This study examined the institutional improvement directions of industrial security programs, particularly focusing upon policies and practices in the U.S., to enhance the effectiveness of industrial security programs in Korea. This study also aimed to investigate the significance of institutional and/or policy implementations in preventing economic espionage attempt. Data leakage and/or loss of trade secrets in corporations has been a scary proposition and a serious headache to both the CEOs and the CSOs(Chief Security Officers). Security professionals or practitioners have always had to deal with data leakage issues that arise from e-mail, instant messaging(IM), and other Internet communication channels. In addition, with the proliferation of wireless and mobile technology, it's now much easier than ever for loss by data breaches to occur, whether accidentally or maliciously or even by an economic espionage attempt. The researcher in this study used both a case study and a comparative research to analyze the different strategies and approaches between the U.S. and Korea in regard of implementing policies to mitigate damages by economic espionage attempts and prevent them from occurring. The researcher first examined the current policies and practices in the U.S. in terms of federal government's and agencies' approach and strategies on industrial security programs and their partnerships with private-commercial-sectors. The purpose of this paper is to explain and suggest selected findings, and a discussion of actions to be taken on implementing a proactive and tactical approach to enhance the effectiveness of industrial security programs to fight against information loss or data leaks. This study used case reviews, literatures, newspapers, articles, and Internet resources relating to the subject of this study for triangulation of data. The findings during this research are as follows. This research suggests that both the private and the governmental sector should closely cooperate in the filed of industrial security to strengthen its traditional prevention strategies and reduce opportunities of economic espionage as well. This study finally recognizes both the very importance of institutional development led by the Government in preventing economic espionage attempts and its effectiveness when properly united with effective industrial security programs.

Purpose: This study aimed to identify how an education program on palliative care affects nursing home caregivers' perception of hospice care and attitude towards terminally ill patient care. Methods: This study was conducted using a nonequivalent control group with a pretest-posttest design. The participants were 101 certified care workers: 58 in the experimental group and 43 in the control. The experimental group completed the palliative care education program consisted of 20 hours of classroom training and 20 hours of clinical practicum. An ANCOVA was performed to compare the score changes to outcome variables. Results: Compared with the control group, the experimental group showed significant pretest-posttest differences in both the perception of hospice care (F=21.09, P<0.001) and attitude towards caring for terminally ill patients (F=13.28, P<0.001). Conclusion: These results indicate that the palliative care education program for caregivers is effective in preparing participants to provide hospice/palliative care service. Further study is warranted to explore the effects of this program on palliative caregivers' performance.

Research on the development and effectiveness of internet-based cognitive-behavioral therapy with a trauma focus (iCBT-T) has been actively conducted in Western societies, but these studies have just begun in Korea. The purpose of this study was to suggest practical considerations to developing and managing the iCBT-T program. After reviewing previous studies on iCBT-T, this author suggested a model of convergence and collaboration between mental health knowledge and information and communication technologies (ICT) to develop the iCBT-T program. This article outlines practical considerations, including focus and target groups of iCBT-T, intervention types of iCBT-T (open access vs. guided), number of sessions, ethical issues, professional support, and degree of user involvement. Methods to complement the limitations of internet as a medium are also proposed in the iCBT-T program. The convergence model of CBT-T and ICT is expected to promote the development of programs that can contribute to improving the mental health of users who experience traumatic events.

The article concerns the public policy for the development of the arts educator in the field of the comic and animation education. The comic and animation education programs are focused on the promotion of the creativity and communication skills of the student in terms of the arts education. The article seeks to examine the case on the support program for the comic and animation educators, which has been managed by Korea Arts & Culture Education Service(KACES) since 2005. The forty two educators were surveyed. As a result, the support program of the KACES has an effect on the educator's recognition of the comic and animation education in the positive way. The most of the educators suggest that the support program should try to develop the comic and animation educator job as a special work with the full time job. In this repect, the article recommend the policy alternatives such as the promotion of the education program R & D, the knowledge and information system, training system and the establishment of the governance system.

This research is aiming to develop Semiconductor equipment maintenance certification course to train qualified maintenance experts more effectively requested in related semiconductor industry. In the course of research, we adopted diverse research technique such as interview, on-spot investigation, documentary references to analyze current status of related training facilities, and forecast the population of test applicants. We analyzed similar certification course(Craftsman SMT, Industrial Engineer SMT, Craftsman Mechatronics, Industrial Enginee Mechatronics, et) as reference to set up job objectives and curriculum of semiconductor equipment maintenance certification. We conducted survey on expectations on newly created certificate, presented evaluation standard and objective of test, and preliminary writing test and demonstration test. Based on the result of various research, we were able to present training program for semiconductor equipment maintenance certification and set the assessment standard of qualification exam.

