This study, considering the many disputes in today's society centered around copyrights, aimed at analyzing and investigating the scope of application for copyright laws in library, whether where is a reach or not, and also the procedures and cognitive degrees in copying and transmission of copyrights materials. Especially the usage of the digital resources built by major domestic libraries have been looked at, and how they reveal the cognitive degree of copyright laws toward various social stratums have been analyzed. Research subjects in each social stratum were firstly classified, which centered around university library users, authors as well as librarians in each university library public access post, then the difference of understanding toward copyright laws between each of these 3 groups was analyzed, and also at the same time the problems in usage authorization procedures of copyrighted materials in library were analyzed. so that the solutions to such problems can be found.

The Internet offers a challenging information seeking environment for users due to a great amount of information, heterogeneous objects, and diverse information quality. The purpose of this study was to identify the ways of information seeking, evaluating, and using in the Internet by looking at search behaviors of science and engineering scholars in Korean university. The research problems addressed in the study include the utility of web information, information searching strategies, the extent of search engines usage, and scholarly value of information in the Internet. The data were collected through individual interviews with 28 scholars recruited from science and engineering fields at the Myongji University. It was found that the scholars in this study less likely turn to search engines for finding research information than types of information while they use search engines primarily for searching personal information such as travel and hobbies. This is partly because the scholars believe that the information, especially research-related information, in the Internet lacks the value as scholarly information. They also tend to believe that foreign literature available in the Internet is more credible, professional, and recent than domestic literature. In conclusion, the implications for search engine developers, librarians, and researchers as users and producers in the Internet are discussed.

The rapid advances in information technologies have resulted in not only the proliferation of the amount of information available but also the variety of information formats. Information literacy is the set of skills needed to find, retrieve, analyze, and use information. Therefore, information literacy which should be the core goal of the university education has been a new trend of the library instruction. Nevertheless, despite the increasing Interest in the information literacy. there has been little discussion about educational Programs. and there has been little coordination between faculty and librarians on the programs. Under such circumstances, campus-wide teamwork is needed so that the library instruction can become part of the entire learning Processes of university education. This Paper presents an overview of the models adopted by foreign university libraries and also analyses the successful cases of the campus-wide partnership of each model of information literacy programs. Based on these. the outline of the needed procedure for the enforcement of the information literacy in the university of our country is suggested.

Characteristics of Japanese public library recently has been changed to mutual networking between libraries, complex use of data, and long stay of users. Such change requires new service and contents. Also, in Korea, it is circumstance that interest of library's contents rise politically. And under government leading by BTL project, various libraries are increasing all over the country fast such as public library, extension of existing school library and the small library, etc. In this research, space composition of library, automatic check-out & bookshelf system, and mutual networking between libraries was analyzed by selected 3 libraries (central library of Chiba city, Tomisato and Ichigawa city library) of Chiba area and find applicable contents to our library system.

The demand for mobile database applications has been rapidly increased with the growth of mobile users and the development of wireless Internet technology. But the productivity of mobile applications is low and it takes much time to manage the versions of applications because the user interface and query processing code of applications is manually written. In this paper, we describe the design and implementation of the MobileGen that is a script generator for mobile database applications. The generated scripts enhance mobile application productivity by providing the code for operating with a database and processing user queries. Each script provides a corresponding deck that is a set of related cards as user interface. The MobileGen supports easy version management of generated applications and the MobileGen itself because it is based on the templates that are frameworks for scripts. Moreover, the MobileGen provides not only the interested entity but also the entities that are related directly and indirectly with the interested entity unlike the most commercial mobile script generators.

The increased person interests in health in accordance with improved living standards result in the booming population who enjoy mountain climbing. Although there are more climbers than ever, most existing mountain paths are those which have been made naturally by people utilizing them to get to the peak and therefore cannot meet the various needs of emerging mountain climbers. Thus, this study that establish a data using numerical map and TotalStation aimed to provide them with beneficial information on mountain paths, analyzing each path using GIS. The subjects of this study are limited to Kum-Am which is in Kyungnam province, Korea. According to out research, proper slopes for the majority of mountain climbers, mostly in their from 30s to 50s, are turned out to be HG1 and JG1-JG2-JG3.

As interest in green growth picks up, the importance of bicycles which are an environment friendly means of communication has been magnified. However, bicycle routes which are the base of bicycles are designed without considering topographic elements and thus many users are experiencing inconvenience in using bicycles. The present study presents a routing technique to select optimal routes when selecting routes in commuting to school utilizing bicycles. To this end, a formula for optimum route calculation considering slope and intersections was drawn and a method to select optimum routes by applying modified Dijkstra Algorithms was studied. According to the results, the bicycle routes for commuting to school should be selected by the shortest time rather than the shortest distances to the destination, because it required reach the destination faster. Therefore when selecting the routes, it must be based on the shortest time considering waiting time due to crosswalks or crossroads and speed variations due to slopes.

Young adults are not met adequately by the traditional public library service patterns, being compared for children and adults even though they belong to the main user groups in number. Adolescence is a unique developmental stage distinct from childhood and adulthood and it is fair to say that today's young adults face complex present and confusing future. Projects are made to address the full spectrum of the young adults needs and the important role of public libraries as partners to solve the social youth problems in the USA. The library professional organizations issued young adult service guidelines, recommendations, and manuals to assist public libraries to offer good service programs to young adults. This paper provides the basics of young adult services in the public libraries to help Korean public libraries acknowledge the importance of young adult services and improve the framework of young adult services.

The problem of missing child is a social problem. It became a social problem that all parents must consider. These social and public sector issues need urgent improvement. There are many studies on the problem of preventing missing child worldwide as an area of increasing interest. However, in the past, mainly the method of monitoring the position information of the child depending on the equipment was mainly tried. In addition to this method, a method of learning local information is required. In this paper, we propose the game "Save the village," a flight shooting game based on the player's location information and local information. It is expected that it will be possible to learn local information naturally through this game. It is also expected that children will be able to cope with the situation without embarrassing or confusing even in a strange area.

This study examines the trend and issues of sociological studies of social network service(SNS). For this purpose, the studies were classified into three types. The first type of study concerns spatial characteristics of SNS. It deals with the impact of such SNS usage on individual attitudes and behaviors. The second type of the study focuses on the formation process of interrelationship among users. It is based on sociological concepts such as trust and social capital. The last type of study emphasizes the impact of SNS on society. The study includes the issues of social movement and political participation. In the future study of SNS, more diverse sociological subjects, such as social integration, exclusion, public welfare, and affective support need to be dealt with.
