  • The objective of this research examines the relationships among privacy concerns, self discrepancy, and sense of virtual communities. According to the relevant literature review, we considered information privacy concerns factor as information collection, control, and awareness of privacy practice, and sense of community factor as membership and immersion on virtual communities. This research surveyed for the online community user and employed hierarchical regression model for the moderating effect test. The results of empirical analysis turns out that awareness of privacy concerns practice has negative impact on the self discrepancy, on the other hand, information collection and control factors do not affect. The next finding is internet use duration has moderating effect on the self discrepancy with information control and awareness of privacy concerns practice. The last findings are self discrepancy affect on the community membership and does not affect on the community immersion. It could be a good guide line for the operational direction on virtual community.

  • This paper proposes authority delegation for secure social community creation and mutual authentication scheme between the community members using proxy signature in community-based ubiquitous networks. In community-based ubiquitous network, User's context-awareness information is collected and used to provide context-awareness network service and application service for someone who need it. For the many reason, i.e. study, game, information sharing, business and conference, social community could be created by members of a social group. However, in community-based ubiquitous network, this kind of the context-awareness information could be abused and created by a malicious nodes for attack the community. Also, forgery community could be built up to attack the community members. The proposed scheme using the proxy signature provides a mutual authentication and secure secret key exchange between community members, and supports secure authority delegation that can creates social community. Also, when delegation of signing authority and mutual authentication, this scheme reduces total computation time compared to the RSA signature scheme.

  • In recent days, school violence has been rising as a significant social problem. The occurrence of school violence can be fueled by a wide range of social and environmental contexts, thus it is very difficult to come up with the ultimate solution. Community CPTED program is one of the more comprehensive set of efforts that has been developed to prevent crime in general, and the primary focus of the study is to investigate suitable components of CPTED to prevent school violence based on the physical conditions of communities as well as the perception of residents outside of school grounds, in the vicinity of schools. Three sets of analyses in series were employed in the research. First, Ward's minimum-variance cluster analysis was used to classify the places where school violence can occur outside of school grounds based on the physical conditions recognized by local residents. Next, Importance-Performance Analysis was performed to analyze the perception of local residents about the importance and the effectiveness of CPTED components in preventing school violence. Subsequently, Ordered Logit Model was used to analyze the local residents' awareness on safety regarding school violence in their community space. Combining the results of the analyses, the priority of the community CPTED applications to prevent school violence outside of school was derived. Reflecting the local residents' perception on safety of students in their community, the sense of security in communities against school violence can be reinforced by the communities' sensible efforts in creating safer environment for their students.

  • This article aims to examine the concept and historical background of Applied Theatre and its major characteristics as a newly emerging theatrical practice in recent years. With these aims, the article chronicles the history of how Applied Theatre has developed and formed as an overarching umbrella term that encompasses different theatrical praxis. Given the ambiguity and confusion of this practice, the article argues the importance of recognizing the Applied Theatre's shifting paradigm of subject and object, a crucial element in understanding the practice. Further discussed is the exploration of 'community' in regards to comparing the similarities and differences among Applied Theatre, Community Theatre, and Community-based Performance. The article concludes that the essential comprehension of Applied Theatre's uniqueness comes from noticing and perceiving the paradigm shift that places participants and community as a subject of theatrical transaction rather than as an object, as traditional theatre has done so far.

  • This paper proposed a session key exchange and authentication scheme on non-interactive key distribution algorithm using a community member's ID in ubiquitous networks. In ubiquitous network environment, User's context-awareness information is collected and used to provide a context-awareness service for someone who need it. However, in ubiquitous network environment, this kind of the Context-awareness information could be abused by a malicious nodes. The proposed scheme using the community member ID provides a session key exchange and mutual authentication between community members, and supports secure data communication. Also, when exchanging the session key and authenticating each other, this scheme reduces communication overhead and authentication delay compared to the AAA server scheme.

  • This Study is to propose the archival description in accordance with the paradigm shift of the archival science. The academic world of archival science in North America treated the electric record in 1990 and the authenticity of electric record in the beginning of 2000, the flow of Study recognizing the microscopic and the cultural discussion appeared recently. This may be called the paradigm shift of archival science. This may be according to the influence of the informatization and the technology. However, the community archives, the everyday life archives recognizing the microscopic and the cultural discussion, etc. Namely, the everyday life, the village, the community archives are the effort to leave the excluded and the neglected voices from the existing discussion of archival science on record. However, the currently existing methodology to archive the community archives based on the perception of these switched recognition is limited. Especially the description of the various standards being used in the public territory is being adapted as it is. The characteristic and the individuality of the community and the community archive cannot be reflected through the archival description standard. We should understand the community archive in accordance with the paradigm shift, need the archival description method capable of expressing this suitably. The post-standard not the existing archival description method has been necessary. This should be carried out together in accordance with the view point of the paradigm shift and the view point of the objective and the direction of community. Hence, first the archival description and the paradigm shift have been examined theoretically and the archival description of community archive being operated currently has been analyzed. The archival description is to be proposed in accordance with the paradigm shift capable of calling 'the archival description of Korean Human Right' by pointing out the limit of archival description standard through the analysis and further by investigating the archival description of the fraternity archive project.

  • Nowadays, the navigation system is very popular to general public and the study of landmarks has an important role to develop the cognitive systems for regional navigation. The city image is composed of landmarks that are well-known to regional community and they are the reference frame for place recognition in urban navigation. In general, the case of navigation can be categorized as two kinds. The first is to explore the new region and the second is to navigate the familiar region. In case of latter, the city image has a critical role in place recognition for regional community. Place recognition of a community might be a knowledge-based inference on the basis of city image which is composed of the systematically connected places. In this study, the mental structure of urban image is regarded as a hierarchical knowledge and represents it as domain ontology for the regional navigation of a community. The city image of a community is assumed as the collection of landmarks, which are categorized as anchor, distant and local according to spatial familiarity of community. Representing city image as a regional knowledge using ontology modeling method is an essential step to make the geographical assumption of a regional community explicit and reusable for the regional agents who will provide the regional guide in LBS age.
