아스팔트 포장 조건이 교면방수 시스템의 인장접착강도에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Asphalt Pavement Conditions on Tensile Adhesive Strength of Waterproofing System on Concrete Bridge Deck)

  • In this research, eight waterproofing membranes were selected from commercial market and the tensile adhesive characteristics of the waterproofing system (WPS) on concrete bridge deck were investigated in view of various factor in asphalt pavement. Tensile adhesive strength (TAS) test of different asphalt pavement types showed that TAS of WPS under SMA (Stone Mastic Asphalt) pavement was greater than that under dense asphalt pavement. Tensile adhesive strength (TAS) of sheet membranes was improved as the compaction temperature of asphalt concrete increase, but TAS of liquid membranes were not. TAS of sheet membranes after wheel tracking test were in the order of the sites under wheel path (UWP), before wheel tracking (BWT) and nearby wheel path (NWP), Since TAS of the same WPS of UWP was higher than TAS of BWT, wheel loading had function of pressing WPS resulting in higher adhesive strength, But liquid membranes were variable on types, The feature of detached interface after T AS test showed that sheet types were all detached in between deck concrete and WPS, and liquid types were detached in between asphalt pavement and WPS,

  • Use of deicing chemicals has been and will continue to be a major part of highway snow and ice control methods. Chloride-containing chemicals such as calcium chloride or rock salt are main deicers for the road. Extensive use of chloride deicers is, however, not only the source of substantial cost penalties due to their corrosive action and ability to deterioration roadway surface materials but also the source of environmental damages. Finding the deicing chloride agents impacts on the environment and develop the minimizing strategies, we evaluated that chloride deicing agents influence on highway roadside soil and establish the optimun strategies.

  • This paper is evaluated for properties of aggregate and antiwashout admixture not only to minimize segregation and water contamination of underwater concrete but also to meet concrete quality required. Two antiwashout admixtures used in this study were available domestically and slump flow, pH, setting time, and filing property of fresh concrete and the compressive strength, flexural strength under water and in the air under 2 different curing conditions ($10^{\cire}C$ and $20^{\cire}C$ ) were measured. Compressive strength ratio of specimens cured in and water temperature $10^{\cire}C$ /$20^{\cire}C$ added HPEC and HPMC was 64% and 89%, respectively. Relative compressive strength of 2 kinds observed higher concrete added HPEC, 3% at $10^{\cire}C$ curing temperature, 34% at $20^{\cire}C$ . The flexural strength of specimens made under water was 1/4~1/6 of compressive strength similar to the existing data in the literature.

  • In order to traffic safety during winter season, snowfall and cold area has been spread the deicing chemicals, and the spraying amount is increasing every year. Use of deicing chemicals has been and will continue to be a major part of highway snow and ice control methods. Chloride-containing chemicals such as calcium chloride or rock salt are main deicers for the road. Extensive use of chloride deicers is, however, the source of substantial cost penalties due to their corrosive action and acceleration to deterioration concrete structures. Deterioration due to de-icer salt occurs in practice in concrete pavement, dike, barrier and similar structure. This paper reports the results of effect of de-icer salt on durability of concrete structure in winter. To protect concrete structure from damage by de-icer salt in winter, the exposure test was performed using three methods such as increase in design strength upto 35MPa application of granulated blast furnace slag powder, and concrete sealer. Of these, the method of increase in design strength upto 35MPa showed better durability for deterioration by de-icer salt.

  • 다이캐스팅과 같이 가압 사출방식을 이용한 제품 성형 공정에서 관심의 대상이 되어왔던 연구 주제 중 하나는 어떻게 하면 금형 내에 충진되는 용탕의 유동을 층류성으로 제어할 수 있을까 하는 문제이다. 그러나 다이캐스팅 공정에서 일반적인 용탕의 사출속도로는 그 유동 특성을 제어하기가 거의 불가능하다. 이러한 사출속도의 설정 및 게이트의 형상설계를 하는데 있어서 대부분 경험적인 자료를 이용하고 있어 공정의 효율성을 극대화하고 있지 못한 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 용융 마그네슘합금이 금형내에 충진 될 때 유체의 유입속도 및 탕구형상이 유동에 미치는 영향을 전산유체역학을 이용하여 충진 및 응고해석을 하였고, 예견되는 제품의 결함 및 결함제어 가능성을 진단함으로써 개선방안을 제안하고 최종적으로 금형설계 제작에 반영하여 실제 주조된 제품을 해석결과와 비교하였다. 또한, 본 연구에서 주조된 전자기부품의 미세조직을 관찰하고, 인장강도 및 파괴 특성을 관찰 하였다. 실험결과 빠른 응고속도에 따른 조직의 미세화 효과로 항복강도, 인장강도 그리고 경도 특성이 우수하게 관찰되었다.

