Analysis of Library User Needs in the New Normal Era: Focusing on Social Media (뉴노멀 시대의 도서관 이용자 요구 분석 - 소셜 미디어를 중심으로 -)

  • The coronavirus infection-19 (hereinafter referred to as Corona 19) that occurred last year has not been ended until now. There have also been major changes in the library environment. This study focuses on changes in the library environment due to prolonged infectious diseases. In addition, it aims to derive implications for library services in the New Normal era by analyzing changes in user needs over time. For this purpose, we have comprehensively summarized the response activities of libraries due to the spread of Corona 19 in 2020, and analyzed changes in user needs that appeared on social media. Key terms were selected by collecting 496,741 tweets related to libraries in 2019 and 2020, and analysis by year and period by operation type was conducted. Through the analysis, the needs of library users in 2020 were classified into four issues, and the implications for each issue were derived.

  • Help-Desk 서비스는 도서관 현장에서 사서가 이용자와 직접 대면하는 서비스로 이용자가 도서관을 이용할 때 일어나는 커뮤니케이션이다. 이는 최초의 지식관리활동이다. 이용자의 요구에 따라다양하게 제공되고 발생되는 Help-Desk 서비스는 이용자 질문-해답서비스, 이용자 교육서비스, 참고정보서비스, 전자우편서비스, 전자게시판, 개인정보관리, SDI, 공개자료, 교수연구지원서비스 등이다. 이 연구는 국내 대학도서관의 Help-Desk 서비스 실태를 조사·분석하여 사서와 이용자 사의의 바람직한 지식관리유형으로서 Help-Desk 지식관리를 제시하고자한다.

  • The purpose of this paper is to suggest issues and problems with a view to construct the national culture information network. Twenty-one culture and arts organizations are surveyed to analyze the characteristics of data format, management structure, operating systems, personnel aspect, and user's behavior patterns and needs.

  • The users' needs are expanded because of developing of educational robot market. However, the technology development doesn't fully adopt customer needs. In general, the most products are followed not user needs but technology trajectory. In this paper, we try to define the educational robot functions from analyzing usage propensity and customer needs with Kano model. According to results, there are key functions based on customer needs such as remote student control, Internet search, educational contents search and study planner. If the four key functions are offered, user's positive attitude to robot will be increased.

  • The purpose of this study is to propose some strategic directions which can promote the government libraries to provide the most effective and efficient information services. The study analyzes user opinion and demand in terms of the Web-based Information Services. For the analysis, the questionnaires were distributed to the 300 users in 18 government libraries. In the results, the study finds that the government libraries with homepage need to advertise homepage service. to provide the training programs, and to improve the system utility for better valuable homepage services. The government libraries without homepage, first of all, must construct their own homepage reflected in the users demand requiring the powerful retrieval ability, the diversity of contents, the high properness of information services.

  • 의사결정지원시스템으로서의 DW는 기업정보시스템에서 두뇌역할을 담당하는 만큼 전략적 중요도에 있어서 매우 중요한 역할을 차지하고 있다. 이러한 추세와 더불어 많은 기업들이 DW구축에 엄청난 예산을 투입하여 시스템을 구축하지만 프로젝트의 실패 역시 흔하게 찾아 볼 수 있는 사실이다. 이러한 실패의 주요인은 기술적인 문제에서 발생하기 보다는 낮은 시스템 활용도와 명확하지 않은 분석요구사항에서 주요원인을 찾아 볼 수 있는데 이는 구축단계에서 이용자와 이해관계자들이 DW의 시스템적 목적을 제대로 이해하지 못하여 사용자 관점의 요구사항을 제대로 제시하지 못하고 이에 따라 시스템의 활용도 역시 낮아지는 데에서 본질적인 원인을 찾을 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 시스템의 사용자가 요구사항을 적극적으로 제시하고 시스템에 끊임없는 관심을 같도록 유도하여 이용자의 요구사항을 충족시킨 수 있는 정확한 주제분야와 분석관점을 발굴함과 통시에 시스템의 활용도를 높이기 위한 방안으로 정형화되고 주기적인 분석정보를 제시하기 위하여 정적 Reporting을 위한 Web Reporting Tool과 함께 시스템의 이용자와 주기적으로 Communication을 유지하여 시스템에 지속적으로 관심을 갖도록 하기 위한 상호 Communication기능을 통한 문제의 해결방안을 제시하고자 한다.

Assistive Product Users' Need Analysis on Job Competence of Assistive Product Specialist (복지용구 전문가 직무 역량에 대한 복지용구 이용자 요구도 분석)

  • As the elderly population grows, the use of assistive products that facilitate independent living by the elderly is increasing. Assistive product specialists are important to selecting the correct assistive products. Therefore, it is necessary to grasp the needs of assistive product users. This study was conducted to identify the key tasks that should be prioritized through analysis of the needs of assistive product users of assistive product specialist's job competence Questionnaires were administered to 84 assistive product users in person and by mail. The questionnaire was designed to investigate the importance of work and educational needs based on the job of the assistive product specialist. Based on the results, the priorities of five duties and 12 key tasks were derived. The key tasks are highly demanded by assistive product users and must be included in the performance of the job of the assistive product specialist. Based on this study, it is expected that elderly people will gain independence and improve their quality of life in their homes and communities through an individualized approach.

  • The purpose of this study is to develop an effective information service process based on user's characteristics and needs in academic libraries. The process was informed by analysis of the entire information service cycle using real users as an exploratory study. The interview process between the user and information provider, and the information provider's perspectives regarding information services demonstrated that the user's information and subject analysis, effective interview methods, communication skills, information provider's recognition of information services, and core ability are important elements for effective information services.

  • To effectively cope with new and different types of disasters, it is very important to communicate and update disaster information to the public quickly and efficiently. SNS enables rapid spread of information and continuous exposure. SNS enables two-way communication by directly communicating with users. SNS complements the shortcomings of mass media, and increases the effectiveness of disaster management work. This study analyzed user awareness and requirements to derive effective methods of SNS operation of disaster management institutions. For this purpose, a user survey was conducted to identify the types of information that are highly user-interested and to select information items suitable for SNS services. Through this, we suggest ways to improve the SNS disaster record information service of the disaster management institution.

  • 공공도서관은 지역주민의 다양한 정보요구와 관심사를 충족시키기 위해 필요한 각종 정보자료를 광범위하게 구성하여야 한다. 이렇듯 공공도서관은 방문하는 이용자들의 배경이 다양하고 도서관을 찾는 목적 또한 다양하기 때문에 모든 이용자의 요구를 충분히 만족시키기에 어려움을 겪고 있으며, 이를 극복하기 위한 노력으로 공공도서관 자료의 만족 수준을 높일 수 있는 장서개발정책 연구가 필요하다. 이에 따라 본 연구는 공공도서관의 장서개발정책을 제안하기 위해 서울특별시 소재 구립 공공도서관 10개관 이용자들을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하여 이용자의 장서 이용 행태를 파악하고, 이를 바탕으로 서울시 구립 공공도서관을 위한 장서개발정책을 제안한다.
