ASSESSMENT OF THE NEEDS OF SELF-CARING RETIREMENT VILLAGE RESIDENTS FOR COMMUNITY SERVICES (RETIREMENT VILLAGE에 거주하는 자가 돌봄이 가능한 노인들의 지역사회 서비스에 대한 욕구 사정)

  • 지역 사회 서비스는 노인들이 질적으로 보다나은 삶을 영위할 수 있도록 돕는 기능을 해야 한다. 적절한 서비스의 공급을 위해서는 지역사회 서비스 욕구 사정의 과정이 우선적으로 요구되어지며, 이에 본 연구는 호주 NSW주 Illawarra지역내의 retirement village에 거주하는 자가 돌봄이 가능한 노인들의 지역사회 서비스에 대한 욕구를 평가하는데 그 목적을 두었다. Illawarra지역내의 여덟개 retirement village에 거주하는 98명의 자가 돌봄이 가능한 노인들을 대상으로 그들의 1) functional status; 2) 지역 사회 서비스에 대한 지식정도; 3) 지역 사회 서비스 사용정도; 4) 지역 사회 서비스 만족도; 5) 잠재적인 지역 사회 서비스 욕구 등에 대한 자가 보고형 설문조사가 이루어졌다. 수집된 자료들은 JMP(for Mackitosh) program으로 통계 처리되었고, computed frequencies가 본 연구의 목표 달성을 위해 주로 사용되었다. 연구 결과를 요약하면 아래와 같다. 1. 평균 연령 76세인 대상자들의 80%이상이 그들의 일상 생활 운영에 다른 사람의 도움을 필요로 하지 않으며 건강상태 또한 양호하다고 자각했다. 2. 90%이상의 대상자들이 지역 사회 서비스를 이용하지 않았다. 3. 70%이상의 대상자가 지역 사회 서비스의 존재에 대해 지각하고 있었다. 4. 60%이상의 대상자가 필요시에는 지역 사회 서비스에 관한 정보를 어렵지 않게 얻을 수 있다고 생각했다. 5. 40%의 대상자가 기존의 지역 사회 서비스에 대한 양과 질에 만족을 나타냈고, 그 외의 대상자들 (60%)은 그 지역 사회 서비스에 대한구체적인 지식이 없다고 보고했다. 6. 25%의 대상자들이 여러 지역 사회 서비스에 관한 관심을 보였다. 결론적으로 대다수의 대상자들은 대부분의 지역 사회 서비스들을 필요로 하지 않았고, 이러한 결과는 현재 자가간호가 가능한 retirement village 거주 노인들에게 당연한 것으로 보여진다. 그러나, 자존감이 강한 노인들에게 서비스 욕구는 자가 돌봄이 건강에 대한 포기정도로 왜곡되어 자각될 가능성이 있는 만큼, 본 연구를 통해 보고된 대상자들의 지역 사회 서비스에 대한 관심도는 고려해 볼만한 가치가 있다고 여겨지며, 이에 노인들의 자존감이 서비스 욕구에 미치는 영향에 대한 연구를 제언하는 바이다.

Effects of Dance Sport Coach's Attractiveness on Basic Psychological Needs and Exercise Adherences Behavioral Intention of Dance Sport Participants (댄스스포츠 지도자 매력성이 참가자의 기본심리욕구와 운동지속 행동의도에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the effects of dance sport coach's attractiveness on basic psychological needs and exercise adherences behavioral intention of dance sports participants. By analysing a total of 306 dance sport participants from 6 sports centers in Daejeon with statistical analysis such as factor analysis, reliability analysis, and multiple regression analysis, this study found the followings. First, the level of dance sport coach's attractiveness has an influence on dance sports participants' basic psychological needs. Second, the level of dance sport coach's attractiveness has an influence on dance sports participants' exercise adherences behavioral intention. Third, dance sports participants' basic psychological needs has an influence on exercise adherences behavioral intention.