  • This research is targeting that estimate the effect on cement concrete pavement with type of chloride deicers. In order to this study objective, when chloride deicers were spread on road surface, thermal characteristics test was conducted. Also, skid resistance test according to types and concentration of chloride deicier, road surface conditions were investigated. As a test results, thermal characteristics with kind of chloride deicier could know that sodium chloride(NaCl) is exothermic reactive material, calcium chloride$(CaCl_2)$ is endothermic reactive material. And, in case of mixed salt of the calcium and sodium chloride, it could know that can change to the exothermic or endothermic reaction according to dosage ratios. Skid value by British Pendulum Tester(BPT) has shown that it is seldom difference between the types($CaCl_2$, NaCl, mixed salt) and solution concentrations(0.5, 0.8, 1.0, 4.0, $10\%$) of chloride deicier comparing with tap water except mixed salt($10\%$ solution concentration).

철근의 부식정도와 부착강도에 대한 연구 (A Study on the Relationship between Degree of Rust Condition and Bond Strength in Reinforced Concrete Members)

  • An experimental investigation on the reinforcing bar corrosion and relationshid of reinforcing bar and concrete bond strength has been conducted to establish the allowable limit of rust in the construction field. The reinforcing bars used in this study were rusted before embedding in concrete. The first component of this experiment is to make rust of reinforcing bar rust artificially based on Faraday's theory at certain rates such as 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10% of reinforcing bar weight. For estimation of the amount of rust by weight, Clarke's solution and Shot blasting were adopted and compared. Parameters include 240 and 450kg/㎠ of compressive strengths and diameter of reinforcing bar (16, 19 and 25mm) corresponding development length for pull-ort test. And, pull-out tests were carried. out according to KSF 2441 and ASTMC 234 to investigate the effect of the corrosion rate on reinforcing bar-concrete bond behavior. It is found from the test results that the test techniques for corrosion of bar used in this study is relatively effective and correct test method. Results shows that up to 2% of rust increases the bond strength regardless of concrete strength and diameter of reinforcing bar like the existing data. It might be because of the roughness from rust. As expected, the bond strength increases as compressive strength of concrete increases and the diameter of bar decreases.

  • The waterproofing system's performance is known to show a determining by complex interaction of material factors, design details, and the qualify of construction, and the waterproofing integrity of waterproofing membranes is determined by the bond to the deck and the amount of damage to the waterproofing membrane. In this research, the basic properties of waterproofing membranes on market and the tensile adhesive characteristics of waterproofing systems of concrete bridge deck have also been investigated in the view of the damages frequently reported from job site. As a results of tensile adhesive strength of waterproofing system, tensile strength is decrease with surface moisture contents except for inorganic-elastomeric liquid waterproofing membrane, and increase with strength of deck slab. Also tensile adhesive strength is generally increase in case of moisture curing of specimen because of pore structure and surface leveling. The after asphalt concrete paving tends to increase more than before those. The results of the liquid waterproofing membranes are upside-down, and the more concrete has strength, the more strength of tensile adhesive increase. The ambient temperature and the rolling temperature of asphalt concrete when application of the waterproofing membrane has considerable influence on the performance of waterproofing system.

Effect of the Existing Rust on Bond Strength of Concrete and Reinforcement

As expected, the bond strength increases as compressive strength of concrete increases and the diameter of bar decreases.

프리믹스 플라이애시 콘크리트 동결-융해 특성 (Freeze-thaw of Durability for Premixed Fly Ash Concrete)

  • 우리나라에서 시멘트 콘크리트 포장에서 알칼리-골재 반응에 의한 파손이 보고된 후, 알칼리-골재 반응에 대한 대책 방안 수립이 연구되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 시멘트 콘크리트 포장에서 알칼리-골재 반응을 억제하기 위한 방법으로 프리믹스 방식으로 플라이애시를 전체 바인더 증량(시멘트 + 플라이애시)의 20%를 치환하는 방법을 적용하였다. 동결-융해 실험에서 공기량 3% 이하의 시편을 제외하고 모두 시편의 3사이클 후 상대동탄성계수는 90 %이상이었고, 스케일링 실험에서 50 사이클 후 무게 손실량이 1kg/$m^3$이하가 측정되어 내구성이 우수한 것을 알 수 있었다.
