Detection of Foreign Objects Using Bobbin Probe in Eddy Current Test (이물질에 대한 ECT Bobbin Probe 검출 감도)

  • Residual foreign objects at the secondary side (top of the tubesheet and tube support plates) of a steam generator are likely to cause a leak by causing wear in the tube. The extent of wear is significantly affected by the material, shape, and size of the foreign object, and the corrosion properties of the tube. The presence of foreign objects at the top of the tubesheet and tube support plates has been identified using remote visual inspection methods such as the foreign object search and retrieval and eddy current test (ECT). The detection of the residual foreign object at the secondary side of a steam generator has limitations that depend on the material properties and the condition of contact with the tube. In this study, which is vertical and horizontal from the upper tubesheet, the corresponding bobbin ECT signals were collected and analyzed to measure its ability to detect foreign objects.

  • In a loss-of-coolantaccident, considerable debris may be generated and transported to the recirculation sump. The accumulation of debris will reduce the netpositivesuctionhead and threaten the safety of thenuclear power plant. Both NEI 04-07 and USNRC SER suggesteda CFD methodology. However, additional investigation is needed to consider the unique characteristics of nuclear power plants. The transport of the generated debris is strongly influenced by the break location and the plant characteristics, including the configuration.In this paper, a CFD methodology for blow-down transport evaluation is proposed and applied to an OPR1000 nuclear power plant. The results show that the percentage of small debris transported to the upper containment is 32%, which is 7% larger than the valuegiven in the NEI 04-07 baseline analysis. This result may be used as a point of reference in future analytical studies.

  • Foreign object debris (FOD) is a generic term for various metals and non-metal foreign object and materials with potential hazards to aircraft operations. Since the method of manual FOD detection and collection in the aircraft moving area is very low in efficiency and economic efficiency, it is essential to develop to FOD automatic detection system suitable for domestic environment. This paper is the result of the performance comparison test results of the two systems for the combined operation of each optimal detection time and 95% accuracy above 100 m for complex operation using the fixed FOD automatic detection system and the mobile FOD system using EO/IR camera and radar at Taean Airfield Hanseo University. It is expected that FOD can be performed unattended through continuous R & D.

  • Iatrogenic foreign bodies are a challenging complication to both the interventional radiologist and patient, resulting in impaired quality of life and substantial financial cost. The case report describes a successful percutaneous transhepatic removal of an intra-abdominal foreign body. A 72-year-old man underwent surgery for placement of a retrievable covered stent for refractory bile leakage after left hemihepatectomy. Three days after placement, stent folding and migration into a chronic biloma cavity occurred via the bile leakage site. By using a balloon catheter technique, the folded stent could be straightened and repositioned into the bile duct to minimize stent-strut injury during retrieval. The interventional approach could be a valid treatment option for intra-abdominal foreign bodies, as well as intravascular foreign bodies. A thorough understanding of devices and techniques can provide the interventional radiologist with valuable information regarding procedural planning and the management of iatrogenic foreign bodies.

  • Intrapulmonary aberrant needle is rarely encountered in clinical practice, Even if the patient is asymptomatic, the aberrant needle should be removed because it can migrate into the major organs and cause lung abscess or empyema. We report here or 2 cases of successfully removed intrapulmonary aberrant needle, along with a review of the literature.

  • Metallic fixations devices are widely used in the surgical management of fractures and dislocations of shoulder. It is known that Kirschner wire (K-wire) may migrate into the thoracic cavity or other organs may occur. We report a case in which a K-wire previously placed in the clavicle migrated into the thoracic cavity without causing any trauma to the major vascular structures and was removed successfully by thoracoscopic surgery.

  • FOD refers to various metals and non-metallic foreign substances that pose a risk to aircraft. FODs occur in all areas and time zones, including runways, taxiways, and maintenance facilities, and pose a fatal hazard to aircraft safety during aircraft movements and take-off and landing. Rapid and effective detection and removal of FODs in the runway is required. As part of recent developments in aviation safety technologies, automatic detection of debris in runways in airports is under way. In this paper, we conducted an automated detection test using the EO/IR camera and radar at the Taean campus of Hansu University to confirm normal detection during the day and night.