The Relationship between physical exercise needs, exercise commitment and exercise addiction based on the degree of participation by health club members (헬스 참가자들의 참여정도에 따른 운동욕구와 운동몰입 및 운동중독의 관계)

  • The aim of this study was to examine the relationship between the physical exercise needs, exercise commitment and exercise addiction based on the degree of participation by health club members and furthermore to verify the suitability of the structural model of variables based on these relationships. The subjects for this study include adults aged over 20 years old who exercised for over 3 months in 2014 Random sampling of data from subjects at their convenient time and place known as the convenience sampling method was used to analyze a total of 151 surveys. The collected data was statistically processed using SPSS 18.0. The results of the analysis reached the following conclusions. Firstly, depending on the degree of participation of the health club member, a significant variation was perceived between physical exercise needs, exercise commitment and addiction. Secondly, physical exercise needs had a significant influence on exercise commitment. Thirdly, physical exercise needs had a significant influence on exercise addiction. Finally, exercise commitment had a significant influence on exercise addiction.

The Impacts of Individual Differences on Purchase Intention for Small Enterprise Products: the Roles of Quality and Channel (개인적 차이 변수들의 중소기업제품 구매의도 영향에 대한 연구: 품질과 유통의 역할)

  • Our objective is to investigate the various variables that influence the purchase intention of small enterprise products and to interpret the impact of these variables in terms of individual differences. Need for cognition, need for uniqueness, and self-regulation are selected to explain the choice or purchase intention. The major reasons that consumers are reluctant to purchase small enterprise products are mainly due to problems in quality and distribution channel. When these problems are resolved, it is interesting to see how the individual differences affect purchase intention for small enterprise products and how the impacts will be changed. Previous studies assumed uni-dimensionality of need for cognition and need for uniqueness. We relaxed the assumption, incorporated the nature of multi-dimensionalities for these variables and showed that sub-dimensions of these variables have different effects on the purchase intention. After improving the conditions of quality or distribution channel, promotion focus and prevention focus for sub-dimensions of self-regulation have positive impacts on the purchase intention and sub-dimensions of need for cognition and need for uniqueness have enhancing or reducing effects on purchase intention. These results can be interpreted that consumers expect some levels of quality or distribution channel to reach consumer choice. Results for cluster analysis showed that how sub-dimensionalities of individual difference variables are combined to form groups and how these groups are related to purchase intention. Emphasis of quality over price has a negative correlation with purchase intention of small enterprise products.

A Study Exploring the Relationship between Leisure Needs and Perception of Psycho-Social Aging among Older Adults (노인의 여가활동욕구와 심리사회적 노화인식)

  • This study examined the relationship between leisure needs and perception of psycho-social aging among 1307 older adults aged over 60 years utilizing social services of a social welfare center for senior citizens in Seoul, Korea. A convenience sample of this study was collected for three weeks in December 2012 among older adults via paper survey. Hierarchical multiple regression was utilized to analyze collected data. The present study demonstrated that age, years of education, perception of health status, and perception of economic status were significantly associated with perception of successful aging. However, years of education and perception of economic status were no longer significantly associated with perception of psycho-social aging, when leisure needs was included. Age, perception of health status, and hobbies/entertainment activities and employment/plan of later years activities among types of leisure needs were significantly associated with perception of psycho-social aging. This finding demonstrates that leisure needs influence perception of psycho-social aging. Implications and suggestions to improve perception of psycho-social aging among older adults are discussed.

A Study on Family Caregivers' Preferences for Utilization of Community-based Welfare and Health-care Services (요보호 노인 부양가족의 재가복지 및 재가보건 서비스 유형별 이용의향에 관한 연구 - 2002년도 서울시 노인복지 기초수요조사 자료 분석 -)

  • The purposes of this study are, 1) to explore the factors related to the family caregivers' preferences for service utilization both of the community-based welfare and health-care services, and 2) to examine the reasons why not want to use services analyzing a survey data obtained from family caregivers(n=1,000). Anderson and Newman's Behavior model was employed to examine the factors related to the preferences for service utilization. The main results are as follows. 1) Logistic regression analyses demonstrated that predisposing factor(such as age and relations with frail elderly) and enabling factor(such as economic status, secondary caregiver, informal informational support provider, etc) were significant predictor for caregivers' preference for service utilization. Contrary to an expectation, needs factor was negatively related to the preference for service. More specifically, the more they have service needs, the less they show their willingness to use community-based service both in welfare and health-care services except for care education program. 2) Caregiver identified 'family caregiving consciousness'(family should take care of frail elderly, elderly dislike be taken care of) as an important reason not want to use community services next to financial factor. These findings have several implications for policy making especially for 'public long-term care insurance' which was planned to start in 2007.

