  • This paper proposes an arts and culture content creation tool powered by artificial intelligence. With the recent advances in technologies including artificial intelligence, there are active research activities on creating art and culture contents. However, it is still difficult and cumbersome for those who are not familiar with programming and artificial intelligence. In order to deal with the content creation with new technologies, we analyze related creation tools, services and technologies that process with raw visual and audio data, generate new media contents and visualize intermediate results. We then extract key requirements for a future creation tool for creators who are not familiar with programming and artificial intelligence. We finally introduce an intuitive and integrated content creation tool for end-users. We hope that this tool will allow creators to intuitively and creatively generate new media arts and culture contents based on not only understanding given data but also adopting new technologies.

  • This study explores the intersection of literary studies and artificial intelligence (AI), focusing on the common theme of human emotions to foster complementary advancements in both fields. By adopting a comparative perspective, the paper investigates emotion as a shared focal point, analyzing various emotion-related concepts from both literary and AI perspectives. Despite the scarcity of research on the fusion of AI and literary studies, this study pioneers an interdisciplinary approach within the humanities, anticipating future developments in AI. It proposes that literary sensibility can contribute to AI by formalizing subjective literary emotions, thereby enhancing AI's understanding of complex human emotions. This paper's methodology involves the terminology-centered extraction of emotions, aiming to blend subjective imagination with objective technology. This fusion is expected to not only deepen AI's comprehension of human complexities but also broaden literary research by rapidly analyzing diverse human data. The study emphasizes the need for a collaborative dialogue between literature and engineering, recognizing each field's limitations while pursuing a convergent enhancement that transcends these boundaries.

  • Recently, large-scale artificial intelligence (AI) such as ChatGPT have been developed, and as AI is used across various industrial fields, attention is focused on AI chips (semiconductors). AI chips refer to chips designed for calculations for AI algorithms, and many companies at domestic and abroad, such as NVIDIA, Tesla, and ETRI, are developing AI chips. In this paper, we survey research trends on nine types of AI chips. Currently, many attempts have been made to improve the computational performance of most AI chips, and semiconductors for specific purposes are also being designed. In order to compare various AI semiconductors, each chip is analyzed in terms of operation unit, speed, power, and energy efficiency. We introduce currently existing optimization methodologies for AI computation. Based on this, future research directions for AI semiconductors are presented in this paper.

  • The purpose of this study was to develop an artificial intelligence-based marine ecological education program to improve the ecological sensitivity of elementary school students. The program was taught 11 times within 4 weeks, and an ecological sensitivity test was conducted before and after the program. The statistical results of the tests showed that the developed program improved the ecological sensitivity of elementary school students. Through in-depth interviews, improvements were found in all the areas, such as empathy for the living things, interest in nature, enjoyment of nature, and wonder about nature. Through the marine ecological classes, which used artificial intelligence and virtual reality, the students were able to get closer to nature, and the student participation activities showed a positive effect on their ecological sensitivity. This indicates that experience-oriented education methods are more effective than simple explanatory classes to improve the students' ecological sensitivity, and artificial intelligence technology proved effective in increasing the students' immersion in the class.

  • AI is applied increasingly to overall industries such as living, medical, financial service, autonomous car, etc. thanks to rapid technology development. AI-leading countries are strengthening their competency to secure competitiveness since AI is positioned as the core technology in $4^{th}$ Industrial Revolution. Although Korea has the competitive IT infra and human resources, it lags behind traditional AI-leaders like United States, Canada, Japan and, even China which devotes all its might to develop intelligent technology-intentive industry. AI is the critical technology influencing on the national industry in the near future according to advancement of intelligent information society so that concentration of capability is required with national interest. Also, joint development with global AI-leading companies as well as development of own technology are crucial to prevent technology subordination. Additionally, regulatory reform and preparation of related law are very urgent.

  • In today's growing threat environment, rapid and effective detection and response to security events is essential. To solve these problems, many companies and organizations respond to security threats by introducing security control systems. However, existing security control systems are experiencing difficulties due to the complexity and diverse characteristics of security events. In this study, we propose an automated integrated security control system model based on artificial intelligence. It is based on deep learning, an artificial intelligence technology, and provides effective detection and processing functions for various security events. To this end, the model applies various artificial intelligence algorithms and machine learning methods to overcome the limitations of existing security control systems. The proposed model reduces the operator's workload, ensures efficient operation, and supports rapid response to security threats.