  • 현재의 웹은 동일한 답변을 요구하는 중복된 질문들과 은톨로지의 부재로 인해 심각한 자원 낭비의 문제를 안고 있다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위하여 이동 에이전트를 이용한 정보 공유 시스템이 대안으로 제시되었으나, 서버 수의 급증에 따른 자료 처리시간 증가와 사용자의 의도라는 전설 다른 달변을 가져오는 등의 문제를 여전히 안고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 이물 해결하기 위해 RDF와 ROFS 기반의 은톨로지를 활용한 시스템을 제안한다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 시스템은 잔바 기반의 이동 에이전트와 RDF, RDFS 기반의 은톨로지로 구성된다. 분산 이형 환경에서 독립적으로 운영되던 질의 응답 게시판을 검색할 때, 이동 에이전트는 코드의 이동으로 네트워크의 부하를 방지하고 구조화된 온톨로지는 질문에 대한 도메인을 확인함으로써 효율적인 이동 에이전트의 라우팅을 제공한다. 본 논문에서 제안한 시스템을 전자상거래에서 빈번하게 발생하는 상품에 대한 소비자들간의 질의 응답 게시판에 적용하여 시멘틱 웹 환경에서 도메인 추론을 통한 에이전트 라우팅과 가중치를 부설하지 않은 클래스의 속성 비교를 이용한 검색 방법이 시간의 단축과 네트워크 부하의 감소, 그리고 기존 시스템의 가장 큰 문제점이었던 정확도(precision)와 재현율(recall)을 개선하는데 효과적이고 타당하다는 것을 보여준다.

  • 본 연구는 급변하는 기후변화에 대응하기 위한 이동식 전처리 여과취수장치 및 이를 이용한 물 생산용 취수시스템에 관한 것으로 홍수시나 가뭄시 이물질과 부유물질의 제거를 통해 후속 여과 장치의 부하 경감과 여과 효율의 극대화를 꾀할 수 있고, 필요시 비상용수 및 생활용수로 신속히 활용할 수 있는 시설에 관한 것이다. 기존 이동식 물생산장치의 수처리 공정은 1NTU 내외의 깨끗한 물이 유입되지 않으면 여과기(RO SYSTEM) 막이 폐색되어 생산된 물의 수질이 일정치 않아 재난 시 활용하는데 어려움이 있었다. 반면에 본 연구의 물 생산용 취수시스템은 전처리 여과취수를 통해 이물질과 부유물질의 제거가 가능하여 후속 여과 장치의 부하 경감을 통해 유지관리비용 최소화와 여과 효율의 극대화를 꾀할 수 있고, 필요시 신속히 생활용수로 활용할 수 있으며, 다양한 급수원(하천, 저수지, 댐, 지하수 등)을 통한 수량 확보가 가능하고, 평상시 다용도(하천정화, 녹조제거, 도로 청소, 조경수 등)로 사용이 가능한 물생산시스템이다. 또한, 비상시 이동식 차량에 탑재하여 이동 및 운반이 가능할뿐만 아니라 저수지나 댐 또는 하천 등의 원수를 취수하여 이중 관 구조의 여과기를 통한 전처리로 지속적인 여과력을 발휘하여 이물질이나 부유물질을 신속히 제거하고, 역세척수 공급으로 여과재를 쉽게 역세척할 수 있어 여과 성능의 저하를 방지할 수 있다. 본 연구에서의 이동식 전처리 여과취수장치는 다양한 조건에서의 수치모의를 수행하여 평상시나 비상시 다용도의 필요수량을 확보할 수 있도록 장치의 최적화를 수행하였으며, 이를 통해 안정적인 수자원 확보와 활용이 가능하고, 국내 물 시장에서 물생산시스템의 다양성을 확보하여 국민경제에 기여할 수 있고, 향후 물 부족 국가의 ODA 사업에 진출하여 수출증대 효과를 얻을 수 있을 것이다.

The Effect of water-extract of Epimedium koreanum Nakai on age-related changes of the xenobiotic metabolizing enzyme system in the liver of rats (음양곽의 추출물이 노화에 따른 흰쥐 간의 이물질대사 효소계에 미치는 영향)

  • Epimedium koreanum Nakai(EKN) has traditionally been well-known as a herbal medicine for the promotion of stamina and the improving sexual activity of human in oriental countries including Korea and China. The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of dietary supplementation of EKN water-extract(0.025%,w/v) on age-related change of xenobiotic metabolizing system in rat liver. Long-term supply of the EKN extract to rats did not induce any discernible signs. However, the mass of liver and kidney were slightly increased by the dietary supplementation. Level of cytochrome P450, NADPH cytochrome P450 reductase, P450 dependent ethoxycoumarin O-deethylase benzphetamine N-demethylase and glutathione-S-transferase in liver were decreased with age, but, these activities in 24 months of age were declined more in rats supplied with EKN extract. Level of cytochrome b5 and NADH-cytochrome b5 reductase were also decreased with age, however, there was no significant difference between with and without EKN extract. These results indicate that long-term supplementation of EKN extract to rats from weaning to 24 months may be a burden on the liver function in old age, and may aggregate the decline of xenobiotic metabolizing enzymes activities in old age.