The importance of software technologies is becoming more prominent because of the competition to secure a competitive edge in software, which has been intensified since the emergence of smartphones and IoT. Thus, to assure the initiative in the global software industry and to foster superior human resources, there is a growing need for outstanding software development professionals. This paper analyzes the factors that affect the basic perception of software, the need for software development, and the enhancement of software coding ability based on a compulsory software class, which aims to increase the workforce of the converged software industry. The analysis shows that among other technical practices to enhance coding ability, learner-centered technical contents showed the most positive effect regarding the recognition and motive of development and are an essential factor in improving coding skills. The findings indicate that the need for program development and active involvement in the development of the program are the most important factors in improving the practical ability. The analysis presents meaningful results by suggesting a methodology for improving software development capabilities.

Recognizing that the fundamental cause of construction safety accidents was a lack of safety management activities in the planning and design phases, the government made the Design for Safety (DFS) system mandatory in May 2016. However, awareness among ordering parties and designers regarding this system is significantly low, and the system has not been properly established due to reasons such as the need for additional work and a lack of professional manpower. In this study, the awareness of ordering parties and designers of the DFS system was analyzed through a survey, various problems in DFS work execution were identified and measures for improvement were presented. Measures to improve the efficiency in DFS work execution involve the discovery of risk factors and establishment of countermeasures, and here the establishment of a DFS work support system that enables the sharing of information between institutions is the most urgent priority. In addition, it is also urgently necessary to establish a dedicated organization in charge of DFS work, cultivate professional manpower, develop the relevant education programs and establish a proper cost calculation standard for DFS work execution by design offices.

This study carried out field evaluation by experts, monitoring by the public, and visitor satisfaction survey for 77 cases of utilization of cultural property projects that received support from "Living and Breathing Hyanggyo and Seowon" in 2016. The result was 'normal' for the comprehensive evaluation, and by section, 'good' for planning, operating, performance, outcome and annual special index. The field evaluation by experts was rated as 'good', monitoring by the public was 'good', and also 'good' for visitor satisfaction survey. The advantages of the project were as follows; increased chance for enjoyment of local cultural heritage, expansion of human network for utilization of local cultural heritage, utilization of cultural heritage as community place, diversification of educational contents by using cultural heritage. On the other hand, the disadvantages were as follows; decline of program's quality, shortage of putting plan in practice, insufficient interest and participation of local government, insufficient promoting, shortage of educational contents for free semester system. At last, we suggested measures to develop the project as follows; develop program by using local characteristics, develop programs for foreigner, training experts, increasing on-line promotion, develop new lecture technique, utilization of cultural heritage as a local community place, utilization planning by each space, improvement of evaluation system, tightening up reflection of visitor's opinions, consulting for each programs.

This study aims to develop qualification criteria for training and establishing an expert pool of 3D printing operation experts and 3D printing development specialists in the emerging 3D printing industry. We investigate the domestic and international 3D printing industry, as well as 3D printing- related training institutions and quantity of test examinees. Utilizing competency analysis, this study examines the competencies and educational content of both 3D printing operation expert as well as 3D printing development specialists. In addition, a survey was conducted on the issue of institutionalization of qualification criteria for 3D printing operation expert and 3D printer development specialists. This study further proposes evaluation methods for qualification criteria for both 3D printing operation expert and 3D printer development specialists based on simulations of both written and performance tests. Based on the findings, this study proposes instructional program outlines as well as comprehensive guidelines for training and qualification processes for 3D printing operation expert and 3D printer development specialists.

The purpose of this study is to provide adequate datas on number of people who are in golf related field and also further expend that number for golf industry. The main stream of this study is to map out present golf related jobs and how this study can help golf industry in general. To make a greater improvements on golf industry with more job opportunity following ideas were presented. First, improving education on "hand on experiences on the field of golf industry" Better educating potential employees for golf industry for the right positions can enhance overall work environment. To do so, the society and the schools must come to agreement to provide adequate curriculum for people. Second, implementing "a golf club division program." The support from Ministry of Culture and Sports and Tourism Department, which are govern by Republic of Korea, are aggressively working to expend the golf business and also recruit elite personnel like former tour players to work on the field to better operate the whole system. Third, performing a thorough research on current golf related jobs and numbers and diversity on the field. Fourth, developing a specific and a differentiated golf job fields for better future for people and students who majored in golf industry. So that they cam feel secured and have a sense of dignity. Finally, strengthening the golf industry's competitiveness. The golf related companies have to step up to higher gear. With working in harmony between golf industry and government can assure of brighter future for our next generation.
