This study strives to perform a pilot collection assessment study with the political science collection in a university library. Employing the basic list-checking analysis method, the study scrutinized the collection statistics and the circulation statistics, and check the current library holdings with a standard list which was composed of cited works extracted from course syllabi, theses, dissertations and faculty research papers. Although the study is a pilot case study that a particular model was applied to a collection in the field of political science, the result and procedures of the assessment will provide some implications regarding collection assessment in university libraries.

This study suggests a new Hirsch-type composite index, 'transposed g-index' with a different viewpoint on h-index and g-index. From this new point of view, the axes of the graph describing the h-index and g-index are transposed so that the horizontal axis corresponds to the citation frequency threshold and the vertical axis corresponds to the number of documents. Based on this transposed graph, a new indicator transposed g-index is suggested and applied to library and information science researchers' outcomes in Korean Citation Index database. The results show that this new index has more discriminating power than h-index and g-index, and is more sensitive to differences in quantitative aspects than quality of research. It is expected that the transposed g-index will be helpful for the multifaceted evaluation of the research outcome because it has differentiating characteristics that distinguish consistent researchers who continue to study from those who do not.

As a first step in developing a more effective and robust approach to faculty research performance assessment, this study analyzed the existing faculty research assessment methods by comparing Korean universities' research evaluation standards, National Research Foundation of Korea's (KRF) standard for assessing research proposals, and various bibliometric measures. The study data included research evaluation standards of KRF along with 27 Korean universities with Library and Information Science (LIS) department, and the publication data of 183 LIS faculties in Korean universities from 2001 to 2015, which consisted of 3,863 papers 16,978 citations. After the comparative analysis of research evaluation standards, the study examined the rankings of institutions and faculty produced by applying the collected standards and bibliometric metrics to the publication data. The study showed that Korean university standards for research evaluation, which aim to consider both productivity and impact of faculty research, differ from similar bibliometric measures such as h-index, and the difference could significantly impact the assessment of faculty research performance.

The present article is intended to introduce the X-51A Scramjet Engine Demonstrator-Wave Rider (SED-WR) program and its core technologies to the korean propulsion community. The X-51A program is lead by the U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) and is sponsored by the U.S. Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA). Most of the contents is taken from the paper by Hank et al.[1] with the supplemental materials from additional references. X-51A is a hypersonic experimental vehicle for the flight test of the hydrocarbon fuel-cooled scramjet engine developed by the AFRL HyTech program. The scramjet engine and the hypersonic flight technologies may enter the era of practical use by the completion of the ground tests in 2008 followed by the flight tests scheduled in 2009.

This paper presents a core meta-tag of OpenURL written in Key/Encoded-Value format in the field of observation research, to distribute the scientific data, produced in many experimentations and observations, on the OpenURL service architecture. So far, the OpenURL hasn't supplied a meta-tag represented scientific data because it has focused on circulation of scholarly and technological information extracted from thesis, proceedings, journals, literatures, etc. The DataCite consortium metadata were analyzed and compared with the Dublin Core metadata, OECD metadata, and Directory Interchange Format metadata to develop a core meta-tag in observation research.

1. Purpose : This study is a try for making a historical examinatiom of the symptom, principal medicinal substances and prescription of Soyangin Bisoohan-Pyohan disease. 2. Methods : I have examined the changes of the recognition of symptom and the history of the development of prescription by comparing the exterior syndrome of Soyangin, related prescription and principal medicinal substances quoted in "DongYi-Soose-Bowon" with past original texts and "DongYi Bogam". 3. Results and Conclusion : Lee Je-Ma adopted most of the exterior syndrome of Soyangin from Zhang Zhong-jung's "Shanghanlun". But he adopted only a few medicinal substances for prescription and most of prescriptions written after the Song period. The prescriptions for Soyangin Bisoohan-Pyohan disease are fundamentally composed of medicinal substances to lower yinqi and to eliminate the heat of thoracic part caused acording to the degree of symptom and medicinal substances to strengthen damaged yinqi are added to the prescriptions.

This paper was studied on developmental direction of telecommunications for disabilities welfare. Method of this study is delphi method. We present a more complete and accurate catalogue of astronomical records far meteor showers and meteor storms appeared in primary official Korean history books, such as Samguk-sagi, Koryo-sa, Seungjeongwon-ilgi, and Chosen-Wangjo-Sillok. So far the catalogue made by Imoto and Hasegawa in 1958 has been widely used in the international astryonomical society. The catalogue is based on a report by Sekiguchi in 1917 that is mainly based on secondary history books. We observed that the catalogue has a number of errors in either dates or sources of the records. We have thoroughly checked the primary official history books, instead of the secondary ones, in order to make a corrected and extended catalogue. The catalogue contains 25 records of meteor storms, four records of intense meteor-showers, and five records of usual showers in Korean history. We also find that some of those records seem to correspond to some presently active meteor showers such as the Leonids, the Perseids, and the n -Aquarids-Orionids pair. However, a large number of those records do not correspond to suck present showers. This catalogue we obtained can be useful for various astrophysical studies in the future.

This study is about what effect the proverb of the stock has on the investment behavior by the stock investors. It confirmed if the investors knew the stock proverb that had been used in the stock market for a long time, examined the stock investors applied this content to the real investment process, analyzed if the application influenced the investment result. For this, this study selected total 29 stock proverbs about the investment principle, diversified investment, item selection, time of buying and selling, and value tendency which were being used in the stock market and frequently quoted in the stock-related literature to conduct a questionnaire targeting 191 stock investors and analyze the result. As a result of the analysis, it was confirmed the investors of 14% applied the stock proverb to invest and created the profit through it. It is expected the stock investors and the stock market used the analyzed stock proverb statistics through these helpful study and results to apply to the stock investment.

This study suggests the development of a classification system for the Independent Movement Records of the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs based on the collection of Gonghun Digital Archive based on sources, subjects, and media types. First, the classification system by source is organized by hierarchy, and the records classified by source are classified into the second category based on the related keyword. Then, the records are classified into 17 media types. Finally, it is described in the citation order of "source-subject-media type." In addition, a meaningful collection using inductive methods based on the subject words is derived. Finally, Gonghun Digital Archive collections are categorized by media types, sources, and subjects so that users can easily find the records. The result of this study is a classification system to support records retrieval of an independent movement collection, and it will become a basis for expanding the accessibility of the user and the service of independent movement records.
