This study aims to examine the characteristics of landscape through the analysis of location and the landscape of Gugok while also conducting the empirical study through the literature review, field study, and digital analysis of the Okgung Gugok. Oksan Gugok is a set of songs set in Ogsan Creek(玉山川)or Jagyese Creek(紫溪川, 紫玉山), which flows in front of the Oksan Memorial Hall(李彦迪), which is dedicated to the Lee Eong-jeok (李彦迪). We first ascertained the location and configuration of Oksan Gogok. Second, we confirmed the accurate location of Oksan Gogok by utilizing the digital topographic map of Oksan Gogok which was submitted by Google Earth Pro and Geographic Information Center as well as the length of the longitude of the gravel measured by the Trimble Juno SB GPS. Through the study of the literature and the field investigation, The results of the study are as follows. First, Yi Eonjeok was not a direct composer of Oksan Gugok, nor did he produce "Oksan Gugokha(Music)". Lee Ia-sung(李野淳), the ninth Youngest Son of Tweo-Kye, Hwang Lee, visited the "Oksan Gugokha" in the spring of 1823(Sunjo 23), which was the 270th years after the reign of Yi Eonjeok. At this time, receiving the proposal of Ian Sung, Lee Jung-eom(李鼎儼), Lee Jung-gi(李鼎基), and Lee Jung-byeong(李鼎秉), the descendants of Ian Sung set up a song and created Oksan Gugok Music. And the Essay of Oksan Travel Companions writted by Lee Jung-gi turns out being a crucial data to describe the situation when setting up the Ok-San Gugok. Second, In the majority of cases, Gogok Forest is a forest managed by a Confucian Scholar, not run by ordinary people. The creation of "Oksan Bugok Music" can be regarded as an expression of pride that the descendants of Yi Eonjeok and Lee Hwang, and next generation of several Confucian scholars had inherited traditional Neo-Confucian. Third, Lee Jung-eom's "Oksan Donghaengki" contains a detailed description of the "Oksan Gugokha" process and the process of creating a song. Fourth, We examined the location of one to nine Oksan songs again. In particular, eight songs and nine songs were located at irregular intervals, and eight songs were identified as $36^{\circ}01^{\prime}08.60^{{\prime}{\prime}}N$, $129^{\circ}09^{\prime}31.20^{{\prime}{\prime}}E$. Referring to the ancient kingdom of Taojam, the nine-stringed Sainam was unbiased as a lower rock where the two valleys of the East West congregate. The location was estimated at $36^{\circ}01^{\prime}19.79^{{\prime}{\prime}}N$, $129^{\circ}09^{\prime}30.26^{{\prime}{\prime}}E$. Fifth, The landscape elements and landscapes presented in Lee Jung-eom's "Oksan Gugokha" were divided into form, semantic and climatic elements. As a result, Lee Jung-eom's Cho Young-gwan was able to see the ideal of mountain water and the feeling of being idle in nature as well as the sense of freedom. Sixth, After examining the appearance of the elements and the frequency of the appearance of the landscape, 'water' and 'mountain' were the absolute factors that emphasized the original curved environment at the mouth of Lee Jung-eom. Therefore, there was gugokga can gauge the fresh ideas(神仙思想)and retreat ever(隱居思想). This inherent harmony between the landscape as well as through the mulah any ideas that one with nature and meditation, Confucian tube.

Fast restoration time and service guarantee are the important goals to achieve the network reliability. In the protection switching scheme, one way to guarantee service fro an application session if a network happens to fail is to establish the restoration path that amounts to the same bandwidth of the working path of the session at the same time. When we setup the restoration path, we can reduce the bandwidth consumption by the restoration path if the path can share the bandwidth required by the other paths. This paper explains the methods how to determine the shared bandwidth of the restoration path in the protection switching scheme, given the maximum bandwidth assigned to a link along the working path. We point out that such sharing algorithm can not reduce the bandwidth consumption by the restoration paths in some cases, which contradict the general conception. We explain why this can happen, and show the simulation results in real network topologies to prove our arguments. We explain the reason of the failure of the sharing effect by the simple sharing algorithm. Finally we propose the way of how we can overcome the failure of the sharing effect, using the complete sharing algorithm based on the link database and showing the results.

