Validity Assessment of Ed-Program & License for Internet IR Specialist (지식산업 전문인력 정책개발을 위한 정보검색사 교육과 자격 시험제 타당성 분석)

  • Searching and retrieving information on the Web that define the core-function of Internet IR specialists is one of the activities that practitioners and searchers of LIS fields do exceptionally yell. Various education programs and license examinations for Internet IR specialists have been carried out by many organizations, without consistent monitoring or objective evaluation of those validity and functionality, which community of information professionals requires. This study focused on investigating the current practice of the education and license exam, and identifying problems that hinder the validity of those programs, and alerting the professionals to enhance and expand serious cooperation to keep up with the evolving interests of Internet IR specialists as a great challenge we all(partners, researchers, and policy-makers in government) face.

Development of Lithium-Ion based Onboard Battery for Space Launch Vehicle (우주발사체 탑재용 리튬이온 배터리 개발)

  • Lithium-ion batteries providing high gravimetric energy density are rapidly replacing Ni-Cd and Ni-H2 in aerospace applications. The main advantage is the weight reduction of the battery system. Weight is a major concern in aerospace applications. Also, lithium-ion offer low thermal dissipation, high energy efficiency, and low cell cost. The Onboard battery module for KSLV-I(Korea Space Launch Vehicle) contains 80 Sony US18650 cells configured as 10 strings in parallel, with each string containing 8 series connected cells. This allows to meet voltage and capacity requirements specified for the mission. In this paper design description and specifications of lithium-ion battery developed are presented. Qualification test flow is also shown to make sure the performance in the predicted space environment. Electrical performance was simulated by dedicated program, and verified with electronic load. Lastly, the capacity was proven on real equipment load assembly.

  • Phthalate plasticizers are regulated by RoHS, REACH and CPSC as hazardous substances. Responding to these international environmental restrictions, we developed ABS certified reference material (CRM) for determination of phthalate plasticizers such as DMP, DEP, DBP, BBP, DEHP and DnOP. The candidate material has been made with ABS resin widely used in electric and electronic products and 6 kinds of phthalate plasticizers. The making of the material involved a series of processes like extruding, cooling, pelletizing, and drying using twin screw extruder. Then it has been certified according to ISO Guide 35. Using isotope dilution-gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (ID-GC/MS), homogeneity, short-term stability, and long-term stability were evaluated. The certified values were determined by using primary reference material (PRM) of KRISS for traceability. From now on, we will provide ABS CRM to national and international companies and research institutes after certification as certified reference material and registering on COMAR (code of reference material).

  • As the interest on the air pollution is gradually rising at home and abroad, automotive and fuel researchers have been studied on the exhaust and greenhouse gas emission reduction from vehicles through a lot of approaches, which consist of new engine design, innovative after-treatment systems, using clean (eco-friendly alternative) fuels and fuel quality improvement. This research has brought forward two main issues : exhaust emissions (regulated and non-regulated emissions, PM particle matter) and greenhouse gases of vehicle. Exhaust emissions and greenhouse gases of automotive had many problem such as the cause of ambient pollution, health effects. In order to reduce these emissions, many countries are regulating new exhaust gas test modes. Worldwide harmonized light-duty vehicle test procedure (WLTP) for emission certification has been developed in WP.29 forum in UNECE since 2007. This test procedure was applied to domestic light duty diesel vehicles at the same time as Europe. The air pollutant emissions from light-duty vehicles are regulated by the weight per distance, which the driving cycles can affect the results. Exhaust emissions of vehicle varies substantially based on climate conditions, and driving habits. Extreme outside temperatures tend to increasing the emissions, because more fuel must be used to heat or cool the cabin. Also, high driving speeds increases the emissions because of the energy required to overcome increased drag. Compared with gradual vehicle acceleration, rapid vehicle acceleration increases the emissions. Additional devices (air-conditioner and heater) and road inclines also increases the emissions. In this study, three light-duty vehicles were tested with WLTP, NEDC, and FTP-75, which are used to regulate the emissions of light-duty vehicles, and how much emissions can be affected by different driving cycles. The emissions gas have not shown statistically meaningful difference. The maximum emission gas have been found in low speed phase of WLTP which is mainly caused by cooled engine conditions. The amount of emission gas in cooled engine condition is much different as test vehicles. It means different technical solution requires in this aspect to cope with WLTP driving cycle.

  • This paper evaluates the achievement of program outcomes using course-embedded assessment for information security programs. In the case study concerning the development of course-embedded assessment used in this paper, we evaluate program outcomes using various evaluation tools including the course evaluation data. In addition, we consider the evaluation rubric and evaluation procedure for course-embedded program outcomes, set performance criteria, select the probe course with high contribution to the program outcomes according to curriculum flowchart, set course objectives for the probe course, and explain the rubric for each assessment tool to measure achievement level. Subsequently, we perform course-embedded program outcomes assessment, based on tests and projectevaluation tool for each program objectives, and present the achievement levels based analysis results. These results prove the effectiveness of the proposed course-embedded assessment for program outcomes.

Data Evaluation Methods for Real Driving Emissions using Portable Emissions Measurement System(PEMS) (PEMS를 이용한 실제도로 주행 배출가스 측정 데이터 분석방법)

  • Recently, an emission test procedure using a portable emissions measurement system(PEMS) has received much attention as an effective means of controlling real driving emissions from light-duty diesel vehicles. The PEMS-based test procedure will be implemented from 2017 in Europe and Korea as a complementary test procedure for certification and regulation. In the present study, on-road NOx emissions were measured for four kinds of Euro 5 Korean light-duty diesel vehicles under real driving conditions, including urban, rural, and motorway test routes. The real driving emission characteristics were evaluated using both a moving averaging window(MAW) and the weighted emission method(WEM). The evaluated NOx emission results (under real driving conditions) from the MAW and WEM showed similar tendencies for the test vehicles and routes, while exceeding the certification emission limit by 1.8~8.5 and 2.0~10.6 times, respectively.

