D 자동차가 새 자동차를 개발하는 과정에 스타일 디자인은 이태리에서, 샤시 설계는 영국에서, 파워트레인 설계는 독일에서 수행하였다고 한다. 글로벌 경영이나 현지 법인이라는 단어들도 이제는 낯설지 않은 용어들로 자리잡아 가고 있는 중이며, 앞으로는 리비아, 우즈베키스탄, 베네주엘라 등 전세계에 흩어져 있는 기업의 현장을 어떻게 운영해 나갈 것인지를 연구해야 할 것이다. 무역장벽을 극복하기 위해 설립하고 있는 현지의 공장들을 서울에 앉아서 가동시키는 방법 중에, 인터넷을 이용하는 방안이 CALS(Commerce At Light Speed 또는 Computer Aided Logistic Support)라고 할 수 있다. 이는 인터넷을 통해 기업의 무역거래 서류, 카탈로그, 설계도면, 사용자 지침서 등을 전자문서로 주고 받을 수 있게 하겠다는 생각에서 추진되고 있는 프로젝트이다.

우리나라는 수도 서울에서 전국 인구의 25% 이상이 모여있다. 서울이라는 하나의 핵에 인구 뿐만 아니라 정치, 경제, 문화, 정보, 교육기능 등이 몰려있다. 다른 선진국의 경우 인구순위 1위인 도시의 비율이 일본은 6.6%, 프랑스는 4.0% 독일은 5.5%, 미국은 2.9%, 이태리는 5.0%에 불과하다. 이는 이들 나라에서는 도시가 균형있게 발달해 국토상의 도시배치가 다핵화 상태로 되어 있음을 입증하고 있다. 서울이라는 하나의 핵에 인구뿐만 아니라 모든 기능이 집중화돼 있는 우리나라 선진국의 균형있는 도시발전과 도시 다핵화 사례들은 우리에게 많은 것을 던져준다. 그들의 치밀한 도시계획과 노력, 중장기적 안목의 산물인 도시 다핵화는 국가경제를 이끌어 가는 또 하나의 원동력이다.

The works of Alessandro Mendini doing a big role in Italian design give us fresh impetus and the message on future design. His work activity has created new space and given the second life with arranging radical and fresh visual ornaments by using various materials. His design works have been challenged on fixed and ordinary thought. He applies gorgeous and plain natural colors. When he develops idea into the form, his works hold meditation and clear subjectivity. Alessandro Mendini makes us aware that his work of arts connects human spirit with thing.

본자료는 프랑스의 Eurofinance사에서 발간하는 "World Rubber"지에서 특히 타이어 산업에 관련된 주요통계자료만을 발췌하여 요약한 것이다. 동지는 특히 "Euroeconomics"의 산업연구의 일환으로, 자동차산업과 석유화학계통에 관련된 산업분야에 기여하고자 지금까지의 각국시장의 특수성과 단기적인 안목의 추정방법을 벗어나, 전세계적인 산업동향을 보다 장기적인 전망으로 분석하고 있다. 따라서 국내적인 산업환경보다는 국제적으로 모든 주요통계자료를 비교검토, 조정함으로써 보다 정확한 추정을 예측할 수 있게 하였다.<편집자주>

견직물의 정련에 있어서 관행 정련제인 비누와 이태리 견직업계에서 사용하고 있는 3종의 화학정련제를 비교 시험하였다. 정련 견직물의 강신도와 염색성은 비누 정련과 화학정련제 간에 차이가 없었으나 견직유질의 변성과 관련되는 점도 및 아미노기(-NH2) 함량은 비누정련견이 화학정련제 정련견에 비하여 약간 증가 및 감소되었으며 표면 미세구조에 있어서도 비누 정련견이 비교적 불순물의 잔류가 적었고 3종의 화학정련제 중에서는 정련제 "S"에 의한 정련견에 불순물의 잔류가 가장 적게 보였다.가장 적게 보였다.