In this paper, we evaluated the performance of vocoders for three-way conferencing using signal summation technique in digital mobile communication network. The signal summation technique yields natural mode of three-way conferencing, in shich the mixed voice signal from two speakers are transmitted to a third person, though there has been no useful speech coding technique for the mixed voice signal yet. We established Qualcomm code term prediction (RPE-LTP) vocoders to provide three-way conferencing using signal summation techinique. In addition, as the conventional speech quality measures are not applicable to the vocoders for mixed voice signals, we proposed two kinds of subjective quality measures. These are the sentence discrimination (SD) test and the modified degraded mean opinion score (MDMOS) test. The experimental results show that the output speech quality of the VSELP vocoder is superior to other two.

Artificial upwelling structure has been set up in sea mount. Bottom water can upwelling euphotic zone. Plentiful nutrient included in bottom water could not only enhance primary production but also expect food chain reaction and gathering fish. This study explain flowing features subject to porosity changes according to the material and shape of artificial upwelling structure. As a result, the upward flux is getting decreased while the porosity is increasing. And it figured out when the upward flux was decreased, the downward flux was also decreased. Futhermore, it was confirmed that the best efficiency of upwelling flux was shown up when the porosity was 10% according to the volume of artificial upwelling structure in case of 20% of porosity, it also has a good efficiency in comparison with impermeable artificial upwelling structure. Therefore, to build the artificial upwelling structure, It is encouraged to design it less than 20% of porosity for the best performance.

Radio astronomy, on its part, requires 'quiet zones' to be able to receive incoming cosmic signals unaffected by interference to enable astronomers and others learn about universe. The agenda item 1.16 of WRC-2000 contains a number of issues relevant for radio astronomy, but some of them are more important than others. The preparations for WRC-2000 have reached a close-to-final stages, with a number of proposals to this agenda item submitted to the ITU by many countries and groups of countries, like APT, CEPT and CITEL. There is no clear preference to anyone of these proposals since their differences are only minor. However, several points remain to be solved in the APT and CITEL. Fortunately, the preparation went very well, and consensus was reached on allocations above 71 GHz and three resolutions. The radio astronomy has obtained about 100 GHz of new spectrum allocations in bands above 71 GHz. In addition, a new resolution was approved by plenary meeting of WRC-2000. It deals with the consideration by a future WRC of sharing and compatibility issues between passive and active services in adjacent bands particularly with the space services (downlinks) into radio astronomy above 71 GHz. Therefore, in future, there should be a need for studies to be made to determine if and under what conditions sharing is possible, given that modifications were made on the basis of requirements known now and that little was known of requirements and implementation plans for active services in bands above 71 GHz.

Embryonic stem (ES) cells are pluripotent cell lines, which derived from preimplantation embryo. These cells have been used as a vehicle of foreign DNA for production of transgenic mammals. this experiment was performed to examined the possible use of blastodermal cells derived from hen's egg for germline manipulation. Stage X blsdtodermal cells isolated from fertilized eggs were cultured in DMEM containing 15% fetal calf serum. Blastodermal cells wre co-cultured on the chicken embryonic fibroblast (CEF) or mouse embryonic fibroblast(MEF) cells. to examine the effects of growth factors on stem cell growth, bFGF and LIF were added. There was no significant difference in colony formation of putative ES cells between CEF and MEF as a feederlayer, but the addition of growth factors enhanced the proliferation and inhibited differentiation of blastodermal cells. To characterize the cell colonies as a putative ES cells, putative embryonic cell colonies were stained by periodic acid Schiffs (PAS) reagent. The putative ES cell colonies showed intensive positive reaction similar to the property of undifferentiated PGC upto 20days in vitro, but not in other cell types. this result demonstrates that PAS-positive cell colonies may be used for the study of establishment of chicken ES cell lines for the production of transgenic chicken.

Alpha-lipoic acid (ALA) synthesized in the body has virtues such as anti-oxidation, blood sugar regulation, appetite suppression, and anti-obesity, etc. ALA, which is also used as a drug, has a five-membered ring including disulfide and so easily losses bioavailability due to ring opening and subsequent polymerization by heat or ultraviolet. This report studies various conditions for ring opening polymerization. The ring opening starts above the melting point of ALA, but there was no temperature dependence above it. At $70^{\circ}C$, the degree of ring opening was proportional to reaction time and inversely proportional concentration. The degree of ring opening in acetic acid with UV for 1 hour reached the maximum conversion (70%). Most cleaved ALA changed into disulfide polymers, and the molecular weight of the polymers increased as the amount of ring opening increased.

