Counterfeit Money Detection Algorithm using Non-Local Mean Value and Support Vector Machine Classifier (비지역적 특징값과 서포트 벡터 머신 분류기를 이용한 위변조 지폐 판별 알고리즘)

  • Due to the popularization of digital high-performance capturing equipments and the emergence of powerful image-editing softwares, it is easy for anyone to make a high-quality counterfeit money. However, the probability of detecting a counterfeit money to the general public is extremely low. In this paper, we propose a counterfeit money detection algorithm using a general purpose scanner. This algorithm determines counterfeit money based on the different features in the printing process. After the non-local mean value is used to analyze the noises from each money, we extract statistical features from these noises by calculating a gray level co-occurrence matrix. Then, these features are applied to train and test the support vector machine classifier for identifying either original or counterfeit money. In the experiment, we use total 324 images of original money and counterfeit money. Also, we compare with noise features from previous researches using wiener filter and discrete wavelet transform. The accuracy of the algorithm for identifying counterfeit money was over 94%. Also, the accuracy for identifying the printing source was over 93%. The presented algorithm performs better than previous researches.

  • In a situation where the medical care field is developing from various angles, medical promotion video analysis has an important meaning. It is important as a matter of improving competitiveness, and in the era of acceleration of AI systems, medical care is also the leading field. Accordingly, the importance of videos on publicity, advertisements, and explanations is very important, and it is also an important direction to change the image of a company. In this study, the design characteristics and differences in the video were compared, focusing on the comparative analysis of professional videos of AI medical brands, with two foreign major companies (Stryker and Hill-rom) and one domestic leading company (Nine Bell), and detailed part analysis and section analysis were performed accordingly. As a technical partial analysis of image editing, the transition method and infographic graphics were considered. In an in-depth comparison, we found that AI medical imaging Points such as differences in image tone and image color harmony were analyzed and compared. For a detailed analysis in the video image determination part, we compared and studied the differentiated elements appearing in the promotional design and specific scenes of the video intro part and the product description video part of each video.

  • This paper proposes a new JPEG format, All-in-JPEG, which can include not only multiple photos but also various media such as audio and text by extending the JPEG format. All-in-JPEG add images, audio, and text at the existing JPEG file, and stores meta information by utilizing the APP3 segment of JPEG. With All-in-JPEG, smartphone users can save many pictures taken in burst shots in one file, and it is also very convenient to share them with others. In addition, you can create a live photo, such as saving a short audio at the time of taking a photo or moving a part of the photo. In addition, it can be used for various applications such as a photo diary app that stores images, voices, and diary text in a single All-in-JPEG file. In this paper, we developed an app that creates and edits All-in-JPEG, a photo diary app, and a magic photo function, and verified feasibility of the All-in-JPEG through them.

Documentation of Printed Hangul Images of the Selected Area by Finger Movement (손가락 이동에 의해 선택된 영역의 인쇄체 한글 영상 문서화)

  • In this paper, we realized a system that converts the Korean alphabet (Hangul) images, which are in any domain that is formed by the finger movement on the Hangul document, to the editable characters and then outputs them to the word editor. The domain of hand is separated from the sphere of document in the pre-process step of image. The centroid point of hand is drawn by the maximum circular movement method. After the system recognizes the hand with the circular pattern vector algorithm, finds out the position of finger by the distance spectrum and then draws out the sphere of selected character image by the finger movement to divide the characters into character units by applying the histogram between the Hangul characters. We standardized the characters of various sizes. We used the circular pattern vector algorithm that grafts on the fuzzy inference to divert the character images of the domain, which user wants, to the editable characters by comparing the characteristic vectors between the standard pattern character and the inputted character and by recognizing the character.

  • In this paper, we propose a system of mimicking image classification for building database system. It better manages the format which recording the same advertisements multimedia in advertisements image. Recently, the work of converting database is made directly by the people. This work doses the media scanning, image editing and saving, and saving of advertising information (date, the media, the page and size, so far). Therefore, it is wasted a lot of time and manpower as inefficient business. To solve these problems, first of all we gain an image by digital camera, extract and classify candidate area of advertisements. Accordingly, our system saves database to comparison of the mimicking of all advertising and classify whether area of image is the new or existing advertising.

  • In the present, animations of auteurism and aestheticism became a unique genre of art that expresses directors' idea. 'Tale of Tales' by Yuri Norstein, a Russian animator, is a paper animation that emphasizes the cut out technique and picturesque feeling as well as complicated structure of sequence in expressing metaphysical themes in the author's historical realism. It is evaluated as unique and creative. The present study analyzed the montage technique applied through the development of several symbolic images, the diachronic expression of contradictory worlds, the unique foreshadow of revealing the causes of results later, rapid repetition of urgent and serious situations, the movement of the camera to express the psychological distance between two characters in different situations and the process of editing. The derived results of this study are expected to be helpful in the works of animators of auteurism and aestheticism.

  • The video production, as a recording data about the archeological survey, has advantages to be visualized in actuality and historical fact presented objects with elements such as moving images, audio(voice) and text(subtitle). While the report with text and images such as photographs and drawings does not present exactly, the video production can record a concrete excavation process to be difficult of represent with former media. To make a practical use the video production in archeological surveys, the use dimension should be expanded to the entire archeological excavations and the shooting and editing work should be done by those video production-specialized staffs. Ultimately, when this video production device is used but also for the survey purposes but also for the education, exhibition, and even commercial purposes, it can have the substantial meaning as a survey tool.

  • The appearance of Internet, the 5th medium which has succeeded newspaper, magazine, TV, radio, creates WEB MAGAZINE to overcome the restriction of space and time. This paper has conducted the contents and visual points of view in webmagazine. Through case study, the following and identify for the analysis of the webmagazine contents and visual format. Firstly, communication at webmagazine is carried out at the user-centered atmosphere. Secondly, Even through an aesthetic is emphasized in the webmagazine, when web designer compose of the web site, it is necessary to find the proper methodology under the basis of user's behavior. Thirdly, Although webmagazine required the visual form, we should know that the evaluation of webmagazine should be implemented by users. Therefore, webmagazine should be designed by the user-centered layout.

  • This paper describes a multimedia synchronization model based on the MPEG-4(Moving Picture Expert Group) system. It defines and modifies new nodes for representing temporal relationships between media objects in the BIFS(Binary Format for Scene) of MPEG-4 system which Integrates, manages and transfers multimedia objects such as audio, video, image, etc. The relationships are represented by using a multimedia temporal model during the start, play and delay time interval. In addition, we illustrate a multimedia authoring system that includes the Interface used for defining the temporal relationships. Differently from several contentional tools generally appropriate for professional users who can edit the BIFS nodes of themselves, the system provides end-users with the function that can define the temporal relationships of multimedia objects directly in the interface.

  • This paper propose a practical algorithm to reuse and expand the objects. This algorithm is based on the Motion Path Modification rules. We focus on reusing of the existing motions for synthesizing new motions for the objects. Both the linear and the nonlinear curve-fitting algorithm are applied to modify an animation by keyframe interpolation and to make the motion appear realistic. We also proposes a framework of the scenario-based 3D image synthesizing system that allows common users, who envision a scenario in their minds, to realize it into segments of a cool animation. The framework is useful in building a 3D animation in game programming with a limited set of 3D objects.
