Amid growing social interest in child abuse, and announced the seriousness of child abuse crimes and aroused public interest in related issues. Based on true stories and characters, both films created unique narratives about child abuse cases, but drew on the traditional representation and discursive construction of child abuse news articles. By setting the stepmother as the perpetrator and the father as the neglecter, the gender role of women as primary caregiver was reconfirmed and the stereotypical image of the 'evil stepmother' in popular narratives was exploited. The cinematic reenactment of the evil stepmother not only highlighted the normative family discourse, but also reinforced the maternal myth by emphasizing the binary opposition between the evil stepmother and the lost birth mother.

This article analyzed the new changes Hong Kong director Lin Chaoxian has brought to theme films of Mainland China and the factors affecting these changes. The objects of the analysis are Lin Chaoxian's films (2016), (2018), and (2020). Compared with Mainland China directors suffering from heavy political burden, Dante Lam directed theme films based on the model from commercial films and adopted lots of elements from Hong Kong films. There, the ideology expression in these theme films was no longer rigid, but a diversified value embodiment resonating with the audience. At the same time, these theme films achieved higher commercial value, in which the stereotyped and unrealistic hero images were replaced by realistic and compound characters, and the display of cool or violent action scenes contributed to lots of visual feasts. All the changes were influenced by the audience preferences and the development of private enterprises in Mainland China.

This study analysed the narrative strategies in TV drama utilized in order to support the recent feminism movements. The analysis revealed that this TV drama breaks away from the clichéd patriarchal drama series. It portrays the main characters are not the sons but the two daughters-in-law, and represents the women challenging the order of the patriarchy, and resolving the issues. In this drama, men's power was removed and female agents were held up to ridicule. In addition, it eradicates the traditional female conflict structures and creates a strong bond between the females. With this storyline, TV series concludes with two achievements. One, the stepmother and the mother co-parent the child instead of the father, suggests that a non-blood related matriarchal family is possible. Two, the heir to the chaebol family, which is traditionally a patrilineal structure, is not the oldest son or the immoral son, but the lesbian daughter-in-law, overturning the idea of heteronormativity that is dominant in the patriarchal system.

This study explores the possibility that the figure of the Estill Voice Training model, which is based on speech science, can contribute to the expansion of vocal expertise in the acting art where an actor creates a character. The purpose of this study is to examine the usage plan. The training model through the fluidity and structural functionality of the voice production organ is differentiated from the existing voice training that focuses only on the results of sound due to its ambiguous abstraction. Developing the voluntary coordination ability of the occipital region and vocal tract, such as False Vocal Folds, Cricoid Cartilage, Velum, AES, and Anchoring, has scientific efficiency that makes it easier to produce artistic target sounds, and it is a technical skill that can creatively overcome the functional limitations faced by actors. It can be used as a methodology. The Estill model Figure, which is a principle training for harmony and coordination between the elements of voice production, has a practical value that can be used as an alternative training model for the voice education of actors in Korea, where images and abstractions are the mainstream.

TV program favorability does not necessarily lead to actions related to programs such as producing videos, emotions, webtoons, and goods, participating in concerts, and fan meetings. Therefore, there might be a mediating variable between program favorability and related behaviors. This study presents relationships as a mediating variable. This study assumed that if the program favorability is high, a positive relationship can be formed with the program, the characters on the show, the groups appearing in the program, the viewers who watch it together, and viewing affordance. Those formed relations can have positive effects on the program related activities. In the conducted online survey, we found that high favorability has positive effects on intimate relationships with the program, viewing affordance, characters, and other viewers, and these relationships have positive effects on program-related offline and online activities. However, the relationship with the character group has a negative effect on program-related behavior. This may be the result of viewers feeling alienated from highly intimate relationships formed among characters appearing in the show.

The 3D animation is designed to announce the sacrifices of soldiers who sacrificed their lives to protect the country in the middle of the vast ocean and to commemorate their souls, and contains tense moments during the battle through 3D objects and slow motion. In this paper, I examined the use of slow motion using characters and sculptures in the video and the characteristics of commemorative sculptures commemorating the war, and described in detail the animation process using slow motion and sculpture objects expressed in . I hope this study will be help to animation and video producers who want to produce slow motion animation using sculptures in the future.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the gesture features on the personalities of Navi characters in . In order to analyze the personality type of characters, the study applied the classification of Enneagram based on script of . The character features are classified according to character types, then the metaphorical character of the expression is obtained through gesture analysis in . Consumers changed to the subject to produce a digital contents as data transmission technique is advanced and a digital machine is diffused variously. Users are interested greatly in a user creative movie (UCM) production among various online contents. The UCM production method which uses the music and picture is the method that users make the UCM more easily. However, the UCM production service has the problem that any association does not exist in the music and picture and that the picture changes according to fixed time interval without the relation at a music rhythm. To solve this problem, we propose the UCM production method which uses a music analysis and picture analysis in the paper. A music analysis finds a picture change time according to the rhythm and a picture analysis finds the association of the picture. A music analysis finds strong parts of the sound which uses Root-Mean-Square (RMS). And a picture analysis classifies the picture as a scenery picture and people picture which uses structure simplicity of the picture(SSP) and face region detection. A picture analysis got correct result of 86.4% in the experiment and we can finds the association at each picture and arranges the sequence which the picture appears. Therefore, if we use a music and picture analysis at the UCM production, users may make natural and efficient movie.

The wall paintings of the Afrasiab Palace in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, located at the center of the Silk Road where the culture of the East and the West crossed from ancient times to the Middle Ages, have been unearthed in 1960s and attracted attention from academia. In particular, two characters wearing a Korean ancient hat (Jougwan), who were considered to be ancient Korean, were found in the western wall. The wall depicted the Coronation of King Barfuman of Sogdiana Kingdom in 7th century. It is being used as an important feed for studying the international situation and cultural characteristics at that time. This mural, which is now in the Historical Museum of Afrasiab, contain four different paintings at each side, and has its own cultural characteristics and elements. Nevertheless, there has been no development of storytelling and cultural contents using it. The purpose of this study is to find out how to develop and utilize cultural contents and characters based on the paintings of west wall of Afrasiab palace. To this end, we visited the museum and investigated the mural as well as surveyed many academic materials.

The purpose of this study is to understand the content characteristics in YouTube videos of the National Archives of Korea. For this purpose, keywords, video data, and viewer responses were collected for 324 videos posted by the National Archives of Korea for five years since April, 2017. Social network analysis, topic modeling, and content analysis were performed. Based on this, the main keywords leading the YouTube videos of the National Archives of Korea, 7 major topics and 20 sub-topics were identified. The characteristics of the YouTube videos and keywords network were studies. In addition, video characteristics were analyzed as external characteristics, video editing and delivery methods, and content characters. The study found that the YouTube channel of the National Archives of Korea has been posting the videos related to various topics such as places, history, and events as well as the basic functions of the archives to induce viewers' interest in the archives. The study also identified the areas that needed to be improved such as low response from viewers, lack of content that could interest viewers, and lack of channel operation to interact or communicate with viewers. Finally, the study was concluded with a proposal to spread the videos of the National Archives of Korea to more users.