세계 각국의 노동자조직인 ICEF(세계화학에너지 일반노연)는 7월8일~10일까지 3일간 스위스 제네바에서 고무ㆍ플라스틱 부회 총회가 개최되었다. 동총회에는 미국, 서독, 영국, 프랑스, 이태리, 스웨덴, 일본 등 14개국에서 69명이 참석하여, ①투자, 고용, 단체교섭의 현황과 전망,②기술혁신의 도입과 생산공정에 관하여, ③다국적기업대책, ④직업위생문제와 ICEF 방침 등의 주요의제를 토의하였다. 이중 다국적기업대책에 대해서는 의안서중에서 본부가 「고무 산업과 대기업」(Goodyear, Michelin, Dunlop-Pirelli, Firestone, B.F. Goodrich, Bridgstone, Uniroyal)이라는 제하의 보고문을 정리한 것이 있어 이를 소개하고자 한다.<편집자주>

20세기 중반에 들어서서 박물관이나 미술관들은 전시위주의 소극적 자세에서 탈피하여 일반대중을 끌어들이기 위한 적극적 자세를 취하면서 전시공간 이외의 서비스공간들이 도입되고 있다. 그러나 박물관의 근본적 목적은 관람객과 전시품의 직접적 만남에 의해 성취된다는 의미에서 전시공간에 대한 고려는 기타 서비스공간에 대한 고려 이전에 우선되어야 한다는 사실은 매우 중요하다 하겠다. 이런 의미에서 공공박물관에 있어서도 전시공간이 여전히 중요하다는 인식과 함께 현대박물관에서 나타나고 있는 전시공간구성의 특성을 살펴보고자 한다. 이렇게 하는데 있어서 본 글에서는 이태리 디자이너인 가에 아울렌티의 작업에 관심을 갖고 그의 대표적인 작품인 오르세이 미술관과 국립현대미술관을 대상으로 하여 분석하면서 현대 박물관의 전시공간구성에 대한 방향을 정리하고자 한다.

This study was conducted to analyze growth characteristics and adaptability of poplar clones under the treatment of liquid pig manure. The average of survival rate was 33% better at control than the treatment under age of 5 years. But, tree height and DBH growth were higher at the treatment than control. Populus euramericana 'Eco28' showed the highest survival rate (97.9%) under the treatment. P. euramericana 'Eco28' and P. deltoides hybrid 'Dorskamp' could be selected as superior clones for height and DBH growth under the liquid pig manure treatment. The above-ground biomass production was also investigated when the poplar clones were 5 years old. The aboveground biomass under the liquid pig manure treatment was, on average. 52.6 ton/ha, which was 80% higher than control (29.1 ton/ha). P. euramericana 'Eco28' (73.6 ton/ha) and P. deltoides hybrid 'Dorskamp' (71.1 ton/ha) showed superior biomass production than other clones at the treatment of liquid pig manure. Based on survival, growth and demage traits, the adaptability of poplar clones to liquid pig manure treatment was estimated. P. deltoides hybrid 'Dorskamp' and P. euramericana 'Eco28' showed better adaptability to the treatment. P. nigra ${\times}$ P. maximowiczii '62-10' and P. koreana ${\times}$ P. nigra var. italic 'Suwon' were identified as poor adaptability clones.

We examined sapflow of two Populus species such as Populus alba ${\times}$ Populus glandulosa and Populus euramericana, grown under Swine wastewater treatment. Sapflow of Populus euramericana was 1.8 times higher than that of Populus alba ${\times}$ Populus glandulosa for 14 months. Sapflow of Populus euramericana and Populus alba${\times}$Populus glandulosa was 4,628L and 2,538L during this period, respectively. Positive relationship between sapflow density and solar radiation and temperature had been shown. Mean temperature, relative humidity and sapflow was strongly associated. There was a decreasing sapflow tendency of the two poplar species during the late October when the mean temperature was decreased. In addition, the data showed high relationship between sapflow and photosynthesis. Two poplar species showed dramatic decrease of sapflow since October.
