The service strategy of the public library needs to be established based on the users who are the actual beneficiaries of the services, including the perspective of changes in the social environment. This study investigated and analyzed the users' perceptions of the library functions and services currently provided and the demand for future services, targeting public library users in the Busan area. The data were collected through a questionnaire, and the respondents were 733 public library users in Busan. The main result is that first, the role and function of the public library that Busan users consider most important was still in material collection and provision. Second, in the information service type, the demand for cultural/lifelong learning program service was the highest, and in the service program, the demand for new IT technology experience and education was the highest. Third, as a result of ISA analysis of information service type, material provision service and information literacy education service were types to be maintained, and reading related service was type to be managed intensively. Fourth, in the analysis of service demand by age, those aged 41 to 50 years old were the generation with the highest demand in all types except for the information literacy education service type, and the demand for information literacy education was the highest among the elderly generation over 61 years old. And the user group in the western part of Busan was higher than the user group in other regions in demand for almost all service types. The results of this study can be used as basic data when establishing strategies to optimize community public library services for users.

이번 조사는 한국데이터베이스가 국내외 기관 및 개인 데이터베이스 이용자를 대상으로 데이터베이스 이용 실태 및 정보 수요를 파악하고, 수집 결과의 면밀한 분석을 통해, 데이터베이스 이용자에 대한 객관적인 정보 및 데이터베이스 산업의 장기 추이 예측에 활용할 수 있는 자료 제공을 목적으로 진행된 것이다. 데이터베이스 이용현황은 국내 데이터베이스의 이용, 이용자 실태 및 정보에 대한 수요를 조사,분석하고 그 문제점과 개선사항을 도출하여 국내 데이터베이스의 발전 방향을 정립하고 데이터베이스 이용의 활성화를 유도하는데 그 목적이 있으며, 2000년 7월부터 8월 중순까지 국내 각 기관 및 개인을 대상으로 국내 데이터베이스 이용실태 및 정보수요에 대한 조사내용을 조사, 분석한 결과이다.

This study proposed to develop a model for user-customizable policy information services, based on an assessment of policy users' demands and a case analysis of customized services. To do this, we analyzed literature related to user customized services, performed case studies, and carried out a survey targeting policy information consumers. In this way, this study suggested that information retrieval and data offerings, reference information services, policy information network services, library marketing services, and personalized service are details which user-customizable policy information services must provide.

Innovation in university library spaces is challenging to effectively support the education of the university's future learning and innovation capabilities, including creativity, critical thinking, communication and collaboration. The purpose of this study is to investigate the perception and need of library space from the perspective of users and librarians, and to suggest the direction of space innovation through this. For this study, we designed each questionnaire for users and librarians, and collected responses from 363 users and 186 librarians in the university library to analyze their needs and perceptions about their library space. The librarian's need for the space was analyzed by the size of the library and the demographic factors of the librarian. The user's need was analyzed by the user's attributes. In addition, we analyzed the differences between librarians and users for the need for space and space services. The results of this paper may be useful for reference when planning a new library or building a space based on user.

국민소득 증대와 여가시간 증가에 따른 여가 활동에 대한 수요가 증가하고 해양관광 및 해양레저에 대한 수요가 지속적으로 증가하고 있다. 기존의 낚시 활동이 전문낚시객에서 가족중심의 체험을 통한 해양관광 형태로 변화하고 있어 해양관광 활성화와 이에 적합한 모델 개발이 시급한 실정이다. 낚시활동을 기반으로 한 새로운 해양관광 모델인 낚시복합타운조성을 위한 낚시인구 및 이용자 실태조사를 실시하여 낚시복합타운 조성을 위한 기초자료로 사용하고자 한다.

The purpose of this study Is to analyze and describe the characteristics of the information needs and information seeking behavior of ST information users of the KISTI. Questionnaires were distributed to the ST information users in the academic, industrial, and scientific sectors via mail. The role of the KISTI as the specialized information source and intermediary for other institutional information sources as well as individual users and the need for improving the strategies for customer-based services and collection development were evaluated. Major findings include the need for a more comprehensive effort to collect, preserve, and communicate the ST information resources. the need for much broader collection of journals and conference proceedings to provide the documents "on demand" for users, and the need to improve DDS in general.

An autonomous demand-responsive bus with mobility-on-demand service is an innovative transport compensating for the disadvantages of an autonomous bus and a demand-responsive bus with mobility-on-demand service. However, less attention has been paid to the quantitative impact assessment of the autonomous demand-responsive bus due to the technological complexity of the autonomous demand-responsive bus. This study simulates autonomous demand-responsive bus trips by reinforcement learning on a microscopic traffic simulation to quantify the impact of the autonomous demand-responsive bus. The Chungju campus of the Korea National University of Transportation is selected as a testbed. Simulation results show that the introduction of the autonomous demand-responsive bus can reduce the wait time of passengers, average control delay, and increase the traffic speed compared to the results with fixed route bus service. This study contributes to the quantitative evaluation of the autonomous demand-responsive bus.

This study proposes a way to timely forecast open government data (OGD) demand(i.e., OGD requests, search queries, etc.) by using keyword network analysis. According to the analysis results, most of the OGD belonging to the high-demand topics are provided by the domestic OGD portal(data.go.kr), while the OGD related to users' actual needs predicted through topic association analysis are rarely provided. This is because, when providing(or selecting) OGD, relevance to OGD topics takes precedence over relevance to users' OGD requests. The proposed keyword network analysis framework is expected to contribute to the establishment of OGD policies for public institutions in the future as it can quickly and easily forecast users' demand based on actual OGD requests.

In this study, to improve the satisfaction of library users in the hospital and to examine how to activate the library in the future, the satisfaction of library, facilities and environment, staff, service, We conducted a demand survey and searched for the operation plan of the library that satisfied the user. As a result, in order to revitalize the library in the hospital, first, in the case of the collection, it is necessary to expand the number of collections of various topics with the latest contents. Second, it is urgent to expand the number of library staff in the hospital. In addition, it is necessary to improve communication expertise based on medical expertise and ability to respond quickly to user requests. Third, it is necessary to expand the size of library and convenience facilities in the hospital by facilities and environment. Fourth, in case of service, it is necessary to improve service quality and provide various services. Experts should provide subject search service, medical information source service, general health information service (patient and carer) according to the user. Finally, in the case of programs, it is necessary to expand the infrastructure for program operation, to diversify the targets, and to extend the program continuity.

The users' needs are expanded because of developing of educational robot market. However, the technology development doesn't fully adopt customer needs. In general, the most products are followed not user needs but technology trajectory. In this paper, we try to define the educational robot functions from analyzing usage propensity and customer needs with Kano model. According to results, there are key functions based on customer needs such as remote student control, Internet search, educational contents search and study planner. If the four key functions are offered, user's positive attitude to robot will be increased.
