  • We suggested the new compact dual band monopole antenna using two crossed planar monopole antenna. The proposed antenna will be used for the ISM dual band 2.45GHz/5.8GHz. It is necessary to verify its performance through the follow-up development of the proposed antenna for the high-speed wireless actual communications.

  • In this paper, a dual band antenna with the operating frequency in HF and UHF band was proposed. The antenna structure consists of three spiral turns coil in the bottom side to generate the HF frequency of 13.56 MHz. In the top of the antenna, an inverted-spiral dipole structure is used to create the UHF frequency of 922 MHz. The dual band antenna was optimized to reduce size with $80mm{\times}40mm{\times}0.8mm$ dimension. The antenna presents the omnidirectional characteristic with high gain. To validate the theoretical design, the antenna was simulated using FR-4 substrate and verified the simulation results.

  • 본 논문은 PCS (1750-1850 MHz)대역과 IMT-2000 (1920-2170 MHz)대역의 이중대역 (Dual-Band) 주파수(420 MHz)를 동시에 만족시킬 수 있는 "L"형태의 급전구조를 이용한 광대역 특성을 갖는 안테나로서 주파수 대역폭은 중심주파수(1.96 GHz)의 33%(VSWR < 1.5, 650 MHz)이고, 이득은 7dBi 이상의 양호한 특성을 얻었다.

  • In this paper, we proposed a compact arbitrary dual-band band-stop filter using CRLH transmission line. The proposed filter used CRLH transmission line as stub and it developed dual-band band-stop characteristics using non-linear phase response of CRLH transmission line. The size of proposed filter is compact. And it can control arbitrary dual stop band. In this paper, designed band-stop filter at GPS band and ISM band As result, the S(2,1) is about -30dB at GPS band and about -29dB at ISM band. The fabricated filter is very compact. Its dimension is 10mm*15mm.

  • A dual-band GaAs FET low noise amplifier (LNA) with an input LC-tank circuit is designed using inductance source feedback for wireless LAN, and output matching is realized with low-pass Cheyshev filter impedance transforming circuit. Some design techniques for dual band LNA have been developed including input and output design equations. The measured results shows close agreement with the predicted performance.

  • In this paper, a design method for a compact dual-band slot antenna with bent slot is studied. Bent slots are added on the rectangular slot of the proposed antenna for dual-band operation. The rectangular slot is fed by a coaxial cable by placing a rectangular feeding patch inside the slot. When the bent slots are added onto the both corner of the upper side of the rectangular slot symmetrically, a new resonant frequency is created in low frequency because of the increasement of the slot length. A prototype of the proposed dual-band slot antenna operating at 2.45 GHz WLAN band and 4.50-8.30 GHz band including 5GHz WLAN band is fabricated on an FR4 substrate with a dimension of 30 mm by 30 mm. Experiment results show that the antenna has a desired impedance characteristic with a frequency band of 2.40-2.49 GHz and 4.33-9.85 GHz for an input reflection coefficient < -10 dB.

  • This paper proposed a dual-band RF switch using a Composite Right/Left Handed transmission line(CRLH TL) and PIN diode. RF switch is usually consist of $\lambda/4$ Right Handed transmission line(RH TL) and PIN diode. The dual band characteristics of RF switch was achieved by using CRLH transmission line instead of RH transmission line. CRLH Open-Stub was designed for resolve to reduction of isolation due to Package Inductance of PIN diode. The proposed RF switch was designed at GSM and DCS frequency-band. The measurement results showed a good agreement with theoretical result.

  • In this paper, high efficient class F power amplifier with dual band has been realized. Dual band power amplifier have used modify stub matching for single FET, center frequency 2.14GHz and 5.2GHz respectively. Dual band amplifier is 32.65dBm output power, gain 11dB and PAE 36% at the 2.14GHz, 7dB gain at the 5.2GHz. Design of a dual band class F power amplifier using harmonic control circuit. The measured are 9.9dB gain, 30dBm output power and PAE 55% at the 2.14GHz, 11.7dB gain at the 5.2GHz. This paper is being used the load-pull method and it maximizes output power and it is using the only one transistor in the paper. As a result, this research will obtain a dual band high PAE power amplifier.

  • In this paper a dual-band Class-E power amplifier using Composite Right-/Left-Handed transmission lines and PIN diode is proposed. Dual-band operation is achieved by the frequency offset and nonlinear phase slope of CRLH TL for the matching network of power amplifiers. The proposed power amplifier has been realized by using in the input and the output matching network for high power added efficiency. PIN diode has been used to obtain the dual-band of power amplifier. The measured results show that output powers of 42.17 dBm and 41.43 dBm were obtained at 800 MHz and 1900 MHz, respectively. At this frequency, we have obtained the power-added efficiency(PAE) of 67.84 % and 65.31 % in two operation frequencies, respectively.

  • In this paper, a design method for a compact dual-band coplanar waveguide-fed slot antenna using SRR(split-ring resonator) conductor is studied. The SRR conductor is loaded inside a rectangular slot of the proposed antenna for dual-band operation. When the SRR conductor is inserted into the slot, the original rectangular slot is divided into a rectangular loop region and a rectangular slot region, and frequency bands are created by the loop and slot, separately. A prototype of the proposed dual-band slot antenna operating at 2.45 GHz WLAN band and 3.40-5.35 GHz band is fabricated on an FR4 substrate with a dimension of 30 mm by 30 mm. Experiment results show that the antenna has a desired impedance characteristic with a frequency band of 2.38-2.51 GHz and 3.32-5.38 GHz for a voltage standing wave < 2, and measured gain is 1.7 dBi at 2.45 GHz, and it ranges 2.4-3.2 dBi in the second band.
