본 논문에서는 등장 인물 검출 및 인식과 함께 등장 인물의 출연 구간 분석이 가능한 시스템을 제안한다. 드라마, 스포츠와 같은 방송 비디오는 그 특성상 인물이 중심이 되며 각 시점에 등장하는 주요 인물은 방송용 비디오의 중요한 특징이 된다. 따라서 방송용 비디오의 중요한 특징인 등장 인물을 분석하여 효율적인 비디오 관리 시스템을 개발할 수 있다. 본 논문에서 제안된 ACAV(Automatic Characters Analysis in Videos) 시스템은 등장 인물을 검출하여 인물 DB에 등록하는 FAGIS(FAce reGIStration)와 생성된 인물 DB을 이용하여 등장 인물을 분석하는 FACOG(FAce reCOGnition)로 구성된다. 상용화된 등장 인물 분석 시스템인 FaceIt과의 성능 비교를 통해 ACAV의 성능을 검증하였다. 얼굴 검출 실험에서 ACAV의 얼굴 검출률은 84.3%로 FaceIt 보다 약 30% 높았고, 얼굴 인식 실험에서도 ACAV의 얼굴 인식률은 75.7%로 FaceIt 보다 27.5% 높은 성능을 보였다. ACAV 시스템은 방송 멀티미디어 공급자를 위한 대용량 비디오 관리 시스템으로 이용될 수 있으며 일반 사용자를 대상으로 한 PVR(Personal Video Recorder), 모바일 폰 등의 비디오 관리 시스템으로도 이용될 수 있다.

The purpose of this study is to identify the current trends and characteristics of Korean internet searchable Web-based biographical resources by analyzing and evaluating in practices. Four among Korean Web-based biographical resources which have the comprehensive scope are chosen and evaluated by the 9 criteria and their detailed features. This study will allow users and reference librarians to more easily choose pertinent biographical references from the many internet resources. It will be also helpful by allowing publishers to produce more effective biographical information in quality.

Human-human interaction network derived from Roman-fleuve, Togi was constructed. The network has a scale free properties as if most social networks do. The Togi is excellent model system for analyzing network dynamics because it has various characters and complex their interactions. The novel is composed of well-separated 5 sections. I constructed 5 different sub-netwotks from each section. As employing k-core algorithm as a useful tool for obtaining a core network from the complex networks, it is possible to obtain hidden and valuable information from a complex network. As gradually extending one section to another one, I constructed 4 different extended networks. The final one is whole network from the Togi. These results provide new insight that is analyzed by network-based approaches for network dynamics from literature, Togi.

The purpose of this study is to investigate and analyze the status and characteristics of Web-based biographical information sources. Hence, this study examined the current status of Web-based biographical sources in China, Taiwan, Japan, and the U.S. It also conducted a comparative analysis of family names from the subject dictionary and Biography of China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), reference books of China and the Chinese Historical Biographical Database and the China Biographical Database Project (CBDP) of the U.S. Furthermore, the problems related to status investigation and analyses of the Chinese biographical sources were studied. In this study, some suggestions were made to improve the management and usability of those biographical information sources in China and Korea.

The person information is a database given free most lively. This study investigates the construction of the domestic person information database and the service present situation. And I compare a search item and a search method with problems for the biographical database construction process and analyze it. I analyze the problems of the person information database and show the person idea who can solve this. I use term relations and the attribute data of the person which used thesaurus by biographical database construction with this purpose.

In this paper, we propose a system that can analyze appearance interval of casts by detecting and recognizing casts in broadcasting videos. The cast is one of the most important characteristics in broadcasting videos such as drama and sports. In this paper, we propose the ACAV(Automatic Cast-list Analysis in Videos) system that analyzes cast-list automatically in video. The ACAV system consists of FAGIS(FAce reGIStration) which registers detected faces into the face DB and FACOG(FAce reCOGnition) that analyses the cast-list in video sequence using the face DB. We evaluate performance of the ACAV system by comparing with FaceIt, one of the most well-known commercial systems for the cast-list analysis. The ACAV shows face detection and recognition rates of 84.3% and 75.7% that are about 30% and 27.5% higher than those of FaceIt, respectively. The ACAV system can be applied to mass broadcasting videos management system for broadcasters and video management system of PVR(Personal Video Recorder) and mobile phone for the public.

Humans are social animals that have gained information or social interaction through dialogue. In conversation, the mood of the word can change depending on the sensibility of one person to another. Relationships between characters in films are essential for understanding stories and lines between characters, but methods to extract this information from films have not been investigated. Therefore, we need a model that automatically analyzes the relationship aspects in the movie. In this paper, we propose a method to analyze the relationship between characters in the movie by utilizing deep learning techniques to measure the emotion of each character pair. The proposed method first extracts main characters from the movie script and finds the dialogue between the main characters. Then, to analyze the relationship between the main characters, it performs a sentiment analysis, weights them according to the positions of the metabolites in the entire time intervals and gathers their scores. Experimental results with real data sets demonstrate that the proposed scheme is able to effectively measure the emotional relationship between the main characters.

This study aimed to apply the principle of the semantic network to a long novel in an attempt to understand the structure of the entire document and the manifested relationships between words and words. The costume expressions in Murakami's novel Norwegian Wood were analyzed based on the characters' symbols, relationships, and personality characteristics. The study identified the symbols of the characters in the novel and the relationship properties between the characters through the Clauset-Newman-Moore clustering algorithm. The descriptions and symbols of the relationships between the characters were identified within the worldview that the author had intended. Further, it was confirmed that the expression of each costume according to the character's personality was also connected to the clue that explained said character. This fusion study is academically significant in that it presents a new methodology for analyzing literary works

The analysis of the various settings for modal Composition used for characterization of the characters in an epic movie. We set the mode along the role of the profession, gender of the characters in the movie. The mode is used, from Gregorian chant. Analysis reveals the Dorian, Phrygian, Lydian, Mixolydian, Aeolian, Locrian, Ionian character of the seven total Mode how the character is portrayed in the characters for each Mode specificity. The analysis of the reasons for the musical approach and the nature of the characters cited for Mode a portion of Plato's [Republic].
