Sensorless Operation of Low-cost Inverters through Square-wave High Frequency Voltage Injection (사각 고주파 주입을 통한 저가형 인버터의 센서리스 운전)

  • In this paper, the efficiency of a sensorless method with square-wave injection for a low-cost inverter, so called B4 inverter is presented. This inverter comprises only 4 switches to reduce system cost. It is distinguished from the conventional B6 inverter that has 6 of switching elements. The B4 inverter, injected a 1 kHz of harmonic wave, has been modelled using the functions and library in Matlab/Simulink. This paper described each component of sensorless algorithm. Among them, the Notch Filter is used to extract the harmonic component of the phase current and a second-order low-pass filter was used to reduce the ripple of the estimated speed. It is shown through simulation that the rotor angle of a permanent magnet synchronous motor is detected by multiplying the current waveform extracted using the notch filter by the harmonic voltage. The feasibility of the proposed method is shown through Simulink simulation.

Simulator for 3 Phase Induction Motor with LCL Filter and PWM Rectifier (LCL 필터와 PWM 정류기를 이용한 3상 유도전동기의 시뮬레이터)

  • A dynamo set for a high-power induction motor drive is expensive and needs a long time to manufacture. Therefore, the development of a simulator that functions as the induction motor and load equipment is required. A load simulator of an inverter for a high-power three-phase induction motor consists of a reactor and three-phase PWM inverter. Therefore, it cannot simulate the dynamic characteristics of an induction motor and functions only as a load. In this paper, a real-time simulator is proposed to simulate a model of an induction motor and the load characteristics based on an LCL filter and three-phase PWM rectifier for a three-phase induction motor. The currents of a PWM inverter that simulate the stator currents of the motor are controlled by the inductor currents and capacitor voltages of the LCL filter. The capacitor voltages of the LCL filter simulate the induced voltages in the stator windings by the rotating rotor fluxes of the motor, and the capacitor voltages are controlled by the inductor currents and a PWM rectifier. The rotor currents, the stator and rotor flux linkages, the electromagnetic torque, the slip frequency, and the rotor speed are derived from the inverter currents and the motor parameters. The electrical and mechanical model characteristics and the operation of vector control were verified by MATLAB/Simulink simulation.

  • This paper describes the field test results of IGBT VVVF inverter for the railway propulsion system. The 1,650kVA IGBT VVVF inverter has been developed. Therefore, the field test is performed in SMG 6 Line to confirm its the reliability and performance. The train consists of 4M4T and the electrical equipment for field test are as follows : VVVF inverter 4 sets, 16 traction motors and 2 SIVs. The propulsion system is composed with 1C4M(1-Controller 4-Motors). The results of propulsion system which have the excellent acceleration/deceleration and the jerk characteristics as well as starting ability on slope are taken through the field test.

  • GMA용접은 높은 생산성과 자동화 효율로 널리 사용되고 있다. 그러나 종래의 인버터 용접기는 스패터 발생이 높고 고속용접이 어려운 단점을 가지고 있다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위해 와이어 송급 전후진을 가능하게 하는 장치를 개발하였고 개발된 장치를 H사의 펄스용접기에 장착하여 기계적 제어(와이어 전후진 고속 송급제어)를 통해 저스패터와 고속 용접이 가능한 기계적 전류파형을 개발하였다. 스패터는 단락과 아크발생시에 높은 전류로 인해 발생되기 때문에 기계적 제어를 통하여 Fig. 1에 보는 바와 같이 낮은 전류에서 단락과 아크발생이 일어나 스패터 발생이 줄어들게 되고 기계적 제어를 통해 단락과 아크발생 주기가 일정하게 되어 아크의 안정성 및 고속용접에 유리하게 된다. 개발된 기계적 파형을 이용하여 가장 스패터 발생이 많은 재료인 스틸과 $CO_2$를 보호가스로 하여 용접전류와 용접 속도를 변화시키며 실험한 결과 저스패터 및 1.5m/min이상의 용접 속도에서 안정된 비드를 얻을 수 있었다.

