대한치과의사협회 문화복지위원회가 주관하여 미국 인디아나 치과대학 박기철 교수와 김완규 교수 부부를 연자로 초청하여 한국 치과의사를 비롯한 건강직종 전문인들을 훈련시키기 위한 금연 workshop을 2002년 9월에 실시하기로 기획한 바 있었다. 그러나 협회 측의 연자 초청일정 확정에 어려운 점이 있어 박 교수와 김 교수가 workshop에서 다룰 예정이었던 내용들을 우선 발췌하여 독자들을 위한 특집으로 정리했다.

팀 반덴보쉬 아그파코리아(주) 신임 대표이사는 유럽의 몇몇 회사 및 단체에서 재정자문을 맡아오다 1995년 인디고 유럽 담당 콘트롤러로서 인쇄업계와 인연을 맺었다. 2001년 2월에 아그파에서 입사하여 아그파 전략팀장, '호라이즌'. '오리온' 프로그램 매니저 및 이사 등을 역임했으며 2005년 아그파-토트릭스 담당 대표이사를 거쳐 2006년 1월1일부로 아그파코리아(주) 대표이사로 부임했다. 이에 팀 반덴보쉬 아그파코리아(주) 신임 대표이사를 만나 앞으로의 계획을 들어보았다.

본 논문에서는 게임 개발의 한 형태이자 새로 도입된 개발 형태 중에 가장 떠오르고 있는 얼리액세스 개발 형태에 대해 서술하며, 얼리액세스 개발 방식의 공통적인 성격과 성공했던 게임들의 사례를 통해 앞으로 게임 개발자들에게 지양해야 할 부분과 반영해야 할 부분을 통해 소비자들에게 어떤 방식으로 접근해야 효과적으로 다가갈 수 있으며, 어떤 방향의 개발을 거쳤던 게임이 흥행하지 못했는지를 연구, 분석을 통해 얼리액세스 만의 방식을 통해 개발자, 소비자 모두를 충족시킬 수 있는 전략을 제시하고자 한다.

본 연구는 지역기반 음악사조로서 '홍대 사운드'의 정체성을 '미8군 사운드'와 영국 '런던 펑크'와의 비교분석을 통해 고찰해본다. 홍대음악은 90년대 클럽을 중심으로 활동하던 밴드들이 연주하던, 주류의 음악과는 장르적·산업적으로 다른 비주류적 감성의 음악을 통칭한다. 하지만 '인디'라는 산업적인 관점에서의 정체성이 음악사조로서의 홍대음악에 대한 학술적 접근을 어렵게 만드는 것도 사실이다. 그러므로 서구의 다른 음악사조와 마찬가지로 지역기반의 음악사조로서 홍대 사운드의 정체성을 명확하게 재정립하는 것이 필요하다. '미8군 사운드'는 50년대 미군의 한국 주둔 이후 자연스럽게 형성된 미8군부대 내 공연무대에서 연주되던 음악적 경향을 통칭한다. 미군 커뮤니티의 위문공연을 위해 오디션 시스템을 통해 선발된 국내 뮤지션들은 그들의 입맛에 맞는 서양의 최신 대중음악을 자연스럽게 익혔고, 이는 한국대중문화에 빠르게 전파되어갔다. 미8군 사운드의 산업시스템은 오늘날 '케이팝'과 매우 흡사하지만, 새롭게 등장한 록 장르를 수용하여 새로운 음악경향을 주도했다는 점에서 홍대 사운드와 유사한 면을 발견할 수 있다. 런던 펑크는 70년대 중반 영국 젊은이들의 사회적 불만과 저항정신을 담은 록 장르로, 기본에 충실한 음악적 구성과 인디의 DIY정신을 내세운 대안적 음악이었다. 홍대 사운드는 산업구조나 음악 스타일, 정신적인 면에서 런던 펑크의 많은 부분을 계승하였다. 하지만 시류의 변화에 영합하여 주류로 편입된 런던펑크와 달리 홍대 사운드는 끊임없는 변화를 모색하면서도 인디의 기본정신과 진정성을 포기하지 않으며 음악사적으로 유래를 찾기 힘든 지속성을 유지하고 있다.

월간 프린팅코리아가 2011년 7월호를 발간하면서 창간 9주년을 맞이하게 되었다. 만 9년, 햇수로는 10년 동안 월간 프린팅코리아는 인쇄문화 발전을 위해 다양한 기사들을 쏟아냈다. 10년이면 강산도 변한다고 하지만 10년 동안 인쇄업계는 해마다 커다란 변화의 바람을 겪어왔다. 프린팅코리아 발간을 위해 밤새워 필름출력후 교정을 보고 인쇄사에 넘겼다면, 이제는 인디자인으로 편집한 후 바로 PDF를 생성해 CTP 출력을 하고 있다. 일반 기업들의 경우 한발 더 나아가 디지털인쇄로 다양한 개인화 인쇄물을 제작하고 있다. 10년 전 만해도 영화 속에서나 등장할 만한 것이 이제는 현실화되고 있는 것이다. 월간 프린팅코리아는 '2011년 창간 9주년 기념 설문조사'를 스마트폰(패드)과 인쇄의 만남'이라는 주제로 잡아 스마트 폰이 인쇄에 어떠한 영향을 미칠 것인지 인쇄인들에게 물어보았다. 일부 항목에 대해서는 전체 설문조사 응답자와 대표의 설문조사 결과를 함께 엮었다.