A Target Selection Model for the Counseling Services in Long-Term Care Insurance (노인장기요양보험 이용지원 상담 대상자 선정모형 개발)

  • In the long-term care insurance (LTCI) system, National Health Insurance Service (NHIS) provide counseling services for beneficiaries and their family caregivers, which help them use LTC services appropriately. The purpose of this study was to develop a Target Selection Model for the Counseling Services based on needs of beneficiaries and their family caregivers. To develope models, we used data set of total 2,000 beneficiaries and family caregivers who have used the long-term care services in their home in March 2013 and completed questionnaires. The Target Selection Model was established through various data-mining models such as logistic regression, gradient boosting, Lasso, decision-tree model, Ensemble, and Neural network. Lasso model was selected as the final model because of the stability, high performance and availability. Our results might improve the satisfaction and the efficiency for the NHIS counseling services.

A comparative study on factors of social welfare service utilization between general and low-income group (사회복지서비스 이용에 영향을 미치는 요인 - 일반계층과 저소득층의 비교연구 -)

  • This study examined the factors affecting social welfare service utilization of general group and low-income group. The following influencing variables were selected based on the model developed by Anderson and Newman(1973): predisposing factors, enabling factors, need factors. The result shows that in both group the possibility of service utilization is high in case of having a spouse, more family members, feeling one's health ill, no chronic disease. And service use level is high in case of having no spouse, lower income in general group, higher income in low-income group, more family members, feeling one's health ill, having a chronic disease. In addition, the higher service use level is associated in low-income group with men rather than women, younger age, low education, the unemployed rather than the employed, urban residents, low life satisfaction. These findings provide implications and suggestions that each income group has various characteristics and needs, so it is necessary to provide comprehensive and appropriate services through the investigation for potential service recipients' needs.

  • Physical environments of service firms have been found to influence on customers' quality and purchase intentions. This study began with the preposition that purchase of service products derived from utilitarian or hedonic needs would be different in the influential path. With cases of Korean coffee-shops, this study found ambient, interior, cleanliness of physical environment directly influence to customers' emotion but indirectly influences to purchase intentions. The study also found, differently from some previous studies, appearances of employees had no effect on emotion nor on purchase intentions.

  • 본 연구는 소비자가 다른 사람과 차별되며 특별하게 지각되고자 하는 성향을 나타내는 소비자의독특성 욕구와 의복에 대한 관심이 브랜드 인식, 브랜드 충성, 및 구매의도와의 어떠한 관계를 지니고 있는지를 밝히고자 하였다. 특히 이러한 관계에 있어 문화간의 차이가 있는지를 알아보기 위하여 한국과 미국 소비자를 대상으로, 소비자특성이 구매의사결정에 미치는 과정의 모형을 검증한 후, 두 모형을 비교 분석하였다. 자료는 설문지를 사용하여 한국과 미국대학생을 중심으로 수집되었으며, 응답이 부정확하거나 불성실한 설문지를 제외하고, 총 485부-한국 271부와 미국 214부-만이 최종 자료 분석에 사용되었다 본 연구에서 사용한 통계분석방법으로 신뢰도 검증을 위하여 SPSS 11.0을 이용하여 신뢰도 계수를 구하였으며, Prelis 2와 Lisrel 8.53으로 확인적 요인분석 및 모형검증을 실시하였다. 한국과 미국소비자의 선택친 모형을 비교한 결과, 전반적인 모형의 구조에도 차이를 보였을 뿐 아니라 각 변수간의 영향력에도 차이가 있음을 나타냈다. 소비자의 독특성 욕구의 하위차원인 '독창적 선택'과 '브랜드 충성도'의 관계는 두 그룹간의 반대의 성향을 보였으며, '비대증적 선택'과 '브랜드 인식'도 또한 한국 소비자는 정의 관계를 보인 반면, 미국소비자는 부의 관계를 나타냈다. 이와 더불어 유사성을 회피하려는 한국소비자들은 브랜드에 충성하는 경향이 있는 반면, 미국소비자들은 브랜드 인식도가 높은 것으로 나타나 두 문화간의 차이가 있음을 뒷받침하였다. '브랜드 충성도'는 두 집단 모두 '구매의도'에 상대적으로 높은 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.