원시생식세포(primordial germ cell; PGC)는 성성숙 이후에 기능을 갖는 생식세포의 근원이 되는 세포로서, 다능성을 갖고 있는 것으로 알려져 있다. 그러므로 chimera 및 유전자 변환동물 생산을 위해 널리 사용되어 온 배아주(embrynic stem; ES)세포를 대신할 다른 세포계라고 생각되어져 많은 연구가 진행되고 있다. 본 실험은 체외배양을 통하여 원시생식세포의 증식과 확립을 위해 배양조건을 구명하고, 또한 성장인자의 효과를 검증하기 위하여 실시되었다. 원시생식세포는 12.5일째의 ICR 생쥐태아의 원시생식선 융기조직으로부터 추출하였으며, DMEM + 20% FCS + nucleosides + antibiotics로 조성된 sDMEM 배양액을 사용하여 mitomycin C로 전처리한 되먹임세포단층(feeder layer)위에서 체외배양하였다. bFGF 및 LIF를 20, 40ng/ml농도로 각각 또는 함께 첨가하여 성장인자의 효과를 검토하였다. 원시생식세포는 성에 따라 유의적인 colony 형성율을 보였고(♂:1.9 colonies / genital ridge, ♀:1.3 colonies / genital ridge), bFGF 및 LIF의 첨가 및 첨가농도에 따라서도 유의성 있는 결과를 보였다(0.3~1.9 colonies / genital riege). 그러나 3회 이상 계대배양을 할 경우, 원시생식세포의 colony를 4% prarformaldehyde로 20분간 고정한 후, tris-maleate buffer(pH 9.0)로 10분간 3회 세정하였다. Fast Red로 염색을 실시한 결과, 대부분의 colony가 염색반응을 보여 다능성을 갖는 원시생식세포의 colony임이 입증되었다. 그러나 대부분의 colony가 3회 이상의 계대배양시 생종율이 급격히 떨어지는 것을 감안하면, 또 다른 미지의 성장인자나 보다 적절한 배양조건이 요구된다고 생각된다.

In this paper, a phoneme classification method for Korean speech recognition has been proposed and its performance has been studied. The phoneme classification has been done based on the phonemic features extracted by the prewindowed recursive least-square (PRLS) algorithm that is a kind of adaptive filter algorithms. Applying the PRLS algorithm to input speech signal, precise detection of phoneme boundaries has been made, Reference patterns of Korean phonemes have been generated by the ordinery vector quantization (VQ) of feature vectors obtained manualy from prototype regions of each phoneme. In order to obtain the performance of the proposed phoneme classification method, the method has been tested using spoken names of seven Korean cities which have eleven different consonants and eight different vowels. In the speaker-dependent phoneme classification, the accuracy is about $85\%$ considering simple phonemic rules of Korean language, while the accuracy of the speaker-independent case is far less than that of the speaker-dependent case.

Purpose: The aim of the current study was to compare the muscle architecture of lower extremity using rehabilitative ultrasound imaging (RUSI) in young adults in Seoul and Hanoi. Methods: The study design was a comparative study of muscle cross-sectional area of lower extremity. Sixty healthy young subjects (Seoul group: 30, Hanoi group: 30) participated in this study. Real-time B-mode RUSI with a 7.5MHz linear transducer was used for measurement of cross-sectional area, pennation angle, and muscle thickness of the rectus femoris, tibialis anterior, and medial gastrocnemius muscles. Independent t-test was used for statistical analysis. Results: Significant difference in cross sectional area of rectus femoris was observed between Korean young adults and Hanoi young adults (p<0.01). Muscle thickness and pennation angle of tibialis anterior in Korean young adults were greater than in Hanoi young adults (p<0.01). In addition, the muscle thickness and pennation angle of the medial part of gastrocnemius muscle were greater in Korean young adults than in Hanoi young adults (p<0.01). In addition, in the results for gender, men had larger muscle architectures than women in both groups (p<0.01). Conclusion: This study, using RUSI, showed significant difference in muscle architectures of lower extremity in a diverse group of young adults RUSI.
