic memory. Conclusion : To identify sex differences in episodic memory, a variety of test methods were used in various ways. Overall, females showed higher episodic memory than males. These findings suggest a need for cognitive intervention considering sex differences in the clinic. In the future, episodic memory tests with high ecological validity should be conducted to investigate sex differences in episodic memory.

This paper considers some significances and limitations in application of Rawls' liberal theory of justice to conceptualization of environmental and ecological justice. It first reviews Rawls' liberal theory of justice, then examines how his theory of justice considers natural resources and can be applied to develop distributive theory of environmental justice, and finally explores what kinds of problems would be generated when Rawls' theory of justice is to be extended to animals and other natural components. In Rawls' theory of justice the status of natural resources is described as a objective condition for justice, but it is argued that natural resources should be seen as a substantial component of just production and distribution. It also can be stressed that his theory of justice does not secure a just result of resource distribution, even though it has a great significance for just procedure of distribution. Finally, it seems hardly possible to extend Rawls' theory of justice to animals and other natural components to develop a Rawlsian theory of ecological justice, because liberalism and Western tradition of science on the basis of which Rawls' theory of justice has developed presuppose an ontological dualism of human beings and other natural components, and hence cannot recognize the inherent value of nature.

This paper considers opposition between lawyers to defend human rights which the Pacific Constitution of Japan guarantees and the public power represented by the prosecution's judicial power centered on sentencing in the 'Chatterley Trial' that was a Japanese representative literary trial which occurred after World War II. The lawyers' assertion is against the public power which reminds us of the Press Act before the war defeat. Although censorship is banned in the constitution, and it can be said that it is not a dimension just to protest the check of custom but the struggle not to reenact the past Japan.

본 논문에서는 6 자유도 공간음향 렌더링 기술 관련 음향객체의 거리감 인지에 중요한 공기흡음 감쇠 효과 처리에 있어, 현장의 음원과 음향 센서 사이의 거리인 녹음거리에 해당하는 공기흡음 감쇠가 기본적으로 포함되어 3kHz 이상의 고주파 성분이 감쇠된 음원이 렌더링에 사용되는 문제점을 해결하는 방법을 제시한다. 이 방법에 의하면 6 자유도 공간음향 콘텐츠에 메타데이터로서 녹음거리 파라메터를 포함시키고, 렌더링할 때 공기흡음을 적용하기 위한 음원과 청취자의 거리값에 녹음거리에 대한 보상을 적용함으로써, 음원의 공기흡음 감쇠 효과를 정확하게 수정 적용하여 음원의 음색을 모든 거리에서 실제에 가깝도록 제공할 수 있게 된다. 특히, 원거리 녹음이 불가피한 비행기, 천둥, 폭발음 등 원거리 녹음음원의 음색에 녹음거리에 의한 음원의 공기흡음 감쇠가 적지 않은 영향을 미치게 되는데, 녹음거리의 적용에 의한 제안한 방법에 의해 음원과 청취자의 거리값에 대한 음원의 음색이 고주파영역의 녹음거리에 의한 원치 않는 감쇠를 보상하는 효과를 확인할 수 있었다.

In this study, the effects of the heat treatment and multi-scale hierarchical structures on the durability of the nano-patterned functional PMMA(Poly(methyl-methacrylate)) film was evaluated. The heat treatments that consisted of high-pressure/high-temperature flat pressing and rapid cooling process were employed to improve mechanical property of the PMMA films. Multi-scale hierarchical structures were fabricated by thermal nanoimprint to protect nano-scale structures from the scratch. Examination on surface structures and functionalities such as wetting angle and transmittance revealed that the preopposed heat treatment and multi-scale hierarchical structures are effective to minimize surface damages.

대한건축사협회 50년 동안 제도의 생성과 흐름을 이해하는데 먼저 제도란 무엇인지에 대한 이해가 필요하다. 제도는 규범의 복합체라고 한다. 규범의 내용이 형식화되고 정리되어 공권력을 수반하는 법률에서부터 형식화되지 않은 채 일상생활에서의 막연한 약속과 같은 집단의 도덕적 기준이나 관습에 이르기까지 그 범위는 광범하다. 즉 정치 경제 교육 제도 등에서부터 도덕이나 언어와 같은 것까지 포함한다. 이 제도가 존재함으로써 사회를 구성하는 모든 개인의 행동은 얼마간 틀에 박히고 방향이 부여되기 때문에 사람들을 시행착오의 낭비를 절약하여 큰 불편 없이 어느 정도 자동적으로 행동할 수 있다. 이런 점에서 제도는 사회질서 유지를 그 중요한 기능으로 하는 한편 모든 개인의 자유를 다소나마 규제하고 부자연스럽게 하는 측면도 있다. 모든 개인에 대한 제한이나 속박이 심해져 정상적인 대다수의 개인의 생활요구가 자해되고 억제되는 정도가 지나치게 되면 그 사회의 가치체계나 규범이 흔들리기 시작하며, 마침내는 기존의 제도가 바뀌고 새로운 제도가 생기게 된다고 한다.

This study aimed to empirically analyze the effect of the appreciation of artwork in the workplace on creativity. To this end, two virtual workspace images with and without artwork were created, and an online survey was conducted with office workers. A regression analysis was performed on the results to investigate whether and how much the appreciation and recognition of artwork was effective for the creativity. As a result, among the factors of recognition according to the appreciation of artwork, "intellectual development" and "thinking" showed positive effects on the five sub-factors of creativity at work, such as original flexibility, alternative problem-solving skills, pursuit of adventure and freedom, individual independence, and exploratory immersion. Unlike most previous studies, however, "understanding" had a negative effect on original flexibility. In conclusion, it was found that some of the factors of the appreciation and recognition of artwork had a positive effect on creativity at work. This study provides implications that the appreciation of artwork in the workplace is effective for improving creativity at work and that it is important for each company to develop a streamlined approach based on its goal of pursuing a creative environment. In addition, it is expected that this study will contribute to the widespread use of artwork sharing services at workplaces as well as encouraging more empirical studies to be done on the effect of the services.
