오늘날 환경문제는 국내적으로 뿐만 아니라 범세계적으로 인류의 주된 관심사가 되고 있다. 다가올 21세기에는 인구, 식량, 자원, 에너지 및 환경문제가 인류의 장래를 결정하게 될 것이라는데 미래학자들은 공감하고 있다. 특히 환경문제는 금세기 후반에 들어서면서 급격히 현안문제로 부상하여 인류가 당면한 가장 중요한 과제가 되고 있다.

여성주의 경제학자와 사회학자들은 부모의 아동양육시간이 여성과 아동의 경제적 복지에 미치는 중요한 함의에 대해 강조해왔다. 사회가 가족이 아동을 양육하는데 더 큰 지원을 제공해야 한다는 부모의 목소리가 커지고 있지만, 정작 어느 정도의 시간 자원이 아동을 양육하는데 투입되는지에 관해 연구된 바가 거의 없다. 기존의 연구들은 전체 생산 경제에서의 무급 노동의 경제적 가치의 비중에 초점을 두었다. 본 연구는 2004년 한국생활시간조사를 사용해 아동 양육에 투입된 부모의 시간을 추정하고 그 시간의 금전적 가치를 추정하는 것이 목적이다. 부모가 아동양육을 위해 투입한 시간의 경제적 가치는 시장 노동을 통해 벌어들인 소득에 비교해 볼 때 상당한 비중을 차지하고 있다. 아동이 소비하는 재화와 서비스를 생산하는 데 있어 무급 노동의 역할은 시장 노동에 참여하지 않고 있는 사람들에게 특히 중요하다. 아동을 양육하는 모의 노력은 대개 무급 노동의 형태를 띠고 있는데, 부모의 시장노동만큼이나 아동 복지를 향상시키는데 기여하고 있다. 전체 경제 차원에서의 무급 노동의 비중과 그 경제적 가치에 대한 연구 성과들과 별개로, 부모의 아동 양육 시간의 비중과 경제적 가치의 추정은 전체 경제 가운데 인적 자본부문에 대한 무급 노동의 경제적 역할에 대해 중요한 정보를 제공한다.

The necessity of a management for a metropolitan has long intrigued many urban scholars and researchers who are interested in Busan metropolitan spatial structure and its problems. The purpose of this study is to investigate the dynamic changes of spatial structure in Busan Metropolitan by analyzing the population, employment and Land prices, for the period of 1993, 2001. The major results in this study are as follows; While main-centers have experienced significant loss of population, sub-centers have been growing. Jung-Ang Dong still has high accessibility in population potentials, but its accessibility has declined since 1993. Pu-Jeon Dong had increasing trend of population until 2000, but its population has also descended since that time. Meanwhile, the population of sub-centers has increased in its accessibility. And The spatial pattern of the population in Busan has changed from monocentric to polycentric. This phenomenon was almost spontaneously generated from population dispersion from existing main-centers. In terms of change of land values are there is a spatial and temporal rhythm in the urbanization of Busan. The highest land value in Busan is shown in CBD. The development of Busan proceeded along the north-south belt and extended to west Busan.

Journalism and Mass Communication as an academic field is believed more politicized one than pure literature and natural science. With the growth of the media, there follows additional opportunities for media scholars to take a part in politics as well. Few attention was given to understand the status and mechanism of political intervention either as advisers or decision makers though. This study attempts thus to fill this vacuum. For this, first of all, it examines a various types of laws related to media politics. Total number of 164 scholars who participated in 12 councils and commissions were analyzed on the following step. Research shows that there are patterns which favor Seoul National University, U.S. trained Ph. D and geographic preference to the capital. Neither academic excellence nor commitment to public interest appear to have impact on taking those positions. Taking into account media's expansion into politics, it is inevitable for media scholars to take responsibility not only in policy making but in taking leadership. Accordingly, the question of necessity is not who but how as much as manner. The authors hope this study will be a valuable opportunity to establish a kind of ethical standards in media politics.

우리 사회의 고령화와 저출산이 심각한 사회문제로 제기되면서 경제활동인구의 감소에 대비해 입직연령 하향의 필요성이 강하게 제기되기 시작했다. 이를 위해 취학연령의 하향, 수학년한의 단축 등과 같은 학제개편 논의가 제기되고 있으나 학자들이나 이해단체 간의 이견이 분분하고, 관련 종사자들간의 이해관계가 얽혀 단기간에 합의를 도출하기는 어려운 상황이다. 따라서 현 제도적으로 가능한 조기졸업 활성화에 대한 진지한 논의는 하나의 대안이 될 수 있다. 여기에서 입직연령 하향과 대학경쟁력, 그리고 조기졸업제의 효과적인 활용방안에 대해 살펴보기로 하자.

각국의 인구와 국민총생산 등에 대한 천문학 및 천체물리학 관련 박사 연구자수의 상관관계를 구하였다. 그 결과, 국가별 상황에 따라 몇 개의 그룹으로 나뉨을 발견하였고, 신흥 선진국과 전통적 선진국 사이의 상관관계가 차이가 있음을 발견하였다. 이를 바탕으로 각국의 과학이나 경제 정책 등과의 관련성을 논의할 것이며, 특히 한국 천문학의 현주소에 대해 정량적으로 논의하고자 한다. 이를 통해 한국은 후발국과 선진국 사이의 중간자적인 입장임을 밝혔고, 한국 천문학을 선진국 수준으로 발전시키기 위한 투자 규모를 정량적 수치로 제공한다.

Mobile media have become independent media formats in a current media environment. This study explores mobile media uses of metropolitan Korean teenagers focusing on demographic elements and socio-cultural dimensions. The findings of this study show that demographic variables and socio-cultural variables influenced mobile media purchases and mobile content uses. Specifically, demographic variables explain mobile media purchases more, and socio-cultural variables explain mobile content uses of Korean teenagers. Among significant variables, conformity and self demonstration are core elements explaining teenagers' consumer behaviors. These findings could provide implications to both academicians and practitioners.

The aim of this study is to investigate the demographical differences in technostressors(cause technological stresses). Although previous studies have been conducted to investigate the factors that affect technostress, little studies have examined the differences in demographic factors. Therefore, this study empirically attempts to investigate how level of technostressors differ by demographic factors. Independent sample t-test was used to identify differences after dividing sample into two groups. The technostressors used in this work are work overload, life invasion, complexity of technology, job insecurity, pace of technological change. We found that, sex and position show a significant difference in pace of technological change. In the educational level, there is a difference between work overload. Work overload, life invasion, complexity of technology, and pace of change show differences in age group. In computer knowledge, there are differences in complexity technology, job insecurity, and pace of change. On the other hand, there is no difference in computer using hours. Conclusions and implications are discussed in final section.

This paper attempts to analyze the changes of the contents in foreign area research carried out by Korean geographers, and discuss the task of the new regional geography in a global-local context. As compared with domestic area research, only a scant of foreign area research has been carried out. In the 1990's, the research interests are paid to how an open economy affects the regional economy, especialy the production technique, division of labor, industrial mix, market strategy, industrial location and organization, and so on. Unfortunately, however, the boundaries between economic geography and regional economy are gradully disappearing.
