본 논문에서는 웹의 발달로 인해 정적이고 이미지 위주의 정보를 제공해주던 기존의 단순한 웹 환경에서 벗어나 동적이고 멀티미디어 형태의 정보제공이 가능한 Java Active X 기술을 이용한 이동코드에 대하여 살펴보고 , 이동 코드 사용시 발생 가능한 취약성과 그에 따른 보안 모델을 분석한다. 또한 기존의 보안 모델을 보완한 새로운 보안모델을 제안한다.

이동 컴퓨팅 환경에서 미디어 서비스를 할 경우 일반 웹 서비스와는 달리 설러 가지 문제들이 발생한다 예를 들면 무선망의 특성상 네트워크 대역폭이 낮고, 네트워크 단절이 발생한다. 본 논문에서는 무선망의 이런 특성에도 불구하고 이동 컴퓨팅 환경에서 실시간 멀티미디어 서비스를 무선 단말에 원활하게 제공하는 방법으로 two-tiered proxy system을 제안한다. 그리고, 효율적인 캐시 관리 메커니즘과 효과적인 handoff를 지원하기 위한 proxy transfer protocol를 또한 제안한다.

인터넷의 발전에 따라 서비스에 대한 사용자 요구가 다양해지는 동시에 서비스 품질에 대한 요구가 높아지고 있다. 멀티미디어 서비스는 대량의 데이터로 구성되어 네트워크에 트래픽 부하를 증가시키며 이로 인한 지연, 동기, 패킷 손실과 칼은 문제가 발생되나 서비스의 품질을 협상할 수 있다는 특성도 가지고 있다. 이 연구에서는 인터넷에서 제한된 대역폭의 사용 효율성을 높이면서 멀티미디어 서비스의 품질(QoS)을 보장하기 위한 기법으로 동기화된 멀티미디어 서비스의 QoS와 통계에 기반을 둔 지수적 무게 이동 평균 기법을 제안하였고, 협상을 위한 모듈을 설계하였다.

멀티미디어 기술의 급격한 발전으로 인해 대부분의 전송되는 파일들은 다양한 멀티미디어 데이터를 포함하고 있다. 이러한 멀티미디어 데이터를 전송할 때 송수신자의 익명성 보장은 최근 PET기술의 급격한 관심과 더불어 상당히 큰 이슈로 부각되고 있다. 그러므로 송수신자의 익명성을 보장하는 기술들에 관한 최근 연구 동향을 살펴보는 일은 중요하다. 본 논문에서는 다양한 멀티미디어 데이터를 전송 시 송수신자의 익명성을 보장하는 최근 기술 및 현황들을 Mix-net 기술을 중심으로 살펴본다.

In this paper we propose the structure of MPEG-4 multimedia player platform for Terrestrial Digital Multimedia Broadcasting (DMB) Service. Korea will launch DMB service at next 2004 you based on Eureka-147 Digital Audio Broadcasting (DAB) Service System. This new mobile multimedia broadcasting services provide not only high quality digital audio broadcasting services, but also various multimedia data broadcasting services including high quality video. For the sake of MPEG-4 Systems technologies, it will provide an interactive service to users in the near future. Therefore it terminal shall have various functionalities as well as playing audio-visual contents. However there is no precedence standard for such mobile interactive multimedia broadcasting system. Therefore it is very import to provide the multimedia player platform of DMB service for accelerating the development process of commercial terminal and providing a direction of next DMB terminal structure.

In this paper, mobile multimedia service is defined as a service which is used for Internet or multimedia contents without regard to place in the mobile or wireless environment. The purpose of this paper is to search consumer's purchase decision factors by means of literature review and expert's opinion and to analyze a purchase decision structure and its weight. Some implications were found. Firstly, mobile multimedia service purchase factors relating to cost and quality are more important than external causes. Secondly, cost is more important than quality, that is different from result of mobile telecommunication and high-speed Internet service. Thirdly, direct effect such as pertinent charging and terminal price is more important than indirect effect such as pricing differentiation. Finally, main features of service such as mobility and contents are more important than additional characteristics such as personalized service.

There are some problems of current internet protocols to support the mobility of terminal in wireless environments. The mobile IP has come out to solve these problems, but there exists some problems like triangle routing, the need of each host's home address and the management of tunneling. Also. real-time multimedia traffics require fast hand-off, low latency and the utilization ratio of high bandwidth. SIP can support the mobility of wireless terminal and is widely accepted as the protocol which can support multimedia service and call setup in next generation network. In this paper, the framework of SIP system will be designed and implemented to support the mobility of wireless terminal by using JAIN API which follow the standards of next generation network and this system matches the standards of next generation network.

본 논문은 현재 국내 디지털 오디오 방송의 잠정 표준으로 채택된 Eureka-147 시스템에서의 멀티미디어 전송 프로토콜 규약인 MOT(Multimedia Object Transfer) 프로토콜을 적용하여 멀티미디어 파일을 전송할 경우의 성능 분석 및 파라미터 최적화 방법을 제시하였다. MOT 프로토콜은 멀티미디어 파일을 전송하는 세그먼트 크기, 세그먼트 반복횟수와 같은 파라미터 설정값에 따라서 FER(File Error Ratio)이 변화하므로, 성능을 최적화하기 위한 파라미터 설정이 중요하다. 세그먼트 내에서 비트 사이의 오류 사건이 독립이라는 가정하에서 MOT 파라미터 설정값을 찾는 이론적 수식을 제안하였고, 이동 채널 환경의 시뮬레이션을 통하여 이론식과 비교하였다.

최근 멀티미디어 메타데이터의 국제 표준인 MPEG-7 표준화 활동이 활발히 이루어짐과 함께 메타데이터를 이용한 멀티미디어 컨텐츠 서비스가 이동환경에서 중요한 응용분야로 자리 매김 할 것으로 예상된다. 이런 에러 경향이 큰 매체들은 안정적인 비디오 전송을 위해 에러에 강간한 여러 기법들이 연구되어 왔다. 본 논문은 MPEG-7 멀티미디어 메타데이터를 에러 발생율이 높은 이동 환경에서 안정적인 전송을 위한 에러 강건화 방법을 처음으로 시도한다.

이동 휴대 수신을 목적으로 한 멀티미디어. 서비스 시대가 다가오고 있다. 국내에서는 지상파 및 위성 DMB방송이 이제 막 서비스를 시작하고 있고, 유럽에서도 DVB-H라는 휴대수신용 멀티미디어 방송 기술을 표준화 하고 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 이동 휴대형 멀티미디어 서비스에서 적용될 수 있는 기술인 DVB-H 기술에 대하여 논하고자 한다.