  • 본 논문에서는 기술자격시스템에 대한 관리 운영상의 효율성을 향상시키기 위하여 내부관리시스템을 설계하고 구현하였다. 비정기성 기술자격시스템은 정보처리 관련기업에 개발 및 구현에 대한 전체적인 사항을 위탁업무로 수행하고 처리 결과에 대한 자료를 시행기관에서 인수하여 내부업무를 처리한다. 이러한 관리체계는 추가적 요구정보에 대한 재처리에 많은 문제점을 내포한다. 부가적인 추가적 요구사항에 대하여 재개발 절차가 필요하며 효율적인 업무처리와 관리체계를 수행하는데 불안정한 요소들을 가지고 있는바, 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위한 방안으로 특수 자격 분야에 시범적으로 적용한 내부관리시스템을 제안하였다. 제안된 내부관리 시스템의 기능 평가는 시뮬레이션 방식으로 최소 규모의 파일럿시스템에서 구현 기술을 적용하고 검증 한 후 실시간 기술자격 시험에 시범 적용한 결과 처리 과정상의 안정성과 실용성이 인증되어 대단위 자격시스템에 확대 적용할 계획이다. 위탁기관과 연계하여 부가적 요구정보 처리 시 발생되는 추가 개발기간에 대한 문제점을 해결하였으며 안정적인 시스템 운영상태와 최대의 효율성을 보여주었다. 특히 내부관리시스템을 사용하는 전문가와 비전문가그룹으로 이루어진 자격시행기관의 시스템 평가에서 사용자 편리성과 확장성 부문에 탁월한 평가를 도출하였다. 본 논문에서 설계 및 구현한 내부관리 시스템은 다양한 방식과 구성요소를 통합하여 공통영역을 표준화 한 후, 체계적으로 실시간 자격관리시스템에 적용 될 수 있을 것으로 분석되었다.

  • 본 논문은 반려동물 강아지를 위한 전용 관리 및 지역 애완동물 병원과의 연동을 통한 긴급 조치 서비스망의 구축, 반려동물 강아지를 키우는 사람들의 커뮤니티 운영을 위하여 필요한 스마트 App.과 Web Site에 관한 설계 연구이다. 먼저, 본 논문은 서론에서 기존의 반려동물 강아지의 관리 및 긴급 구조 시스템에 관련된 상표출원 동향을 조사한다. 본론으로, 본 논문은 한이음 프로젝트로서 반려동물 강아지 서비스/시스템/콘텐츠의 설계, 대학생 멘티들이 참여하는 역할분담을 연구한다. 결론적으로, 본 논문은 반려동물의 평상시 관리와 비상시의 긴급구조에 필요한 IoT기반의 스마트시스템과 Web Page, 스마트 단말기에서 작동하는 App.의 설계, 제작, 시험, 인증에 관하여 필요한 준비사항, 시스템 개발의 절차와 지식재산권, 기술문서의 작성법에 관하여 연구한다.

Workflow Procedures and Applications in BIM-based Design for Safety (DfS) (BIM 기반 설계안전성검토의 업무 절차와 활용 방안에 관한 연구)

  • A conventional Design for Safety (DfS), introduced to eliminate potential hazards in the design phase proactively, has encountered persistent challenges, such as perfunctory risk assessments and hazard identifications based on 2D drawings and inefficient workflow processes. This study proposes a BIM-based approach to Design for Safety (DfS) to address the limitations of conventional methods, aiming to enhance efficiency and achieve practical safety management benefits. The proposed workflow process for BIM-based DfS has been refined and validated for on-site applicability through various case studies, including risk assessments during the design phase and field applications for safety management activities during the construction phase. Specifically, the critical process of risk assessment within the DfS methodology has also been transitioned to a BIM-based approach. This BIM-based risk assessment process has been evaluated through case studies, encompassing safety reviews for structural design, construction equipment operation, and construction methodology with sequence in design projects. Additionally, the proposed BIM-based DfS has demonstrated exceptional on-site applicability and efficiency, as validated by the application of a BIM deliverable embedded in DfS information for CDE-based daily activity briefing, VR-based safety training, AR-based mitigation measures inspections, and other safety management activities in the construction phase.

A Study of Innovation Policy regarding Technical Regulation and Conformity Assessment Procedure on ICT Equipments - Focused on Privatization Plan (CT 분야의 기술기준 및 적합성평가시스템의 혁신정책에 관한 연구: 민간화 방안을 중심으로)

  • The technical regulation and conformity assessment procedure of our country on ICT equipments is currently required to have more innovation due to the request of main trade countries, the second phase conclusion of MRA, necessity of expansion of conformity assessment service market and demand of manufacturers. The world's leading advanced countries have already proceeded with innovation based on privatization plan. According to the comparative analysis of the level, it turned out that Japan obtained the highest level of privatization while South Korea ranked the lowest level. According to the research result of examination and certification ability of private institutions of our country, it turned out that our country is expected to have possibility of achieving higher level of privatization than that of the present. Moreover, according to the questionnaire survey conducted to the persons concerned regarding privatization direction, they gave positive response to all the indicated survey contents of privatization direction in terms of "delegation of certification services to private sectors (contracting-out)", "transformation of EMC into private voluntary standard" and "changeover of conformity assessment agent". However, from the view of acceptance and conflict model, it is estimated that starting from "delegation of certification services to private sectors (contracting-out)" seems to be the most advisable plan. Also, prior to privatization, it is required to improve relevant systems such as certification examiner system.