  • 일반적으로 3상 BLDC 전동기 구동을 하기 위해서는 6-스위치 인버터와 회전속도를 제어하기 위해서는 회전속도와 회전자 위치에 대한 정보를 필요로 한다. 본 논문에서는 3상 BLDC 전동기 구동을 위한 방법으로서 4-스위치 인버터와 회전자 위치를 간접적으로 검출하는 센서리스 구동방식을 제안하였다. 또한 4-스위치 구동에 대한 문제점을 개선하기 위하여 Voltage Doubler를 이용함으로써 기존 방법에 비해 전체 구동 시스템의 비용과 크기를 줄이는 효과를 얻을 수 있고 BLDC 전동기 성능을 향상시킬 수 있다.

  • This paper deals with a method to minimize the welding time for an AC spot welding system. The spot welding system using a conventional SCR type circuit has a disadvantage of slow control speed and no precise current control. Therefore, recently, the using of inverter type welding system is increasing. Conventional welding machine adopts several tens of switching devices connected in parallel to obtain a huge current of several thousands ampere with a short welding time. This paper analyzed a welding system consisting with 4 IGBT switches for a full-bridge inverter and conventional 60 [Hz] transformer. The simulation and experimental results show the validity of the proposed method.

  • In this paper, a vector control system is implemented to drive CRPWM inverter fed induction motor. The rotor flux is estimated using the rotor coordinates flux model and the stator coordinates ramp comparison controller is used as a current controller. The microcontroller 80C196 is used for the computation of the estimation of the rotor flux, the speed controller, the flux controller, the vector rotation, and the phase transformation The current controller is implemented using the analog circuit in order to reduce the burden of the microcontroller. For the proposed system, the digital simulation is performed to examine the feasibility and the superior characteristics of the current controller and the system transient response is verified through the experiment.

  • In this paper the problems associated with the switching surge of PWM inverter devices were analysed. As the application of ASD for efficient speed control of AC rmtors is increased, so is the rrntor and ASD-related failure increased. In the industrial rmtor awlications, the introduction of PWM drives can sometmes cause insulation breakdown between the phase windings due to high transient voltage peak. The motor cable length combined with the high switching frequency becomes more sensitive issue for proper drive operation. Effects of the cable length and high switching frequency influence both on rmtor and inverter. When the insulation level of rmtor winding is low, the failure probability caused by high peak voltage and fast voltage rise times(dv/dt) is high. Voltage refloctions are simulated far rmtor capacities, ASD and rise times and are presented graphically. The filtering techniques are discussed to reduce the rmtor terminal overvoltage and dv/dt in inverter fed AC rrntor drive systems. We confirmed that the lower motar capacity and rmtar insulation level, the shorter switching time and cable length and the higrer the probability of insulation breakdown .kdown .

  • Switched reluctance motor(SRM) has the advantages of simple structure, low rotor inertia and high efficiency. However, position sensor is essential in SRM in order to synchronize the phase excitation to the rotor Position. The Position sensors increase the cost of drive system and tend to reduce system reliability. This paper investigates the speed control of sensorless SRM in which the Phase current and change rate are utilized in position decision, and the period of dwell angle is variable for speed control. The proposed system consists of Position decision circuit, speed controller, digital logic commutator, switching angle controller and inverter The performances in the proposed system are verified through the experiment.

  • 본 논문에서는 가동물체형 AFPM 파력 발전기용 시뮬레이터 구현 및 실험을 수행하였다. 파력 발전기는 파도의 에너지를 이용하여 부이의 움직임에 따라 발전하는 방식이다. 기존의 소형 파력 발전 시스템의 경우 단순히 전파 정류하여 축전지에 충전하는 방식을 사용한다. 그러나 전파 정류기를 사용하는 경우 파도에 속도에 따른 최적의 발전량을 제어하지 못해 발전 효율이 떨어지는 단점이 있지만, 인버터를 사용하는 경우 속도에 따른 발전량을 순시 적으로 제어할 수 있어 발전 효율을 높일 수 있다. AFPM 파력 발전기의 제어를 위하여 전류제어기와 센서리스 알고리즘을 구성하였으며 구현된 제어기는 파력 발전 시뮬레이터 실험을 통하여 회전자 위치 추정 및 속도에 따른 제어 성능을 확인하였다.