제7회 서울와우북페스티벌이 지난 9월 28일부터 10월 3일까지 6일간 홍익대 주차장거리와 갤러리, 북카페 등에서 개최됐다. 이번 축제의 주제는 '책에, 취하다'로 문화체육관광부(장관 최광식)의 지원으로 약 100여개의 출판사가 축제에 참여했다. 10월 1일에 열린 개막 행사는 국내 최초의 기상캐스터 출신 방송인 이익선 씨의 사회로 김묵원 작가의 동양화 기법을 타 장르와 유기적으로 결합한 드로잉 퍼포먼스와 인디가수 '박솔'의 공연 등이 어우러져 화려한 개막 공연이 펼쳐졌다. 10월 2일에는 한국 캘리그래피의 개척자인 이상현 작가가 어쿠스틱 밴드 송 브리즈와 협연하여 캘리그래피와 음악의 조화를 보여줬다. 그 외 아트워크 집단인 '마스터 브릿지', 싱어송라이터 '양창근' 등이 공연을 펼쳤다. 거리 행사 마지막 날인 10월 3일에는 마포구 지역의 예술가들이 로컬 콘서트를 열어 마포구만의 특색 있는 공언을 선보였다.

The purpose of this study was to identify the origin of diversity of costume material caused by environmental difference. For this purpose, this research involved theoretical studies and studies based on historical data obtained from previous related studies. The common truth was proved that environmental including the geographical distribution of plants and animals determines costume material. Also, It was found that the unique traditional costume styles were developed through unique combination of costume material and their culture. The major results of this study are as follow : 1. The traditional costume of North American Indian was well-developed and closely related to geographical distribution of plants and animals. Also, their costume was so diverse that it could not be categorized. 2. The traditional costume of North American Indian showed ideal har mony between nature and human being surrounding environment into their costume. 3. The application of plants and animal materials into their costume was one of the environment-friendly human activity and it seems to give us an important message.

한국잡지협회(회장 전웅진)은 자난 2월 15일 오후 1시부터 코엑스 컨퍼런스 센터 308호에서 회원사 CEO를 대상으로 한 '디지털 출판의 현재와 미래'라는 주체로 세미나를 개최했다. 한국어도비시스템즈의 최송현 부장의 환영인사에 이어 강진호 한국어도비시스템즈 이사가 '디지털 출판 워크플로와 비전'에 대해, 한덕훈 디지털웍스 팀장의 '인디자인 C55와 디지털 퍼블리싱 스위트 시연'을, 이국희 아이뱅크 대리가 '여성조선 및 북스동아 활용사례'에 대해, 황정호 한국어도비시스템즈 부장이 ACSP 2.0에 대해 소개했다. 이날 행사에서 이국희 아이뱅크 대리가 기존의 전자출판에서는 선보이기 힘들었던 다양한 기술을 소개한 '여성조선 및 북스동아 활용사례'가 큰 관심을 끌었는데, 약 20여분동안 질문시간이 이어지는 등 참가자들의 관심이 뜨거웠다.

This design proposal was accepted to a design competition for the improvement of Indi Youth Street, Mapo-Gu, which was held by the Seoul Metropolitan Government in June, 2000. The \`Hong-ik University District\` projected area consists of several streets, where the independent and youth culture unique to this area is blossoming-Indi music, underground arts, and historic meaning of the area as an estuary of Mapo. The site is also expected to attract many citizens and fereigners because of convenient accessibility of the new subway station to the Inchon International Airport and because of many attractions on the street- foods, music, art and people. Accordingly, the proposal set the main design concept of this project as \`the Street of Youth Culture\` considering its special and social status as well as the physical improvement of the street environment. With this concept in mind, the proposal designed the improvement of the physical conditions based on the motive of \`the Street of Youth Culture\`, having Indi/under art, Indi/ under music, Indi/under drama and Indi/multimedia animation. This design proposal of the Street of Youth Culture consist of three segments, which symbolize the millenium Youth Plaza, MultiMedia Animation Pocket and Arts Exhibition Pocket based on unity and balance. This plan has the ultimate aim of making the district one of the people\`s favorite streets in Seoul, which people love to visit again and find the vivacity of the new millennium youth culture.

For the study on the Latin American culture reflected in fashion designs since 2000, the applications of Latin American culture shown in the four major collections from 2000 S/S to 2005 F/W (110 pieces) and some African designers' collections (157 pieces) have been analyzed and compared in three categories - forms, patterns and accessories. First, in the formal application of traditional clothes, the traditional elements of Indio culture are utilized in both the four major collections (76.8%) and the Latin American designers' collection (77.1%). Quechquemitl, the traditional Indio clothes are utilized in various forms in the four major collections, while the Latin American designers adopt various forms of traditional clothes, such as quechquemitl, camisa and pollera. Second, in the textile design, the patterns from Indio's traditional textile design are utilized in both the four major collections (68.7%) and the Latin American designers's collections (5.6%). The remarkable difference between the Latin American designers and the western designers is that the former like to mix the simple and primitive Indio culture with the colorful Iberian culture, and to utilize various patterns of feather, which is an important symbol in the traditional culture, expressing tradition in the modern touch. On the other hand, the western designers change the primitive and handcraft feel of Indio patterns into colorful ones, or mix the colorful Spanish-style flower patterns with primitive and passionate feel. Third, simple and handcraft feel of Indio accessories are utilized in modern fashion in both the four major collections and the Latin American designers' collections. The most remarkable difference between the two group of designers' collections is that various feather patterns are used in Latin American designers' collection, while the accessories reminding of relics of Maya and Inca are widely used in the four major collections.
